This was one of the most frustrating service experiences I've had with a business. I brought my vehicle to Jiffy Lube for a simple Oil change, expecting professional care and basic accountability. Instead, my car was returned with damage that was not there when I dropped it off. Discovering that alone was upsetting, but what followed made the situation even worse. Less than 24 hours after getting my car serviced, my radiator and engine were no longer operable. When I raised the issue to the Jiffy Lube General Manager, I expected a company that values its customers to at least show concern and work toward a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The response I received lacked the level of responsibility, professionalism, and customer care that should come with handling someone else's property. Leaving your car with a service provider requires trust. You assume the business will treat your vehicle with care and stand behind their work if something goes wrong. Based on my experience, that trust was not respected. For anyone considering using this facility, I strongly recommend documenting your vehicle thoroughly before service--take clear photos and inspect everything before leaving the lot. I wish I had taken these precautions beforehand. read more

When I arrived at 10 am, there was one car being worked on. The man who greeted me and checked me in was very kind. Perhaps every Jiffy Lube is different because I'm used to the Corpus Christi, Texas location immediately offering the option to wait in their lobby, which has comfortable seating, a big TV, and an instant coffee machine. I had to ask if there was a lobby, and when I was shown it, it was nothing like Corpus Christi's. However, I'm glad I didn't wait in my car as it took over an hour to complete the oil change. I was shown my filter, which looked a little dusty to me, and was told I should get a new one. When I declined, the kind man kept awkwardly saying, "That's okay, no problem," as if he thought I believed I was causing an issue. I was also told I needed a tire rotation, which made sense since I hadn't gotten one during the last oil change. The man explained why tires needed to be rotated, which felt unnecessary and a bit patronizing, but it ended up being a moot point since the bay needed for the rotation was in use, and I wasn't willing to wait another hour or more. In conclusion, the fancy Corpus Christi location with its down-to-earth staff has spoiled the Fleming Island location for me, and I plan on trying out another company. Also, it's very kind of the Fleming Island location to offer a 15% military discount. I'm learning it's true about "everything is bigger in Texas" as their military discount is 20%. read more

After showing the service tech my last receipt with conventional oil, they decided, without my input or approval, to add synthetic oil and charge me $103 instead of the $58 I paid last time. After talking with others in my area, I found out this is common practice for this location. Do not go, use a dealership or anywhere else for that matter. Don't give this location any business! These technicians definitely know what they are doing -- they were very attentive, responsive, and courteous -- their customer service skills are bar-none. My check engine light was on and I knew I needed a new battery. Chris offered to run another check to be sure I didn't just need a tune up. Turns out I needed a new battery and spark plugs. He suggested another repair based on his observations. He gave me a breakdown of everything and the price before starting any repairs. This made me feel good to know exactly what was happening. I chose which repairs I wanted to get done today and Chris did not pressure me into getting everything done. He even offered to do an oil change after all the repairs. Jiffy Lube website states, "If Jiffy Lube® technicians determine that your vehicle battery isn't performing within the manufacturer's recommendations, we'll replace it with a new one." Not true. Purchased battery from Jiffy Lube. Return for battery check. Technician confirms battery is bad and under warranty, but "we changed vendors and you will need to deal with Autozone, we can't help you." When I asked for managers phone number, "We don't have the manager's phone number." Really. That's a red flag when the manager is in hiding. Pattern of bad business practices. I have had other issues with this Jiffy Lube. I stopped using them. read more

This place definitely deserves 5 stars. I've never take any car to Jiffy Lube prior to this visit. I had always viewed them as a "knock off" oil change location that was sub-par compared to dealerships. This shows how naive I was before this. I recently purchased a fun car when we moved to FL - an '05 Audi A4 Cabriolet 1.8T CVT. everything was great until I needed an oil change. I was aware that foreign luxury cars require more expensive maintenance, and I did see a price increase of ownership by having to buy premium gas vs regular, but when I called around to get oil change prices I was getting quotes between $120-140. The Audi dealer themselves has a special for oil/filter change for $70, but AudiJax is ~40-45 minutes away. When I called Jiffy Lube after seeing the 5 star reviews here, I was glad that I did. Not only do they regularly stock the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum/Platinum oil that the A4 requires, they also stock the filters for this car. What does that mean? Quick service and no price premiums to special order anything! After a $10 coupon, I was out the door at $88 in about 20 minutes. And now I have 7500 miles and a fluids guarantee to last me until the next oil change. The guy I worked with, Trevor I believe, was very helpful and professional, explained the differences between the two compatible oils and even recommended local places to have tires rotated (they either don't have the tools here to do my car's tires, or are not comfortable with it and don't want to mess anything up at their small shop). The place itself is small, but functional and refined. The waiting room is adequate with a TV and a few chairs - you won't have to wait long so it doesn't need to be posh. I'm very pleased with my service - I'll definitely be back next go round, especially with the $35 in mail in offers I have to use next time. read more

