I never thought that getting your oil changed could be a pleasant experience. Well that is how this one was. We were greeted promptly as we pulled up to the service line. We were escorted to the door and told that there was coffee and water available for us for free. While we were sitting in the waiting room, we were greeted by Jerrod (spelling?) who was very friendly and funny. We used the check in coupon from yelp and it was very easy to use. I came by recently and found out they do headlight restoration. My headlights looked terrible, very hazy, yellow, really gross and I thought they were beyond repair. However I was thinking to myself "ehh i'm here why not check to see what they can do" they really surprised me and when they were finished looked 10x better. Kinda disappointed at the experience I had here recently. I usually always go here and everything is good but this time I was just turned off. Came in for my transmission. There was a few cars in front of me so I said I would be back when it's done. Got a call about 40 minutes later saying the machine they use for the service wasn't working. Waste of an afternoon. I gave a rather ugly review of the "Lube" in Vallejo. I don't say Jiffy because that's not happening in that store. NASTY, RUDE AND LAZY EMPLOYEES WORK THERE. I decided to give the company one more chance and I went to the one in Benicia. All I can say is what a difference! They were pretty busy but within the 10 sec time frame, they were at my window. I was informed by one of the employees that it's a REQUIREMENT to meet the customer within 10 seconds to greet them and to find out what they need. Within 20 mins they were working on my car. This place is much smaller than Vallejo so why are they faster? The employees are 10 times better. Better service, better customer service, and just an overall better experience. I say if you live in Vallejo DO NOT go to the Vallejo spot. Benicia is your best bet if you want to to get in and get out. If you have an entire day to waste then Vallejo is for you. read more

That said, the attention and service I received was outstanding and I wish I had written down the names of the three men who took care of my car. (4/9/15) My options were well explained, a belt identified to be replaced in the next few months and quote given...and I was informed about their top off service. What's left to say? I got great service, it was fast and executed in a polite and informative manner and yes...I got the discount. Take my cars here for oil changes. Coupons are readily available online. I unknowingly had an expired coupon that was only valid in Southern California, but they still honored it. Very quick turnaround & they walk you to your vehicle to summarize the work they did. Love it. Would recommend to anyone. read more

The employees and the service were fine but $120 for an oil change for a car that takes 4.4 quarts of oil is really expensive. I could have gotten it done at the dealership for that. They charge for 6 quarts of oil even though they only use 4.4 quarts. I wasn't given the extra 1.6 quarts of oil. I'm doing my own oil changes from now on. read more

I had a bad experience at Jiffy Lube in Benicia on Columbus Parkway! I waited nearly two hours to have an oil change/wiper blades. There was only two cars ahead of me. I went in today for a coolant transfer to force out some air in my coolant. Unfortunately due to the design of my radiator there is a 90 degree turn at the surface where the radiator cap is. This made it near impossible for Chris to creat a proper seal and push out my old coolant and pump in new coolant. He tried his best to get as much air as possible out of my radiator. They topped me off and did not charge me and went above and beyond to try and work around the design of my radiator. Quite happy with their service and professionalism. read more

So, I was really happy about their services... Then they broke off 2 lug luts during a normal tire rotation. And on top of that, set all my tires to 26psi about 3 times in a row, and claimed they didn't do anything wrong. So, I just moved to Benicia and was glad to see this Jiffy Lube location. I went in for a oil change this morning and the dude at the door just stared at me without so much as saying a customary hello, or good morning. Instead he just stared at me, almost angry that I was bothering him so early. I said to him, "I need an oil change" and he responds with, "Well, where is your car?" with a tone and a facial expression suggestive of "you are dumb for not knowing to pull your car into the garage." Disgusting... I have never had such poor customer service in all of my life. I walked up to the store to ask a quick question, and was met with a nasty greeting from what looked to be the manager. He was standing outside near the back door when I approached. As I got closer to him, I called out, "excuse me," to get his attention. He turned toward me, and directed a glaring scowl in my direction. He then hurriedly turned his back and slammed the door on me. It made me want to call corporate, but I held my tongue. My son (a college student on a very tight budget) went to jiffy lube today for an oil change on his Prius thinking it would cost less than going to the Toyota dealer. Wrong!! They charged him 98.00 for a simple oil change (I called the dealer and they charge 67 for the same service, and with an appt. it can be done in the same amount of time). Never again will he, or I, ever go to a Jiffy Lube. I dont normally write on yelp (have only done one before because of the great service we got somewhere) but I felt it important to write this because I know people think Jiffy Lube is inexpensive but thats not the case! NOT AWESOME! thanks Jiffy Lube for costing me $150 diagnosis fee + $389 for new tires on my truck.... shouldn't offer a service if your techs do not know what the hell they are doing or hire people that do! Folks if you want to get your oil changed here by all means they have that service down and do a swell job. But whatever you do DO NOT get your tires rotated here. Had tires rotated, no issues before I took the truck in. Immediately after leaving there was a slight shaking of the vehicle I called them when I got home and was told wouldn't be because of tire rotation. (they were WRONG and didn't even offer to look at the truck again) they don't rebalance tires or do alignments there either. tires less than a year old on a vehicle that is driven less than 2,000 miles a year and two tires destroyed because they rotated the tires side to side which caused the rotation while driving to be flipped and ultimately slipped multiple belts within the tires. Just go to an actual tire professional to have tire service completed. That is all I am say and save yourself time and money. read more
