My partner and I went ring shopping at various jewelry shops before finding out about Juan at Jewelry Loft. The jewelers we previously met with, both big retailers and local shops, weren't easy to work with. We felt pressured into purchasing a more expensive wedding band and when I asked about moissanite one of the jewelers tried to talk me out of it by saying moissanite isn't a durable stone and loses its shine easily which is why it isn't "used in bridal". With Juan, I never felt rushed and he was so intent in informing me about the differences between both stones. I had initially picked out one of the wedding bands and of course a few weeks before the wedding I changed my mind. I showed him a photo of a ring style that I loved and he crafted it for me within a few weeks using moissanite! He had it done sooner however he called me to tell me that he felt like the craftsmanship wasn't up to par so he would be creating another ring with a slightly wider band. Throughout the whole process Juan was really sweet and patient. It really felt like he genuinely cared and the ring was beautiful! It also felt so special to have a unique band. The jewelry loft is literally a hidden gem. It's conveniently located in grossmont center near the entrance by Jamba Juice. I called ahead of time to get a quote for fixing lifted prongs on my engagement ring and was told to bring it in so they could get a better idea. I went over there and in 5 minutes Juan was able to look at it and have the jeweler fix it. I think I was there a total of 10 minutes maybe. Now my ring is perfect and I am happy to know if I ever have a problem again, I have a trustworthy place to go to. New Jewelry store in Grossmont Center, we walked in because of their watch battery sign outside and FELL IN LOVE. It's small, well stocked and has some different designs and lines in here. My son's Nixon watch needed a new battery, but got a face lift instead. For a small charge Juan took the Nixon and made it look brand new. He buffed it out, shined it up, changed the battery and gave it a little tune-up, presto new watch. AWESOME job and not expensive, WAY less than his competitors. He also has a great selection of Jewelry, there are designer lines I have not seen before, but some really fun looking pieces. The best thing about this new store is the customer service.
