No noted oil leak from service date!
    Sandra V.

BEWARE!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! If you want something done right you can't trust Jiffy to do it. I brought my vehicle here on a lunch break, where they proceeded to caused over 1000.00 in damages. Not two weeks later, I returned because my vehicle started dropping rapidly in percentage of oil, aside from leaving large amounts of oil in every drive way I parked in. It was such a large leak, that when I would park or stop at a light I could smell the burned oil. The employee that remembered me bringing in my vehicle the first time, said it was a "loose gasket" and that the entire under carriage of the vehicle was "covered in oil" he topped it off, and called it good. Over the next few days, it was still dropping in percentage; and leaking everywhere. I don't live close to this location but I didn't trust them to solve anything since the issue continued after my second visit. I took my vehicle to a more trustworthy shop, that stated that they "see this all the time" from "quick shops" like jiffy. The oil change was done carelessly and it caused the oil housing unit to be knocked off center, causing the seal to break and showed me the leak with a colored uv dye. I reached out to this location after being told it needed to be replaced and that it would cost over 1000.00 to get the part replaced. I was given the run around it took over a month and a half, 6 phone calls, and a stop in to the shop to hear back from any type of manager. With me explaining the situation all over again each time. Finally, I hear back from the regional manager I'm assuming. With a copy and pasted bulletin and a phone call stating they would have to deny the claim because there was a supposed notice about my vehicle and said part. See picture below: My main point is this, if my vehicle had a leak prior to taking it into this location? I should have been notified prior to service, & there should have been a notice on the service sheet. Neither were the case. Now, after all of this..I am still forced to pay for the damages & my situation is just swept under the rug. Save yourself the money and stress & take your vehicle somewhere else. Unless you already have issues with your car & just want someone to top the tank & send you on your way.

I brought my car in for a stalling issue. The initial diagnosis cost $775 to replace a battery…read morecable and add a ground screw, which felt very high. Afterward, I was told the car had multiple oil and coolant leaks and was quoted an additional $3,500 for repairs. On a car worth about $4,000, this didn't make financial sense. When I declined the extensive repairs, there was no discussion of smaller, interim solutions or things I could try myself; the only suggestion was financing the full amount. The immediate next step was being asked to retrieve my vehicle. The shop was extremely busy, and I left with the impression that they prioritize large, high-cost jobs. Disappointed with the experience and lack of flexible solutions, I will not be returning. Update to my previous review: It's been two weeks since I picked up my vehicle, and I have not observed any oil on my driveway. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. I check my fluids every month, this has never happened to me. There was no offer to repair the damage.

Yelp Review - Sal's Auto Tech, Centennial, CO I've never had…read morea more traumatic automotive experience in my life. On March 4, 2026, I drove my 2007 RAV4 to Sal's Auto Tech for a simple battery and alternator replacement. My car is my lifeline and income source, and at the time, my temporary home. I called the shop that morning; Audrey was friendly but told me I'd need to bring the car in for an estimate. I arrived around 10 AM, waited an hour in the office, then the mechanic took me to the shop -- my car was already lifted on the hoist. Instead of focusing on my simple request, the mechanic spent hours inspecting tires, brakes, suspension, and the underside, ignoring me repeatedly. I eventually asked about the price for the battery and alternator. The mechanic acted offended, and another employee quoted $1,700. and they installed them, but during the process broke my radiator. Then I was told a piece of my radiator had been broken by their mechanic. They said it could be fixed the next morning. I asked if I could stay in the parking lot safely overnight -- they refused. When I requested my property back, they called the police and had me trespassed. I was humiliated, scared, and forced to drive 7 miles to a Walmart parking lot to sleep safely. The next morning, I towed my car back to the shop ($190). I met with Sal, gave him the broken radiator piece, and he was rude, dismissive, and baffled that their mechanics had broken it. He told me I was trespassed and could not stay near the property. Even after two days, the radiator was still not properly repaired -- just topped off. On March 6, they sent me a handwritten note falsely blaming me for radiator damage. The accusations were completely false and misleading, adding stress on top of an already humiliating situation. I drove 10 miles to Denver, and the temperature gauge went immediately red. I went straight to Jiffy Lube, where within five minutes, they discovered the lower radiator hose had never been connected, spilling coolant everywhere. They fixed it promptly, refilled the radiator, and confirmed my car was safe. During this entire ordeal, I lost income every day, was ignored, dismissed, and gaslit, and experienced fear and humiliation from being trespassed and blamed. The shop clearly took their time because they knew I couldn't confront them on-site, and their attitude made it clear they found my distress amusing. My experience was not just bad service -- it was emotionally traumafinancially damaging, and completely unprofessional. If you rely on your car for work, safety, or even basic transportation, do not go to Sal's Auto Tech. They broke my property, refused to take responsibility, involved the police unnecessarily, and left me stranded. I cannot overstate the stress, fear, and frustration I endured. Honest, competent mechanics at Jiffy Lube resolved the issue in minutes -- something Sal's could have done immediately. Avoid this shop entirely.

