I desperately needed an oil change and decided to give this place a shot since I was in the area and had some extra time between meetings. The manager took real good care of me and my car. He was friendly, knowledgeable, honest, helpful, let me take advantage of a coupon I found online, and even showed me how to use the coffee maker. I've been dropping my car off to this place for about a year now. Usually, other auto. places try to point out something that may be wrong with my car. Its funny because auto. mechanics point at my engine...thinking that I actually know what I look at. Well, perhaps they do know, but does this to make an extra sale. The point is, the employees at Jiffy Lube ask me about my car's history, then inform me about the required maintenance for my type and model of car. I found it shady at first because they usually tell me to do a service on my car while I'm there. Yet, after getting second opinions and referring to my owner's manual, I realized that Jiffy Lube is well versed in their knowledge of automobiles. So far, I'm convinced this Jiffy Lube is not trying to lie to their customers in order to perform a service so they can make that extra dollar. All things considered, learn your car by referring to the owners manual and getting second opinions. Only going by experience and what the mechanics say will only get you so far... after all your the one driving the car. read more

This review would have been higher but when a technician with greasy hands who decided to placed put their hands on your cloth seats : that's the worst. Even after trying to clean the grease smudge marks, it is never the same 3X more. It will cost more money to get my car detailed for cleaning than my $15 discount read more

I'm posting this review so I can get testimonials from other people with similar experiences and expose these people for the frauds they are. I took my car in for an oil change and I unfortunately did not leave with my car. I pulled up for the drive thru service, they checked my lights, fluids, etc. Everything looked fine. A new employee did the oil change (I know this because they were walking him through it) and they charge me before the oil change is even done. Once they have my money, they asked me to turn my engine on and my car wouldn't start. They let the new guy fiddle with the battery for five minutes and then conveniently decide to let me know I have an oil leak (mind you they had already taken my payment and were ready to let me go without this piece of information). They take another look and then deduced that there's actually something wrong with my starter. When I asked to speak to the district manager, his only response was that they are not mechanics and can't do anything for me. If I want them to pay or take any ounce of responsibility for what happened, I have to pay out of my own pocket to have my car towed and diagnosed by a mechanic to prove they're responsible. Call me crazy but if my car is working just fine and I take it somewhere to get a simple oil change and it stops working before I can even pull out of the driveway then the burden of proof is on the business to prove they aren't responsible not on me! My car will be staying overnight at their shop and I'll be having someone take a look at it tomorrow. Unless this was the perfect coincidence, I think they messed with my car for what reason I don't know and are now refusing to take any sort of responsibility for it. I'm busy at work so I sent my boyfriend to get my oil changed on my car because it's way overdue. I called about 2 hours before he came here to confirm the price. While I was busy at work, my boyfriend sends me a text that it was much more than the quoted price & he went ahead with it since he couldn't reach me. I was able to stay in my car as he changed my oil, fixed my tail light (that I didn't know was out), wiped my windows down, replace my coolant, and fixed me right up! Worrying experience. Regular oil change could have gone way wrong. They left the oil cap resting on the intake vents for the air. Unfortunately we did not realized this until way after the oil change that same day, and we thought maybe they forgot to place the air filter back, that's why the smell. Hot oil got all over the engine and other parts and we do not know to what extent this represents a threat overtime to any part of the engine (it is a Prius). We documented the discovery and are planning to go back there, so they can asses what's going on. read more

i actually like going to Jiffy Lube because they do their 15 point inspection, or however many points it is. the manager at this location was very nice and respectful. they gave me an estimate of $300, when i was expecting only an oil change of $35. the worker offered to give me a discount of $20 off after i was like "OMG thats freakin expensive!" hahah then the manager walks by and says "no, give her $30 off" what a nice guy. i didnt get everything that was in the original estimate and no $30 off discount, but they put it in the computer that it was offered and next time i go, so i can still get the discount. i went at about 2PM on a wednesday afternoon. the whole place was empty except about 5 workers (all probably in their mid to late twenties). since i was the only customer, and only GIRL in the whole place, i got some ga-ga stares. but everyone was nice and didnt disrepect me. read more

