I am a senior widow and was having an impossible struggle with my car's cabin air filter. I called and asked the person on other end (without telling him I'm senior or widow) if they were familiar with my models filter installation and what would they charge me to install. he said just bring it in and we'll install it no charge. I could hardly believe it. I brought it in, they installed it, cleaned my windows and vacuumed my car. They didn't know I have used their business previously they just did it no charge. After overpaying for an oil change, they failed to vacuum my car and minutes later I was loosing oil on my driveway. I returned to the location and asked to speak to the manager. The manager found out that they did make a mistake. No apology. No, "hey let me make it right". I called Dodge to find out how much they charged, $60 for an oil change on my Dodge Charger. Dishonest practices. This place doesn't have any prices posted. They tell you to leave your car and go inside. They then drain all the oil before informing you what it costs for an oil change. Only go here if you feel like getting strong armed into a $60 conventional oil change. It did however only take 15min total, with no wait. Fast service - friendly workers - service quality is the worst. Took my car and my sons car in - on the same day - few hours apart. The oil filter on my car wasn't tightened properly - leaked oil all over - probably lost about a half a quart to a quart. My sons car - the oil pan screws were not tightened all the way - causing more oil leakage. Both of these issues could have caused major issues with our cars. I would prefer to go to a small business - especially one in my town - but I will never go there again. read more

This jiffy lub is the worst place ever. They removed my Beothuk of my filter in my truck and never replace them back. I was also charged for both of them. My truck had to go to the the dealership to get fixed because I drove around for two weeks with no filters. which cost over $1000 to get repaired. This place should be shut down. DON'T GO HERE! Just took my car in here for an oil change. I was the only customer. My usually place was booked for the day and I needed to have the oil change before leaving for a road trip tomorrow. I'd thought I'd give them. Sure wish I had not gone here. I get there. They check me into their waiting area. A guy named Edward sets up my profile into their system. Ask me wanted I needed done today. Told him I'm just here for an oil change. Oil is changed. Edward rings me out. I start to drive away and maybe 5 minutes later the "check engine" light comes. I drive a little further thinking it'll go away if I keep driving. It goes away. Two hours later. I load my two young kids into the car to take them to lunch. Drive 5 minutes and check engine light comes on again. Get to a stop sign and now the 4WD and VSC (vehicle stability control) light comes on. I'm thinking this is definitely not right. I have young kids in the car and am starting to freak out about their safety. I decide to drive to my usual mechanic shop. I tell them what happen and the owner of the shop goes and hooks up a device to find out what the check engine is indicating. He inspects all the connections and calls me over. He then asks me "are you sure they changed the oil?" I couldn't tell if he was being funny or serious. Apparently the guys working on my car at Jiffy Lube didn't connect the hose back to my air filter, which caused the line to my 4WD to get overheated causing the warning light to pop up. Luckily I was able to catch the issue before leaving on my 10hr drive. If something would have happen to my kids, there would have many legal actions I'm not saying all Jiffy Lubes are bad, just this one. I understand their concept is quick oil change but slow it down about it. Check to make sure everything is reconnected and closed tightly before giving it back to the customer. It's when you take shortcuts when people's property gets damage and also your reputation. read more

I am writing this letter to complain about the unethical service I received ant the Jiffy Lube location at 1600 Irving Park Road Hannover Park IL I have been getting my car services at this location for many years and up to this point I have always received fast service and was treated with courtesy at this location. This visit was far form my previous visits. A couple of hours before I visited I went on the Jiffy lube website and printed a couple of coupons listed under this Jiffy Lube store, the manager said that there store did not accept these coupons. I was there so I went on anyway . Then he brought out two dirty air filters and quoted me a price of $29.99 for one and $39.99 for the other one. I normally get a synthetic blend oil change, he told me if I got a full synthetic oil change he would give me a $10 discount on both filters and honor my $10 coupon for the oil change that I had taken off the web site. I said OK the work was done and he quoted me a "full" and a "discounted" price. I then go the bill with the "discounted" price. When I received the bill at home it turned the "discounted" price was the full price for all items . None of the promised discounts were applied. read more

I've been going to that place many times. Now that the manager and staff changed it is a total disaster. I got an awful service, badly scratched and damaged hood of my car, and damaged tire valve. I had a tire pressure light on ever since it got cold this winter (the usual thing in my car), but it didn't get cleared even though the mechanics were supposed to put more air in them. A young "mechanic" said that I must have a broken sensor, which was a total lie. 2 days later my tire was almost flat, yet it didn't have any hole in it. He must have damaged the valve filling the air in, and actually deflate it instead of putting air in. Also, I cannot open the hood since their service. Total crap! read more

