Very disappointed in Jiffy Lube. Their sign says they honor competitor coupons so I brought in a coupon from a competitor in the area. This was for a $25 oil and filter change. After my car is over the pit, the attendant told me they can't honor the coupon. He then tells me the oil change will be $80, but I can download a discount coupon from their website and save $15. I went with it because I needed to get it done and the car was already over the pot, but never again. This was a classic bait and switch. read more

Please stop visiting this place or at least check your vehicle when you receive it to make sure that they did everything you paid for. Jiffy Lube oil changes are more expensive compared to other places because they include other services like fluid top-ups, part inspections, window cleaning and floor vacuuming as part of their oil change package. I went in for a regular oil change today afternoon(4/16), they took about 30 mins. At checkout ($41.99) the tech went over the service checklist with me and explained all of the stuff that had been done on my car. I was told that the oil and filter had been changed and that the following were checked and found OK - wiper blades, radiator overflow level, tire pressure, power steering fluid level, cabin air filter, air filter, serpentine belt, lights, transmission fluid, brake fluid. Windshield wiper fluid was found low and fluid added, floors were vacuumed and exterior of windows cleaned. Quite an exhaustive list, but guess what..nothing other than the oil change was actually done..!! I immediately felt suspicious as I had been working on my car earlier this week and knew that the coolant was totally low, power steering fluid was low, cabin air filter was dirty, wiper blades were worn(I had 2 new replacement wiper blades and cabin air filter that I had just picked up prior to the oil change that were lying on the rear seat). I popped the boot as soon as I got my car back and checked and found that none of the fluids had been topped up. For example, the radiator fluid overflow tank was literally EMPTY(checklist said-Checked and found FULL) The tech saw me checking the car, rushed out and asked me if anything was wrong and I told him about what I was seeing. Without even apologizing or giving any explanation, he told me that if I brought the car back in he could top-off the radiator fluid. I was pissed off but wanted to get what I paid for, so took the car back in (they had me drive it onto the ramp myself!) and had them top off the coolant, wiper fluid and power steering fluid. Drove the car off the ramp(had to do it myself again!) and as I was driving away from the shop, noticed that the floors had not been vacuumed and windows had not been cleaned..so much for "Signature" service. I don't think they addressed ANY of the items on the list the first time. I just hope that they actually changed out the engine oil and not just the oil change sticker on my windshield. To be on the safer side, I guess I will just have another oil change done this week but certainly not at this Jiffy Lube. Not now, Not EVER..!! Update- 4/27 I got a call from the store manager(Jerry) y'day regarding my review. He was very courteous and understanding. He apologized for whatever happened and offered to redo the service or refund my money back. He also offered to set up an oil change at another Jiffy Lube in case I didn't want to use this particular location. So, while I may still not go back, I appreciate the efforts of the store manager to address my concerns. read more

Took my car for an oil change. No problem. Runs my debit card for someone else's car (significantly more expensive than mine). I catch their mistake. No problem, he runs the debit card for my (correct) car. Then proceeds to tell me the credit for their mistake will credit with my bank very soon. After 4 days it is still not in the bank. Checking on it everyday, they say not to worry, it has a tracker on it so I will eventually get paid. No big deal. Really!! Poor customer service. I called ahead and was told there is no wait for emissions test. Great, I'm literally right across the street. Pull up 2 min later...1.5 hour wait. I absolutely do not buy that 1.5 hours worth of business showed up coincidentally in the two minutes between when I called and when I arrived. Got a perfectly good car for oil change at jiffy lube. The attendant calls me up to the shop with my air and in-cabin filters laid out, saying that I need to replace those and tries to upsell from conventional to synthetic oil change. I ask him to just do the regular oil change, and he looks away disappointed. When I am ready to leave, I see my check engine light and a/c is not working. I ask him, what happened, since it was working fine when I brought the car to the shop. He says, he doesn't know, and I need to take the car to a repair shop. Also, I see that he has done a really bad job of putting the in-cabin air filter and has not even properly latched the dashboard back after putting the filter in. After taking to a repair shop, the technician told me O2 sensor wires were cut and the compressor had gone bad. My car got damaged in their care, and they don't want to take any responsibility for the same. Please see the pre-inspection sheet showing their was no damage when I came in, my receipt, and the video conversation I had afterwards. Tried calling Jiffy Lube but their voice mailbox is full. When I came into their shop my oil pan and plug were working fine, and when I left there was a leak. It was explained to me that the last servicing I had done (at a dealership) damaged the plug, which I find unlikely since there was no leak before, and if it was found to be damaged upon them starting work, then I should have been told before the full oil change was done and the leak was suddenly apparent. I started going to this location when I first moved to Austin, almost 5 years ago. Even though I've moved a little farther away, I keep coming back to THIS store because of the staff. Jason has been there probably most of the time I've been going in and is very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. I really tried to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. I came in one day last week with one car in the bay and asked to get my inspection done. The individual told me the inspector just left for a lunch break. I completely understand that I'll come back later. Two days later I come back and speak to the same guy, in the inspectors bay, inspecting a car! I thought to myself maybe he was eating lunch in the back the other day...no harm. He told me it would be 15 mins. Let me remind you no other cars where there. 10 mins later 2 truck come in. 45 mins later I ask how long it will be. The guys response to me was " I'll get to it in 5 mins and will be ready in about 20 when I start". Needless to say I told him to give me my keys and I'm leaving. Phoned in for an oil change price for specific year/make/model minivan and was quoted an exact price. My wife went in on her errands, and when she picked up the car they charged extra because the van needs more volume of oil than standard, even though I gave the make/model for a price quote, and they charged to top off antifreeze without calling to authorize the service/charge. On protest at the counter, my wife said they just shrugged at her. Extra 20+% in charges over the phone quote. Ripped off!!! Never here again!! read more

