I will never be back to this location. I work in the area and really needed to change my oil that morning as i was heading out of town after work. As soon as i pulled up i was greeted by one of the technicians or so i thought it would be a good morning greeting instead he let me know they were backed up due to a scheduling issue. I really wasn't worried about the time, since i work in the area i let him know i could drop it off and they could take their time.. He looked at me and said "let me put this in a way you'll understand, i don't have any technicians scheduled, it is just me this morning so what i'm saying is we can't take your car" Wow OK! I get that he may have been a little stressed given the circumstances, but your scheduling error is not my issue as the customer. Get it together Jiffy Lube! I took my business up the street to Brake Check, not only did they offer me a discount, but had amazing customer service and more importantly, they didn't make me feel like an idiot! read more

I had been coming to this jiffy lube for several years because I was young and didn't know any better. I thought I had been getting decent service, but again, I didn't know any better. For my most recent oil change, my friend who is a mechanic offered to do it for me and let me know that the nut for my oil pan was almost completely stripped (from being over tightened) and my oil was so dirty that it couldn't have been changed within the last year. I guess they were just topping it up rather than changing it. Lesson learned. Luckily I can get the nut replaced, but $75 is an awful lot of money to pay for a few quarts of dirty oil and damage to my car. I'm giving two stars instead of one because presumably they really did change my oil at least a few times that I went or my car would not be running. And I know there are some good, honest guys that work there and do their job. But the turnover rate with staff there seems high, and I'm done playing Russian Roulette with my vehicle's health. I hope management will take this as a push to support the staff who really are trying there. I don't mean to slander those who work hard and honestly. But if you keep hiring people who lie and cheat (and apparently just don't give a fuck if they damage the cars), it doesn't really matter what quality work the other employees do. read more

They honored a price-match with my local dealership, but please know the quoted price does NOT include labor (~$30 more). It would be nice to see communication improved between staff and customers. Went in for an oil change a little slower due to them being understaffed but still work diligently to get our cars and issues addressed and were apologetic about slow wait time. only thing I might change is they use a vacuum to suck oil out instead of dispensing it from the bottom and from my observation it seem like that might take a little longer than the normal conventional way but it got the job done read more

I drove up and was quoted an hour for my car to receive a state inspection. I'm in the service industry so I know to give an extra 15-20 minutes on top of any quoted time just to be safe. Well, I wasted an hour and 30 minutes of my one day off this week waiting across the street while they completely forgot to do a simple 15-minute state inspection on my car. Not. Cool. Y'all almost ruined my day until I found Austin Automotive Specialists on S. Lamar, who got the job done in 15 minutes. Don't even bother getting it together, Jiffy, because I will do my best to never ever ever use your establishments again, and recommend that everyone I know and care about does the same. read more

You would think they would stop trying to sell everyone new air filters by this point, but they're still going strong after 10+ years of customers complaining about it. If you get any kind of service done here, ever, do not trust the technicians assessment and DO NOT buy any of the thing they say you "need". This is all just a tactic and there is rarely any merit to it. If you want to do an experiment, go get a brand new air filter and replace it. Then take your car to jiffy lube and watch them try to get you to buy a new air filter, even though you literally just put a new one in. I think it's more likely than not that this will happen. It's better to go to an auto shop that's small and local. read more

I want to start off by saying THANK YOU again to the amazing guy, Brian, who helped me today. I was the only customer there and was greeted as soon as I turned in. Brian had such a positive attitude through out the whole thing. Due to Covid 19 I had to stay in my car but Brian was very very patient with me when I got nervous and turned my windshield wipers on instead of my blinkers. Lol. He suggested some stuff that needed to be done to my car but when I said I just wanted to do the cheapest thing he didn't keep pushing. Which is always very very appreciated and what made me come back in the first place. He let me keep the paper with the suggestions that were made and the prices to have that work done. Last time I came in I got my air filter changed also by Brian and before throwing it away he compared both so I could see the difference. This time that I came he showed me how my new air filter was doing. Brian and another employee who's name I did not get even cleaned alllllll my windows! I felt a little overwhelmed when I realized I needed an oil change during the craziness of Covid-19 and felt bad because who would want to touch a strangers car during all of this!? Dropped by for an annual state inspection. They weren't busy; just a guy washing the back window of an SUV when I pulled up. He approached. The patch on his shirt said "manager." So far, so good. I ask him about an inspection and he hesitates for a moment then points to a crack in my windshield, and tells me that it won't pass. I reply that I'd looked up the rules and found that a cracked windshield isn't on the state checklist. He insisted otherwise - clearly he just didn't want to be bothered with it. I drove off as he returned to window washing. I went to a shop a few blocks north and the car passed inspection with no issue or mention of the crack. If the manager there is so lazy that he'll make up bogus excuses not to do an inspection, I certainly wouldn't trust him or his employees to perform an oil change or other work. So, this morning, on the way to work, I realize that one of my fog lights is out. I decided to stop here on the way home from the office. I'll give them two stars for relatively quick service and a price that wasn't astronomical (just over $27). The service is what tops them out at two stars. The first employee wasn't sure if they could replace fog lights, so she had to find someone else. The guy who replaced my fog light told me that there was water in the lenses and he could work on them if I wanted. He also told me that he didn't think the light ever worked. Finally, it took quite a while for them to come in to do the checkout -- and they couldn't figure out how to ring me up for just the light replacement. At least I didn't trust this group with an oil change today. read more

