I went in and said I needed an emissions test and get my registration renewed. I even handed them the reminder card. No other customers were there. They told me it would be 20 minutes. 45 minutes later they said my car was done, but they didn't have the sticker for my car so I'd have to go to a different jiffy lube. When I said it would be great if you told people that up front, I was met with a blank stare and no response. I won't be back. read more

I came in for an oil change, and I was in and out very quickly. I wasn't hassled for any extra services which I GREATLY appreciated. I had a coupon and ended up paying 65 or 70$ for my synthetic blend in a Buick Enclave. I know prices of oil are going up, and this was the first change in my new car so I wasn't use to the price but it was no problem. The mechanics were very friendly, and I definitely plan on returning! Only thing I was concerned about was my oil level monitor in my car hadn't been reset, but I reset it myself, so that was no problem. read more

I came here for a full synthetic oil change and they offered me a tire rotation for $10. It was a good price so my boyfriend added it on. When we went to check out, they were charging $25 instead. We questioned them and they dropped it to $15 which was nice of them, but still not what we were quoted. The other thing that irritated me is that they charged an additional $10 for an oil filter. I've had numerous oil changes at Jiffy Lube and I can't recall one time that I've been charged extra for an oil filter. Normally that's always included in the oil change price. They did do the job in a fairly quick manner and the staff was very friendly, but I really doubt I'd come back to this location. This oil change cost me $30 more than my last oil change at a different Jiffy Lube and the only difference was supposed to be the $10 tire rotation. read more

VERY BAD went in to get my oil changed. 2 hour wait when told it would be 45 mins. they then didn't secure the bottom cover of my car and after driving halfway home it started clanking and dragging on the road. I had to pull over and use phone chargers to tie it up myself so that I could safely drive back. they fixed it and then tried to send me away before my dad demanded that they give me a refund. they ended up giving me a coupon for a free oil change and replaced one of the phone chargers but I honestly don't even know that I would feel comfortable giving this place my business again to use the coupon. very disappointed and all around frustrated at the $100 and 3.5 hours I spent for what felt like absolutely shitty results. read more

Jiffy Lube in Kaysville leaves a lot to be desired. Today 8/11/23 I brought my truck in for in emission inspection. I was told the wait would be 15 minutes which I could handle. After 45 minutes of patiently waiting I asked how much longer the wait would be... Again I would told the wait would be about 15 minutes. A short time later I noticed my truck was pulled into the shop and figured they had started to work on my truck. After waiting for 2 hours I went to check on my truck and found they hadn't even started to work on it. I was so upset I left and went home. These people do not deserve to be in business. I have never written a bad review and today is my first. I am done with Jiffy Lube. read more

I took my car in not that long ago to get my tire mounted and balanced all that jazz and i sat there for nearly 2 1/2 hours just for them to tell me my lug nuts were "stripped" and they had to get me new ones original price was around 20ish dollars end price was around 60-70 dollars what a joke read more

Went in for emissions and registration renewal. One car/customer ahead of me and five employees there. I waited in their waiting room for 75 minutes total. Emissions testing takes 15-30 tops depending upon the car. At 45 minutes, after the customer ahead of me had been gone for 15 minutes, I asked one employee who wandered through how much longer it would be. He told me they were almost done. A few minutes later, two employees emerged together from a single-person restroom (with the toilet still flushing and zero hand washing) and commented about being sent home early because there was nothing to do. Finally, when the person who appeared to be in charge checked me out, I mentioned it had taken longer than expected and that I would have come back another time had I known, he immediately copped a tone and attitude and told me that the job ahead of me "required special tools and that he couldn't control what happens with another customer." Okay, buddy, perhaps not. But you can control the dialogue. Someone/anyone who works there could have touched base with me and let me know that they were aware that I was in their store. You could offer even an insincere apology for the wait. Costs you nothing, but may save the business relationship. I held my tongue when I realized that he absolutely didn't get it...I wasn't going to have any effect on his cluelessness. He continued to "chatter" as he entered the many required things into the computer to check me out and process my registration, with several not-so-subtle comments about things taking time. The 'final straw' was when he said that he had gone over and above by driving my car around to the front rather than making me do it myself. Uhhhh, same number of steps for me either way, buddy. These may sound like petty things, and I am aware that customer service died with Covid. I get it that these people have no emotional investment in the success of that business. But having trained service for many years in my career, it still matters to me. Poor service plus an in-your-face attitude are deal breakers for me. Next time, I'll sit in the 6-car-deep line up the street and give them my business. And my positive review. read more

