Disapointed. in the last 4 years, Jiffy Lube plunged in their service. They let go the female hostesses, replace them with working mechanics. They raise their prices consistently, do not have special, even for long time customers, and take customers for granted. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for a while now and I won't be coming back. First issue was a while back when they replaced my battery. I left the shop and my car completely died half way home. I got my car to run again and turned right around and went back. I explained the issue and they were kind to fix it and they apologized. I guess it's a issue that happens when you replace batteries on older cars and the idle is weird or something. Anyway, I thought about writing a review then but they did fix their mistake so no hard feelings. It happens! Second issue, several months go by and I'm due for a oil change. I go in and get a oil change, rotate the tires, and replace an air filter. Night time comes and my wife and I go out for some coffee. Getting back in the car with our coffees my car won't turn on. Won't even turn over. Completely dead. Some nice guys jumped us (as in the battery not like mugged) and I was able to drive it home only in time for the car to shut off right when we parked. This is all in the same day of getting an oil change. So the next morning I find another auto repair shop and take it in. I explain the issue and as they are looking at my engine they say, "Did you install this battery?" I replied "... no. Jiffy Lube did. It's not even a year old." They proceeded to tell me that the strap that holds the battery in place was pinching down on a lid causing it to pop open allowing acid to leak out. They did some tests to make sure it wasn't my alternator and sure enough it was just my battery that Jiffy Lube poorly installed several months ago. I had no warranty on the battery either. Now the car works fine with a new battery, but I won't be going back to Jiffy Lube. I end up spending way too much! Haha! Over the past year their customer service was nice and they did do a great job with OIL CHANGES but anything else seems to be a money pit for the customer. These guys need to be put out of business. Went there a few months ago for a standard oil change. Less than two months after that, my engine was balking, skipping, acting weird, and having tremendous difficulty drawing power and accelerating on the freeway. Brought my car to the shop for a check up. They immediately found out that my car's engine has ZERO oil left (and no, my engine had no leaks). They showed me ... NO OIL in the damned car. There was NOTHING left to even leak out into the drain pan. I've never seen anything like it. No wonder my car was straining so badly on the road. The mechanics asked, where did you have your last oil change? They said, it's obvious whoever did it did NOT change your car's oil. WHAT sort of business does this?? They haven't heard the last of me yet. I'm going to report these guys to every agency available and won't stop until they're put out of business. read more

I almost got ripped off. I pulled up and stopped in front of an empty bay, they were slow today due to the pouring rain. A guy walked out and let me know oil change service on my car would cost $89. Really?? I usually get the service done for under $30. I asked him why, he said my car requires synthetic blend. I know it doesn't...he said let's check the cap. Fine. We open the hood and check the cap it says 5W/40 a non synthetic oil. "I wouldn't put regular oil in that car" he says "it has aluminum parts". Hey if the manufacturer doesn't recommend it, synthetic oil is a waste. He offers me a regular oil change for $49. A quick aside, I was dressed a bit preppy and looked more like a mac toting designer than a wrench handy joe. Why not try to pull a fast one on me? I see your point of view buddy, but you won't be seeing any of my $$ I got my oil changed down the street for $30. Moral of the story: I know the economy is rough, if you want to raise your revenue, improve service, raise prices and charge more without BS'ing your customers. read more

Let me continue the story about my day getting a "quick and easy" oil change for my 69 Chevy P/U. After leaving Valvoline Oil Change on Colorado because their inept concept of refusing business.... see review. I had to get this done today so headed further into the Glendale hinter land to find an oil change. Low and behold a Jiffy Lube with empty bays (in hindsight , bad sign for a Saturday morning) After awkward exchanges with the JL attendant they continue the registration process to get the ball rolling, again I have never had trouble getting my classic oil change done. The employee then tells me , we can't do your oil change because we don't have the technical information to preform the service, are you fucking kidding me ? You are looking at a set up that is in auto shop class 101!!! Without hesitation my response is close the hood get out of my truck quit fucking with the inspection of tail lights I am out of here, again I do not want someone who cannot change the oil on a car that pre-dates computer technology or simple car 101. see review for the Pros at Glendale Lube Center across the street. read more

Quality: The workers at Jiffy Lube thoroughly checked everything in my car from the washer fluid to the coolant. They changed the oil in a timely manner and I didn't have to wait long at all. They washed my windows, vacuumed the interior, and topped off all of the fluids. Price: The price was extremely affordable, especially for pure synthetic. They were cheaper than the actual dealership and included more in the services. Workers: The workers were extremely professional and polite. They were both willing to help out in any way they could; exactly as service employees are expected to act. They answered all of my questions and knew what they were knowledgeable in their trade. STAY AWAY!!!! This place is a scam. Don't come here. I came by about 4 weeks ago for an oil change. The attendant said it's $40 for regular oil and $70 or $80 for synthetic. I said I'll go with the regular. Then he proceeded to tell me that he needed to check the system to see if my car "REQUIRED" synthetic. I was like, "What?" I told him that there's no need to check; I only want the regular. He responded, "It's not up to you." Then I got back into my car and went to another place. This place is a joke. Ivan and Chris are amazing!!! I'm a realtor and show properties to clients on the weekend when suddenly my coolant light turned on again... Although Mercedes would service my car, they were closed and unable to assist me until the following business day but of course as we know, business can't wait! Chris and Ivan after inspecting my coolant levels told me that it was fine and may just be a sensor issue. They filled washer fluid and sent me off. I appreciate their honesty and their help. I'm not going to get into a lot of details here. I came in on a Sunday morning as my car was dying for a lube job. They were prompt, friendly, and even had free coffee. The service as awesome to say the least. However, the price (almost $90!) for an oil change was insane. And that was after a $10 discount so normal cost would have hit triple digits. For that price, I got the standard oil change that took less than 10 minutes, two 6oz cups of coffee, a very half assed vacuumed interior, and an added 2 quartz of oil that apparently my car needs. For $60, I can go to the lexus dealership, get a new loaner for the day to cruise around in, a full wash and interior vacuum, and the same level of service. Thanks for being open on Sunday, but there's no reason to pay for a premium here unless you're desperate. read more

The Oil Change Experience: - The mechanic told me that my car ONLY took synthetic oil, which would cost $80. I've had done both synthetic and regular oil changes in the past so it's really annoying when they tell you that you don't have any options except for the one they give you. - When I went to pay, I asked them how many miles I can go with my oil change. He says that for my car, I can go another 7,500 miles. I asked him if they updated my navigation system to reflect that. And he says, "Yeah, but I think my guy put your next change at 5,000 miles." Shady. Good thing I asked. Overall: Me no likely. If you've never been to this jiffy lube and insist on giving it a try, CALL FIRST and see if they can offer prices comparable to other service centers. just moved relatively nearby and glad I went to this location as opposed to the jiffy-lube I used to go to in Silverlake. That location always seems to be over capacitated, but this is nice and fast. Everyone here seems helpful and attentive. Worst place to take your car especially your new car the owner never called and made me write write letter how it happen ... they're jiffy lube worker left a rag in my car after my oil change and i drove away .. min later I smell burned oil and smoke comes out my car and pulll over and open my hood and a small flame by my engine I throw a 2 water bottles to stop the flame it burned a couple of my wires and my car never been the same since it's first oil change and that burn they left .. so I payed a lot for someone to get away with burning my engine wires ... ... it been over 2 years and half since this incident and I never got a call back I moved further away and I'm always working and have no time to go there cause I never get anywhere talking to his worker there ...