Yesterday, on my way to work, I noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood of my car. I quickly pulled over and thank heavens I did because smoke was coming from around the engine and oil was pouring out EVERYWHERE! I had to call my insurance company and initiate a tow truck service to the local dealership and service center. I lost 2 hours of work dealing with this fiasco and had to rent a car just to go to work (I work about 30-40 miles away). The dealership found 3 leaks - 2 from gaskets and 1 from the oil pan. They have to drop the pan and drain the BRAND NEW oil to repair everything. It will cost at least $1,750 to fix the problems, and that's not including the cost of the rental car. When I was at the Jiffy Lube last weekend, no one mentioned anything wrong with my car. I have my oil changed regularly, too. Apparently, the dealership says that the Jiffy Lube employees are paid minimum wage and are not trained to inspect the vehicle. I say they should not be in the automotive service business. I probably could have avoided this fiasco if I had been to some place like Tires Plus or Tire Kingdom - or at least paid less. I will NEVER visit a Jiffy Lube again and I'm telling everyone else I know to avoid them like the plague. If something is seriously wrong with your car and on the verge of needing repair, they are not trained to inspect for it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere where there are TRAINED mechanics. read more

WATCH OUT: I've been to this Jiffy Lube many times in the past. Most recently I brought in my wife's car for an oil change. I was told everything was great, come in anytime for free top offs, blah blah, the usual spiel they give. Afterwards, my wife was driving home from work and suddenly her car stops working and the dash lights up like a Christmas tree. I was working, so she had to pull to the side of the road at 8pm and have her 68 year old father drive 30 mins out to check the problem. He had to get in, on his back, under the car. Come to find out, the oil was bone dry. The oil filter was not tightened at all, causing all the new oil to pour out. I'm having a real mechanic look for further issues resulting from this... I will never go back here. I will never recommend going here. I will warn people from going here. This place is dangerous. When working on vehicles, you need knowledgeable professionals, even if its just an oil change (which is supposed to be Jiffy Lube's specialty). Otherwise customers can get hurt or worse... They also charged me for new antifreeze, which was also almost empty. I'm still waiting on the manager to call me back by the way...I hope corporate has a more concerned response. read more

Horrible customer service. The oil cap was left OFF during a visit to which management ARGUED that it was NOT. I DO NOT recommend this JIffy Lube to ANYONE. Took my newly purchased car to them for oil change, as I've used them in the past. 1st off they charged me $86 for the oil change, which is double what I could have got it done at dealership, which is ridiculous! Got home, pulled in driveway and my oil light came on. Got out of car and noticed oil was leaking out from bottom of my car. Called Jiffy to inform them, they sent someone to my house to see what issue was, but they couldn't find leak. They told us that they had drained the oil thru dip stick with some sort of syphon/vacuum, which I've never heard of before. They then stated they're not mechanics and we would need to take it to a shop to have it looked at. We decided it was probably best to let dealership service look at it ($120 diagnosis) We informed the dealership about how Jiffy stated they drained old oil, and every mechanic in the shop replied with "WTF"! They looked at it and said that literally every seal on engine was leaking. Mind you we had absolutely no leaks prior to getting oil changed. The estimate totalled $3900 due to entire engine needing resealed. I was flabbergasted to say the least. The dealership said that the way they drained oil could have caused seals to mess up. The service dept reiterated this to Jiffy, but they basically told them and us to pound sand, stating they're not liable!! So now I'm responsible for this repair. I'm absolutely pissed and will be letting everyone know how Jiffy conducts business! Stay away!! Time to call news stations and get the word out. Check their reviews in multiple places, FB, Google ect as others have had issues with them. read more

I called for prices on an oil change and Jacob told me everything they did and all the costs... then he told me he had a better price than my online coupon! Later that day I went in, best place for this service ever! Very nice people, clean, and they did a thorough job of changing my oil, check all the fluids, filters, vacuuming inside, and testing everything the dealer did but at a much lower price! As a senior woman I am glad I found a place to get maintenance work done without getting charged double at the dealership! I will return for my work at Jiffy Lube in Fleming Island. I took my F150 truck in for a oil change on 3/1/20. Couple of hours later I left fresh market and my truck stalled trying to get on to 220. Truck would not idle. I caused a traffic jam, but was able to rev up the motor enough to pull over. Couldn't find anything obvious under the hood. Tried for 45 minutes to get the motor running. While wife was calling for a tow, I decided to call Jiffy Lube and ask if there's anything they touch I should be looking for. Told me to check the cable that connects to air intake filter. Sure enough, not fully connected. Ran normal once connected, went to Jiffy to get the "check engine" light reset. Rep said they can't reset. I asked who would pay to have it reset. Tech overhead conversation got his computer and reset the light. 3 weeks prior, my wife took her QX56 there for an oil change. They only hand tightened the oil drain plug, had oil puddle on garage floor the next day. She noted this on a customer survey. Couple of years ago, Jiffy did the same thing to my Ford F150 truck, forgot to tighten drain plug. Be very careful getting your car serviced there. I won't be back, 3 strikes. read more
