    DO NOT COME HERE!---UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL SPEEDEE OIL CHANGE IN MILLBRAE ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGING YOUR VEHICLE! Case in point, the moment I signed the work order, I absolved them from any damages because the small print says so. (It's a long story but bear with me.) A few months ago, I brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change. The high beams worked perfectly before the service. After the service, I noticed the high beams would not stay on--a clear issue that wasn't there when I dropped it off. When I pointed this out to the staff, they referred me to the work order, claiming it stated the vehicle was returned in perfect condition and that my signature agreed to this. The next day, I called to follow up, but the person on the phone was dismissive, refusing to address the issue or offer any solution. I had to pay to fix the high beams myself, but I decided to give them another chance. Today, April 28, 2025, I returned for another oil change. Before signing the work order, I specifically asked them to note the condition of my high beams and three other things I wanted checked. I went over three of the four issues but forgot to mention the main problem from before--the high beams not staying on. They completed the oil change, and I went to pay. The same receptionist from my last visit was there, but this time her boss was present. I brought up the entire issue from the previous visit, explaining that the high beams worked when I arrived last time but didn't when I left. The boss denied it happened, saying there was no proof, but offered a $60 discount on today's oil change "to make up for last time." I asked him why I would make up such a story--my high beams worked when I arrived, and they didn't when I left. Despite his denial, I appreciated the discount and hoped for a better experience. Before leaving, we checked the vehicle, and three of the four things I asked them to look at were fine. I left feeling okay, but on the road, I turned on the high beams, and once again, they didn't stay on. I immediately went back and told the receptionist that while we checked most things, we didn't verify if the high beams stayed on, and that's exactly what wasn't working. She insisted everything was fine because I had said so before leaving, but I pointed out that we never specifically checked this issue. I even said, "Come on, you can admit we didn't check if the high beams stayed on." At that point, the manager--the boss--stepped in and said, "WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO? WE'LL GIVE YOU A REFUND AND DON'T COME BACK." They refunded the oil change, which was originally $125 but reduced to $65 with the discount, and told me never to return. Their work order comments show how they shift blame: "Customer states at last oil change, vehicle lights were tampered with during service. Customer was made aware that this is not something SpeeDee would do. Customer states issue with addressed with dealership stating it was an electrical fault. As part of satisfaction even though SpeeDee admits to no fault. Customer was given 50% of service this time only." I never accused them of tampering--I only said something happened because the high beams stopped working both times after their service. Instead of investigating, they blamed an "electrical fault" I'd have to take up with a dealership, offered a partial discount, and when the issue happened again, they refunded me and banned me from returning. This business consistently avoids accountability. Twice, my high beams stopped working after their service, and twice, they refused to take responsibility, hiding behind fine print and vague claims of "electrical faults." The safety hazard of non-functioning high beams is serious, yet their solution was to refund me and tell me not to come back. There are better auto shops in the area that don't treat customers this way. Avoid SpeeDee at all costs.

    The SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service location at Millbrae, California is an independently owned 2 store franchise by Arun Nagpal. He also owns the SpeeDee in Redwood City, California (550 Veterans Blvd). Both locations offer full service & repair facilities with friendly service with a very comfortable lounge which includes a clean bathroom, desk with USB and power outlets as well as a desk. The Wi-Fi is very solid & reliable... great for getting work done while you wait. I first used this SpeeDee for an oil change on September 25, 2023 which qualified my for the following checks / top offs for **FREE** when I came in due to my yellow service light turning on for my Porsche Macan S 2015: washer fluid | coolant | power steering | tire pressure | front & rear windows cleaned. Chanal is the Shop Lead at the Millbrae location (her husband Ash has the same role at the Redwood City location. Her humor can be found on the candy jar sign reading 'No Matter The Question, Candy Is The Answer.' This location had a different previous owner about 6 years ago, so you can ignore any bad previous reviews. This is legit 100% the place I'll be servicing my vehicle for oil changes & uber inspections and it's close to the SFO airport & Quick Quack car wash!!! Please shop local and support a minority owned small business. Mindy Kaling: A sitcom about Chanal and this location is waiting for you!!!

    I gave the business a call about the issue and they were extremely helpful. So I went back in to get my oil changed and not only did they tell me how it is highly unlikely them, they SHOWED me the process they used as I watched them. They were very accommodating and explained their whole process. I definitely owe them a huge apology and should have expected that it was most likely my car dealer that stripped the screw. SpeeDee even helped get the stripped drain plug out and put a new one in! Happy to say I will gladly be coming back here.

