I have come here twice in my life. Both times were bad experiences. That 29.99 oil change sign outside is a lie. It's there to just bring you in. I have my own mechanic who uses a synthetic blend and I only pay $34. I came here twice only because they stay open late and I was in severe need of an oil change. I came in a few months ago to get a synthetic blend oil change and to replace the oil filter. The cashier charged me $94 dollars. I was in disbelief. The charges on the paper didn't even make sense, he couldn't even explain it to me. I told him that it was too much and he said "I will give you a discount and help you out, don't worry about it" I starting arguing with him because the price was still high and a total rip off. He assured me again and I signed because I wanted to trust him. About an hour later, he came back with the final bill and only took off $10. I was furious and I told him that this job is still too much money. He then told me that I signed the paper and that means I agree to the payment. WOW, I cant believe someone in an established business would lie to my face and tell me that. I paid and left. I will never come here again. The unprofessionalism and unethical salesmanship shouldn't even be legal. I hope that man doesn't work there anymore. read more

Jorge was able to get me in and out of my oil change much faster than i anticipated. I'm not a morning person but i sure am glad that Jorge is. This place is a joke! Let's start with the only positives the cashier was very apologetic and helpful! My husband worked at jiffy lube for many years and knows how it all works! When we arrived we didn't even get a "hello or how could we help you or anything" never once asked what we wanted done to our car until the oil was out of the car and my husband walked out there as started asking questions when they then continued to do what they were doing and didn't even answer any of his questions.They didn't do any of the SAE's or every check my tire pressure or any of the things they were supposed to do they just did the oil and that was it! Go to cash out and complain and spoke to the supervisor on duty and she basically laughed at us. We have never had a problem with any jiffy lube and always trusted them to maintain our cars but I would NEVER recommend this one to anyone I knew and will NEVER go to this one again! read more

Botched a simple oil change. When I drove away the car was driving funny. Brought it back once to find they had put the filter in wrong. They fixed it, but then the next day the light was turning on again. I called ahead, and they said to take it in and they would take another look at it. After waiting for 20 min the guy tells me he's not actually going to look at it again because he was sure he couldn't have done anything wrong twice, and recommended I just take it straight to a mechanic. Turns out he did put it in wrong again. Pretty disappointed. read more

I took my car in on Thursday. The attendant was nice and offered me coffee and water. As I sat in the waiting area I heard another customer complain about not being told that they were out of the synthetic oil he wanted. The problem was they didn't notify him of this until they had already dumped the oil out of his car. The customer raised such a fuss they gave him the expensive oil for the price of synthetic. After about a 45min. wait the attendant spoke to me about my car. After some decisions were made I was well on to getting the oil changed on my car. Everything seemed good. I paid a higher than normal price for an oil change but I needed it done right away. On Friday night, the next day, my check engine light went on. My husband googled reviews and apparently this had happened to another customer before. As it turned out a hose was disconnected. This hose was on then opposite side of the engine where they were working on my car just the day before. I've never had problem with the check engine light on my car. Now all of a sudden I did. I can't say they definitely disconnected it themselves but I can say that it was all very fishy and I will never go there again. Can't trust them. read more

If I could give them a zero star I would! I've gone here in the past and they've been slow but this recent time was the last straw! They don't respect your time or business! When I arrived they said it would take 20 minutes, 30 at most. After sitting there for over 45 minutes, I asked how much longer and was told 20-30 minutes. I stated that this is how long I was told when I arrived 45 minutes ago. I was apparently talking to the manager who couldn't even pause what he was doing to talk or look at me. He never once apologized or tried helping me. He was so extremely rude, I felt so disrespected! I would never recommend this place! The worst customer service I have ever experienced! And this was all from the manager! I can't believe that is how a manager treats his customers! How is this place still open! read more

It took less then 30 minutes to do the services in my car. I have been coming to this shop for seven years. While on a trip, I visited a Jiffylube up toward Big Bear just to get my oil changed. The next day, my car notified me that the oil levels were too high. I went to this Jiffylube in Downey to see if they could adjust the levels. I was willing to pay for whatever service was needed. But assuming that I was looking for a free adjustment, they pulled my car out of the station and told me they couldn't help me. Their reason: "We can't measure the oil levels." Really? You work at Jiffylube and don't possess the skills to check my oil levels? All too eager to get rid of me, they didn't even bother to offer any services for which I would pay without hesitation. When I asked if there was anything at all they could do, the assistant manager gave me a rushed, "If you want anything done, you need to go to the other Jiffylube." I explained that I'd be willing to pay for another oil change. Rather than accepting my business, the assistant manager found it necessary to again direct me to the other Jiffylube. It took me five times explaining that I was willing to pay for an oil change before the genius caught on. He was too defensive (probably thinking I wanted a free fix) to hear me out and get the oil changed. He responded with a terrible attitude. I was surprised that he was an assistant manager, being that he lacked professionalism in the most basic sense. Typically, I use my own mechanic for my car's fixes. But my mechanic wasn't available then. My review isn't necessarily against their service - it's what you'd expect from any place like Jiffylube. The issue I took was with the man's poor attitude. He was a spikey-headed man - I didn't get his name. However, the other gentleman was helpful. The assistant manager should have just stood quiet and let his more skilled worker handle the situation. The worker heard me out and understood what I was asking without trying to rush me out for fear of me requesting a free service (which I was not requesting). read more

This review does not even deserve 1 star. Very disgusted with the service they provided my father and myself with. We get here and they sit us down. So we are waiting for 50 min and finally the worker comes back and says "sir I'm sorry but I don't know how to tell you this but we are all out of oil filters so we cannot do anything to your car ." first thing that came to my mind was what kind of shit is that? The only thing the guy did was give me a coupon? What kind of customer service skills? The right thing for the manager to say and do is.
