I haven't tried this business yet for any auto work, but my experience has been of getting quotes for auto maintenance to be performed. Calling the business, Dominic, the manager, was very prompt in answering phone and transparent in what and why he recommends certain services to performed at various mileage intervals. He was very pleasant to speak to and respectful. The quote he gave me for maintenance items I requested was lower than what I had received from other auto repair shops in the area. He had given me a buy 2 get 1 service free deal, which really brought down the price. The reason why I didn't end up moving forward with them is because when I visited them in person, they seemed short-staffed. I waited a long time before speaking with Dominic as he was juggling several tasks, and there wasn't another service advisor available. When you experience cold weather, it is a sure fire indication that the air in your tires will decrease. This is what happened to me yesterday. Fortunately, the Midas shop is directly in front of LA Fitness, which is where I was working out. Yesterday in Austin it was below freezing, which likely why my tires decreased. For Texans, this is when we stay home and cuddle up. I was so happy that Midas was so close and extremely convenient to the gym. One gentleman checked me in and the other one inflated my tires to the required levels. It was quick, fast and done extremely well. The cost was $0 to me. Both gentlemen were extremely cordial and helpful. Without a doubt, if I need to have some car work done, I would absolutely consider Midas for the job. read more

I was talking to Dominic about how I've been told by Firestone and Good year that I needed a full axel replacement, both inner and outer tire rods replaced. While doing the oil change he took a look at my car and let me know that I just need a good alignment but everything else is good. Avoid this location. I brought my vehicle to Midas in Cedar Park on June 17, 2026, for what should have been a routine oil change. When I arrived around 11:00 a.m., there were no vehicles in any of the service bays and no customers waiting in the lobby. Looking back, that should have been a warning sign. After leaving my vehicle and running errands, I received a call approximately 38 minutes later from an employee named Francisco. He informed me that they could not remove the oil filter cap and that attempting to do so could cause it to crack or break. He asked for my permission to proceed. I asked what the replacement cap would cost. Francisco told me it would be $149. When I declined the repair and said I would come pick up my vehicle, he informed me that the oil had already been drained. I found that concerning, as I had not been contacted before that point regarding any issue. When I questioned the cost, I was told the charge included labor in addition to the replacement cap. I was also told a discount could be offered. At that point, I told him I would discuss the matter in person when I arrived to pick up the vehicle. Two hours later, I returned to find my vehicle still on the lift with the oil change incomplete. There were still no vehicles in the bays and no customers in the lobby. The situation was explained to me again, and I acknowledged and understood what I was being told. However, I expressed my dissatisfaction with how the situation had been handled and requested that the vehicle be repaired. What followed was the most troubling part of the experience. During the heated discussion, I asked for the manager's name and contact information. The conversation became increasingly unprofessional. Francisco became argumentative, insulted my intelligence, and repeatedly suggested that because I was not a mechanic, I could not understand the situation. When I challenged those assumptions, the comments continued. The interaction escalated further when profanity was exchanged. Francisco then told me he did not want me to return and ordered me to leave the business. No customer should be spoken to in that manner under any circumstances. Before I left, I pointed out the cameras to which Francisco also referenced the store's cameras in other areas of the lobby. I welcomed the opportunity for management to review the interaction to which he confirmed they were. I welcomed that, as I believe the footage will accurately reflect the events that took place. I understand mechanical problems can occur. I'm also not stupid. Unexpected repairs can occur. What should never occur is a customer being insulted, cursed at, dismissed, and told to leave after raising legitimate concerns about a service issue and an unexpected charge. In the end, I was charged for a repair I did not believe was necessary, and the customer service was among the worst I have EVER experienced. I will be filing formal complaints with Midas Corporate and the Better Business Bureau and will allow them to review the matter further. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a synthetic blend oil change at Midas in Cedar Park TX. When I got there they told me they no longer accept Groupon but would honor it this time. I was then told they wouldn't honor it because they don't carry synthetic blend oil. If you no longer accept Groupon then don't advertise on it. Horrible!!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would!! They scratched my driver side door of my car and are denying it. It wasn't scratched when I brought it in, for an oil change, and now it has a massive scratch on the door. So much for getting a free oil change with the promotion coupon they sent in the mail. A paint job isn't cheap. I will be escalating this issue with authorities!! I talked with the district manager, and I was told i would be contacted by last Thursday about what happened. How do I give zero stars?! I scheduled my appointment online using a coupon that was clearly advertised and fully confirmed during booking. Because the coupon details were already attached to my appointment, I had no reason to believe I needed to mention it again at the start of my visit. I was the only customer vehicle there, yet more than four employees were working on staff vehicles. Despite this, I waited over an hour for a basic oil change. At checkout, I was suddenly asked to show the coupon and then informed I was being charged an additional $19 plus tax for an extra quart of oil--something I never approved or was asked about. I came in specifically because of the coupon. I also did not receive the tire rotation that was included, and no one asked for my consent before adding the extra charge. When I questioned whether the additional quart was necessary or if my oil level was low, I was told it did not appear to be low, as the technician did not mention or note any issue. What was advertised as a $39 oil change ended up costing me nearly $70, plus over an hour of my time sitting through loud music and unpleasant TV. As a single mom of three young children with no additional support, I don't have $30 to waste on unexpected and unauthorized charges. Whatever you do, don't go here. Worst Experience ever , my wife initially came in for JUST an oil change with her groupon voucher and left paying $400 plus which she couldn't afford and went into the negatives , Some dude named walter apparently "misheard" her . She had said that she didn't want it done until friday even when she clearly stated it twice and came in with her groupon code like what in the right mind thinks that she wants to spend more when someone is coming in with a discount already . WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I made an appointment at 10:30Am and my car wasn't ready after 4 hours. The manager told me that "they were waiting for the machine to be done" and the mechanic was in lunch time. Many people came after me and my car still wasn't check. Walker informed me that some additional maintenance was needed on my car, i asked for the breakdown in which i ended up declining the work as i could not afford it. Walker then informs me my car is ready, and tells me my total is almost $500....... i chuckled because how in the hell did my $45 oil change go to almost $500? he then told me he ended up doing the work on my vehicle that i DID NOT APPROVE OF. I was not offered any discounts or compensation, and had to scrounge up money from family.
