I took an hour to get my oil changed. Good service and people but it just takes too long.

When I finally got the chance to take my car down there, I got the opportunity to meet their new manager Timothy, he is so handsome, charming, nice and sweet to just look at. Been here at least a dozen times in the past few years since moving to Benicia. The wait times can vary depending on the day and the time of the day so it's always a good idea to just give them a quick call before going there. This time I came on a Sunday at noon, only one car ahead of me and was out within 20 mins. Again ymmv depending how busy they are but I'm in and out without much of a hassle. read more

I drove my Sprinter RV over there after they quoted me $120 to do the oil change with filter. One car ahead of me and poof I was in and out in 20 min or less. Great service and some of the nicest crew you can find anywhere. Sure seem very capable to me and I will return there now every time. Greetings, I took my vehicle in for service, and they performed it just as requested. I telephoned in to schedule the service and called at least six other shops, they wanted my business and it was a little further of a drive but the service manager was really help-full. When i arrived was greeted really fast and everyone was working hard. The work was performed. They told me if i had any problem to call or come by and would be given top priority service. I had an issue thought i had to call corporate, called filed complaint, called district manager talked and seemed to want to help. I got really frustrated and called the Shop manager to my surprise he telephoned me the same day and all out to make us happy. What im trying to say is this is a shop that takes care of the little things and the big things. I'm very satisfied with all them. And want to say Thanks a-lot, I love Jiffy Lube. I just waited 2 hours for an oil change. Which I could understand if there were 3 or 4 cars in front of me. But there was one car. I was here yesterday getting another oil change and waited an hour and a half when it was the only car on a different day, at a different time. I'm paying $80 for an oil change at Jiffy Lube for the convenience, not because you guys are pros or do that great of a job. If I have to wait for 2 hours, I might as well change my own oil. I've been a customer at this particular Jiffy Lube since I started driving ten years ago. I don't know if this shop is under different management now or you fired all of your employees who knew what they were doing but I don't have time to spend my whole day waiting for you to figure out how to change a car's oil. read more

I have been a regular customer at this Jiffy Lube for over 7 years. Today I had my daughter bring her car in for a routine oil change. I had her tell the tech to do exactly the same oil change as last time. I was in my car waiting for her. She is 22 and I wanted her to learn how to take her car in for an oil change on her own. Last time it cost around $50. She gets in my car with an estimate for $122!! What??! I go back in and talk to the manager and ask him why she is being charged almost 3X as much as last time?! I explained I was teaching her how to get her oil changed and that I feel like they are taking advantage of her naivete'. I further explain that we have 4 cars that we bring here for regular oil changes, and we are good, regular customers. He has some BS about foreign cars needing special engine oil..blah, blah, blah. I asked him what oil they used last time. He shows me the screen..regular standard oil change, $43 bucks. Why then when she asks for the exact SAME service as last time, does he think it is okay to bump it up to $122...? BECAUSE I was not with her, and she wouldn't know the difference, that's why!! From my research I found an independent lab says oil is oil..using synthetic oil doesnt guarantee any longer engine life anymore than me thinking eating organic is going to guarantee that I will live to be 90 if I do. My car, my choice. THEY SHOULD DO WHAT WAS ASKED..use the SAME oil as last time! He was visually uncomfortable when I brought this all up, but still, no apology, no customer service..when I told him I don't think we will be back to have our other cars serviced, his response was 'I apologize that you feel that way.' SERIOUSLY??!! Wow. That is not an apology dude. I do NOT recommend that anyone being their car here unless you want to be overcharged and upsold on ever possible item. I've been here twice. The first time, they did a simple oil change and changed the air filter for the cabin. Done deal, quick and easy. That experience led me to believe that this was a decent place if I needed an oil change on the fly. I have ALWAYS serviced my car at Honda regardless of how small the job was. Brought my car in on Sunday morning to get the oil changed. I upped to synthetic since that's what I technically should be putting in the car. The synthetic oil change ran me $80.00, I have a coupon for Honda of El Cerrito for $40.00 for full synthetic oil /facepalm. I decided to pay it anyway because I needed it done asap as I was over my mileage by a significant amount. They told me that my tires were wearing uneven and that I should have them rotated. So I agreed...and for another $20.00 they rotated them for me. I was in and out in about 20 minutes - not too bad. They walked me through at the end, and it was nice that they did a quick vacuum because truth be told...it was horrific on the inside. I started driving down Columbus Parkway and hit 35mph...and there was a sort of humming and it was LOUD. I hit the freeway and the car started shaking. When I breaked at about 50mph, the steering wheel was shaking really badly. I brought it back and told them what was happening - they told me it had something to do with the balancing of the tires...so they inspected it and then told me that they would "try and get the manager to approve a refund", which was considerate. I told them to fix what was wrong and we'll call it even. In the end, they basically said that they test drove it and it was still making the sound and there was nothing they could do about it. Then asked me where I bought the tires and then told me to go back there to have it balanced. It's my usual train of thought that...if you break it, you fix it. My car didn't sound like that before...so why couldn't they do anything about it? read more