I didn't come in expecting amazing service, but there are some basic things that I think should be standard when you go to a shop like Jiffy Lube....things like checking fluid levels in your car, and putting air in low tires. I came here for an oil change because I'd purchased a Groupon which included their Signature Service oil change, new wiper blades (which I desperately needed!) and a car wash at some other place. It was $45, which was a pretty good deal, but I should have known it was too good to be true. I dropped off my car, notified them about my Groupon, and was called out to my car in about 10 minutes. They recommended that I get the higher grade of oil, as well as a tire rotation, which i did because my car just turned 10 yrs old and reached 100,000 miles and I intend to keep it going until a viable electric car comes out (wishful thinking, perhaps). This all went well, and they had my car done quickly. Everyone I talked to was nice enough. SO why 2 stars only? About 4 days after I left jiffy lube, my front tire was almost flat. I'm not saying this is their fault, but since they upsold me on rotating my tires, would it have killed them to do a complimentary top-off of air in the tires? I mean, they were looking right at them... That's not the end of it. My Groupon, and their website promised "a detailed inspection of the antifreeze and coolant reservoirs, engine air-filtration system, serpentine belts, wiper blades, and exterior lights." 8 days after this supposed "detailed inspection" of my antifreeze and coolant reservoirs, my car overheats and dies on the freeway. I take it in to a shop, and they tell me my radiator is cracked, which costs me nearly $400. I know like, 3 things about cars. One is how to put air in tires. If I can do it, anyone can. Another thing I know is how to check the coolant/antifreeze levels. There are obvious markings on the tank that say MIN and MAX. It's pretty easy. Oh, also, the coolant tank is located next to the oil reservoir, so it's not so hard to look at it since they were already changing the oil. I really would have appreciated a heads-up that my coolant level was low, as it probably would have alerted me to the fact that I needed to service my radiator, and I wouldn't have had to go through a car breakdown on the side of a freeway. These COULD have been coincidences, and I will say - for the sake of the 2 stars I gave them - that they did change my oil and install wiper blades properly and quickly. But 2 car-related situations so soon after having my car serviced is a little warning sign. I wouldn't go back to this Jiffy Lube (or any other, most likely) - and I would caution others who do go here to specifically ask for them to examine your engine fluid levels, since that doesn't seem to be a standard part of their "Signature Service." read more

Usually love Jiffy Lube, but the oil change service is a scam - came in to get my oil changed and asked for good quality synthetic. Turns out they will not sell the synthetic oil without the "signature service" which includes vacuuming, tire pressure, and fluids check for an additional $40, making the whole cost over $90. This would have been fine, but I needed none of those things. Just the oil. I told them I wasn't going to pay for that and they informed me that they'd already drained the oil. With no other choice, I just went with the regular non-synthetic $29.99 oil change. Afterwards they informed me that my vehicle only takes synthetic oil, so that I'll have to be careful to only use that moving forward. The overall lack of communication was pretty upsetting. Last time I'll be using this service. The only reason I'm giving any stars at all is because a different employee stepped in to help smooth things over who was much nicer and more communicative. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!. The service was quick as I was the only one there. I asked for the basic $24.99 oil change. After being there for several minutes, the salesman comes in and tells me that they are "out" of my oil. The only way I can get out of there with an oil change would be to purchase their $64.00 oil change. They were apologetic, of course, but didn't offer to do anything extra for the oil change that was 2.5 times more than I expected to pay. My car was in dire need of an oil change and I was on a time crunch--so I purchased the ridiculously expensive oil change but I'll never patronize a Jiffy Lube again. read more

Why do they always have to do that anyway? I feel guilty like I'm not taking care of my car if I don't do what they say! Like some people on here have commented, they do ask you a lot of questions about stuff like air filter changes and etc. Luckily, I maintain my car very well, and all that had been taken care of already. I use Jiffy Lube only every once in a while to get my oil changed. This time that I stopped in stood out because I felt they went above and beyond to take care of me. I had recently had a front head light burn out on me and I had stopped by a parts store to get a new bulb. I was unable to replace the bulb without tools and so it had been sitting in my console fore a while since I don't have have any tools. When I pulled in to get my oil changed I asked them if they could install this new bulb for me and they did and no extra cost. I drove away relieved knowing it had been replaced. :) read more