Invoices are attached highlighting the staff that helped as well as things I felt were important to highlight. Basically: the price-matching and the hassle-free warranty replacement (since damage was deemed irreparable). What isn't shown in the invoices is how attentive and considerate Mauricio (red shirt) was during my warranty replacement visit. Highlights: (1) he put my car in the system such that I would be immediately next in line as soon as the replacement tire came in, (2) spent considerable extra time with me to diagnose TPMS (tire pressure monitor) issues after the replacement, and; (3) made sure I had face-to-face contact with another red-shirt member (Sebastian) in case my TPMS issues were unresolved when Mauricio is not present. I did want to mention that it was extremely busy when I came in. It took me some time to actually get to talk to Mauricio specifically, but his professionalism was worth the wait. Lastly, I wanted to give a shout out to the technicians that actually serviced my vehicle on 10/29/25 and 01/19/26: those guys did fine by me. PS: Mauricio was right; driving a few miles fixed my TPMS issue. PPS: With the amount of construction in Millbrae and Burlingame, I'll probably see these guys again--when I do I'll be confident I'll be taken care of well.

They were telling everybody, all 28 of those cars, that they would be done by 6 PM. There was a guy who came in to check on the car that he left yesterday, they told him his car would also be done by 6 PM. Me being an observant person (yes I'm still using my phone going on social media and watching videos and what not) I'm also listening and being aware of what's going on around me. I listen and noticed that the African American Man (wearing all black) short hair with cornrow braids on his head is very rude the way he talks to his employees. He is the opening manager named Darrence. I absolutely do not like the way he treats his employees. He yells at them and gives them attitude which is unacceptable and definitely looks very uncomfortable place to work at. He must be coached on the way he speaks to his employees. I understand that the employees make minor mistakes, but there's no need to talk to them the way that Darrence did. Victor (older Asian male) helped us out and was wonderful. He had excellent customer service and it was very knowledgeable. He was quick on his feet and provided outstanding customer service. We do appreciate Victor for all he does. Thank you for your hard work, attentiveness, kindness, and knowledge Victor, you deserve a raise.

I don't know much about cars and I do think they probably do OK work, but I feel like I'm being up sold repeatedly and taken advantage of. I won't be going back. The oil changes change price depending on who's at the counter. I bought my tires there so the tire rotation should be free but then all of a sudden my oil change is 40 more dollars than the last time. They had trouble getting a screw off the oil pan for my jeep and that turned into over $400 by itself. I'm sorry I cannot recommend them.

I was happy with the fast service and excited about my new wheels. To my fault, I took a back angle photo of the back right tire then left. Fast forward a week and not using my truck, I washed it. When I got to my wheels, I used a sponge and car soap. I see a black oily substance and scratches on the center area of one wheel. I inspected the last 3 and find all the same marks. I called Hanlon's and they told me to send photos. I did and had to call back over 30 minutes later to get a response. I was told by Rob, "the manager", that he would get back to me on the following Monday. Of course, he didn't and I had to call back. He told me he would get back to me the next day. Tuesday, 3 days after the initial call, I am given the "he's on lunch" excuse for the second time. I called again and I'm out on hold for 13 minutes and 22 seconds. Rob proceeds to say it wasn't their fault according to an online service "specialist". I then told him I'm coming in. As I drive in, I felt the hostility of 3 of his workers surrounding my truck, probably trying to justify their work was good and it wasn't them. Rob used a flashlight and inspected a couple of the wheels and proceeded to deny it. He showed me a paper of an email of someone else's wheel that was scratched and said "see, this is how our machine would've scratched them". If you're the only shop to touch my BRAND NEW $2000 WHEELS, and there's scratches on all 4 wheels in consistent locations, how can you deny my claim? Three out of 4 boxes were sealed. Long story and you've probably moved on from my review already, but think twice before going to Hanlon's. Rob has my number and he has the opportunity to correct his mistake. However he sees fit on a settlement, I'm all ears. He mentioned "refurbish" on the phone and I'm not refurbishing my brand new wheels. I wanted validation of that first. Rodrigo came out to show me and was making up all sorts of stuff like feel the grooves, it needs a replacement. Still not convinced as I wasn't getting a straight answer to how many mm are left with proof, I went under the car and took this picture. There is more than 50% left, about 70% of a full pad. The little low pad warning visual helper notch is still there as well. Are the clerks incentivized to make one time sales over running a honest business?
