I am a disabled individual and felt that Geoff D. and the other female attendant went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in their establishment. Took my 2015 Chevy Equinox for an oil change in September 2017. Fast forward to today, when after 6 months of driving my car told me it needed an oil change. I went to Valvoline (where I normally take my car), and when they pulled the dipstick out I saw it from inside my car and did a double take. The oil was black and chunky and when they showed it to me up close it was milky. They asked me if I had kept my receipt from the last oil change; I sheepishly handed over the one from Jiffy Lube. Turns out, they had put regular oil in my synthetic blend EcoEngine. We specifically told Jiffy Lube in September that synthetic is what to put into my car. Even if we would not have made mention of that, aren't they trained to know that? I had to pay an extra $60 for an engine flush to get the chunky, crappy, old oil out of there. I have made a mental note to never take my car to Jiffy Lube again. While they may be friendly and vacuum my car for me, it's not worth possibly blowing a gasket! Most Jiffy Lube shops will try to sell you on a ton of stuff you DO NOT need. I went in recently and they tried to sell me on a new radiator cap, air filter and engine flush among other things. The cap was like new and the air filter was reasonably clean and most manufacturers (Hyundai, Nissan, Honda) to name a few, specifically recommend against engine flushes but Jiffy Lube WILL tell you regardless that the manufacturer recommends it every 30,000 miles. Most modern vehicles do not need them and it's well documented they can cause more harm than good. Do yourself a favor and go to a local shop that won't rip you off. read more

I was visiting from out of town borrowing my MOMS car and I curbed it--and blew the tire. Being a stereotypical millennial female I seriously had no idea what to do. I pulled into Jiffy Lube and Justin came out to greet me. I explained what had happened and he put on the spare and showed me where all the tools were stored in the trunk for future reference. Not only did they discover a valve that needed replacing, they also helped me fix my indicator light and took care of my check engine light for me. Came back for a second visit and without fail was met as I pulled up and this time by ANN. After specifying what I needed done, I leisurely observed the staff and their interaction with other customers. Wondering if it was just my personality that brought great service on my last visit or was this genuinely unique to this location. A retired navy customer walked away happy with their service. I was impressed! To see the camaraderie amongst each other made me feel like I was looking at a well oiled machine. The left knew what the right was doing. Communication was on point and they hustled as they worked. It was amazing to watch. I met with assistant manager ALICIA, technician JOHN, manager JOHN ALLISON. It was a good feeling that BARTON approached me and remembered my last visit asking if everything was okay with the last service. I've been to this Jiffy Lube before and I never recieved any bad service in particular. They just went through new management and the service is even better in my opinion. They go through an evaluation with you on paper and not super quick on a computer which is great for those of us that are not super car savvy. They also went back to doing a couple of things that I think was a hit or miss before. For example, they checked my tire pressure and filled them up for me and washed my windows and those were inconsistent services before. I would recommend this Jiffy Lube if the price sits right with you. My car requires synthetic oil so I'm going to pay a lot regardless- I might as well come here where I get the most bang for my buck! read more

I would never go back to this place. I had my oil changed here. They then recommended that I get a coolant and transmission fluid flush and replacement. I did as they recommended. I went to my next oil change at another oil change place and they recommended the same service because it didn't look like it had been changed. When I went back to this shop they wouldn't do anything about it. They were quite rude about it as well. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend or anyone for that matter. read more

I had planned on changing my oil with my fiance at our house. I went and got all the stuff to do it. When we attempted to do so, we discovered the bolt we needed to remove was just stripping. So we decided to just go to jiffy lube and get it done. Luckily, they were able to use my oil and filter that I had bought, they gave me a discount for providing my own stuff and it took them LESS than 10 minutes to do the actual oil change. MAY 11th I took my car into this Jiffy Lube. Upon completion they pulled my car out. Several of the employees stood near my car as I neared it. I noticed a significant change in the sound of my engine. I asked why it sounded that way and they all shrugged their shoulders. I got in my car and it stalled and died. So they gave me a jump and told me my battery level was low. I took off and only got around the corner when my car stuttered then completely died and I pulled into the Fred Meyers parking lot. I walked back to Jiffy Lube and asked, why is my car not operating when it was fine before? They stated that it must be the alternator. So we changed the alternator ($240). They gave me a jump and told me that if it dies again that I must need a battery. So I took off and down the road it died again. So, I sent my wife to bring me a new battery ($150). I replaced it and it started. I was able to drive it home a few miles down the road. A few days later I had to go into Tacoma. On my way home I had the same issue, the car stuttered and died. I had to tow it to a garage in Lacey ($200). They inspected my vehicle and found that the main power fuse was MISSING. Completely missing. They charged $50 for the diagnostic and replacement of the fuse. There is NO WAY that fuse could be missing unless someone opened my hood, opened the fuse box then removed the fuse. All of this started when I was at Jiffy Lube. The manager said that they went "above and beyond for me." Well Mr Above and Beyond, thanks for that above and beyond $600 oil change and for not calling me but relaying it through another Jiffy Lube manager. This is the last time that I will ever go to a Jiffy Lube and you can bet that with 100,000 local social media fans, this story will be shared widely. Incidentally, the garage also told me that this was not the first car that they have seen from your Jiffy Lube with this same exact issue. I think an investigation needs to be conducted. Update: it is the end of August and although got the generic email, nothing else. Stay away. read more