Short Review (Quick Read)…read more Do not come near this business. You will pay more and receive very poor service. I took my truck to Saul's Autotek to save money versus the dealership and ended up paying more, dealing with missed deadlines, broken promises, and a failed repair that caused engine smoke just three months later. They never returned my calls when the problem appeared. Lesson learned: the dealership was actually cheaper and did the job right. Full Detailed I usually take my truck to the dealership. During my last oil change, the dealer inspection showed about $5,000 in urgent items. I decided to try a small/medium shop to save money and found Saul's Autotek due to good reviews. I brought the dealer's list (without prices) and worked with an advisor named Matt. I understood they needed to perform their own inspection. Their inspection added several items--some expected, like tires--but also introduced what became my worst nightmare: the valve cover gasket. The quote jumped to $9,000, which concerned me. Matt insisted the number would come down. He shook my hand and promised--without hesitation--that I would be happy after his "adjustments." That was my mistake: trusting him. I made the payment to get things started late Wednesday. That night, I carefully compared Saul's quote line by line with the dealership's. To my surprise, Saul's was about $1,000 more expensive than the dealership. I called Thursday morning at opening (7 a.m.). Matt answered. I told him I no longer wanted the service. He said parts were already ordered and doubled down, promising again to "work his magic" on the price. He also claimed Saul's uses higher-quality parts than the dealership--which turned out not to be true. He said the truck would be ready Thursday. I told him not to rush; Friday was fine. From that point on, everything went downhill. I never spoke to Matt again. He stopped returning calls. Another employee (Christian, I believe) took over communication and said the truck wouldn't be ready until Saturday. He told me to just show up. I arrived Saturday 30 minutes before closing. An Uber dropped me off as someone named Ryan was closing the office. I had to insist he reopen the door. He then told me the truck might be ready Sunday morning. At that point, I said I wanted my truck back as-is and explained the entire situation. Instead of accountability, I received excuses: "We're open 7 days a week" "We offer a warranty" "Ford gets cheaper parts because they build the cars" Eventually, they discounted the bill by about $1,000--the same difference I had already proven compared to the dealership. However, I still paid significantly less for parts at Saul's, which raised serious concerns about quality. Three months later, I started smelling burnt plastic. Then one day, smoke came out of the engine. I immediately took the truck to the dealership. Without mentioning Saul's previous work, the dealer diagnosed the issue and stated (with photos): "Verified customer's concern and performed an engine oil leak diagnosis. Found spark plug hole seals leaking into cylinders 2, 3, and 6 and leaking externally. Recommend replacing complete valve cover assemblies." I called Saul's Autotek and left messages. They never called me back. I filed a claim with my credit card company instead. Why do I believe they used inferior parts? I compared the valve cover gasket job: Labor: similar at both places (~$1,500) Parts: Saul's charged $220, dealership charged $900 If Saul's truly used OEM parts, the prices should be close. A $700 difference suggests either cheap aftermarket parts or poor workmanship. Either option is unacceptable. Final lesson: If you think dealerships are always more expensive, you may be wrong. For oil changes, brakes, wipers, and especially major engine work, the dealership can be cheaper--and far more reliable. Penny wise, pound foolish.

