100% scam. This happened about 3 months ago. I went here to get my wife's oil changed for her truck. They stated her breaks need to be done. It was odd 'cause I did the breaks less than 2 years ago. I did the front one's, back one's didn't need to be replaced. We don't haul anything or really ride the breaks. So I went and checked the front breaks, they were basically still brand new. For real, the front breaks when compared to new break pads showed little loss to the old break pads. Back breaks still have a least another year or so on them. Wish I could give 0 stars because that is the help I got there. Went in for a check engine diagnostic. When my car was done Ashley, who obviously hates her job called me over and said basically nothing to me the whole time except sign here. Then thrust a paper at me and took me to my car. No explanation or codes for my light. No problem, she wasn't that bright anyhow I figured one of the techs would tell me the codes. Nope walked out side and they all shouted "have a good day" at me and didn't stop working. Oh, well. It MUST be on the paper they gave me. Nope. I called them to find out, the guy that answered the phone said, "we don't have a record of the codes. Come back and we will re-do it." Are you kidding me? I had a great customer experience yesterday at Jiffy Lube in Folsom. I brought my 2012 Honda Odyssey in for an oil change and really appreciate all Ronny did to meet my needs. First, he greeted me professionally and treated me well during the entire visit. Second, he got me all kinds of discounts on the services I needed. His prices were about half what I was quoted at the dealership, so I had him do some of my 60K mile services such as transmission and cooling system fluid replacement. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Ronny is the manager-in-training and showed me he has what it takes to be the manager of the franchise. He runs the place with military precision and really seems to enjoy his job. It was refreshing to find someone like Ronny who takes his job seriously and works so professionally at it. This place was awful. I went there to get my oil changed and when they gave me an estimate, they told me my car takes full synthetic oil. I know it takes a blend because that's what I have always put in it. The guy, Trevor, proceeded to argue with me and told me it only takes full synthetic. When he rang me up at the end it came out to $130. I thought that was outrageous for an oil change but I had to pay it. Once I showed my dad the receipt he told me they are up selling their oil and he brought my car manual to the store to show them it they put the wrong oil in it just to take advantage of me. Frank asked me to stay inside and not leave, because it would be so quick. I pressed him to be realistic, because I had local errands to run. I was hesitant because the tech outside told me it'd be "a long time." Frank assured me THREE times in a row that it would take "less than 20 minutes." Literally said it three times and that "if we were going any faster we'd be wearing roller skates." At the moment, I'm at 61 minutes. Had Frank not blown smoke up my butt, I would've spent the extra $99 to replace my serpentine belt. Please respect your customer's time. Being friendly counts less than being truthful and realistic. This is not the normal place I take my car but I was a time crunch. I brought my car in for a basic oil change and they tried to upsell me on everything under the sun. My car is fairly new and in great condition so this is obviously a sleazy move. The guy at front counter was very rude. He did not seem to want to be there. While in the lobby, another employee told me coffee and water were available. The coffee pot was empty so I asked the guy at the front counter if there was more. This made him a little more irritable and he complained the cops were taking all the coffee. Huh??? When I paid my bill, sliding my credit card at the terminal, the front counter guy reached over and pressed buttons on the terminal...something I'm supposed to do. He did it so fast I couldn't see what was on the screen and what the buttons were being pressed for. What did I just unknowlingly agree to? With credit card fraud being big business these days, this is not only extremely rude, but dangerous for the consumer. I got out of there with a bill of $133 for a simple oil change, coolant top off and a cabin air filter. I was told that vacuuming the interior was part of the service but I actually had to ask them to do this, especially since they left my car interior dirtier than when I brough it in, (dirt, small leaves, and oily fingerprints). I needed to get the plugs and wires changed on my car and this place was open on a Sunday. My husband goes in and they need to order the parts - no big deal - they said to bring it in at 8 AM the next day. I bring the car in 8 AM sharp the next day, walk in, and greet the front desk woman with a chipper good morning. No smile, but a flat hi and a what are you hear for? I tell her and she's typing away on the computer and tells me her mechanic does not come in till 9. I'm slightly annoyed because it is a 2+ hour job and I have to work at 11. Oh well. I tell her about my 15% off coupon my husband discussed with the guy the day before and before I could finish my sentence or even looking at my coupon, she tells me it is not the right coupon and it is for certain jobs - not including mine. I'm like uhm it has absolutely no restrictions on it and lists this business address on the coupon. She replied with well, we can TRY but I can't guarantee it will work. I was so irritated with her snotty attitude I said I wasn't impressed with her customer service and asked for my keys back. I went to Folsom Auto Center where they immediately told me my car does not have wires, but coils! What a joke! Now what pissed me off - my truck is white, and was returned to me covered in black grease. I didn't notice until I got home but the door and fenders have black finger prints. The door jamb is black. My paid 120 for a diagnosis on an 04 Honda CRV because the car wouldn't ignite when starting.the engine. They did not find a problem, told her it may be a battery issue with starting in the cold weather- even though they could start it. She drove home and the car started having problems with it again. Took it to another local mechanic who was able to run a full diagnostic on it, Jiffy Lube called me back