I went in and got my oil changed on 04/06. I had my cabin filter changed as well. When I went to my mechanic a couple of weeks later, he discovered that the replacement filter did not fit my car. I paid $40 bucks to have this changed. I know that filters range from $10-$20 and I could have changed it myself but I decided to pay to just get it done. Common team, at the very least, put in the right filter. Do I feel ripped off? Absolutely. I don't like leave places feeling I can't trust the workers. read more

I came by to Jiffy Lube just to have my safety check done. It was a jiffy and painless process! One thing to note though is that safety checks are by appointment only. I had tried to get it done by walking in and they told me that I had to make an appointment. I had tried reaching them over the phone, but no one answered. After coming back another day, the process was fast. I stopped by, told them I had an appointment, and it was done shortly after. I did not have to wait long at all and was happy to be out quickly. Went in for an oil change and wasn't disappointed. The worker who greeted me had excellent customer service skills and went over all my options. Everything was explained thoroughly. As soon as I was out of the car another worker put plastic lining on my seat and a paper floor mat which was a nice touch and then the service writer asked if I wanted to wait outside or inside. When I said inside he didn't just point to the door he directed me and opened the door for me. The waiting room is comfortable and clean with a TV set and coffee. While I waited the service writer showed me both the cabin and engine air filters and let me know they were fine and didn't need changing. In less than 20 minutes my car was ready. Wish the price was lower for an oil change, but overall I am impressed with the attention to details, excellent customer service and good attitude of the all the workers I encountered. You can tell the owner of this establishment cares about their business and it definitely shows. I will definitely be back again.j read more

I planned on waking up early on a Saturday morning so I could get an oil change. I actually went to a different JL location, one that's closer to where I live. I got there at 8am and there were already 3 lines of cars, 3 cars deep. Yikes! So I quickly Yelped the next closest JL and it was this hidden gem! I'm so glad too because there were no cars. I drive right up and 2 employees promptly came out. She did the usual paperwork and they started on the oil change. I was sitting in the waiting room for no more than 10 minutes (that's what I guessed) and I looked over and saw my car. Initially I thought something was wrong but my name was called to come to the counter and pay! Talk about awesome service. I'm used to waiting at least 45 minutes. I have come to this Punchbowl location for many, many years and have taken this location for granted. After making the biggest mistake of my life going to the Beretania/University location a couple weeks ago, I realized that my 5-star review of this location is long overdue. What's the saying? "If it's too good to be true, it is." I should've known - I drove past the Beretania location around 2:30 in the afternoon and it was completely empty. The in-take person was rude and unfriendly; the service took forever (and I was the first (and only one) in line; and, worst of all, they wanted to charge me $8 just to vacuum only the front. This Punchbowl location has ALWAYS been welcoming; staff always friendly; service quick; and, everything explained in detail. I know this location can get busy; but, it is well worth the wait!! Needed an oil change and called around a few places closer to my neighborhood. You would be surprised that a lot of auto shops don't do oil changes these days! However, one of the shops recommended I come to jiffy lube. I called jiffy lube and they said it was a first come first serve basis so luckily it was not a peak time. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Service was friendly and quick! Can't really complain about anything. In addition, yelp had a discount of $10 off an oil change. They'll also top off your oil for you if needed. I'll definitely be back here for the next time I need to get a quick oil change. read more

Wanted a simple answer as to whether or not I can receive a copy of my Safety Check...no point person to take the time to help me out. What was understood was that they are always extremely busy. However, customer service was 1/10 and no manager on site to talk with. 100% of the fault lies on me for misplacing my Safety Check paper but sometimes a little eye contact and care goes a long way even by saying "I'm sorry we're extremely busy...". Called earlier in the morning to get a safety check done on my car. Was able to get an appointment the same day, as I called fairly early in the morning. This Jiffy Lube is located right near the Punchbowl on ramp going toward H1 West. The shop is a little small and the entrance is from Lusitania. I was able to get my safety check done fairly quickly after arriving & got a few other things done while here too. I recommend to make an appointment for services but if you happen to just drive in they will accommodate between scheduled appointments. They will quote you a time and they have never gone over the time stated. Seriously the customer service here is TOP KNOTCH. My husband and I have had our cars serviced here, safety inspections and oil changes - so four total trips thus far. EVERYONE is always so friendly, courteous and just down right genuine. I think their work must become routine and repetitive, which personally for me can get boring and annoying at times but it doesn't show here, it left me in awe and made me smile. Thank you Jiffy Lube staff for making my our experiences awesome, a part of me wishes I had other car maintenance related things to do besides the normal yearly services lol. Rogelyn is a professional and solid customer service agent who made me feel at ease when I brought my car in for an oil change without an appt. I'm especially was impressed that they checked my air filters, both cabin and engine, both were disgustingly dirty. (I assumed previous trips to auto shops would have taken care of the filters.) This JiffyLube shop is slightly smaller than other locations, but their service is exceptionally good! I came in for an oil change and safely check. My car has developed so many issues that needed immediate attention and I was so glad that the guy working on my car was very patience and knowledgable about cars to clarify all my concerns. Sadly no one wanted to take me in because it was 4:40PM. Luckily, I came across Jiffy Lube (Punchbowl). I gave them a call & Paula was glad to take me in! This time of the day & mind you they close at 6pm! I got to their location in 7 minutes (I live up the road). Both workers were happy to greet us and right off the bat Paula knew why my car was making a funny (singing) noise. She offered me the best oil & made great pointers about my vehicle (I have an 05 car). She knows what she is doing and she's great at it! I rolled into the JL on Punchbowl around 9:30 am today(no appointment). I was promptly greeted by Rogelyn. I told her that this was my first time here and that I did not have an appointment but wanted an oil change if they had the time. No problem! Since I was a first timer, I got out of my vehicle so Rogelyn could finish checking me in and the crew started to get to work. I have used JIffy Lubes in the past on the mainland(I have only been here three weeks), but I have NEVER had the level of service that Rogelyn, Albert, Bobby and Joseph provided me today. This Jiffy Lube location was a little busy at first, so I had to wait about 15 minutes to be checked in. Rogelyn helped check me in. She was very attentive to my concerns, patient, and friendly. What I liked about this location was that they used a plastic bag to put on your chair cover before sitting in it to move it. Not sure if the Aiea location used plastic to put on car seats, because my husband took his car to that location and when he picked his car up it smelled like @ss.
