We both ate there outside and ordered food for pickup with family and friends. Jibek Jolu is a welcome addition to Glen, took the spot of Ra, sushi place. This is Middle Asian food, predominantly Uzbeki, but other "Stan" countries are represented, like Kyrgyzstan, as well as Russian, Ukrainian, and even Georgian dishes. It is slightly eclectic selection. This is large and expansive looking place with plenty of room to eat and roam outside on the terrace, and it is important during COVID-19 era. Service is friendly, prices are moderate to expensive. Lunch specials are good deal, with soup and appetizer plus main dish. The food is a bit uneven, some dishes are very good, done are passable. Lamb and plov are excellent in my opinion, and so is samsa. Chebureki are too salty, solyanka and beef dishes are ok, but rather mediocre in quality and flavor. Work in progress, but mostly positive experience. We will be back, and you should give it a try too! read more

"Hanging Skewers" from beef - was very tender and juicy, it was also served with a side dish - I chose steamed vegetables, they were aldente and properly cooked.Freshly baked bread was also brought before serving dishes.From the drinks I took Earl Gray tea and honey cake, the honey cake was very tender and melted in my mouth. This was our first time of many more times going to this place. The staff go beyond usual expectations to make it a special event for you, particularly our sever Dasha, the manager Eduardo, and the chef assistant Morat were really awesome in providing the best service and food. The food was fantastic, there are so many great items on the menu that you have to go back again and again to enjoy it. The place was very nicely deco rayan decor very clean. We were a crowd of 21 people and all the orders were taken very accurately and final bills, 7 separate bills, had no mistake at all. A great new addition to the Glen. With its inviting deck, a beautiful view to the Glen Park, its delicious food, and good service, it quickly became one of our favorites. The food is fresh and tasty. We came with a group and ordered to share Chebureki, Samsi, Pelmeni, and Manti, which are meat-filled pastries and dumplings of all shapes and sizes, fried, baked, boiled and steamed. All were delicious. We also ordered a cabbage salad and eggplant salad, both were very good. The service is also good, especially for a new restaurant. We have been waiting for Jibek Jolu to open for a while! I wasn't motivated enough to visit the location in the city, but heard great things about the food. We were not disappointed! My husband had solyanka and was very impressed. The shashlik was very flavorful, as were the manty. The stars of the show for me were plov and kuurdak. I've never even heard of kuurdak before, it sounds so simple, but trust me, you should try this dish, it's amazing! The honey cake for dessert was on point. The only dish I could skip was chebureki, maybe I just lost my taste for deep fried stuff. Our server was very pleasant. We sat outside, but peeked at the beautiful decor inside. Our table was way too close to the nearby table, where a large group of people was sitting. A bit too close for comfort. Another off point was with the bar. My husband ordered a cocktail, the waitress nodded her head like she understood, but the drink that arrived was totally wrong. He tried ordering again, then gave up. I think next time, we will have something simple from the bar. Side note, we tried ordering takeout from these guys, and were told the kitchen is too busy to do takeout ordered on weekends. It's got great food, and a very nice place. Great mixture between, very classy and more casual. The one Big problem that stood me and bothered me is that my server definitely forgot about me and my table. It was a table for 2 and I definitely feel not taken care of. Couple times I had to find the guy to ask for my receipt. Than the server totally forgot to come and collect my payment. So than I had to go to the front desk and show them my receipt and then pay for my bill. And while doing that my server comes and totally tells me how he is sorry that he forgot about me. That's unacceptable. Definitely didn't feel comfortable and well being. I would definitely try to straight the workers out before they cause more and more bad reviews. !!! read more

The ambiance and the food we're both great but the service is lackluster. The server we had was not very informed about the menu. She made several mistakes and the other server who served the food didn't know the names of many of the dishes. There was also a musician who didn't have a mask on and wouldn't leave the table until he was tipped. I hope this restaurant makes it because the food is great. I've been to Jibek Jolu in the city several times. Always good service and food was delicious. This place in Glenview did not meet my expectations at all. Food was bland, tasteless , very small portions. Service is terrible! Wait staff brought in the cake but forgot to bring us plates and forks to eat it with until we asked them to do so. I also wish that guests inside were more encouraged or asked to wear masks while not seated. We have dined at Jibek Jolu many times. The food is delicious. We have tasted almost every item on the menu and love them all. However the shish kabobs (beef and chicken) are my personal favorites. The presentation is very nice as well. The decor is quite inviting. The large windows give it a lot of natural light during the day. The patio is great as well. Even though situated on a busier street it doesn't bother me at all. Kuma who is in charge of large groups and catering recently catered our dinner at home for 8 guests. The food was delivered warm and tasty. It was such a fantastic experience that we hired Kuma / Jibek to cater a 50 guest party!
