Never had a problem, long wait times because they are very busy, but that's usually a good sign!

The whole place had such good vibes: everyone I met was pleasant, upbeat, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. I got to meet the owner, Steve, along with my car's new bff Pablo, who went above and beyond during what was scheduled as a simple service visit. He affixed my front license plate, cleaned the inside of my windshield (!), let me tag along on the test drive, and even brought me into the shop to see my car's underside once it was up in the air. How did he know I would absolutely love that? Little things mattered too: the waiting area was comfortable, clean, sunny, and quiet, with a thoughtfully planned garden out front. Rates were refreshingly reasonable--and not one cent over the estimate. It was such an exceptional experience, one that gave me real confidence and peace of mind that my car is in good hands. Three cheers for Wasp Automotive!

A couple days ago I had some issues with my car that would not start. They were kind enough to pick it up and bring to their shop. After careful diagnostics they could not find anything wrong. They did a search to possibly find the cause but could find nothing. Their charge was beyond reasonable and I will continue to use them for any issues with my car. Both their work and their customer service are wonderful! I am what is known as a " senior citizen" and I so appreciate this kind of service which is not always easy to find in today's world.

It turns out the engine was also completely shot--something they failed to diagnose or mention. I had to tow the vehicle to another shop, where the mechanics immediately noticed a severe misfire without even plugging in a scan tool. A compression test confirmed zero compression on cylinder 1, requiring a $20,000 engine replacement. It is impossible to believe that a specialized transmission shop didn't notice a catastrophically failing engine before taking my money. When I reached out to discuss a partial discount, management completely refused to budge. Their stubbornness backfired: I disputed the entire $8,000 charge with my credit card company for receiving a broken product, won the dispute, and walked away with a FULL refund. Thank you, American Express!"

However, they failed to measure the voltage values of the solenoids in my automatic transmission valve body. That is the first thing my issues required. I would have gladly paid them to do that. That they did not seem to know the importance of that ended up waisting my time. Fortunately, waisting my time was the only cost I paid.

Clyde at Pass The Wrench doesn't do that. He's a fine young man who provides quality, affordable service. If the job isn't done that day, you pay him when it is. I seriously lucked out by asking on Reddit if anyone knew of a mobile mechanic that could come to our house and fix out Infiniti, someone recommended him. He answered his phone right away, listened to the issue, and came plenty prepared. Not only was he fantastic with the service he provided, he was able to get us discounts on the parts we needed, willing to work around us very close to Christmas (even offering to work ON Christmas), and it turns out he can do more than just cars. Since moving to NC, all we ever hear about is how everyone in this state has "A Guy" they know that can do fix-it/handy projects around the house. Clyde at Pass The Wrench happens to be That Guy for us now. It's rare you find someone that loves what they do and is willing to do good work at a good price without trying to swindle their customers for a quick buck. When it comes to local businesses, Pass the Wrench is exactly the sort of place I want my money going because the person running it happens to be just an all around good human. He might be based out of Raleigh, but he services all over and will come to you to fix your car. We're out in Clayton, and he came to us without issue. I will personally be recommending him to everyone I know.

They were a little busy and it took 45 minutes for them to get to my car. But thankfully, they were able to patch my tire up and only charged me about 23 bucks. That's much better than the $200 or so I would have spent to replace it. My total experience took about two hours, which was a little long, but at least it got done correctly.

Even though I…read morepurchased the tires at Firestone on New Hope Church rd in Raleigh with a warranty because I was at work and didn't think I could make it to Raleigh before they closed. I arrived at my scheduled time 1:10pm and I was finished by 2:15. I work in the dental field and went on my lunch break, because of this I called my patient and asked if I could move them to 2:30 because I knew I may run late. The patient was able to accommodate me. (This is important for the review) they were able to plug the tire and because I had purchased the warranty there was nothing due. Joe fixed me right up and I made it back in time. A couple days later my TPMS light indicates it can't read my tire pressure. I go online to make an appointment for 6:00 that day. The Durham location calls me and states they can't see me at 6:00 because they have 3 people already for 6:00. I informed them I picked the time the online offer. They stated the online schedule doesn't take into consideration that they already have people scheduled and asked if I could come at 4:00. I informed them I could not, I could do 5:30. They stated they could not see me until next week, informed them I didn't want to wait that long, I'm not sure if this tire is leaking or just the light. I inquired if another Firestone would be able to see me and handle the issue. He stated yes, so I go online and make an appointment with them for 6:00. Low and behold they call me and stated they couldn't see me at 6:00 because they were booked. It sounds like their online systems need to be updated, because you show me what's available and I choose. I say okay and cancel the appointment, I call my mom and ask if i could use her car and she says yes. I go back online and schedule with New Hope location for 12:00pm the next day. I get a call from the location informing me that I made another appointment, I told him yes I will have my mother bring it. He then tells me I need to go back to Durham and what's their number because it makes no sense that they can't see me until next week. I provided the number even though at this point I have steam coming from my ears! New Hope calls back and said he spoke to Jeff the general manager and they can see me tomorrow at 6:00, and to call them. I call Jeff, and said I guess the Raleigh location called you and he proceeds to say we can see you tomorrow at 8:00am. I once again inform him I cannot do 8:00, I have a patient. I can do 4:00 and that's the time we settle on. Last night I received a text that my appointment has been updated to 9:00am, at this point I have decided to see someone else and just pay out of pocket. Then today I received a text today stating my appointment is at 6:00pm then I receive one 15 minutes later stating my appointment has been moved to July 31 at 12:00pm. Who arbitrarily moves an appointment? Can you imagine your dental office sending you a text that they have just moved your appointment? I spent over 1,1000 for new tires and brakes less than a year ago and they can't even uphold their warranty.