Jiffy Lube has been doing my oil changes as long as I've had my car. I can always trust they do a good job and the mechanics are always so courteous. They never try to over sell me, but when they do recommend something I trust it is the right thing. My car now has over 100 thousand miles and has never had a major issue. It's not even the fact that they slammed my truck into a red pole (2500.00). It's that they refused to fix it. I did get it fixed after I called corporate a month later. Have not been in over a year, really really hope it has gotten better. Went and was told they could not change the oil as the oil pan plug was old and stuck. Since they changed the oil the last time I questioned the condition of the plug. Was told that for approx $900 a neighborhood auto repair shop (recommended by them by name) could fix it. Took the truck to my own mechanic's shop-he told me the plug was replaced by power tools-not recommended-and for $42 he fixed it. When I contacted the Jiffy Lube by letter TWICE all I got was a hang up on my answering machine. Will not be back and am spreading the "good word" -get your oil changed elsewhere. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube in Cedar Park (W Parmer Lane) this afternoon in hopes of getting replacement air filters and wiper blades. I was informed that the air filters were not in stock at this time (understandable). The worker who was assisting me asked if I still wanted the replacement wiper blades and I said yes... He did not give me a quote on the service, so when my vehicle was ready, I was shocked at the price of the blades... $54!!! I was JUST at my dealership last week and they were going to replace the blades for $28, but I decided to wait. Had I known that it would cost me as much as it would to get an oil change for wiper blades, I would have said NO. Like I said, I was never given a quote. I paid for the service even though I was livid. I will never go back to Jiffy Lube. I should also mention that when I got back in my car, the steering wheel, stick shift, door handle, and carpet were covered in filth. read more

I'm fairly new to town but have been a customer of Jiffy Lube for years. During our move, I had spotted the JL off of Parmer and 1431 many times and knew I would give them an opportunity when the time was needed. I own a 2007 FJ Cruiser and it is approaching 150,000. I love it and it apparently loves me as I have taken great care of it and it still runs new. The team at Parmer was very impressive to me. They keep a very clean shop, waiting room and restroom facilities. I requested a lot of services (radiator flush, front and rear differentials, and standard oil service). They worked as a team and took what would of been a 2-3 hour job at most places and did it in 1.5 hours and did it without hurrying or missing anything. The entire team explained to me what they did before I left and I felt welcomed. Great service, great staff. I had a $5 coupon and Jason have me $10 off due to a better coupon coming out soon and the amount of work I had performed. Check out the Jiffy Lube off Parmer and 1431, you won't be disappointed. Went early in the morning to do a oil change after driving halfway across the country. They did it very fast and efficiently. Only problem I've had was the "complimentary" window wipe that came with the service, it sucked ... looked like someone used a wiper that's been dipped in oil. Too bad I didn't notice til halfway home, by then I didn't even bother. read more

I took my car here on 12/10/16 to get it inspected, and they told me that my car will fail due to my windshield wiper blades being slightly torn at the very bottom of the wiper blade. I asked them to show me where in their manual that it states that a torn windshield wiper blade constitutes a failed inspection. The tech brought up the screen, but all it showed was headlights, windshield wipers, horn....etc. However it did not stipulate that that torn blade insert stipulate failure. I spoke with the manager and told that based on that list, that it seems like they are ensuring each or the components are operational. Long story, short I ended up paying $30 for some wiper inserts. I subsequently went to the Lexus dealership (the same day) to talk to them about the inspection and wiper blades, and found out that the wiper blades at the dealership are cheaper than what Jiffy Lube charged me (go figure)! I could go on and on, but do not want to belabor the point. My suggestion is to not use this place for vehicle inspections and possibly for any other service as they have a problem with the facts. read more