Today ( 01/04/2024) I was at Jiffy Lube location at Irving park and Barrington road for a Lyft inspection. I gave them the car, they took it in and after 5-6 minutes they took it out. I went to the cashier and he told me that I didn't pass because I have the tires worn at 3/32 and the back brakes at 3mm so to pass I have to replace them. I told him that I am surprised because the tires are almost new and I had them installed across the street from them at Discount tires store less than 5000 miles ago. He said that he knows better and that if I don't do the things he told me I will not pass the inspection. I left and went to another Jiffy Lube location 6 miles away. There I pass the inspection and they seen the tires are almost new and the brakes are less than half worn. I came back to the first location and I told the gentleman at the cashier why they told me to do services that not supposed to be needed and that I was right about the tires. He called his manager who said he is the one who did the inspection. I asked him how he could say that almost new tires he sees them as worn and brake pads almost gone because I was watching through the window at my car when they "inspected " and I didn't see them taking the wheels off to check the brake pads and I was right about the tires that what the guys at another location confirmed too. So what I recommend is DO NOT GO AT THIS LOCATION they will recommend services you don't need just to make them sales , go somewhere else read more

This is my go to jiffy lube. The wait isnt ever too bad. The staff here is pretty helpful. Im very good at staying on top of the maintenance on my car. My car has a little over 100k miles on it, so today i went in knowing id be looking into some maintenance add on. I ended up getting a engine flush and coolant and radiator flush. Id never done these to my car before so i think they were needed. I waited maybe 30-35 minutes the assistant manager came out and explained what was done to my car and to come back if i had any problems. When i got into my car it felt like it drove a little more smoothly. I noticed my car was alot cleaner, they vacuumed and wiped down the steering wheel and my windshield too. The only thing i dont care for, which is totally out of their control, is the lack of public etiquette i experience here sometimes. No random people, I dont want to hear your loud phone conversation!! read more

Fastest oil change ever! I went on a Saturday afternoon for an oil change. When I pulled up they told me to basically leave my keys in the car and they would get it worked on immediately. Normally for oil changes I would schedule in advance and expect usually a 30+ minute wait. I came to this place expecting the same and brought a laptop to get some stuff done while I wait. That was not the case here. They do first come first serve and my oil change was literally done in 11 minutes. They also topped my fluids and added air to my tires. It was fantastic. Yeah it was 40 dollars because I didn't have a coupon but next time, I'll be on the lookout for jiffy lube coupons because I'm definitely coming back here. read more

This Jiffy Lube is the only place I go anymore for oil changes, tire rotations, etc since the the one 3 blocks from my house was closed. Everyone has been very nice. Prices are average for the area. The nice thing about this one is that they have a car wash that costs $1 extra. It used to be free but I can live with $1! The only minor issue is that it is on the intersection of two busy roads. Getting out, on the road you want and across traffic can be a challenge! Since I usually get my truck washed, I take the longer but less stressful way home to help it dry anyway. I dread getting my oil changed. I hate the wait, I hate people looking at my junky car, and I hate people trying to sell me things I don't need. Cue this Jiffy Lube not being pushy and having a really nice staff. I got in right away, they offered me extras for my car (new wipers, etc.) but not in an annoying salesperson way, and were cool that I just got the basics done. No judgement on my old but still running car, and even cleaned my windows. I find Jiffy Lube to be on the expensive side, though getting in and out with no hassle and dealing with a great staff worth it. I was also informed that if I came back before I reached my 3000 miles for my next oil change, they would take $20 off my next one. That's a pretty cool deal. read more

I usually go to this Jiffy Lube in Hanover Park to take my fleet vehicle because they always fast. The last time I went the kid said I'll change your wiper blades since it's covered by your company. I told him the truck is brand new and didn't need them. He said we can toss them in the trunk and they'll pay for them. I said, "That's fine." Then he said, "How bout we just keep them since you won't be using them." I left because I felt it was too shady. It makes me wonder if they even change the oil since they are so fast every time. read more