regarding my complaint in a timely manner. The manager was a prick who in his mind justified everything. They reviewed the battery test. Without seeing the results of the test myself, I have to take him at his word. But I don't trust it. I can even live with a new battery. But now, they charged me $46.00 for installing it. WHAT?. They credited the diagnosis (which you can find the tool on amazon for $25.00 btw and do it yourself looking up the codes online.) and then they were now charging me $46.00 flipping bucks to install a battery. WHAT????? Buyer beware. Never will I go back to this place or any Jiffy Lube. $83.00 for a battery and $46.00 to install it. Do yourselves a favor, go down the street around the corner and get one at Autozone for less than the price of a battery at Jiffy, and get yourself a credit for your old battery. Then, have Autozone install it for free. They will check your battery for free as well. So mad, I want to rip my battery out of the car and throw it through JL's bay windows like the old commercial for America's Tire Co. You will never get my business again and I will post negative comments. at this point. Took advantage of my wife. Basically, we have a new battery- the old one may or may not have needed to really be replaced but not worth it. They're fast, no "lost my bolt and car grinded to a stop 10 miles away" kind of experiences. Go there at least 1-2 times a year. They stopped doing the %15 Intel discount which was disappointing for me. But, for $75 you get your synthetic oil change and no fuss. It costs about the same at the dealer. DON'T BOTHER. Reading the 5 star reviews makes me rolls my eyes all the way to the back of my head, especially the reviewer that happens to know everyones name and got UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE AND DISCOUNTS. Believe me when I say, the negative reviews are on point. I went here last week to get an oil change on my wife's car. Despite the negative reviews, I went there for the convenience. I get there, pulled up the driveway, no one greeted me, didn't know what to do until someone finally came and told me to pull up to the first one. He asked what I wanted. I said just an oil change. He said it'll take about 45mins to an hour. I said that was fine. He then walks off. At other locations, they'll tell you to at least leave your keys in the car then walk you inside, show you where the water and coffee are and that someone will help me out shortly. NOT HERE. I go inside and just sat there for about 30 mins. Someone (guy with a short beard) finally comes to me and the lady next to me and gave us our estimates. Didn't say a word. I was NEVER checked in. The estimate was what was done to my car previously at another location. Another 10 mins later, the same guys tells me they made a mistake on the car and that they were fixing it. I assumed, they did another car first by mistake because the lady next to me that came in way later was ready to get her car. I sat there for another 10-15 minutes until he said my car was done and walked off. I didn't know what to do so I just walked up to the counter and another guy just looked clueless like why was I there. He eventually rings me up and the final price was $10 more. I asked what was done as I was never informed. I asked him if it was the same as my last visit, he just said it was the same. At this point, I was at my 100% annoyance level. They could've easily put any and everything in the car. He assured me that it was the same oil so I just paid. NO UPSALE THIS VISIT I GUESS? He then walks me out to my car, closes the hood without showing me the dipstick, said goodbye and left. Upon inspection, there were oil splatters on the hood, engine, and headlights. I just wiped it off, but you would think that that was their job to do! Never again coming back here. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, WASN'T INFORMED ON WHAT WAS BEING DONE, OVERPRICED (still not sure if what they did was what they claimed), WENT OVER ESTIMATED TIME. I will be going to other Jiffy Lubes. These are the words that describe this Jiffy Lube branch. Every time I visit, I encounter friendly and great customer service...regardless if they are faking it (I kid). They explain everything that they do to my car. They make, but don't force, maintenance recommendations. They understand that their customers' time is important. They check tire pressure, top off all or most fluids, and vacuum your interior. I don't care for their prices much, but Jiffy Lube is so convenient and accessible for my busy schedule that the extra cash I end up paying is worth it. Tonight when I went to start my car it would not start. I suspected I had a dead battery. I work in the same shopping center as Jiffy lube so I asked them if they could test my battery. I could tell they were busy but, one of the guys saw me walking up and asked if he could help me. I told him that I thought I might need a new battery and that I had to be at a meeting on Watt at 6pm, at this time it was about 4:30. He quickly tested my battery and confirmed I needed a new one. He said he would squeeze me in and make sure he got me on the road by 5:00. Within minutes he had my car in the shop and battery replaced. I can't thank these guys enough for understanding my urgency and getting me in and out so quickly! They truly made my day! read more

She was extremely helpful, amazing customer service. By far the best Jiffy Lube around. I drive from Fair Oaks specifically to come here! The customer service is more than a step above their competitors- they set the bar! As far as the employees go, these people who work here are incredibly accommodating, always want to help you save money, and are happy, kind, and polite above all else. My car needed quite a few things done today, and as a struggling college student I'm always grateful for coupons/discounts. This store always goes above and beyond for their customers as far as applying a discount or a coupon, and never haggles you about doing more than what is necessary. I have been in this place a few times and they are normally very fast and do a good job. However this last time i came in for a oil change and tire rotation. I drove my Toyota Tundra for a few days and got a low tire pressure light. I noticed my tires have less air in them than normal. I checked the tire pressure and it had only 30psi and the other side had 25 psi. The tire says it should have 45psi. I am not sure why they let out air. I filled them up to the correct pressure and that should fix the problem. I am little concerned now. If they can't fill up a tire with air, I hope they know about oil.... I hope the guy had a bad day since i went in when the temperature was 108 outside.. All in the all.. Mistakes happen, nobody is perfect. I will go back to them again. read more

