I went to Jiffy Lube on Highland Ave. in Highland, Ca. last week to have my oil changed. At the time all seemed to be just fine. This week I needed some additional work done on my truck and took I it to a local shop for a noise in the rear end. They asked if I wanted to have the oil changed and I told them that it had just been done. When they put the truck up on the rack they saw that the oil filter was dirty and had not been changed so they checked the oil and found that it was black. I stated to him I have a $15 coupon he said that was fine. Finally one guy points at me me and says, "Who's going to help him?" Another two minutes and some sketchy guy comes in and says "You need help?" Nope. Just wanted to enjoy your decor. "Yes. I wanted to get my oil change done in a timely manner. I looked up Jiffy Lube on yelp and thought I saw a coupon for the oil change. When I got there at 8 o'clock in the morning, there was no other customers there and i was happy. However the service man told me that the coupon was only good for selected packages. It did not apply towards the basic oil change. The basic oil change was $29.99. I was a tad disappointed but felt better when he told me he could get me out 15 minutes. Would be lower, but one star is the lowest I can give. These guys tried to rip me off. I asked for their economy oil change and was promptly told that my car only takes synthetic oil. In all the oil changes I've had int the 106,000+ mile on the car I have never been told this. When I said no thank you, and walked out of the office toward my car they started dropping the price $10 at a time until they reached $30 less then the original quoted price. I'm always happy with the service at this Jiffy Lube. They have serviced my vehicles for years and have always treated me and my family well. They don't try to oversell me, but they also don't ignore a dirty air filter or a radiator that hasn't had a flush and fill in a year or so. I bought a Groupon for $27 conventional oil change same day as I made my purchase I arrive and they informed me it would be about an hour wait because they had 2 customers ahead of me and were short staffed. I decided to wait anyways, it was my only day off and just wanted to get it out of the way. An hour had passed and had asked me which service I'd prefer. I told them about the Groupon I purchased and they told me they would not accept my Groupon because it takes 24 hrs after I purchase it to process in their system so they can redeem it and they wouldn't even try. Then argues it was in the fine print. WRONG! I re-read the fine print multiple times and contacted Groupon customer service and no it does not say that. I asked to speak to the manager and the assistant manager was the same guy arguing with me, I asked him if their was another coupon that's would price match my Groupon, he laughed and said their was no way they could match that. I was annoyed I spent over an hour and didn't get any work done on my car and had horrible customer service, I asked for the corporate number, the Assistant manager wouldn't give it to me and asked "why, for what?" And I tried to explain to him and had told him about his rude behavior and he got very aggressive and took a step torward me and started yelling at me. I asked him for the number again and he said "it's in there, go get it." I told him no I want him to go get it. He left came back out running his mouth still, handed me the paper with the number scribbled on it, I asked for his name and he had his back turned and said his name was Ceaser, I asked if he had a business card or name tag to verify and he responded to me with his back still turned and said no. This Jiffy Lube has been the worst place to get my car serviced so far. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I told them I had already replaced my air filters and I only needed a simple oil change and tire rotation. I was still charged over $100 for their rip-off "package" that includes quick preliminary visual inspections of the car and air filter changes in addition to the oil and tire rotations - services that any other reputable mechanic would do for free or charge a small inconsequential fee for. Instead, this Jiffy Lube takes advantage of its customers and attempts to squeeze out as much money as they can. On top of the horrendous price gouging which borderlines being labeled as theft, they did an amateur job of rotating the tires. After they serviced my car, the steering didn't feel quite the same, and a metallic creaking sound would sometimes come up when turning the wheels. I recently serviced my car at a different auto shop and they fixed the problems that this Jiffy Lube caused. A business is rated on 3 principles: service, quality of work, and cost. This place has terrible service, amateur workmanship quality, and exorbitant prices that amount to extortion. Avoid at all costs! read more

I decided to try Jiffy Lube today because my car was in need of an oil change. I can't speak for any work done on my car..I walked about before they even touched or even saw my car. I don't know if they were short on workers today or what, guy at the front desk seemed very frazzled and very angry..especially that someone, I think Mike, went to lunch. So he took awhile to take care of anyone in line, that's ok. I understand being frustrated at work, (though I try not to show it that much, that's a little unprofessional) I also understand being busy, I'm a patient person. HOWEVER, when you are flat out RUDE. No, that's not acceptable and I am going else where. As the front desk worker is walking AWAY (cause he is just so busy, too busy to help a customer, especially a FIRST time customer) he gives me instruct on where to put my car, in a very "matter of fact" like or "your an idiot" type of way. I stand there a little confused, reconfirming what he just told me..waiting for a little more instruct that never came. I then go to my car to bring it around, THEN I get some instruct, some attention from this guy, "no not like that, could you not do that again?!" So quick to critique, but where was your help when I was looking for it? Being talked to like an idiot for the last time...that was it. Well don't worry Jiffy Lube, I won't be "doing that again" because I left and am never coming back. And shame for you, my husband and I keep up with our oils changes, and were looking for a new place. I've had good luck with getting in and out of this place when my preferred shop is too busy, but they're definitely on the pricier end of local oil changes, at least for my make and model of vehicle, and I'd hesitate to have anything more extensive done there before shopping around. Service today was very quick (a plus, especially on the weekend) and the technicians were courteous, but they were literally out in the repair bay working on my oil change before I even had the chance to see an estimate, let alone sign one. Based on the unhappy customer ahead of me (who from the sound of things also wasn't quoted a price until they'd already done the work in question, which turned out to be more expensive than he had planned on) it doesn't seem like this is an uncommon experience to have there. If you're looking for repair or maintenance on a budget, definitely ask for an estimate FIRST to avoid being surprised by the numbers you get back. read more