I really liked him, appreciated his work. I hired him to…read morereplace the power steering pump, the cost was absolutely cheaper than other places especially because I bought the part my own. After the work done, the car felt pretty much same or sometimes even worse, for example the handle gets really stiff to turn. He says that it's very normal process because the air has to be bleed out. Weeks have passed with same issue so he came to check the car again and said there's power steering pump rack problem. The rack is usually $1000-2000. Personally didn't really think it would be the rack problem with several reasons and decided to take the car to bigger auto shop. After diagnosis, I was told that the power steering pump is failed because when it was replaced, the flush should've be done but since he skipped it, now debris in fluid damaged not only the whole new pump but also hose and reservoir. Of course as car owner, I was definitely frustrated with the fact that now I have to pay extra more money than before when I thought I could save money because of how mechanic guy has done. I personally had to pay new power steering pump+labor fee but now I have to pay another new power steering pump+hose+reservoir+another labor fee. I will accept the fact that I was asking money back at first because.... who wouldn't? It might not be making sense to ask money back for damaging the new power steering pump by how poorly worked done but I thought the labor fee at least would've been made sense. Instead of taking accountability, he would be defend and saying the book he learned from says that power steering pump replacement is totally okay without the flush and had no problem with all other cars or sending me the google search screenshots. Of course the warranty wouldn't cover anything of things even if he damaged the new part and extra parts of car. Currently I wanted to see more opinions than one or two so took the car to another new auto shop, they also agreed that power steering pump is failed and with high possibility from how it was worked done. Surprisingly the rack itself doesn't look like having a problem, different than what this guy said. People at auto shop also say that flush is very necessary for the pump replacement, especially when the car is old. As I personally said to him, people can always make mistakes but important thing is how to handle. I got an apology eventually. But I wasted money. The other thing, he advised me to replace rear break pads soon. I went to check the break pad recently, all my break pads are not needed to replace due to adequate thickness. I would say he is a capable man to do some works on cars but I can't say he would be with more complicated jobs.

I want to start off by yes, this was a convenient mobile service at the time when it came to…read morereplacing an A/F sensor, but I'm having issues with that recently due to taking my car to the dealership. They reported that the A/F sensor is faulty/needs replacement. I have since requested a full refund for that service since they installed a faulty A/F sensor and have not received that as per contract.. To say that this mechanic has screwed me over is an understatement. Do NOT waste your time or your money here! Originally I had Sage quote me for a torque converter replacement for $1020.43. I got a phone call later letting me know that I needed a transmission replacement instead. He told me the labor would cost the same since the car was already taken apart and we would discuss where to get the transmission. I was given two options; $1500 used transmission with about 30k in miles or a remanned transmission for $3000 with warranty. I was highly advised to get the remanned transmission because it would have a warranty in case any issues were to arise. And I'm so glad I did because the transmission company from CA refunded me in full after sending me a faulty transmission then the nightmare began. Sage Automotive was extremely unprofessional and bit off more than they could chew. If you look at their available services here on yelp, transmission replacement is not listed. Sage could've easily done the right thing and said, "Hey, you're going to need a new transmission. I don't have the necessary skill set to do that let me refer you to ..." but no, I was reassured about the service and that it would not take more than two weeks. My car was held hostage for almost two months. I was given the run around every time I would ask for an update and treated as if this was a project car when this is my primary source of transportation. The job got pushed back multiple times for different reasons; technicians getting sick, wife's birthday, food poisoning, etc. I would understand if this was a favor that I asked from a friend but I'm literally paying for a service and was neglected as a paying customer. I paid for the transmission along with the labor in FULL before the service was even completed!!! So why prolong the process when you have been paid? I dropped the car off Dec. 26th 2025. Thursday Jan 7th the transmission was delivered and January 12th the transmission job was supposed to be done. I had a trip planned and was hoping I would have my car before January 13th. Come Tuesday Jan. 13th I have my flight out of town and I was given no phone call, text or email update on my car. I had to reach out to Sage myself 2 days after the agreed due date to make sure that I would receive my car when I got back that Saturday. I was told by Sage that my car would be ready by then, but to my surprise I had received a phone call while on vacation only to be let down yet again and that they would need a couple more days. On this phone call I was not given a due date for my vehicle, "... I don't want to put a due date on it because it seems that every time we do it gets pushed back." Also " I spent $400 on tools for this job.." Why is this relevant to me? Normally that wouldn't fly at other shops. Why couldn't Sage do the right thing and be transparent that he COULDN'T HANDLE THE JOB. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for a car rental (no amount or type of car was specified on said phone call). I went through Costco because it was the cheapest option and was billed $196.18. My total was a lot more due to insurance fees but I ate the cost of those. I had no say in the type of car I was given, I rented it for 4 days to get me through the weekend and to my early shifts that week. I only asked Sage to cover the $196.18. After sending Sage the bill I was met with a passive aggressive email written by AI that said they would only cover up to $150 for a 3 day rental and criticized the choice of vehicle because I should've chosen something of "equal value" to my car. Using AI to write a business email seems really counterintuitive to just reaching out and asking more questions about the rental costs instead of making assumptions. They also requested email to be the only form of contact moving forward to save their ass from making more commitments they couldn't follow through with. I paid $1251.05 for the job and was told that the new transmission was faulty. Sage reached out to the company in CA and they were able to send a new part replacement and cover the labor cost for the part replacement. Outstanding service from those guys. The part arrived Monday Feb. 2nd and I reached out that I would need my car no later than Tuesday Feb. 3rd. Let me preface that the valve body part replacement is a simple quick job for someone that knows what they're doing (2hrs).

