We were first introduced to Juan when my husband found him through Yelp - he wanted to have a custom initial bracelet made- see photo. It was exactly what we wanted - Juan was very responsive and has amazing attention to details. He shared renderings of the design so we knew exactly to expect. After such a good experience I had an idea....... I had inherited a large gaudy gold and diamond pendant that sat in my jewelry box for decades without ever being worn (that gold nugget style is so 80s!!). I brought it in to Juan with only a loose idea......and together, we designed this stunning custom necklace that incorporates the diamonds from my original piece into something modern and so elegant that I can't wait to wear it! And I have updated a family heirloom so that it is both meaningful and beautiful. Juan is such a kind business person. He treats all his customers with so much respect regardless if they are buying diamonds or having a watch battery replaced. The store feels safe and secure with total access control: the door remains locked and you need to be let in. I believe he is also the owner. He was very friendly and personable to both me and my boyfriend, which made the experience more memorable. He even showed me around the store, going over some jewelry pieces and their very reasonable prices! You can tell that he has quality craftsmanship and will really listen to your needs. This place often looks closed because there isn't often jewelry in the window, but I've found it's usually open. I walked in one day when I was passing by because I wanted to see about getting the charms from two different necklaces put onto one chain. The other jeweler in the center said they send theirs out to do stuff like that so it would take a week. This was kind of a simple thing but because of the size of the clasps I couldn't do it myself, I needed a professional. The main guy was SO nice and was friendly and chatty even though my kids were being crazy. He ended up doing it for free and in one day. It ended up exactly how I wanted it. Wanted to get my engagement ring resized and cleaned before our 12 year anniversary but I only had less than a week. Usually at big retail jewelers they can take up to 2 weeks because they have to ship it out but I found jewelry loft on Yelp and thank goodness I did! They don't have much variety in store, if you are hoping to browse through several great pieces of jewelry this isn't the place for you (they didn't even have a variety of metals/colors for ring bands for either men or women) when I asked about variety they said they could custom make it or order something similar but that defeats the purpose of shopping around to see different options to find what you like. read more

I was bouncing store to store looking for my now fiancés engagement ring, and I was exhausted. Every place I went to was pushy on what they had versus what I wanted to get.
