I purchased a truck that never should have passed inspection. The dealer took it to be inspected annd the truck came back with an inspection sticker. so I moved forward with the purchase. When the check engine light came on, I brought it to a mechanic. the mechanic stated "this truck never should have passed an inspection." If I could upload the pictures, you would see why. They did both but when I looked at the receipt AFTER I paid, I noticed they also charged $30 for windshield wiper fluid that I didn't ask for nor did they tell me it needed to be refilled. Went to the E.longmeadow Jiffy Lube for an oil change. While there, they informed me that my brake rotors were dangerously warn thin and gave me a quote along with changing out brake fluid that supposedly had a lot of moisture in it. They could do the job immediately. Not wanting to have my brakes done there, I returned to the Firestone shop in Enfield that installed them last year. After inspection, the brakes weren't even close to needing replacement or having brake fluid changed. These guys at Jiffy Lube are desperately in need of additional training...unless they were intentionally attempting to pull a scam. I will never go to Jiffy Lube again. read more

I got the the bill from a different tec as the first tec, maybe the manager, was conveniently on a "call". I have no problem with paying for service, but I do take issue with dishonesty. Then the flr mgr showed me "evidence" that my radiator needed a flush as it was forcing toxims into the engine. Sounded dangerous. So i told him to do it. 15% off coupon how bad could it be? Bill comes. $231.00 My charge card cldnt cover it all. I wrote a check for balance -$90. The middle man told me his boss in the back refused to take checks. Poor guy went bk and forth betw ne and the hidden boss. If I could give negative stars, I would. My car needed front brake pads. I asked the manager who greeted me in the parking lot how much "front brake pads cost" and he said "five ninety nine." Because of his answer, I asked a clarifying question: "five hundred and ninety nine dollars?!" His reply was: "no, no! Five dollars ninety nine." Okay, that was really inexpensive, but who am I to counsel a company on their prices. He then informed me that my rear brake pads were also worn. Since I was getting an oil change also, I was debating whether I wanted all four BRAKE PADS replaced. FOUR HOURS later, I was asked to pay over $1100 (!!!!!!!) for a full synthetic oil change, 4 brake pads, 4 rotors, and brake fluid!! The manager proceeded to tell me that they had thrown away my old rotors and brake pads and would not put them back on my car, followed me around while I made a phone call to my regular mechanic, and told me I had to pay for the services. I was so pressured and intimidated by him that I ended up paying $730 (!!!!!). When I requested the number to corporate, he didn't have it. So he called someone and then wrote the number to their payroll department on my receipt! Everyone who actually worked on my oil change and brakes did a phenomenal job....it was the manager who was incompetent, a liar, and fraudulent. read more

