Purposely went there 10 minutes before they opened because I needed to get the oil changed and back to my daughter before she left on a trip. Little did I know the managers friends car would already be in the shop and even after they opened, most of the attention was being paid to her friends car. When they finally did get to my car, (20 minutes after opening) they were still slow. Being first in line I certainly was not ready to spend 45 minutes to get an oil change. Next time I'll go to a different Jiffy Lube. Or to a car dealer, I think they could have gotten me out faster. So much for quick. Oh and they left the seats dirtier then when I brought the car in. Stay away! Yesterday I went there for an over priced oil change, wasn't complaining about it because I needed it. Gets off work at 9 PM, now mind you I work in Elmhurst but lives on the South side of Chicago. I make it to the Dan Ryan Expressway and just as I am passing 18th street I hear a terrible noise coming from under my car. At this point, Im thinking I had a blow out. I get off the expressway, check my tires, their fine. Look under the car and I can see something hanging from under my car. I don't know what it is but I know something is hanging. Now I have to take the streets home. A 30 minute drive turns into an hour and a half because I can only do 10-15 mph but I made it home and very thankful. This morning at 8:30 AM, I call the Elmhurst jiffy lube and Bart answers the phone. I explain to him the situation and he tells me I would have to bring the car to them and they will gladly fix it. I guess he wasn't listening...Im on the other side of town but he understood and told me that was the only solution. I asked him if they could partner with another jiffy lube close by me. He said no but I could definitely do that. I hung up and started searching. I found a jiffy lube to take my car to. On my way there I called back asking to speak to the manager but a female answered and wanted to assist me. I explain to her the situation she first tells me that jiffy lubes are franchised and owned by different people so he couldn't just send me to another location but I can definitely do that myself and she would be more than happy to accommodate me on my next visit. After breaking down to her three times that there wouldn't be another visit so they can keep that but I felt I shouldn't have had to call any other jiffy lube to fix their mistake. I felt they should've been making the calls on my behalf. I went in circles with her until I told her to let me speak to a manager as I originally asked for. Omar the assistant gets on the line. I asked him if he knew what was going on he said he did. He pretty much repeated what the last two people said and again I asked him, how was I to drive my car in that state. He than told me to take it to another jiffy lube and he will reimburse me for whatever they charge me to fix the piece. I asked him about how much would that be..he don't know it depends on the bolts needed. At this point Im frustrated and I tell him just that we both began to go back and forth in loud voices and I asked him to speak to his manager he said he wasn't in. I asked for his name and number he told me he couldn't give me that information, it was against their policy but he gave me the corporate office number while whispering to someone I wouldn't listen. FYI Omar, I listen very well. Your entire staff uncluding you, seems to have a problem with listening and you all definitely need some better training and people skills. I will be reaching out to your corporate office and they can give me your manager's name and number, I wonder if its against their policy. read more

Don't bring your car here! I came in because my car died down the road after I had visited a different Jiffy Lube location for a routine oil change about 20 minutes earlier. The employee first refused to help me because I had just been at a different location. After I insisted for over 5 minutes, he told me there was a serpentine belt loose and directed me to a different auto repair place down the street. It turns out I needed a new motor. Terrible customer service, and the employee had no idea what he was taking about! Unacceptable! read more

Fast, efficient and courteous! Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and was told there was about a 15 minute wait. After sitting down in the waiting area someone came in to speak to me and find out what I needed done. The next thing I knew they came back in and told me they were all done. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want, they told me what they had inspected, and simply gave me my options regarding the types of oil. First class from the moment I walked in. I told them I had very limited time and asked if I could be in & out in 15 min. The service guy took my keys and then the store manager(Dave ?) took my info to be entered into the computer. I watched them do a quick vacuum & clean the windows. This is by far the best Jiffy Lube in the area. They are all kind and knowledgable. They don't try to take advantage and sell you on things your car doesn't need. As a female, I think mechanics do try to push more on you, they think you don't know any better. I had such a great experience here yesterday! I had an emergency brake issue and as soon as I pulled up I was greeted by Zulma. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me a quote and even encouraged me to call around in the area and "do my homework." It ended up that jiffy lube had the best deal for what I needed done. They also were able to take my car and start working on it right away. They found some other issues while working on the car and fixed those for me as well. She also gave me a coupon code which was very helpful. I sat on a comfy picnic bench outside and worked on my computer using the free WiFi for the 2 hours that my car was being fixed. When I had problems after leaving, I called the shop back that evening and spoke to Ricardo. He told me to stop by and took a look at the car himself, diagnosed the problem, and fixed the issue free of charge due to the problems that arose and the inconvenience it caused me to come back later that day. Thank you to both of you for resolving my issues, that could have caused much more of an inconvenience, all while being kind and friendly throughout. Been here a couple of times and was pleased enough to return. Walked into a crowded waiting room and spoke with an employee at the counter about getting some $175 worth of maintenance work done. No problem, needed the work. Waited patiently and was then told to pull my vehicle into the bay. I'm ready to pull into the bay and another vehicle pulls in ahead of me. An older, smallish, man gets out of his car, takes a tire out of the back seat, rolls it to a Jiffy Lube employee, and another employee starts raising this car on the lift. The "intruder" and the employee walk into the office area where customers don't go. Ok, I'm civilized; I park my van, walk into the store and speak with the manager. I explained the situation and this great arbiter of right and wrong tells me it is first come first served. I futilely stated that I'd waited my turn, was told to pull my vehicle into the bay, and it was obvious that this other person was an employee or a friend or family member of an employee. Sometimes it's just not worth it - just do the right thing and leave. Will absolutely never return to this Jiffy Lube and, based on reading other customer reviews, I doubt this business will be around much longer. read more