SCAM!! THESE GUYS ARE THIEVES! STAY AWAY! First, they tried desperately to convince me that the only oil my car can possibly accept is their super-expensive synthetic brand. This was not a mere suggestion -- they actually pulled it up on their computer screen to "prove" to me that my car will have "serious issues" if I don't use synthetic. They weren't showing me anything from my car's manufacturer but, rather, something that Jiffy Lube itself had typed up on their own. This magic synthetic oil change would have been $79.98. (For an oil change?! Are you kidding??) Even when my car was brand new and I got my oil changes at the dealer, they never used synthetic only. The true scam, however, was when the mechanic pulled me out to the bay to tell me that my battery was "seriously low" and "about to give out" and "currently operating at 15%" and would "fail very soon" and he was "surprised it even started today." He even showed me some numbers on a battery testing gizmo and said I should let him install a new battery "right away." I declined and took it straight to the car dealer not far away...where the battery was fully tested and is absolutely PERFECT. I later noticed that this whole battery "test" and insistence that my battery would "fail very soon" was not mentioned anywhere in writing on my otherwise very detailed receipt -- not even under the messages section where they recommend future service. SCAM! There are dozens of other oil change places in this area. Be smart...use ANYBODY else! read more

If you wanna pay $50 for an oil change, come to this place and get ripped. They'll show you a list of different types of oil changes ranging from $50-$80, but the conventional oil selection will be hidden. You must have to ask for a normal oil change or something. It's not laid out in a convenient way for the customer. No response needed, no apology, no refund. You know what you're doing, not everyone is an idiot. read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. I was in desperate need of an oil change, and I was determined to get it done this morning since I could never get an appointment with my dealer shop at a time I need. This morning I decided I would go to jiffy lube due to the company's respected reputation. I got there at 8:30 ( 30 minutes after opening) and the entire shop was closed. Why, you may ask? I saw a couple of jiffy lube employees in the parking lot. so I spoke to them. They explained that only the manager has the keys to open up and that the manager would be there within an hour ( anywhere between 1 hour to 1.5 hours after opening). The MANAGER was running LATE! The employee then went on to say he would give me a $20 off of my service if I could just wait till they opened ( keep in mind they open at 8 am). Are you kidding me? I was so appalled at the lack of professionalism that this corporate company has that I went across the street to Glendale Lube Center, which turned out to be a blessing of its own. Glendale Lube Center was professional, so nice, and so much more affordable than Jiffy Lube. So thank you Jiffy Lube for your lack of tastefulness, I have found a gem. I will never come back to jiffy lube and I will make sure none of my friends and family use your services. read more

After seeing the line of cars at the Silverlake location, I drove up to Glendale for a basic oil change. Pulled up to an empty shop, got me right in and out in under 10 minutes. Honored a coupon I had and sent me on my way. read more

These guys don't know what they are doing... 1) went there to get oil change, did not have my filter in, said they would order it and come back next day. 2) I come back next day, still don't have it, tell me I can wait thirty minutes while they try to find it. 3) And this is the big one - beware if you have a Mini. If your Power Steering Fluid is low, it takes a special kind. They topped it off for me as a courtesy... which was nice, but hey guess what, it could cause problems for my power steering and now I have to go to the dealer to get the system flushed and have the right stuff put in there. I had thought it may require a special kind, had heard somewhere that it did, mentioned it to the person there, and they said, no worries they use a "universal fluid." So they top it off with their "universal fluid". Which I find out later is not a hydraulic fluid which is what my Mini needs, and when mixed can cause major problems. BTW because Jiffy Lube didn't have my filter I took it over to Valvoline who did a great job and I asked them about the power steering fluid just to see if there is such thing as a universal fluid and they tell me " No! You need to go to your dealer for your car, it requires a special power steering fluid - a hydraulic fluid." hmmmm Valvoline knew this... who do you trust your car with? read more