Bait & Switch with an impulse Incentive for cash only My wife and I came in to have the complete vital fluids replaced and filters changed with new wipers replaced. We were quoted 347.00 in writing with all the services that would be provided, of which we were ok with. When i left to go to Lowes and my wife stayed to have here nails done at a shop in the same center, Matt approached Heather(my wife) and offered a cash discount of $250.00 $97.00 less! So she went to the ATM withdrew the funds and attempted to pay the cashier. The gentlman exclaimed that she was dealing with Matt and he would take care of her. I arrived a short time later, truck's services finished and the receipt indicated Quick Guest and a figure indicating just over 120.00 My wife feeling somewhat uneasy, asked me to handle the receipt correction. I went back to "Matt" who went into the computer, purged the "Quick guest receipt with no indication of who paid" and drafted another one with my information. When asked if they changed the filters and the transmission filter as well he indicated they changed the fluid but did not change the filter or seal! After reviewing the receipt it only reflected 120.00 not the 250.00 paid. When asked for it to reflect the true price paid( in order to be reimbursed from employer it must indicate true amount and purchaser information) Matt then took the receipt and proceeded to approach employees and collect cash from them, then came back to the counter without opening a drawer or register and refunded the balance of the un-indicated amount...exclaiming "I was just trying to save you some money." We left with a real sense of awe and fear, not only for ourselves, but also for the owner who we heard at the coffee shop was and elderly man. Leaving to have a bit to eat and preparing to pick our daughters up from the airport whom we had not seen since we left Pennsylvania having stayed behind for a month for a Church Leadership Camp and to say goodbye to there friends a little longer. They had left at 12pm EST We picked them up from San Jose International and broke down at the off ramp of Exit 3A Almeden Expressway and 87, were we remained until 12:30am with our girls. I checked the coolant and it was not filled or topped off as indicatedin the quote, could not tell if the oil or transmision fluid had been changed. We called a cab company 1 mile from the site 3 hours later no call, no show, we called Uber and they were there in less than 5 minutes! Our truck is still on the highway, we have called Good Sam Roadside assistance and they will tow the truck to Capital Mall Ford Service center where they will be able to tell us with certanty what has been changed and not. We had all the fluids and filters changed prior to crossing the country from Willow Street, PA We are now stranded with no way to move our 5th Wheel as we are vacationing at an RV Resort. We wish to speak with the owner directly,and to have the services performed again witnessed by the owner and ourselves. Or pay Ford directly for the selfsame services that were quoted in the estimate. And that if found to be a direct result of the service provided by Jiffy Lube they cover those expenditures. Provide proof that the employees involved have been terminated with predudice and a copy of the surveliance video from camera over the cashies desk be provided to local police department for prosecutuon. read more

5 stars for service! I came to this place because I was turned down by Oil Changers in Vallejo last Sunday May 7th (the reason was because the guy cannot open my van's hood. He tried twice and then gave up) . I looked up YELP and I saw Jiffy Lube in Benicia. I should thank Oil changers for turning me down. Now I discovered this place and Mark was so courteous and Donald was so helpful with opening the hood. I came 45 minutes before they closed and still took me in; and they also cleaned the windshields, Mark explained the job that was done and showed me the color of the oil as proof. I have had what I considered to be fairly good service here for the last year or so but of late was disappointed to discover that they did not check or adjust my tire pressure as they reported on the paperwork. I had the service done and noticed an hour later that my rt front tire looked a little low. I brought it back to proper pressure at home (I have a compressor) and it has held true since. My concern is that they may be cutting corners elsewhere that I am not aware of. read more

It is a drive thru style oil change, so when you pull up they take your keys and show you to the waiting room. I got my oil change yesterday and it was the longest I've ever waited (about 40 minutes). I was going to give them 4 stars for the wait but every other time they've done my oil I've been in and out within 20 minutes. I suggest that you go during non peak hours or right when they open. This place receives 5 stars for their customer service. They always top off all the fluids in your car, provide a complimentary tire pressure check, vacuum your car floors, and clean your windows as well. That's way more than you can ask for! They will first give you an estimate for the job, and in my experience the estimate has always been exact.