The best oil change service around! I arrived shortly after the store opened and the two employees that were there were extremely kind and helpful. Upon further inspection of my car they saw that I needed a new air filter and that they do not have the type my car needs in-store. He immediately hopped on the phone and checked with an auto parts store to see if they had it in stock and then he DROVE TO GET IT! He was back in minutes and had it installed in no time. Went in on a Thursday and got the oil changed on my 05 work van. (I'm a owner/operator) I felt that they did a good job so I gave the guys a tip! The next day I was on a job and I had walked out to the van to grab some equipment and noticed that there was a puddle under my van. It wasn't in the normal spot where the evaporator drains, so I crawled under and found that the drain plug was finger tight and leaking. I took my van in the next day......... I pulled up to the roll up doors and the tech was clearly not happy that I was there with invoice in hand and that there was a issue. Being a HVAC tech for the past 30 years and owning my own company and like to think that attention to detail is important. Within minutes "your van is old, oil level is fine have a good day". That was it. A complete waste of the techs time. I took care of the low oil and the loose plug Myself! Don't ever take your vehicle to 4102 pacific ave jiffy lube. THEY DONT CARE!! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday to get a synthetic top off 3/4 of a qt. Low and it had to be a project to look up my car. Because they didn't have documentation of my oil that I said is synthetic. I stopped in for a headlight change & upon leaving the parking lot I heard a loud bang & a clunking noise. The attended came over to see what the problem was at which point we found the wrappers left on the top off the engine. Later on after leaving, thinking the problem was resolved, I began to hear the same banging noise under the hood. Only to find pliers & the 2nd wrapper stuck down next to the engine. Seriously guys!!!! I pay $50 for a service that would have potentially wrecked my car & led to a bigger service bill. I have been a customer with you guys for 19-20yrs. I went to this Jiffy Lube last week to get my oil changed. The customer service was great they were very helpful and did not try to upsell me on my services like every other place choose to do. I would give this four to five stars however when I left my car actually overheated. When I pulled over I found that I had absolutely no fluids in my car whatsoever. This place is extremely overpriced. I went in to get a standard oil change and they said because I needed a synthetic blend it would be $60. Outside they advertise $30 oil changes but that must not include any vehicles that were manufactured after 1990. I have always been a customer so when my oil life registered 15% and the little wrench sign came on the dashboard of my Honda CR-V I drove in for an oil change. They quickly told me I still have 1500 miles before it was due and only needed to top off the oil. They checked all the fluids and tires and didn't charge me a penny! That is SERVICE! This is literally the worst customer service experience I've ever had. A day after taking our van to get an oil change here, we had no oil in our van and nearly destroyed our engine. According to the district manager Cody Ryalls, there were no problems when we left because they performed a pressure test. Yet, there is no line item on my receipt that shows a pressure test being done. A car buddy of mine told me that type of equipment is expensive and not usually carried by chain stores like Jiffy Lube. We requested proof of the equipment being installed and that a pressure test was done. Cody ignored that request and never responded to that. Jiffy Lube then had the van towed to J&H Auto which they recommended. J&H Auto then proceeded to give me 3 diagnosis in 3 days. First the owner, Jon told me that the engine will be replaced and not to worry, Jiffy Lube will take good care of me and I was happy. The next day I call Cody to find out what's going on with the rental car since I have school and work and my wife works and my kids are involved in athletics and we need a rental immediately. He tells us that the oil filter O-Ring is cracked and that since it was a faulty part Jiffy Lube was responsible. The next day the story changed again, now it's a leaking oil cooler hose. Cody even sent me a low quality You Tube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USqb8Ki85T0 I guess trying to prove that this is a known issue. I find it quite suspicious that the third diagnosis I received just happened to be a "known issue". Furthermore, if it is a known issue, why didn't Jiffy Lube recommend I replace it? They told me I needed new tail lights and windshield wipers and tried to sell me all sorts of crap that doesn't need to be done. But somehow, they didn't mention this part. On top of that, we had a full vehicle inspection done about three months prior as we do every year around tax time and the mechanic said that everything looked great. My final issue is the promises Cody made that he's not fulfilling. He told me that he would cover the cost of the rental car and the cost of the part. However, after the 3 different diagnosis from J&H we didn't feel comfortable with them working on our van and had the vehicle towed to Ben's Automotive. We had told Cody from the get-go that if we didn't feel comfortable with the auto place they chose, we would like to have someone else look at it, and he said that was perfectly fine and that he understood. However, after we actually towed it, he changed his story, saying that he would no longer cover the cost of the part because now Jiffy Lube is incurring additional charges, which they aren't. Our insurance covered the tow and we had to pay out of pocket to have the oil cooler hose replaced. There's more bullshit that happened, but I think you get the picture here. I would NEVER go to this place again!!!! read more

When I asked if they had checked my tire pressure they assured me they had. When I got in, I checked my dash indicator & found they hadn't added any air to bring the tire pressure up to recommended levels. When I told them what the manufacturers recommendation was (as printed on the inside of the door) & asked them to add more air they tried to tell me it would even out after I drove around for 20 minutes. I didn't feel like arguing so told them I'd be back the next day. When I went back the next day to again have them bring the pressure up to where it is supposed to be, the same woman who did the oil change told me one rear tire was 20 percent low because it has a leak and that my car's indicator must be off. What attitude. Since when is tire pressure measured in percentages? I could see that it hadn't changed from the day before. It was only a matter of 5 lbs. of pressure but when I pay for service I expect to get it without a bunch of attitude and lies. I'll be looking for someplace new to take my car for service. read more