This place is the worst!! Every time I pass through this location I am disgusted of the service I got here! I got an oil change and basically the screw was not put correctly and they messed it up! I would get home finding my driveway full of oil from the oil spilling. I called them to tell them what had happened and they told me to take it back for them to fix it. I want back about 4 times... all the same response :it's all set! No it wasn't! I had to take it to a professional because they had broken the drain plug and tried to fix it however they could! The manager is the worst. He never fixed anything. He would always tell me he would fix it. I realized these people are shady and I stopped going just in case they did something worse on my car. They took advantage of me because I did not know better at the time. I have a company car, so I generally get oil changes and things from the company fleet program with a coupon and signature- no cost as it is all prepaid through the company. So being spoiled, I had no idea what oil changes should cost when I took a friends car in for an oil change as a gift. Now, I thought they were supposed to be about $30 to $40 for an oil change, but it has been over a decade since I paid for one and prices rose in every area of our economy, so when it was a lot more, I was skeptical but had no facts to back my concern. So the Jiffy guy, very nicely, tried to sell me an $80 to $100 oil change talking about synthetic oils and explaining they last longer and stuff. It concerned me, but did not want to be cheap on my friend, so I opted for a $60 half synthetic - half regular. Turns out this guy sold me a "signature package", which means they vacuum the car and top off other fluids. In the past, other companies did that as a free courtesy. It also turns out the synthetic stuff is not needed. Then they asked about changing a little bulb above the license plate and the air filter and those "services" cost another $40. Really?!! Well holy cow- but it was already done when I saw the bill, so how could I argue? On top of which- their 15 min estimate was more like 30 min. I didn't know what to do so I paid it. I felt really ripped off and couldn't help thinking that oil change prices had really gone up in the past decade. My friend told me I was ripped off, I felt robbed, and now everyone tells me that was really wrong what they did. Yes I feel stupid, but how was I to know. The friend had suggested Jiffy Lube, so I figured they were good guys. Obviously we were both wrong and will never use ANY Jiffy Lube or recommend them again. I also learned oil changes still are about $30 and the synthetic crap is BS. And yes, other places still top off fluids for free. I get that I am a girl and have limited knowledge of cars. I use a car to get from point A to B- nothing more. But seriously- Glendale is a small town and taking advantage of people is bad for business. The guy should have explained all my options, including just getting a regular oil change, and should have told me the extreme cost for changing a bulb and filter before doing it. I would recommend anywhere but this place because of their outrageous charges and for the lack of candid, honesty about my options, prices, and the oil. Taking advantage of women and newbies may be expected nowadays, but it is still wrong. These people need to change their practices. Try the EZ Lube down the street or a million other places, if not to protest their bad business practice, then simply to protect yourself. read more

This place is a ripe off. I brought in my brand new car for an oil change about a month after purchasing it from the dealership. As I'm sitting in the waiting room, the guy who's working on my car comes and tells me there's something I need to show you. He takes me outside where he's working on the car and shows me an air filter that's filled with dirt and told me that it needs to be changed and I told him it's impossible that could be my air filter as I had just bought my car from the dealership BRAND NEW. How can it get dirty so quickly? Then he said no problem you can keep the same dirty air filter but I wouldn't recommend it. I was pretty sure he had brought a used one and place it in my car before calling me outside but at the point even tough I was upset I just told him to change it because I didn't want to be driving my new car with a dirty air filter in it. coughed up an additional $35 something on top of the oil change. I swore I would never go back there again. NEVER!!! read more

Unprofessional arrogant guys (all 3), running a usual oil change scams - as soon as they've learned that my car is under warranty, hiked the price up and declined the coupon. I don't think people should beg to have their car serviced at a chain affiliate - I can go to see a rude obnoxious mechanic at any nearby shop if I needed that kind of entertainment... I understand that a business can't run on cheap oil changes, but really shows how far they'll go to make a buck. I have been thinking to use their service for a while now and I waited until my Oil change required mileage o complete and then try them. So I called them and gave specific information regarding my car brand and model and as a matter of fact due to the past experience with the synthetic oil prices I knew it should be around $60-$90, and they said it will be $69 + windows cleaning , interior cleaning, head light cleaning, all extra goodies! I said great, I'll be there in half an hr! I printed out the coupon for $10 off and went there and the guy goes behind the computer and asks me the year and model of my car and goes back and forth with another guy to verify some stuff and comes back and tells me its gonna be $120 due to more oil it would need to fill it up! I said you couldn't verify and tell me those stuff over the phone so I didn't have to drive all the way here? He kept apologizing.... I just decided to take it to my mechanic who is usually very busy and initially i didn't want to take it to him for minor things like oil change. He charged me $80 and checked break fluid, anti-freeze liquid, radiator water, fixed my under engine cover and gave me a better service. Don't waste your time with noobs like Jiffy Lube. take it somewhere else! they dont know what they are doing. read more

I have been coming to this location for a couple years now and the service is always great. I came in last week for my oil change and the new manager Angel was so polite and professional. They did the oil change super fast and he even vacuumed my car and cleaned the windshield! Definitely recommend this location for quick and great service. read more