He was the reason I wanted to get the suspension serviced here as his explanation of what I needed done showed his mastery of his craft. However after taking the car to Tesla to get a 2nd opinion I discovered that this shop (not the tech) was trying to charge me literally a 200% markup on the parts to do the repair. Crazy right!!! The genuine Tesla parts for the repair were $209 and these guys quoted those same parts out to $614 (I sent him the estimate from Tesla with the exact cost of the parts). Unfortunately for me Tesla wouldn't work on the car because of an aftermarket body kit the previous owner had installed. I really liked the mechanic at this shop, so I went back to this shop with the intention to move forward even though their cost was literally 56% more ($1,635 vs $2,555) then Tesla for the same work (because of the price gouging on the parts). Then when I asked about it before my approval to move forward the manager got snarky and said how would you expect us to stay in business if we don't markup the parts. I said and I quote "I get a markup on the parts and your high hourly rate for the labor on the work but not a 200% markup on the parts." The guy gave an excuse about the software they use but was unwilling to budge on the price gouging. I literally said why don't you let me buy the parts directly from Tesla and you can still mark them up 25% and he still said no. I was completely professional throughout the conversation, but obviously would not pay a 200% markup on parts on top of the already top of market labor they charge. After the conversation he texted me back and we agreed to not move forward. I only leave this review to warn others. It's a bad business practice to over charge people like that and so I just wanted to give people my story warning them to watch out and be careful before doing any work here. Update: this slime ball's disclosure of all the information I gave his manager, Steve, in good faith is abhorrent. Everything he mentioned on the car was told to them right up front as I told it to the manager, Steve, in person and this clown is repeating word for word what I told his manager. I was cool with this at first but this guy is a complete scum bag now using my own words and lying about it. Anyways besides being a scum bag, no effort at all was made regarding the parts and this shops 200% markup. I literally told the guy running the shop I would buy the parts myself and let them mark it up 25% and still the answer was a quick no. Everything I said was honest and accurate and don't appreciate this guy claiming transparency when his long shpeel was essentially just a my own words complaining about the car I bought and his shops poor excuse for price gauging. They could have done the job without gauging me on the price given I had the option to buy the parts myself. Not cool at all the response from this guy and his piss poor excuse for attempting to rip me off.

My son and his fiance were coming to town, and I didn't want to pick them up with a grinding noise under the hood, or to have the flap fall off and get lost. The next morning I had to be downtown at 9:00 am, after which I would need the car all day. So I showed up 7:00 a.m. at a repair shop I'd used before.