I'm so disappointed with this place. Since getting my new car I take it to this location for an oil change. I really did like that they are quick, good hours and usually have a coupon. I was a customer here for multiple years since moving to Mass. This last year has been a nightmare at this place and having a pandemic is not a excuse by any means. There's so many issues with this place I don't even know where to start. First off they really think because you're a woman they can pull a fast one on you. They lie and try to up-charge you with ever visit. One of my visits I was told my 4WD fluid needed to be replaced. I get that done and I pay over 400 for everything. Next visit they say it needs to be replaced ....no way that 5k later it needs that service. They agree. Secondly they damaged my skid plate and never received the replacement one they supposedly ordered. Almost a year later I tell them at my oil change I'm still waiting. "The manager says oh I'm sorry I was not the manager at the time and since it's been almost year not much we can do." I asked for the district managers contact number which he refuses. Miraculously a plate that fits my car is found and put on. Whatever I'm over them at this point, just want my car and all parts in place which I brought it in. Lastly, I get a full synthetic oil change which one employee tells me will last me 10k miles and at my last visit on 10/12 I was told no it's 7500 miles. This is terrible because I know the damage that can be caused with running a car without oil. I trusted this place to give me the most accurate information to help maintain my car. Please do not go here if you're reading this. Please!! Despite me being screwed by this location on multiple occasions (fool me twice++ shame on ME), I reluctantly go because it is convenient and super close to where I live. This morning I showed up for 8AM to avoid chaos. I got pulled right in. A "manager" with dreadlocks came to my door and told me my 2 year old vehicle has zero coolant in it and it's detrimental to the vehicle operation. I explained that the car is 2 years old so I'm hesitant to his up-sell. He calmed my nerves and explained how dealerships put "bottom of the line" products in their vehicles and that is why it dried up. I asked how much it would be and he said "$130 and I will throw on a coupon."Fine. Let's just do it. Come time to pay- my total was way higher than it should be so I asked how much it was for the coolant/flush that the manager upselled me, and he said $159.99. $159.99 is way higher than "$130 and throwing on a coupon"?? So I ask to talk to that "Manager" again and he said he "never said that" !!!! Yes!! Literally said he never said that. Like I was making this up? In the. End, another manager- an awesome person - calm cool and collected, came over and handled my bill and got the total down. He was AMAZING and shouldn't be working amongst these other sleezeballs. The poor guy is trying to run a decent business and has a manager standing around ruining it for him. Funny because the upsell "manager" said they called him in to this location to help the store because of its "bad ratings". All he is doing is ADDING to them. I will never be back here again. Absolutely Do Not Recommend The East Longmeadow Jeffy Lube!! As a Hispanic, I'm ashamed on how many of my own are behaving even in buisnesses. What an emberaccing reputation my race has in this city. While its convenient to pull up & get an oil change, air filters or wiper blades replaced quickly, what isn't convenient is the attitude encountered from the person running the show. "OMG... seriously" with eyes rolling is what I got when getting a discount coupon. Not good, and then I was told, "No, No! We don't got time for that! What are you looking for man! I have to get you out of here right now man!" With a fully displeased look. At no point did I say a word to this guy, literally, only to the other employee who was being very nice. And this guy even though their was absolutely no one in line waiting, kept telling me their no time for that and told another employee, "Ok, let's get this one out of here!" At that point I stated, "Hold on, their a coupon code I would like to use and the other employee has my card". His response was, "OMG (in Spanish) ok, ok, what do you want, I'll give 10%, will that make you happy, let's go! Give this guy 10% and let's get him out here!" Their was 2 employees who were very professional, but that was it. The one directing them was simply ghetto. Professionalism and good manners seems to be a lost art, especially when under the control of very shady characters. This city overall was never the best and always plagued with nonsense. I went to Jiffy Lube East Longmeadow to get an oil change for my 2019 GMC Acadia . I have a broken ankle and I'm unable to walk any distance so I couldn't leave my car . They started the service and realized after draining the oil and damaging the oil filter that they didn't have the correct oil filter . They told me my car was too new and people usually have the oil change done at the dealership as the reason for not having the filter ( BS ). I sat in my car for over an hour without any heat . i went to this location for just an oil change. my car ran and drove perfectly until one morning when i has blue smoking come out of my exhaust. i could not drive over 20 mph. check engine was blinking. come to find out due to the overfill of oil, lots of oil got into my spark plugs causing all 4 cylinders to misfire. i HIGHLY recommend to NOT go here. read more

Where do I start. This will be a long one. I went to Jiffy Lube to get my car inspected yesterday. It failed for the emergency brake. The woman (rudely) told me that "the ebrake must hold at 1,200 to 1,500 RPM and it is pulling at less than 1." I took my failed inspection sticker and my sorry self up the street to Colonial Auto (I just wrote this guy a wonderful review!) and he fixed it. But, he also told me that my ebrake was NOT pulling at less than 1, it was actually not pulling until 1,700 RPMs and that it 100% should have passed the first time. Now this guy has a certified inspection repair shop so he knows what he is doing. Anyway, he adjusted it just to be safe, and I went back to Jiffy Lube. When I went back to Jiffy Lube, I counted at least 6 workers standing around--I really think there were 8, but definitely 6--so I thought my car would be looked at quickly. That was not the case. I was told there was another inspection in front of me. Ok, that is fine. Except, I watched them bring that car in for an oil change and mine sat outside while at least 3 workers continued to stand around doing nothing. The inspection bay was empty the whole time. After they finished the woman's oil change, they inspected her car and got her on her way. Finally, my inspection began. They only had to test the e-brake, which still took them 10 minutes. It passed. I am most disappointed with the unnecessary wait and the fact that the other garage said it was fine in the first place. It ended up costing me an extra $25 to get the e-brake looked at and adjusted just in case. read more

I came to Jiffy Lube hoping for a quick and inexpensive oil change, and what I got ended up costing me over $1000. They offered to top off my fluids for me, and I thought it was a nice gesture so I allowed it. They, however, mistakenly put power steering fluid into where the brake fluid goes. This mistake ruined my brakes and I had to get them completely redone. When I called them to speak with the manager he was less than helpful and took zero responsibility for their actions, claiming that "they knew what they were doing". I quickly called the district manager for the FL Roberts company, who was incredibly rude on the phone and once again would not take responsibility for anything and spoke to me like I was the one at fault and that I had no idea what I was talking about. I have never received such poor service at any vehicle service place before, and I tell everyone I speak to to stay far far away from Jiffy Lube before they end up in the same predicament that I was. read more

