    My 2012 Toyota Tundra (AKA "The Beast), needed some service done. Now I normally take care of all…read moremy maintenance such as brakes, tune up's etc. I have a trust issues with other mechanics and dealerships. But this was fluid service, (the nasty stuff) trans fluid flush and fill, brake fluid flush, rear differential drain and fill, + my AC wasn't cooling as well. I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated

    I was needing an oil change for my vehicle, so I called around to get quotes from local auto shops…read morein my area. Luis at Tech One Automotive was very professional when he answered the phone and patiently addressed all of my questions, putting me at ease. At the time I called, they were running a synthetic oil change promotion, so I decided to give them a try. It was already late in the day, but Luis said that if I could get in before 4:30pm, he could squeeze me in. So I got there at about 4:20pm and Luis quickly got me onboarded and brought my vehicle around to the back. He explained that they had just opened this new location in April to expand into the Cedar Park area. While I was waiting, Luis shared with me how to connect to the fast, free WiFi, and offered free snacks, water, and coffee. They have a comfortable lobby with chairs and a couch if you wanted to wait at the shop. They also offer free loaner cars and will even call an Uber to get you home safely -- this is truly impressive customer service. With the oil change, they gave me a free vehicle inspection and shared with me recommended services. Not once did I feel they were being shady, dishonest, nor pushy, and I appreciate the authenticity in their approach. Overall, I felt my experience was superb and I received very good value during my visit.

Calling the business, Dominic, the manager, was very prompt in answering phone and transparent in what and why he recommends certain services to performed at various mileage intervals. He was very pleasant to speak to and respectful. The quote he gave me for maintenance items I requested was lower than what I had received from other auto repair shops in the area. He had given me a buy 2 get 1 service free deal, which really brought down the price. The reason why I didn't end up moving forward with them is because when I visited them in person, they seemed short-staffed. I waited a long time before speaking with Dominic as he was juggling several tasks, and there wasn't another service advisor available. Since I was on a time-crunch, I didn't think the timing would have worked out. I think I'd be open to trying them out in the future though.

Fortunately, the Midas shop is directly in front of LA Fitness, which is where I was working out. Yesterday in Austin it was below freezing, which likely why my tires decreased. For Texans, this is when we stay home and cuddle up. I was so happy that Midas was so close and extremely convenient to the gym. One gentleman checked me in and the other one inflated my tires to the required levels. It was quick, fast and done extremely well. The cost was $0 to me. Both gentlemen were extremely cordial and helpful. Without a doubt, if I need to have some car work done, I would absolutely consider Midas for the job.

    This team has offered the BEST auto service I've ever experienced thus far…read more My car decided to not start while I was out running errands and I was really nervous about having to spend so much money on towing AND diagnostic testing so soon after just making another large purchase on a repair I needed. I spoke with Alan C. on multiple occasions before finally deciding to just get a quote for towing and everything to going forward with it to get it over with (I didn't really have a choice at this point). Alan was patient and so informative about pricing, timing, and everything. Once he found out how close I was to the business (literally a 2-minute walk), he and another team member, Josh, drove out themselves and jumped my car so I could drive it around the corner to the shop for further inspection. I saved sooo much time and money because of this courtesy, they did not have to do this, yet they did. I was able to get in and out in under 30 minutes with a new battery, a cheaper inspection to make sure my battery wouldn't give out again, and some further recommendations for my next service so that the quoted prices would be saved in their system.     Do you ever wonder if an auto service place is reccommending repairs that arent needed ? I do…read more Well, this morning, I took my wife's car here to have them check the brakes because of a squeeking sound coming from one wheel. The car has 37000 miles on the odometer. After a not too long wait, the service sales person came over and gave me an estimate on replacing brakes and rotors. He then stated that a squeeking sound isn't always a sign of needed repair and that I could get another 40 K miles out of my existing brakes. I guarantee you that there are several companies in my area that would hav told me that I needed to do the job right now. I have been to this Sun Auto several times and will continue to bring my business here.
