A while back I had came here and they told me I needed a few things done to my car. I went ahead and let them take care of everything because I was there getting an oil change already. I ended up being way over charged and turns out they never did any work at all. My car ended up not turning on at all and making ugly noises when I tried to about two weeks later. Turns out the spark plugs they said they replaced never were and my oil was never touched let alone changed. I ended up having to get my engine rebuilt for over $3000. I'm not sure if this is due to them not doing what they said they would be doing but it might had played a factor. read more

I went here for the first time today. Johnny was the one who attended to me. Right from the start he was very attentive and professional. . He asked me if I had a car Manuel so he could show me what some of the sensor codes meant. He even highlighted them in my book. He explained to me the different types of oil for my car. My bff gave me the car when I totaled mine a month ago. He updated my info into the computer. He even told me I could bring my car to him once a month to check over. Johnny literally laid out the red carpet treatment for me. I was very impressed. I've been going to the Covina car was for oil changes for many years. My new spot it now jiffy lube! During this COVID-19 lockdown, we hear a lot of people admonishing us that "we're in this thing together," "Together we'll get through it." Jiffy Lube on Arrow in Covina didn't get the message. Their apparent slogan for the lockdown is "Screw 'em. Take 'em for everything you can get." I just got back from Jiffy Lube in Covina. I arrived there about 3:55 PM and was directed to leave my keys in the car. That's all they said. I saw a bench outside the lobby so I headed there. The lobby was bare. No chairs, no coffee pot. A counter and cash register were all there was. I sat. I sat. I continued to sit. After 20 minutes of sitting (that bench was quite uncomfortable,) I was called inside. Although I had patronized this specific location dozens of times, they claimed to have no record of me in their computer, nor of my car which they had routinely serviced. When they told me the price, I was incredulous. For a lube, oil change and filter, they wanted over $100. That's over double what I paid last time. The guy at the register said that I didn't understand that in this model, the oil was an integral part of a complex system, therefore the price was higher. Yeah, just like in every car. I noped out of there immediately. I think profiteering is a crime. I intend to pursue it. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. I called the dealer who had sold me the car. "Around $50." I came here last Friday to get my oil changed and I have to say that the gentleman in the front desk was extremely helpful and attentive. Yes, I did have to wait a bit before he came in to see what I needed but it wasn't very long and he quickly let me know that someone had called out so my wait time was going to be longer than usual. I appreciated that instead of just telling me the wait would be over an hour and a half without any justification. The lobby is clean and comfortable, there's a TV and he came in to see if the AC was on since it was hot that day. Overall I think this is a good location with the staff being friendly and helpful. It was my first time there and he offered me a $15 coupon for my oil change without me mentioning it since I came it wanting conventional but was told I had to get synthetic. read more

I've been having my car serviced at this store for several years. As a woman, it's especially important to feel that you feel that you are being treated honestly and with dignity and respect. I moved out-of-state almost a year ago. I came back down to California on vacation and specifically stopped at this shop to have my oil changed and because of Johnny who is the Service Advisor and has always provided excellent service. I stopped by today to have my oil levels checked. Johnny noticed my check engine light and instantly went in to inspection mode. He took the time to explain what the results showed and why certain repairs needed to be made ASAP. Turns out I have no oil and no transmission oil. He found the oil leak I've suspected I've had for two years but another store kept staring couldn't be found. I've never met anyone so honest and am humbled by his integrity and professionalism. The last 2 times I went to get my oil change they forgot to vacuum and wash the windows. They also don't check your tire pressure. If you go there pay attention to what they do cause they get lazy. It's obvious the supervisor "Johnny" is not paying attention or does not care. If I'm paying for a service, I expect it to be done. I should be able to relax and not worry about guys doing a mediocre service. Also "Johnny" was talking ill about a customer who was questioning a service. It is very unprofessional to do that in front of other customers. What happen to yes sir or no man and even mister or misses. The only reason I go there because of the convenience and the price. There is always a coupon. I recommend the corporation starts doing anonymous quality control checks. I may start looking for a different garage if it happens again. read more

Took my car for an oil change, soon discovered that I needed breaks and that my tires were under inflated and I would need new ones. Yes that's a lot but I knew it all already, the folks in charge were kind, profesional, and told me all the stuff I needed but never pushed me to get any work done other than the oil change...they showed me the brakes, pads, and the tire...all stuff I knew. Very good service, thorough, and I would recommend this store over others who did a very poor job w some as simple as a oil change. read more

I started bring my 2 vehechles here for convenience .i then discovered these guys strip my oil pan ,probably have some inexperienced guy down in the pit.then I discovered they did the same thing to my wife's new carI called and talked to the manager about the situation and he was very rude sarcastic and totally unprofessional!!!!!!!!i trusted these guys and the name jiffylube,so I am just going to buy new oil pans for both vehechles and chalk it up as a loss and I will never ever again bring my business to this place.very disappointing and think twice before bringing your cars here . read more

