I have not had good experiences here and my last time took the cake. So I bring my 2009 Jetta in for an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. Easy stuff. So the oil change is completed, they move on to the tire rotation. Point them to the wheel lock in the trunk, 10 minutes later one of the service man comes to me and shows me a cross threaded lug bolt from my car. He explains that he found it this way and that it was barely on. Looking at the lug nut, the first 2-3 threads are just completely mangled. I was a bit caught off guard and just said OK. He explained that because I am now missing a lug bolt on a wheel he would have to fail my inspection. So after I went home and thought about how I am going to fix this, I soon realized there was no way that he found the lug bolt like that. As I tried to put the lug bolt on myself, it went no more than 1/4 turn. So to tell me he "found" it like that and that it had stayed like that for the past 6+ months is a flat out lie. So I had to go and order new lug bolts and then ordered a thread tap to re-thread my hub. After all that I was able to get a new lug bolt on and pass inspection. It's obvious JS hires anyone. Luckily I was able to fix it for $15 and a bit of my time. But what if I was someone less technical? I would have had to take it some where and pay $100/hr for a repair. Moral of the story, even if you think "there is no way they can screw up the most basic car tasks" let me tell you, they can find a way. read more

Came here a few weeks ago to get my oil changed. While I wasn't really due for an oil change (only had about 1,000 miles on my car), I wanted to change out my break-in oil. The staff didn't ask me why I wanted to change it, which is good. They also used an oil filter I provided for them. Everything was done... well, in a jiffy. Took about 10 minutes for them to do the whole "signature oil change", which includes checking all fluids and topping off when necessary, cleaning the windows, and vacuuming the floormats. I also had a $10 coupon so it was only about $25. Will definitely keep coming here for my oil changes. read more

Good luck getting a state inspection because they don't currently have a certified inspector on staff. Never mind the fact they have a giant sign up that they do offer them. You can't offer something you don't have staff certified to do. Drove myself to Firestone and they squeezed me in. read more

Started using this location a few years ago after bouncing around other Jiffy Lubes and their competitors after I quit changing my own oil. I got very tired of watching how the normal employees treated my car. Going over everything under the hood after I got home it was common to find things not right - loose filler caps, air cleaner left unfastened, broken plastic clips, etc. The constant "you're going to regret not changing your 'whatever' when your car dies 100 miles from nowhere' sales pitches. I tried this location on Parmer Lane and surprise! They did a good job, no sales pressure, good attitudes, didn't leave things undone or broken. This lasted until late last year (2014). I didn't recognize anyone in the shop. They forgot to put a mileage sticker on the windshield and the Signature Service was missing a few items - like carpet vacuum and window cleaning. It wasn't very dirty to begin with and I didn't really notice until a couple of days later when I found debris on the back floorboards and window smears that were evidence of being in a big hurry. No telling if they actually checked everything under the hood since this car generally didn't ooze fluids. Went back in January and once again didn't really recognize anyone. Again no windshield sticker even though I mentioned it to the guy checking me in. Didn't notice until I adjusted my visor a few days later. Then I noticed a big spot under the car. Turned out to be fluid leaking out of my power steering fluid reservoir. It was filled with something other than the Dextron ATF molded right into the filler cap. Looked like a clear light brown oil and it had a distinct trail from underneath the reservoir down a sloping inner fender wall and onto my driveway. I had seen this before several years aback when a car dealer had prepped a used car I bought and their 'mechanic' had put power steering fluid in it when it too called for Dextron ATF. Both are hydralic fluids but have different properties. The power steering fluid slowly seeps past the bearing seals and gaskets. It can take a few weeks depending on how much you drive. Your power steering system becomes a dribble glass. I called up the Jiffy Lube and talked to the youthful store manager. My confidence fell when the first words out of his mouth after I described what happened were," I wasn't the manager then but let me see what I can do". Starting off with 'it's not my fault' is probably not the best technique. He then looked up my car history and mentioned something about Jiffy Lube using an alternate fluid in the power steering but didn't seem to know much about it. He pointed me to their local management office to work out some warranty deal. In the end they pretty much told me I was lying about them being the only business to touch my car and they said no warranty coverage. All I wanted was for them to drain the stuff they put in the power steering and replace it with Dextron ATF. Buh bye JF... Meanwhile I had been sucking out the fluid they had put in and replacing it with the Dextron ATF called for by the manufacturer. After about three transfusions the leaks "magically" stopped. If I had to give anyone advice about oil changes it would be to not go to a place that most employees would get carded at a nightclub - especially when the manager is included in that group. read more

I was up in Cedar Park with a coupon for a simple oil change that was about to expire. I spotted their place and thought I'd whip in and see how long it would take them to fit me in. I was thrilled when they said there wasn't a wait and to pull on in. I waited for the "oh, youve got a discount coupon" additude that ive seen elsewhere but it didnt come. Tis truly a five star experience for this man! The manager, Jason, is very knowledgeable and friendly. He suggests items that may need replacement according to the mileage and year of my car, but doesn't push it. There is a LOT of things the crew needs to do in a very short period of time, and they get it done right every time. One thing I truly enjoy is the top off policy...in between oil changes, you just drive in and they'll top off oil and most vital fluids happily, for free! Went on a Saturday morning for a quick oil change. The sign on their door said they open at 8:00. The manager didn't show up until 8:40. About 10 cars came and went, tired of waiting. Even a staff member without a key was waiting in the parking lot in his car. He was very apologetic, but when the manager finally arrived, no apologies whatsoever. Horrible customer service. I brought my Expedition in for oil change and tire rotation. I shared that I had low tire pressure in the front right tire prior to starting the work. Paid the total, then reviewed the invoice which had the previous customer information instead of mine, listed that the interior was vacuumed and windows washed, which didn't happen. Tire pressure gauge reflected tires were rotated front to back, but low pressure tire was still low. Mechanic said "I wasn't the one that would've done that, but I'm sure they added air to each tire. You should return it to Ford." Will not return to this location again. read more

Very disappointed in Jiffy Lube. Their sign says they honor competitor coupons so I brought in a coupon from a competitor in the area. This was for a $25 oil and filter change. After my car is over the pit, the attendant told me they can't honor the coupon. He then tells me the oil change will be $80, but I can download a discount coupon from their website and save $15. I went with it because I needed to get it done and the car was already over the pot, but never again. This was a classic bait and switch. read more
