I've gone to the jiffy lube a couple of times when I was not able to go to either my dealer or my real mechanic was busy. Yes they change oil (not rocket science), yes the staff is friendly (which is nice) and yes the place is clean. These are very positive and are important. On the down side - they always put the hard sell on, you need to upgrade to high mileage service (a complete rip-off with no technical advantage), you need a transmission service (as easy as an oil change but they charge $130). The best is you need a fuel filter for $100, a part that retails for around $10 on most cars and can be installed in 5 minutes. So be prepared to not listen to their advice (, it is only a thinly veiled attempt to up sell you) and have to say no several times The other major downside, they overcharge for everything. Oil is $4.99 per quart from them, retail you can get name brand oil for $4.00 a quart and these guys are pumping from a bulk barrel. Same goes for any other part you purchase from them, they are about 30% ABOVE retail plus installation. If you say something about the price gouging the manager will go into an explanation about service (although you are still paying for the service) and how everyone knows that their prices are competitive and with all the service they provide (again service you pay for) it is a great deal. If you don't have a choice, can't find a quality mechanic or consider you car a disposable item, this is the place for you. Otherwise try another place first. Its not that these guys are bad, their not, Its that I have little appreciation for a business that price gouges and misleads their customers, it is guys like this that give the auto repair industry a bad name. read more

As a previous reviewer stated, I paid over $80 for this oil change.   The oil change was done, but none of the other services. The receipt shows that the car was vacuumed, washer fluid refilled, and windows cleaned. They were not completed. If you are not going to do the service, don't put it on the invoice! read more

yeah so it is OK .... they do an oil change. of course they don't always vacuum your car .... I even ASKED them to this time ... no vacuum ..... air pressure? nope .... so when do you guys actually take the time to do all of those checks you say you do? Reminder sticker on the windshield, nope .... They guys are pretty cool, so the service is good, but you don't get what they say you get. I'm a little miffed about that. Guess it is off to the car wash to vacuum it myself, good thing I have an air compressor at the house so I can inflate my own tires. I'll had to fix the old sticker with the new date. I always come to this place for my oil change and the customer service is beyond great every time. Today I am leaving to take a trip to Laredo to visit family, so I needed an oil change and new wiper blades. I only have $50 to my name right now, because of a situation out of my control, so I asked them to do both for that, and get the cheapest of everything. I got my daughter's car for an oil change which a 'special' for $24.99. I wish I had got the young man's name who did the invoice and caused me to write this on yelp, but as I was on my conference call, he started hounding me for a bunch of services that were 'critical' . I authorized one service , a radiator flush, and had to fight them off to do another 200$ worth of services.. Unbelievable !! To add insult to injury, when I checked my bill later, I was charged not for the 'special', but signature service + an oil upgrade , both NOT authorized , which cost me $59.99 $ (difference of $ 30) and the radiator flush had a charged for using a radiator cap.. imagine that for $14.99$ along with rainix window treatment and battery cleaning for 3.99$ and 4.99 $ So in total this wonderful Jiffy Lube , gipped me by $60 , all whilst I was on a call. Absolutely unethical behavior.. If there was a way to rate this lack of service as - stars, I would !! Furious !! read more

Leaving for Georgia today and took my car in last night for an oil change before the 1000 miles 15 hour trek. Got home, oil dumped out all over my driveway, none left in the car! Tires are grossly over inflated and the tube to my air filter box is now broken. Planned on leaving at 5am but now I'll be waiting on them at 7am to fix their mistake. read more

Please do not take your vehicle anywhere near this location. The personnel at this location do not know what they are doing. I took my 99 passport in for a oil change and asked them to check the fluids. The manager told me that I needed a transmission service "Badly". I asked him when he checked the fluid since I was watching him the whole time. He told me that he "knows" what he is talking about. I witnessed then doing god knows what under the car, but he never went near the transmission oil check plug nor did he run the vehicle. He never checked the fluid. Ok. I am a mechanic. I replaced the engine in this car 20K miles ago and serviced the transmission 3K miles ago. I did not want to crawl under the vehicle to do the oil change this time, I'm getting lazy in my old age. Besides, the transmission was just serviced and all I wanted them to do was check the level. It is always a good idea to re-check the trans fluid after about 3k miles. Transmissions are very sensitive to low fluid conditions. I did not want to deal with the oil change so I took my vehicle into this location. This is why the manger and other people do not know what they are doing. 1. This vehicle is equipped with a 4L30 transmission. This transmission does not have a dipstick nor filler tube. The proper level check procedure is the start the vehicle, let it warm up for 3 - 6 minutes. Place the vehicle in Neutral. Then, remove the oil check plug under the car that is 4 inches away from the main transmission drain plug. If fluid drops out, the level is fine. If no fluid comes out, add fluid to the unit until it does. A technician needs to *pump* fluid in to the transmission via the transmission oil check plug if he needs to add. The manager never even started the car and told me that I need a full service. When I told him that he was blatantly lying to me, he become hostile and argumentative. BAD, PEOPLE, VERY BAD! 2. They tried to sell me on a "High Mileage" oil service package without ever noticing that the engine is almost brand new. When I mentioned this to them, they just shrugged and said that they know what they are doing that thats their recommendation. 3. They let me leave 1 quart low on fluid. VERY, VERY BAD PEOPLE! Do not take your car here. they will damage it. Their arrogance alone will damage it. I would have had them stop everything, but they were in the middle of the oil change. I could not get out of there fast enough. It was worth 37.00 just to get them off of my car. read more