I cannot thank Jeremiah "Chewy" and his team for their kindness. My car broke down and I happen to be able to pull into this particular Jiffy Lube. They diagnosed the problem but were unable to fix it. They checked as much as they could and offered me the safety and warmth of their lobby, offered to hold the key and the car overnight if I needed it towed in the morning, and wouldn't charge me for the diagnosis or checking systems. I went to this location on Sunday 2/24/19 and they were able to do a quick oil change. As soon as I drove my car, it started shaking/staggering so I turned around right away and told them something is wrong. Chris, one of the employees took my car for a test drive and initially said that the oil that they used was defective so they will drain it, and replace the oil and take it again for a drive to see. When he came back for 2nd test drive, turns out he said that they drained my transmission fluid instead and that they need my car to stay overnight because they are done for the day and cant work on it til the next day! I said that I cannot leave without a car and need a rental at least so i can go to work and I have a kid. He told me he doesnt know the answer and that I need to get an uber to go home! I had to tell him to call his manager countless times because he had no solution for the frustrating situation that they caused me and the inconvenience! He then said that there's Avis car rental and that he already spoke with them and knows the situation, when I said ok turns out avis is already closed hours before! So clearly he lied about talking to them. I had to uber myself and be late for work the next day because I had to get a rental car myself because I did not get any help from these people! NOT ONCE did this guy apologized for all of this inconvenience and frustration they did, HE WAS VERY RUDE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, doesnt know how to handle the situation and NOT ONE BIT CONCERNED ABOUT HIS CUSTOMER! The only thing he was concerned about was to get out of there because he was done for the day. Needless to say, I will never come back to this place!!! read more

Mixed feelings. I called ahead to see if they would be open past 5p. Open til 6p Saturdays, nice. I usually take my car to Nissan dealer for oil change and I've never taken my car anywhere else. But Nissan close early on Saturdays. So I went here. Pulled up to no wait, nice. Got right in. Immediately I'm given the highest priced oil change quote. $79.99 full synthetic oil "because that's what my engine takes. And conventional would mess up my engine." Once I gave an indication that I was going to leave, I was then offered a combo of conventional and synthetic at $54.99. And guaranteed that it wouldn't mess up my engine. Filter was bought out to me, needed to be changed. $24.99 for filter. Was offered a $10 "discount" off the filter. However on the price list, Filters were $14.99. All in all, it was a quick oil change, but very pricey. I do aporeciate the discount but never paid that price at an actual Nissan Dealership, in fact it would of been $50 less for the same exact service. Once I got back in my car, I noticed the dashboard settings were displayed as if someone tried to manually turn off the oil change/filter indicator warning light that was on when I arrived at Jiffy. That bothered me a bit on top of the high price I felt a little bit disappointed. Today I feel like I cheated on Nissan. Lesson learned. Stick to what you know. read more

RUN!!!! Carmella of Jiffy Lube e ran my card for the oil service, then she had Jeff (the manager) cancel it and he reran it for a higher amount than should be. They claimed that they changed the air filter. When asked to see the old air filter, they could not produce it. Popped he hood and sure enough the old filter was there. They refused to give a refund. I hope the extra $20 bucks they made off of the fake filter was worth the Chargeback fee's from Visa/Discover. RUN - THEY ARE NOT REPUTABLE!!!! read more

Absolutely terrible service. I've been to other jiffy lubes and never have I had this type of experience. I came to recycle one bottle of oil. Literally they pour it out somewhere and this place gives you your bottle back. Others will just take the bottles and recycle it for you. That's not the big deal to me I can recycle the bottle at home. But I'm standing here 38 weeks pregnant. The young Caucasian boy said it will be a few minutes I have to get this car out. I thought it would be a few minutes and I could wait. I'm standing there and he's cleaning the windows and vacuuming. Has I known he meant 10-15 I would not have stood there waiting. It wasn't until I talked to someone else and said I'll just take it somewhere else that he went to grab it, pour it, and gave me the bottle back without saying a word. There were like 5 guys there. I know they make no money recycling oil but it is a service they offer. This is a bad representation and should I need an oil change I wouldn't go here due to service they have demonstrated for other services!!! read more

Stay away. They did an oil change on my car and it was dripping oil after. I looked under the car to see where it was coming and discovered they had ripped the splash guard down, all of the fasteners were missing and they put it back on with wire ties. Oil was all over it. Sloppy, jerry rigged and unprofessional. I popped the hood to check the oil level and the screws from the air filter box were missing too. Never going back. read more

This place is bad news. They started offering other mechanical repair services and I needed radiator hoses replaced so I took the car there. The "mechanic" told me he thought I might need a new radiator. I thought it possible so I went along and let them replace the whole radiator. Took 4 hours instead of the quoted 2 which really screwed up my plans. Then when I came back to pick up, discovered the radiator they installed had bent vents. Manager was rude, condescending and defensive. 2 days later, my temp gauge is on hot and my heat is blowing ice cold and the "mechanic" is telling me it's an "air bubble". Yup, I think I know exactly where that "air bubble" is! This store needs to shape up or be put out of business because they have all the earmarks of a really schlock operation. read more