I went in to ask about a tune up. Then I told them I had a problem with my car misfiring. They said they would fix it. They did a bunch of unnecessary work. Didn't fix the problem and charged me over $500. They manipulated my situation to make money and didn't even fix my problem. 2 days after I took my car to them my check engine light came on. Do not go to these guys. They're crooks. I contacted the franchise owner and he didn't even help. Offered me a free oil change. What a joke! I posted this review on another site. Another one of their employees offered to help. Turned he was just a worker under the franchise owner. Which was weird. Why would he reach out? It was posted under that specific Jiffy Lube. Unless he's a liar and and that's what they do. Make you think they care about customer service. I contacted him but nope same thing. Offered me a free oil change. They probably do that so you'll go in and then they can try to get you to purchase more unnecessary work. What a scam!! read more

I needed the oil changed but I also asked if they could renew my vehicle registration form (the answer is no). Anyway they did an emissions test, it came back as bad because an old sensor is burned out. They tried to sell me an entire exhaust manifold. Wasn't worth the wait, prefer to do it myself. read more

i normally go to the store in layton but decided to try the closer store to me in kaysville for an oil change in my ram 3500 diesel. went in and the feels that helped me i believe was either the owner or the manager. the usual process of getting signed went as expected and i asked him to check my brakes s they were making a grinding noise. he said sure we will check all your brakes for ya. after about 20 mins or so he came in and said you're all ready and your brakes are all fine to which i said so, why are they making noise. any way i decided not to accept his word and took it home and jacked it up and took off the front left and rear left wheels to discover that the rear brake pads were down to the rivets on the inside rear and nearly as bad up front. i don't understand why they didn't actually inspect them as they could've possibly sold me a brake job as well as the fluid change. i ordered new rotors and pads since the two rotors i had checked were scarred pretty bad and replaced it all. gladi did since all four were in bad shape. very disappointed with the service and being lied to. don't use this sham of a service center. go anywhere else. seriously anywhere else. i don't like being lied to my face. maybe you do but i doubt it. read more

I just took my car into this location to get an oil change. I have NEVER met ruder, lazier employees in my life!!! I pulled in and the garage was empty but no one came out to help me or tell me which bay to pull into. After failing to get their attention, I parked and went into the business to see if someone there would acknowledge me. I waited almost ten minutes and then walked back outside to go into the garage myself. Three men and a woman were standing around doing nothing. I asked if someone would help me. A fellow said it was first come, first serve so I should have just pulled in. Gee, why didn't I think of that?!? He was extremely rude and condescending so I left. I will never go to that business again. Jiffy Lube should retrain those employees. They were terrible. read more

I've been here twice with two different vehicles. I usually only come to Jiffy Lube when I have a coupon. The workers have always been very professional and courteous. They also did pretty quick work on both of my cars. They always come to me and tell me what may be in need of replacing which helps me plan for the future. For others though it might just scare them. Pro tip: 9 times out of 10 Mechanic shops will try and add on extras. They make a big margin on convincing people to upgrade or replace small parts they feel are in need of service. DO YOUR RESEARCH!! If you came in for a 50 dollar oil service, don't let anyone convince you to pay 200. Unless you have done your research on what they are selling. I had been here several times over the last couple of years for oil changes and to have my car's annual emissions test done. With the coupons the prices were good. However, each time the service seems to have a been a little worse. After the last time I had the oil changed the car started leaking oil almost immediately afterwards. I took the car to a different garage where they said that when Jiffy Lube replaced the oil pan plug, they lost the washer that went between the pan and the plug and squirted sealant around the plug, but it didn't hold. It was easy enough to replace the washer, but they really should have done it themselves or at least told me they lost it. I had a mess to clean up in my driveway and my car smelled of leaked oil until it all burned off the engine. I reported the incident in their follow-up email survey and said I'd like to be contacted from someone at the dealership, but no one ever bothered to phone or email me. I won't be back and I would NOT recommend this place. read more