This place is great! I took my car in for an oil change and was very pleased with the level of professionalism of the staff. I was greeted right away and treated very well while at the shop. Sometimes at oil change places I feel like I'm always getting taken advantage of and "scared" into purchasing items/services I don't need, but the staff at this Jiffy Lube made me feel comfortable. Jiffy Lube just kind of sucks. They have a bad rep for not performing paid services that is well documented. They're expensive. They lay on the heavy up sale game as soon as they pop the hood. I used this location out of convenience/laziness for a while until they forgot to reinstall a filter o ring in one of our cars that resulted in a messy leak that I had to pay a proper mechanic to find, there was so much oil everywhere I couldn't tell where it was coming from. I'm back to changing the oil myself, even if it is a hassle. It's cheap and you know for sure the actual quality of oil and filter being used. Two stars because they are convenient and friendly enough. read more

This is my favorite Jiffy Lube! My husband and I both go out of our way to this specific location. We stumbled across this location when we lived in that area and will drive the extra 20 minutes just to have the service and quality. Ross is our favorite. He is very professional but also has a great sense of humor that just keeps bringing us back. After nearly 2 years of service here I thought I'd add my rare 2¢. I see negative reviews on here and can't help but think they must have the wrong Jiffy Lube. read more

the upsell is by far the most annoying thing at Jiffy Lube. Take me outside so you can show me all the stuff thats wrong with my car. woohoo! However the difference is that some "salesmen" pressure and other just inform you, and allow you to make an informed decision. Some explain so lay people can understand, while others just bombard you with technical jargon that makes no sense to most people. The problem with this location is that there seems to be a new crew every time I go there, right down to the manager. Zero consistency. I think over the last year there are only 2 people who remain the same. These 2 seems to be the most knowledgeable and forth coming with what may or may not be "wrong with my car". I think they are assistant managers but maybe just mechanics. Either way, stopping in just for advice they have been very helpful and pointed me in the right direction. So here;s the deal..no matter what oil change place you go to, they will always try and upsell you on other services. It is normal and people should just accept this or learn to do their own maintenance. Find a tech that talks to like a normal person, seems forth coming, and doesnt treat you like a target, or like they worship the ground you walk on because it might just get you to buy something. The managers at these places are usually not very bright and dont do well with confrontation, but the techs that arent really worried so much about sales as they are with doing a good job, will usually be more honest with you. Also the $10 off oil change is pretty much a joke, as it always $10 off. However searching online for better Jiffy Lube coupons can actually save some really money. The service is a bit high anyway but the amount of what you get for the price paid is still a better deal than competitors. As one yelper said, problems can happen, mistakes will happen on occasion, but it is more about how the mistake is resolved that makes companies stand out. i always go here to get my oil changed. never disappointed. i went in today to get my oil changed and ended up needing my radiator hose replaced. Phil, Hannah, Jason, and Jose took care of everything for me hassle free. i was in a hurry which they understood so once they started i was out of there in less than 30 minutes. they are all so polite and professional. they are hard workers and great people. next time you need an oil change, tire rotation, or whatever, choose this jiffy lube for sure! read more

Love them so much! They didn't pressure me to buy unnecessary items and they were so friendly! Not to many people believe in customer service and they went above and beyond. I got out my car the door was held open for me and my kids, coffee was provided and a break down of my car in detail was given to me without being told what I BETTER get! I really appreciated the great information given and how it was delivered. Better yet my car didn't take all darn day to get an oil unlike other places around Austin that tell you it will be 30 minutes and it ends up taking 2 hours for an oil change. On 10-25-16 I brought my F-150 in for an oil change and inspection. I was pleased that there was no line and the service began immediately. I watched the attendants add oil to my truck. I paid my bill ($121.20) and was on my way. I have had spotty service at quick lube places and have even been charged for service that was never performed. When I got home I wanted to make sure the oil levels were full and that the oil looked new. This was the case. Then I looked more closely at the oil filter. WHICH HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED!! I know this because it had caked on grime on the outside of the filter. Needless to say I was pissed that I just spent $120 and was charged for a new filter. What if I hadn't checked? Did I even get the oil type (synthetic blend) that I paid for? Is this how your company chooses to do business? I find this completely unacceptable!! I immediately drove back to the site. Unfortunately the manager was not there. The two employees that were there agreed that the filter didn't look new but they gave me a lame excuse that the filters are on the shelf and may have gotten dirty in the bay. I find this extremely hard to believe. I have change my on filters before and the one left on my truck clearly had residue that you would expect after 5,000 miles. I think this is a complete load of BS. They did re-change the oil and filter and I left again. I find this deception completely unacceptable. I will never use your service again!! read more

DO NOT let ROSS or KRIS work on your vehicle. Ross will screw you over and sell you anything so that they can make budget for the day. Went in for an oil change and he tried selling me three different flushes. When I told him I just wanted an oil change he got all snarky and walked away. Kris is the one who changed my oil. He stripped my oil pan! They said they were going to top off my coolant as well and they charged me for it but it never happened. They are not a very trustworthy place to go to. We took our truck in for the yearly inspection last week on a lunch break. When they scraped the old sticker off they left the bits of white paper all over the dash. We asked them to clean it up. To do so they used a greasy rag and simply dusted the bits onto our seats, floors, etc. Had to get back to the office otherwise we would have insisted they do a better job. This is the type of attitude we've come to expect at jiffy lube. We only went because it was fast. read more