I have been using Jiffy Lube for many years, ever since my neighborhood auto repair shop closed. I've used several different locations in the Georgetown, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Austin TX areas. My very favorite is this location on Parmer in Cedar Park. This location is friendlier and cleaner than many of the other locations. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They understand if I have not got enough money to get a particular service at the moment, and without being pushy about it, they help me find a way to get it done. I am willing to travel 25 miles out of my way, just to have them service my car! Good job, guys... I recommend you to everyone I know! read more

I went to get an oil change on Monday, Was told it started at $39.99 and could go up. I have been getting regular oil in my vehicle since I've had it, other places as well as another Jiffy Lube have never told me i needed to switch to different Oil. (Such as Synthetic) i felt like i was conned into getting synthetic, I told him did it really matter since I have been using regular oil and he kind of dodged the question. I finally gave in because he was so persistent and the total was $62 dollars for a Jeep Wrangler!! Will Not be going back to this place. read more

BUYER BEWARE: This place ripped me off. And, now after reading some of the reviews I know I am not alone. I went in for an oil change and they told me my air filter was really dirty (showed me the air filter) and I agreed and paid the ridiculous amount of money in labor and parts to get it replaced. Also told me they topped off my fluids. A few weeks later my compressor broke and I brought my car to the dealership to get fixed and they said "we had to replace your air filter as it was very dirty and your fluids were empty. I was shocked because Jiffy Lube said they replaced it and topped off my fluids. What a scam this place is. My family will never bring their cars there again. I bet they didn't even change my oil. And I hope this review encourages you to bring your car elsewhere. Sketchy business practices. Don't waste your time here. read more

I made the mistake of going early in the morning on a Tuesday. Apparently, antifreeze is no longer considered a "vital fluid. In their inspection, they stated that it was full and did not need to be refilled. This surprised me, because I have an old car (2001). I had him open the overflow tank and check it with me standing there. He then had to admit that it was low. This proved he had not actually checked it before signing off on it as full. He then told me that it would cost at least another $4 to fill it up. This was after he had already charged me and told me that I was ready to go. He also stated that they stopped topping off antifreeze for free four months ago. That is patently untrue. I went there two months ago and all fluids were topped off without a problem. I had already topped off the antifreeze before the last visit, so they just topped off the transmission fluid last time. They were quite clear that they would not have trouble topping off any fluids for free. The difference between how I was treated last time and this time was like the difference between night and day. I actually regret recommending this jiffy lube in the intervening months. Never visit this location if the manager isn't there. read more

I get off work and decide it is time to get an oil change and the jiffy lube on Parmer lane is closest to my work so out of convenience that is where I stop. As I pull in I notice they are running a special on oil changes because of the two guys with the sign...I paid full price(Complaint #1). From the very start they took forever to come out to my car(complaint #2). The first employee was nice enough. He asks me my mileage and I tell him. I told them I don't need my windows done or my car vacuumed, I only want a regular oil change, and to do the exact same thing they did the last time I was there. While this exchange is happening I'm noticing one of the guys out by the road walking over(who I find out later is the manager). He tells me I can leave the car parked and come up for a consultation. After sitting for a brief moment the manager calls me out and we start reviewing my car. Someone had already taken my cabin filter out which with an oil change only request should not have been done(complaint #3). I refuse the air filter because I can buy a really good filter and put it in myself for a fraction of the price. The manager tells me that Hyundai recommends I use a full synthetic oil...no one had mentioned this last time I got my oil changed here and I knew I was running a conventional. I drive an accent. Full synthetic in an accent?! Even if it is a newer model. Really?! I refuse the full synthetic because I know it is more expensive and once you start using it you must keep using it. Upon doing more research and speaking with my dealership where I bought my car brand new last year I find out that Hyundai put a conventional oil in it and they do not require a synthetic oil contrary to what I was told. So either one of two things happened: the manager is lying and trying to rip people off or he is totally inept and can't read the screen right(complaint #4). Either possibility should never happen with a manager. He then tells me that he will not be able to offer me warranty if I don't get the synthetic. At this point I'm thinking I am sticking with what I have so I refuse. The service was very fast and they have me out in no time...kudos for that. However, when I park at home I start to look for my cigarettes and guess what...they have magically disappeared from my cup holder! The only possibility is theft(complaint #5)! I smoked one on the way to the store and remember leaving them in the cup holder. I am glad I decided to put my laptop and work bag in the trunk. And to just really top everything off I have a big black smudge where they opened my glove box to get my cabin filter(complaint # 6). Needless to say I am extremely upset and disappointed. I wish I had fought Austin traffic to go to a different place. I do not recommend!!!! read more