Really disappointing. Wanted to support a local franchise but their staff's lack of knowledge has now cost me thousands in repairs. Upon leaving after an oil and filter change my car stalled numerous times. Went back and it turns out they didn't reconnect O2 sensors in the engine. Initially thought it was a simple mistake until I went to turn on my heating/ac units and was greeted with a terrible grinding sound coming from cabin air filter. Turns out they also didn't know that you can't just tear out the air filter in my make and model and because they didn't first put the car's venting into recirculation mode they destroyed the recirculation actuators and the cabin air filter housing. I didn't mind the upsell for the filters in the moment but am seriously regretting it now. 1 out of 5 stars would not recommend. read more

I wrote that the manager, inspector, and mechanic were all professional, kind, and responsible in this work but that I was worried about the response from the corporate where I needed a little help. I wasn't just pleasantly surprised- but thrilled. I spoke in person with the franchisee and someone from the corporate office. They were both helpful and they took care of my issue with a check arriving today. I wasn't happy about what happened with my truck, but everyone from from the store to the franchisee to corporate was outstanding. They failed to attach my air induction hose after taking out my air filter even though they knew they were out of stock and couldn't replace it. I had to wait 38 minutes just for an inspection and there were no cars in line, or in the bay. Ridiculous that I had to wait that long. Only see 6 people doing nothing. Like wdf? Then when I come out of waiting I come over to ask "What's the hold up?" The mechanic tells me the inspector is on lunch break, but there is no sign saying the inspector is on break or any indication. Told me to wait 15 mins. So I'm like "Okay, I'll wait" -15 minutes pass- Still sitting in my car for 30 minutes now to total up to an hour. Are you kidding me?? Who the hell does this to a customer? So 5 more minutes I wait then the inspector comes out to finally check my car out and test it out like any other inspection. It's ridiculous. I didn't need to wait that long and there was 4 cars waiting since god knows how long. That's too long and the employees don't seem to have anything to do. So why do you train these types of workers who don't do their jobs and slack off? That's a turn off for customers. Not many people have the patience for this type of work. The place to go if you don't care about your car at all. A bunch of idiots work there who know nothing about cars. The turn around is so high you will never see the same person twice. Make sure you check to see they put the caps back on your oil and coolant before you drive away. They never actually lube any part of the chassis. Constant up selling by staff trying to get you to buy every service they provide. Don't even bother with an inspection there. They are the worst ball busters around. I love their dramatic scare tactics pulling you out of the waiting room to discuss their findings like they found something major with your car, and it turns out to be a bulb out. My mother who has always gone to the Nissan dealership to have her Altima's oil changed decided based on my recommendation to go to Jiffy Lube in E.Longmeadow as it's so close and convenient. Big mistake. She was completely taken advantage of. She never asked what type of oil she wanted. Nothing was explained to her about different types and costs. She simply said she needed a regular oil change. She went to pay and for a single oil change they charged her $99. It was for the synthetic blend that they decided she should have but never asked. I attempted to work things out over the phone with the manager, I believe his name is John. At first he seemed very understanding and said he would call me back after speaking with "the guys". Upon his return call he was arrogant and obstinate and decided to take his "guy's" word of my mother's. He told me he would pass me for an additional $75 for his pocket on top of the regular price. Waste of money. My husband usually has our mechanic do routine maintenance on the car, but he simply didn't have time before leaving for a trip to upstate NY. When we got to Jiffy Lube, the mechanic (?) showed us a price list -- an oil change using regular oil was around $50. My husband said the car needed synthetic oil. The mechanic said it would cost more, so my husband asked, "how much more?" The mechanic told us to drive into the garage and he would go over pricing in greater detail -- we thought nothing of this since there was a light rain. We drove into the garage and were told that an oil change using synthetic oil would cost $100 (double the price of a "normal" oil change). My husband told the mechanic he expected to pay more; but definitely not double. He told the mechanic to forget about the oil change, and that we'd take our car somewhere else to be serviced. TOO LATE. THEY HAD ALREADY DRAINED THE OIL OUT OF THE CAR. We were pretty much held hostage at Jiffy Lube -- we couldn't drive the vehicle with no oil. And all of this was done BEFORE we even agreed to pricing. They ended up discounting the fee by $15 (but wouldn't honor our $10 coupon). It was a HUGE disappointment. On top of this, they tried selling us unnecessary products and services. It should be illegal to drain the oil out of someone's car before coming to an agreement on price -- and to top it off, we had no idea anyone had even started working on the car because the mechanics are in the basement -- you can't even see them! We had our inspection done here and it failed. After making the necessary repairs we've made several attempts to have it re-inspected at this location and have been given different reasons why they can't do the inspection. The first one was that the only person who could do inspections quit. Then the next attempt was that the only person who could do the inspections called out sick. The most recent reason was that their internet service was down and they don't know when they'll be able to do inspections again. Why offer the service if they can rarely do it? Why do they only have one person who can do inspections at any given time? So the one person can't take any days off or take any vacation time? read more