REVISED: I took the van in today and the manager essentially took care of the problem. The guy that worked on the brakes initially wasn't there, but the manager and one other nice employee worked the problem out. There is no more clunking or scraping sounds from the back. The brakes feel like they should. I can tell they took their time this time around to make sure things were proper. ------------------------ PREVIOUS REVIEW: For 30 years Jiffy Lube has been the company we have always used for lubes, safety inspections/emissions, and car registration/renewal. I concur that with others that, in recent years Jiffy Lube has changed their business model where they are constantly trying to upsell the customer on their additional, very expensive services. Also, they have been raising their oil/lube prices by a considerable amount, where once they used to be reasonably priced. Anyway, just before thanksgiving my wife took our Toyota Sienna in for the state required emissions test and to get our registration sticker. While she was waiting one of the technicians convinced my wife to let them check the brakes. They told her that the back brake pads were in dire need of replacement. So they convinced her she needed to get them done. She relented and they charged her $200(!!) for $40 worth of brake pads. That's $160 *#%*^# dollars in labor. That alone is outrageous. What a scam! But on top of all this the van now has a clunking sound coming from the back every time we go over a bump. I'm heading in to their location tomorrow to let the manager know exactly how much they screwed us over and have them fix the clunking noise coming from the back. If they can't/won't fix the noise I'll be taking the vehicle or to a local mechanic I trust and bill Jiffy Lube for fking up our car. read more

Isaac, an employee there, immediately asked how he could help me and very kindly went above and beyond to check my oil situation and carefully amswer my questions. Pulled into a bay was immediately greeted by an employee who told me I was up next after the car in front of me. 3 minutes later greeted by another employee who said the same thing. 10 minutes later another employee greeted me, then told me I needed to pull into a parking spot because another car was next. There isn't an option for zero stars. My car did not pass safety inspection because of the wiper blades. The kid at the counter tried to sell me wiper blades several times and when I refused he told me he would have to fail my car. He proceeded to do so and told me that he could pass my car if I would just buy the blades. I left the store and went and had my vehicle inspected elsewhere not one question was asked about my windshield wipers. I was told it was a 45 minute wait for an inspection. 1 hour 30 minutes later they had a laundry list of things that were wrong with my car. Air filter, low coolant, bulbs, screw in tire, windshield. Felt like they were trying to up-sell me. Half of them were not even necessary to pass the inspection. I will never trust Jiffy Lube with my car again. Sketchy. Screw was only in tread and another place passed my windshield under new requirements. Never, never, ever go back. read more

I only wanted an oil change and it only took 30 minutes which wasn't too long however, I was told by an associate that it was only going to cost $100 I was charged $236 for a bunch of stuff I did not want at all and I was a little ticked when I got the receipt. This Jiffy Lube location is just bad. I live less than 5 minutes away, called ahead, he said he had no wait and would get me right in. 5 minutes later I pulled up, one car had come in that time, but he said he was almost done, and would have my car in the bay in 5 minutes. 45 minutes later my car was still sitting out front! It took them an hour and 25 minutes to give me an oil change, when there was litterally no wait 5 minutes before I got there. Ridiculous. And to make matters worse, they pulled my cabin air filter and didn't put my glove box back together. The next morning, I open my glove box and it completely fell off, all the contents AND PARTS to keep it in place fell all over. They pulled the air filter that didn't need to be replaced, told me it did, then just tossed the parts back in and slammed it shut. Seriously? Needless to say, I will never be back, nor will anyone I know if I can help it. read more

Went in for an oil change and asked for them to check my brakes. They told me that my brakes were practically worn to nothing. They can't actually fix the brakes but recommended another jiffy lube that could. I went to Les Schwab down the street to get it fixed because it was closer. They told me there were no problems with my brakes besides my brake pad sensor was out. I had a problem with my Ford Escape that I'm leasing leaking oil. So I stopped in to see if they could take a look so I could find out what was the issue. The guys were great to take a look and found that it was a very loose oil filter when I had it last serviced by the dealer. They put on a new filter and topped off the two quarts it was alldone very promptly and at no charge. Genuine and concerned service is hard to come by in this day so it is great to know it still exists. WELL DONE to Steven and your crew there in Kaysville! read more

Took my truck there for oil change. The mechanic took off my tires, so I walked up to him and asked him that I don't need anything done to my tires. He replied, "we've always done this to make sure the vehicle is well inspect." So I told him to put it back on and stood there until he completed his job. Why Jiffy Lube gotta be shady!!! The Layton and Ogden location always find something wrong with my vehicle when I take it for Safety and Emission. I'm giving up hope for Jiffy Lube. read more

The manager contacted me about my experience which is impressive. I haven't called him back yet but I'll add a couple of stars for his efforts. My advice is still to just change my oil, don't give me a sales pitch about everything my car "might" need. Jiffy Lube doesn't hire trained mechanics they hire teenagers so I don't think they know enough anyway. If I want my car tuned up I'll take it to a qualified mechanic. read more