I waited in line to get helped because I needed an oil change and I was waiting for a bit and the guy at the front desk kept looking at me but never asked me if I needed anything. and then a guy got in line behind me and we were both waiting for a few minutes. Another employee then walked in and asked the gentleman behind me what he needed. The guy said that he needed an oil change and they walked outside to help him. I was still standing there. Not being help, no one had said anything to me. I stood there for another maybe 10 min and then walked outside to talk to the employee that was helping the other guy. I stood there for five minutes without being acknowledged and then left. Never have a gone somewhere and had to wait to even be acknowledged while chasing the employees. Came to get an oil change and fluids topped off . Ended up getting an oil change , fluids topped off , and an engine flush . 30 mins after leaving my car overheats because they forgot to add coolant and then gave me attitude when I waited days for a response from the manager. I will never return to jiffy lube and I highly recommend others to not go if they want there car to last them. I'm still waiting for my refund to be returned and it's been a week and a half. I would give this place zero stars if I could! I brought my Mini Cooper S here for an oil change. I know that due to the turbo engine, it requires synthetic oil so I expected to pay a bit more for the service, like around $60.00. They tried to charge me $140.00 for an oil change. When I asked why the price was so high, they said that I need synthetic oil and that since the oil filter is a "BMW filter" it's more expensive. I felt like they were trying to rip me off, so I left. A few days later, I went to the Jiffy Lube in Chino Hills. Same Mini Cooper, and they charged me $79.00 for an oil change with synthetic oil and oil filter. Don't go to this Covina Jiffy Lube! They are a bunch of crooks!! They will rip you off, especially if you are female! They thought they saw me coming, but I saw them first! read more

I've always come here for oil changes ever since I've had this car (10 years now) and I've never been yay or nay about their customer service. But today, I realized why they get such low ratings. Upon arriving, the tech who met me at the front told me the wait for my oil change would be 45 min to an hour when there's only one other car in the shop. He said they were short handed. Ok whatever. I really needed an oil change and this was the only day I could get in there. So I'll wait. The only reason they get this star is because he actually reminded me that I could get coupons online. Nice Them as I'm waiting in the lobby the other tech comes out to talk to me. He was rude to began rude questions about how my last oil change "did you know your last oil change was over a year ago?" Yea I know. So what. Don't judge. Then he goes on saying "this was the exact date of your last oil change!" And he shows me the date of my last visit. Then he continues, "was your oil light on?" I tell him it flashes on and off. "Does it stay on or just flashes?" I tell him again it has been flashing on and off for about a week. Then he keeps going " when it flashes you need to come in". No effing duh. Why else am I here? I'm done listening to his rude comments. And I tell him that I work 7 days a week. Long hours. I don't have time to do much. Then he said that he understands. How does he understand? I'm sure he doesn't work 60+ hours a week. And short staffed? I see 4 techs on the floor right now. This place is so bullshit. Just because I don't come in to spend money as often as you'd like. Doesn't mean you should judge me. Looks like I'll be finding myself a new place to get oil changes. Dear Karina, I do not want to stoop down to your level. But it's obvious that your account was created just to write that nasty message about me. I really don't care about what you say and what you think about me because you don't know me. Today I took my car for a second inspection of a failed Rideshare inspection I got at Jiffy Lube in Pomona (#1200) on Garey. I took it to the Jiffy Lube on Arrow Hwy and Sunflower at the request of Cesar, the district manager because he had read the review I posted on Google stating most of the issues below. He seemed like he wanted to make it right so I thought I'd give a different SoCal Jiffy Lube a chance. The first store failed me for a faulty ball joint and then proceeded to quote me $275.00 to repair it. The first mechanic also told me that I should be inspecting my own vehicle before bringing it in because they charge the $20 fee regardless if it's lights or seatbelts or something mechanical that fails. (NOTE: The rideshare company paid for the inspection.) At that time I had also asked for my oil to be checked and topped off and was told that if it had been more than 3K miles since the last service there would be a $6.00 charge to top it off. I get my oil changed every 5k miles and was well between visits...about 1500 miles before the next required oil change. I recently moved from ABQ and had been a loyal customer of Jiffy Lube for years. They always topped off my oil even if I was passed the 5K. Their policy was FREE TOPOFFS anytime. Apparently, SoCal Jiffy Lubes don't honor that policy. Last Friday I took my car to a reputable mechanic (Tucker Tires in Covina) to check the ball joints and they said nothing was wrong. They even gave me a receipt stating their diagnosis saying the same. I stopped in to talk to Cesar at the Covina Jiffy Lube, regarding the conflicting diagnosis and I found his manner to be somewhat patronizing and condescending. He invited me to bring my car in this morning (Monday, Feb 18th) and I brought my brother who is very knowledgeable about cars to verify their findings. Again, they failed my car for faulty ball joints. They let my brother witness their findings and he said he saw no problem. Sorry, this is so long but I will not be doing business with Jiffy Lube in SoCal going forward. I will find another company. It's really sad because I loved them in Albuquerque. Such a different business model. My advice is DON'T get your car repaired at Jiffy Lube without a second opinion from a reputable mechanic. They overcharge and I just don't trust them for anything other than oil changes. BUYER BEWARE! read more

Conveniently located up the street from me, I'm a bit of a Jiffy Lube-er. They send you coupons in the mail if you're a customer so I was about to take advantage of mine today. Normally, I would go with their early bird special of $26.99 from 7:00 am to 11:00 am but I ran a bit late today. Just to warn you, there are lots of early birds that come so don't think you're the smart one coming earlier than everyone else. To make up for my tardiness, I had my coupon ready.