I am SO impressed with this Jiffy Lube location and the gentlemen who serviced my car last time I was here. I went to get my oil changed, and I have to admit I was a little apprehensive, since I had never been to a Jiffy Lube and I am always weary of being sold things I don't need, as a female. The guys working were extremely helpful--and honest, from start to finish. I mentioned a coupon I could use as an educator, and they suggested another coupon that would save me more money since I was opting for the higher grade oil change anyways. Then, one of the guys called me over midway through to let me know that everything looked great and the only thing recommended was a tire rotation, but since my car was so new it really wasn't required. I opted for it anyways because I am REALLY trying to be good with this car! I usually drive it and drive it until suddenly I need new tires and they're like, 'when's the last time you rotated your tires?' and I'm like, 'did what to my tires?' Lol. So, anyways, 2 weeks later, and my car is running great! I definitely recommend this place, and I will be back when I'm due for my next oil change/service. :) read more

I have been a repeat customer, although it had been about a year since I was last at this location and probably will not return. The first thing I noted was the prices had increased significantly since my last visit. I was informed the normal oil change had been eliminated and replaced by the "Signature" oil change (increase appoximately 45%). I wasn't thrilled with the price increase, but I was already there and figured the increased level of service may be worth it. I was wrong! The one thing they did tell me was the brake fluid was low. They wouldn't fill it, but they did let me know. The following day I filled the brake fluid chamber and looked at a few of the "features of the Signature oil change check list. - Tire pressure was not checked (I had a low tire and it was not filled or mentioned. Not filled I could understand, because the tire need hydrogen, but they didn't check. - Vacuum the floors, not done. - Check wiper blades, I had asked them to be changed initially, so I don't know if they would have checked them. I do know they charged me more than the price they had posted in their waiting room. - Clean exterior windows, not done. - Check windshield washer fluid, not done. The level was not even visible, well below the minimum level (photo proof available). - Check cabin and engine air fliters. They did show me those and recommended replacement, which I declined because I do those myself. - They also claim they do a number of other checks to include radiator over flow, differential fluid, power steering fluid, serpentine belt, lights, transmission/transaxial and brake fluids, which I had mentioned earlier as being low, on the receipt, they reported it as being full. They were very courteous and friendly, but it appeared to me, the only things they checked were things that they could up sell me on. DO NOT COME HERE! My car is a brand new 2015 kia optima. Never had any issues with it and it ran perfectly fine until the day i took my car here to get an oil change. I got the oil change done and two weeks later my change oil light came on again. Later that day i checked my oil and it was completely gone! I took the car back in to find out what the problem was and i was told there was some sort of hole causing my oil to leak out. I told them if the hole was caused by me (which it wasn't) my oil would have been draining out every two weeks far before i took my car to get serviced here. The response i got was, "maybe you drive your car too much" what else am i supposed to do with a car? I spent over 100 dollars here and now i am searching for a mechanic to fix their mistake! Well, I decided to try out this location, and spent 10 minutes reading reviews BEFORE I pulled in the shop. When I finally arrived at the store, a guy came out and asked what did I need. I asked him SPECIFICALLY what brand of oil to use with a synthetic oil change? He immediately replied PENZOIL. I assumed that to be true because I was at a PENZOIL Jiffy Lube. I asked the price and he said $89.99 I said that was high, and he said some nonsense about it is the best oil they used. I agreed and pulled my car up. After doing paperwork, and I sat in the office for a bit, they came in and said they needed to talk to me. I immediately thought they were going to try and UPSELL me something I didn't need. The manager told me that they didn't have PENZOIL synthetic oil, that they only hand KENDALL brand oil. I told him: Thats not what the first guy said. He then said he didn't know. I told him that's not my fault, that's yours. He then went ahead and said they have a PLATINUM Penzoil synthetic oil for $29.00 more, and I told him to get lost. I demanded he give me the PLATINUM oil for the same price as the regular synthetic oil that they DIDN'T HAVE. He was flustered and then finally gave in. What a joke!
