I have been driving for about 30 years, and I have to say this jiffy lube on punchbowl is the best auto service shop. Went in for a safety check at 9:00am, and received service at 9:00am. I was out of there in 15 mins. All the technicians were very polite, provided excellent customer service and great teamwork. I heard the word "thank you" multiple times from various technicians. Although the area is a bit sketchy looking and feeling, this location is very convenient and consistently provides quick service. The workers were efficient and professional. Georgelyn was very thorough and explained everything about to happen with my vehicle prior to the service. Amenity wise, they have hot tea and coffee available during the wait, along with a television & a vending machine located in a small enclosed air conditioned waiting room. Tip: Arrive early. So I'm driving my car to the west side this weekend and feel the AC blowing warm and cold. Hmmm. Then I look at the thermostat and see that it's fluctuating pretty wildly, scarily close to the high end. Add to that my oil light has been coming on and off recently - I firmly decide to go to my friendly neighborhood Jiffy Lube for my long overdue oil change. I'm checked in quickly by a very friendly sista (Rogelyn, I think), who assures me that my oil change can be done inside of 45 minutes (gotta get to work, you know!). She checks our profile and sees a couple of things that look like they need to be addressed. She goes through the list, I agree to some things (topping off coolant, replacing wipers, etc.), but not to others (trans flush, radiator flush, and such). Throughout, she is smoothly telling me how much things will cost as I agree to the services. At the end, she prints out the work order, which I sign. I settle in to wait, helping myself to some pretty delicious coffee while watching some fun morning show. After a few minutes they say they can actually do my safety check inside the 45 minutes (they had previously quoted 1 hour, so I had scheduled a follow up appointment on Wednesday) so I handed over my insurance and registration. I ended up having to use the bathroom too, which was surprisingly clean, with extra toilet paper on offer - thank goodness! About 10 minutes in, Rogelyn (I think) comes out to tell me the coolant was empty - did I want to top off? Yes please! About 35 minutes in, Paula comes out to show me the absolute nastiest in cabin air filters that have come out of my car and asked me if I would like to replace them to the tune of $49.99. Yes please! Yuck! At the 45 minute mark Paula comes out to tell me my car is ready! I feel like I've only been here about 5 minutes! Oh I forgot to mention - they vacuumed my yucky sand and mud-ridden floorboards, cleaned the windows, and inflated my tires without me even asking! Plus, the last time I was here the person who helped me recommended I go to the Jiffy Lube website to sign up for coupons (which I did) so this time I got $20 off my services! I forgot to add the $5 off windshield wiper service but what the heck - that was totally worth all that other stuff they did! Paula also pointed out a few things that need investigating - rack and pinion leak, suspected rear seal leak, power steering leak (I know!), which was super helpful. So in the end I got everything I came for, it cost exactly what they said it would, and it was all done inside the time they promised, enabling me to get to work on time! The ladies I interacted with (there were fellas here but I didn't talk with any of them) were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Super informative of services to be provided. I went in for an oil change and filter replacement. They were going to rotate my tires as part of this general checkup when they realized that my tires were still under Costco warranty and that Costco would rotate them for free. As a result, they did not charge me for a service that I had forgotten about and I would have paid them for. I brought my wife's car in the next day, and both times both vehicles were in and out in under half an hour each time. The staff was friendly and happy to share general vehicular knowledge, and recommended several body shops in both Kaneohe and Town that might buff out the scratch on my wife's car. read more

I was totally overdue for an oil change. I'd been putting it off because in my mind it was too time consuming. I decided to finally get it done this morning and boy am I glad that I chose Jiffy Lube. I pulled up expecting to wait in line for service, to my surprise...I was the only person there. They instructed me to go inside and have a seat in the waiting area. Waiting area: Small (about 10 chairs), has a TV, magazines, water fountain and free coffee. Nothing fancy, but considering I was only there for 15 minutes...it offered more than enough! Service: The extremely friendly Assistant Manager helped me and explained everything they were going to do and everything that was recommended based on my mileage. Being a typical female, I signed up for everything to be done. He stopped me and said "let me take a look at all these things first and then we can decide." I appreciated his honesty and that he wasn't interested in wasting my time or money. At the end of everything, it turned out all I needed was the oil change, he advised me to hold off on the other things. 5-Star rating for saving me time and money. Why on earth would I give five stars to a chain oil change company? Let me elaborate.... I spaced all week getting my oil changed and had a mini panic attack Sunday morning that I'd have to wait a couple more weeks to get a weekday off to go do it. Wait for it..........Jiffy Lube is open on Sundays! Can you believe it?? I didn't care how long I would have to wait, they were OPEN. There was no line and, although I wished I had timed it exactly, I felt like it was done in 15 minutes! All of the staff is super nice (thanks, Roy!), the parking lot is easy to get in and out of (unlike some places downtown), and they offer a military discount! :) I was very pleased with my entire experience. I got serviced at the Punchbowl location by Rogelyn, Albert, Mana and Nate today. My first experience months ago was at the location next to Jollibee I think in Kalihi area? They sold me as that first experience was stellar. Next, I went to the Moilili/Kaimuki location near Beretania and King. Was not a good experience as the general vibe was they were doing me a favor. The general attitude was not customer friendly and they were no where near as thorough as that Jollibee location. Because they're so close to my home, I figured I'd give them another try, maybe I just hit them on a bad day. It was empty, I pulled up in front of an empty bay and waited 10 minutes... two guys walked by totally ignoring me. I could hear the crew talking story in their break room. After 10 minutes, I pulled out an left for the Punchbowl location. Despite it being a very small garage, they were on me right away, friendly and polite. I did have to wait for two cars but it was worth the wait. The crew was very attentive. The Beretania location would be so convenient and it is a larger facility in a great location.... wish they would rotate the Jollibee or Punchbowl crew to Beretania! read more

This location is a bit hard to find, but if you live or work near downtown you've probably driven by it several times as it is on the punchbowl on-ramp, but it looks like a regular gas station. I've always had good service from jiffy lubes in California and Hawaii, they are always friendly and upfront about their services and if they always ask permission if they are going to do something to your car. Pretty good service! I normally go to the dealership for oil changes and other services but I wanted to come here for once. Very good and quick customer service and complimentary coffee/tea inside while you wait (but there's really not much of a wait). I guess I came in when it wasn't busy, thankfully. I got the full synthetic oil change for my baby and it included all sorts of inspections including interior floor vacuuming and window cleaning. Overall my first experience with Jiffy Lube has been very good. They also have military discounts. So instead of $87+, I saved $7. Saved me a plate lunch's worth haha.