I got there with a $10 coupon and he said he got a better deal for me, and he did! His team did not just change my oil filter but it also needed air filter change. So I came here yesterday 15 minutes before closing (not the coolest thing, but I had no other time to come) and was "greeted" by Trevor, a curt employee with some serious RBF. He approaches with hands full of papers and what is clearly the contents of the cash box to tell me they can't serve me because the computers have been off for an hour and that I should come first thing in the morning (like I don't already have a dozen things to do plus work). Instead of being confrontational and rude, I decided to accept it. I had not intended to come back, but Jiffy Lube has always been good to me and I wanted to give it another shot. So I came back the next day 30 mins to close and was greeted by Morgan, a jovial gent who was polite and positive as he got the process started. He then directed me to Fermin, a kind and attentive employee who made sure I didn't have to be inconvenienced in any way. They both went above and beyond to take care of everything my car needed and even discovered some things I had no idea were wrong that had been causing me trouble for years! Just a word of advice: if you get a bad employee at Jiffy Lube, don't write off Jiffy Lube. The folks here are always super helpful, and I feel like they are honest and efficient. I've taken our two cars in a few times, and I love the results. The free top-off is very helpful for my older leaky cars. My one hesitation is the price, I might try to find a cheaper oil change next time. But you really do get what you pay for. Giving the place one star. They installed my oil filter crooked and didn't shut off my oil light. I went home and when I came out later oil was all over the ground and checked the dip stick there was no oil in it at this point, my motor could have seized or been damaged. Took it in made them fix it and clean off the oil that went all over my truck. I will never go to a jiffy lube again, will just take my vehicles to the dealership for oil change they are about 20.00 cheaper anyways. read more

This place is awesome. I went to Folsom Lube after driving out of my way to try and support a locally owned business. I called and verified over the phone they would allow me to supply my own oil but they would provide filter and labor. When I arrived at Folsom Lube I was turned away, told that the woman I talked to didn't know what she was talking about and that they don't provide that type of service. After being turned away in a questionably disrespectful way I decided to stop at your location. It was 10 mins till closing and I just wanted to know if you could provide the service, I was perfectly happy to come back the next day. Not only did the guy I talked to say you could do the service, he had me hop out of the car and check in for my oil change. Even though your bays were already filled with other cars your team, 10 mins until close took in my car for service. They ended up with my car being the last to service, about 20 mins after the hour they were done. They were quick yet thorough, and I was very impressed. I used to work in a service/retail environment, having worked in management as well as line level. I know at the end of the day closing duties and getting home to friends and family is what we all want to do, and as quickly as possible. Instead of trying to get home to their friends and family the entire team stayed after close, took car of my car, were extremely personable and very professional. There customer service is great. They're quick and get you car back to you in somewhat better condition then what it was when it went in but is that enough to get a good rating. The answer is no. I always ask them over the past few visits can you check my tire pressure and my transmission fluid. They say OK and upon checking out they mention I might need a new air filter or wiper blades soon. Anyways I go back to check my fluids about a month later and to my surprise I'm a quart low on oil, two tire are way below the PSI and i'm 5 quarts low on transmission fluid. My cars only 5 years old and its a jeep. No apparent leaks so am i being Bamboozled?? Are they bamboozling a lot of people?? read more

It's Christmas Eve and low and behold Jiffy Lube was open. I've been needing to do an oil change and decided to give it a try. They were very fast (less than 30 minutes) and I didn't have any wait time ahead of me. I was surprised, I wasn't the only one out for an oil change. They were very professional and did a great job from what I can tell. The only down side is this is very expensive compared to other places I could have gone. I would have paid less at another competitor. Because of cost I will probably try out some of the other local establishments for an oil change on one of our other cars. The service was quick and the employees were friendly, however. I failed to realize the air filter didn't come with the service, which was fine. I opted to do it myself, but when I got home to change the filter, upon inspection the hose from the air filter case to the engine intake manifold was not seated correctly! It was halfway off with the hose clamp half way on! This is something you cant excuse because it's pure laziness and if my wife was driving this with our daughter (thank god I found it) it could have had catastrophic consequences over time from what is supposed to be a routine and simple maintenance service. My wife took her car to the Folsom location, and was told she need a higher grade of oil change and was sold a filter that was not needed. She was also charged for a tire rotation that was not needed. The paperwork stated a vacuum service and window cleaning was perform which was not. After leaving her check engine light as well as tire pressure light came on , when returning to have this address the device desk stated that all happens as they are short staffed. 130.00 bucks later we will never be back .. be aware manager doesn't care!!!!!!! read more