Haven't been here in 6 years (as Jose informed me from their computer records). I'll be going back. First, let me say that I HATE dealing with car dealers or car repair places. Jose made it easy today. He met me at my vehicle outside, opened my car door, then the office door, and even fixed me a great cup of coffee from their single cup maker. He kept me informed of progress, and needed maintenance, but did not try to up-sell me. He even gave me a great deal when I ok'd replacing both cabin and engine filters. Upon a timely checkout, he gave me a $10 coupon for future visit. He was equally friendly to the other 3 customers that were there ahead of and after me. read more

I have taken my cars here for the past 10 years. There was an older man that used to check you in, I think the owner. He was great, as were the mechanics. I just took my car newer in for an oil change instead of the dealership for the first time in a year. The older man was not there. Nor was any of the mechanics that used to be there. A young woman checked me in, she seemed overwhelmed. I looked into the garage and the mechanics were all running back and fourth and seemed to not know exactly how to run a shop. My 20min oil change was 1 hour and 15mins. There were cars in the bays but they were able to put mine in as well. I was telling a friend about it, she recently took her car in and her car was leaking oil. She took it back after noticing it 4 days later, they claimed it was not leaking but oil was spilled on the inside and was dripping. I don't believe that, I think they didn't tighten the bolt. I don't think I'll be going back which is upsetting because it's close to home. read more

Went in this morning around 10:50 for a regular oil change. Was greeted by Atlas who was very nice and welcoming. There were two men in the waiting area when I walked in. A few minutes later another man drove up and I saw Atlas greet him and bring him to the waiting area. The 2 men that were in there before me were handled by Jose. Both were offered discounts by Jose on their oil change choice in addition to using coupons on their phones. Another customer drove up during this time and did not come to the waiting area but was seen in the garage area by Jose right away. I figured that he may have had an issue from earlier or something like that so I didn't think anything of it. Now here is where I take issue, the man who came in AFTER me was taken care of before me for the same service. Jose seemed to have known him as he asked if he wanted "the same as last time". He didn't even leave his seat or get checked in by computer. Even if he was a regular, not sure why he would get priority over someone waiting longer than him. When my turn approached Jose called me up and asked me if I wanted the same service as I had in the past (I used this Jiffy Lube and other locations before). I said yes and asked about the upgrade like he offered the others and he said he didn't know what I meant. I then was handed print outs of recommended services for my car- I didn't ask for them nor did any other customer receive them! I definitely felt Jose was speaking to me in a condescending manner and I was insulted. I know he has to go through recommended services but why did he assume I needed print outs and why would he make me wait longer than others? The way he spoke to me when I was saying no, talking about manufacturer recommendations etc. like I was clueless! Then when I asked him about a rear differential leak he blew me off and said they don't deal with that there. All in all a HORRIBLE visit and I will never return. I'm pretty disappointed because I came from the city to this particular location based off of my previous experience here. As a woman I felt he treated me disrespectfully not even apologizing about the long wait (about an hour).He had to know I noticed him taking the guy before me too! It all would have been different if he handled checking me in and out differently but he didn't. I'm sorry I don't need your printouts and I don't need condescending mechanics to ruin my day. Atlas was great but not great enough for me to return. Women steer clear. read more

Since my job relocated me to Elmhurst, I've been going to this Jiffy Lube to get oil changes. It's been about 6 or 7 years now, and yesterday was the first time I had a bad experience. Management must have changed. I saw all new faces and what should've taken about 10-15 minute oil change, took 40 min. There were lines at each bay. People were complaining in the lobby about having to pop their own hood, explaining that they had keyless cars, etc... People, including myself, were not happy! The young guy who came for my keys (I have keyless entry for my car), went to turn my car on to move it but came back with my keys but was not done with my oil change. I told him "you're going to need my keys to move my car around from the bay to the front." He responds (with a dumbfounded look on his face) "oh yeah". After paying, they said it would only take about 5 more minutes. It took about 10 more min. Then they sped around from the back to the front of the bldg with my car! Unreal. I was not happy with my service at all. This was the first time I was unhappy but let's just say I won't be going back. I highly suggest you avoid this location. read more