I just returned home after going there for an oil change. I got there at 3:30, they close at 4. They had one car in Bay 2 getting an oil change and the others were empty. I asked if they could do the oil change and the employee wouldn't give me a direct answer. He said, "I don't know. We close at 4. We have to clean all our stuff up. I don't know. We can try. We can't stay past 4...." and continued repeating those kind of comments. I asked directly if they could or could not change the oil. He again said he would "try." I don't know how you "try" to do an oil change. You do it or not. I could not sit there for a half hour only to be told they wouldn't do it nor was I confident that they would do a thorough job. Been here a few times. They have cameras so you can watch your car being serviced. I watched the guy under my car rip off the cover to where they drain the oil. I went over to the manager and he denied that it happened. I told him that I saw it and will show him. Cliff notes: Jiffy lube is awful, they broke the heater core looking for the cabin air filter that they were told not to service, and we didn't get the car back for 18 days. This was the worst retail/service experience I have EVER been a part of. My fiancé took her car to the East Longmeadow jiffy lube for an oil change. She informed the woman behind the counter that she only wanted an oil change, nothing more. When she was asked if she wanted her engine air filter replaced, she said "No." When she was asked if she wanted her cabin air filter replaced, she also said "No." She was then called into the garage by the technician Tim that was doing the oil change. He told her that while he was checking the cabin air filter, he broke her heater core, and now her car was leaking coolant inside of the interior. This is when she called me. I drove over to the shop at 4:30PM, and talked to Tim, I asked to talk to the manager, and that's when Tim tells me that he is the manager... I asked him why he was inside of the car looking at the cabin filter when my fiancé told them she did not want the cabin filter service, he just kind of shrugged his shoulders and said the woman at the desk told him to do it. I also asked him how he cracked the heater core, he shrugged his shoulders and mumbled an answer that I couldn't hear/understand. At this point we went into the lobby, and I am plenty angry with how we are being treated. He tells us we can have a rental car, but we will have to go to west Springfield to pick it up. It is 5PM by this point and I inform him that we have to be at Sais school by 6PM, and ask if he can get a rental somewhere in springfield. He shrugs his shoulders again and says that's the only rental I can get you. I then inform him that we do not have time to go to west springfield and be to Sabis by 6PM and we CAN NOT BE LATE. I then explained that my cousin had been killed in a car accident on the night before thanksgiving, and that the Sabis basketball and cheerleading teams were doing a tribute to my cousin. I received another shrug of the shoulders and was told that's how it is going to be. Just so you know, we were a half hour late to the Sabis game. The car was sent to a repair shop in west springfield. That shop decided that the job was too large, and they didn't have time to do it, so they sent the car to Mazda. 18 days after Tim the manager damaged the heater core we got the car back. I asked Mazda about detailing the car so it didn't smell like anti freeze, they told me that they didn't think jiffy lube would pay for that and they vacuumed the coolant that was spilled. Well on the drive home, the coolant smell was so bad that we both had a headache and felt nauseous from a 30 minute drive, and had to drive with the windows partially down on a 25 degree day. When I called Tim to tell him about the problem and that we would need it to be detailed he didn't even know that the car had been sent to Mazda to be repaired. He called the small shop in west springfield and called me back to tell me that they did not do detailing. This is when I informed him that the car went to Mazda to be repaired. I then told him that we needed the car to be cleaned properly at Balise Mazda, he gave me the run around about it until he realized that no wasn't an acceptable answer. Mazda did detail the car, the smell is no longer nauseating, but the carpet on the passenger side still smells like coolant. Tim not even knowing where the car was repaired just sums up Jiffy Lube's lack of caring, compassion, and empathy for the customer. Tim did not once check on the status of my fiancé's car, not one person called myself or her(they had both of our numbers) after the car was taken into the repair shop. I went into the East long meadow location this morning with a very bad oil leak. The staff working was extremely nice and welcoming and took a look at my car even though they do not do repairs there. They took the time to talk to me about what they thought the problem was and also gave me suggestions as to where I could go to fix it. On top of it they cleaned up my engine and put more oil in so I could get where I needed to go next.
