Pineapple Beer - Cute presentation, but not worth the price. Made from a combination of Budweiser, pineapple juice, and Sprite, it's a novelty that doesn't live up to its cost. I'm always down for a good Peking duck, and after hearing so many people hype up this spot, I finally checked it out. The restaurant was smaller than I expected, but cozy enough. Food wise, I'd give it a solid four stars. The service, though, is what dragged the whole experience down to three. For most of the meal, it felt like we were invisible. Servers walked by, made eye contact, and still somehow didn't stop. We ended up flagging down the same person every time we needed anything. Funny how the only moment anyone wanted to chat was when it was time to sign the check and leave a tip. That part definitely set the tone for the night. Now, onto the food: -Pork and crab soup dumplings: honestly some of the best I've had. The filling was rich, the broth had great depth, and the wrapper was thin without breaking. I'd get these again without thinking twice. -Half Peking duck: good flavor and a nice presentation, but the portion felt small for the price. The skin also wasn't as crisp as it should be. Boston has better duck for better value, so this didn't stand out the way I hoped. -Flank steak with special sauce: more like a braised beef dish than a classic steak, but still tasty. It was just okay for me, but my husband really liked it. The sauce was the star. -"Whole" seabass with peppercorn: we were expecting a whole fish, but what arrived was a small bowl of sliced fish. It tasted good, but the presentation didn't match the description, which was disappointing. I'd come back for the soup dumplings and maybe try a few more dishes, but I'm in no rush.
