They're very close to my house & they're always extremely accommodating & friendly. All car repairs are expensive but here they're at least reasonable. I'd recommend them to anyone with a car. He uses this establishment because he says they treat him "right". Far from home but I work on their side of town. Before I made the appointment I asked the price for a basic oil change and to have them check a tire that was always low after a few days. Their answer: DEPENDS. You can't pin down a price because they change everything on you as they go. Why can't basic oil change/synthetic for X car model be XXX? I am pretty particular with my car since it has been well taken care of and I was tired of price gouging and upselling by all the car dealers. When I arrived the mechanic guy finally came in and he seemed very odd to me because he did not seem to understand my questions: as in what will X and Y cost me with taxes, disposal fees, etc. He was an older man. Finally gave me prices but added that those prices might change. HUH? It took over 5 hours for them to inspect the tire, and a simple oil change after I was told to return in an hour. When I got there some other tech came to me and said I needed a list of things, etc. WUT? Nonsense. OK I said I will bring the car back and do each as I can afford, oh boy, my remark INCENSED the chubby man who overheard my conversation with the tech. OH NO YOU MUST DO THIS as soon as possible... WTH? I KNEW none of the other "repairs" were needed. I wanted confirmation about these bogus recommendations and to see why and what their reasons were for having them done? Possibility of XYZ equals NONE to me and he did not even code those possibilities. Not enough care and time to write up what was needed. Quality of work is shoddy too, car did not run better, was the same with the tire. THE dirty and sneaky repair shop is what I call them. OH and my friend loves them because he pays ANY PRICE these guys ask and yes they fix it promptly if you pay whatever THEY ASK, but mark up and cost of labor is in the stratosphere. There is no value in this shop unless desperation is your only choice. The lower techs are nice but the tech mgrs, office managers are rude, inconsiderate, and have no idea how to do business other than the Cro-Magnon way!! Workmanship is shoddy, zero customer service, very dirty place and no place to sit and wait. Scare tactics are just ridiculous and pricing is HIGHER than the car dealers. NEVER AGAIN. I would not recommend Greenbelt Auto and Truck Repair to ANYONE!

I went in yesterday to have my oil changed . Unfortunately it was pretty lousy experience. When I…read morepulled up there was one car ahead of me and there were 4 bays that I think had cars in all of them . I think it took around 10 minutes before I pulled in . The guy helping me tried to add on additional services like filters, a new battery ( this one is 2yrs old ) and flushing the radiator. I appreciated his pointing these things out after I showed him my car had failed inspection for an issue w/ a problem with #4 cylinder and some other things . I declined everything and just went with the oil changed and an additional $4 dollar charge to top off radiator fluid which I thought was part of the $117.00 charge. * no tires checked , no vacuuming, no windows cleaned - noted bc Jiffy Lube does this or at least they used to . Anyway .... The real problem was their card reader couldn't read my debt card. After numerous attempts, and 2 different ppl trying to help, I called my bank . I was on the phone with them for a while and they couldn't see any problem on their end . Unfortunately I didn't bring anything with me except my license and debt card and after what felt like an eternity I finally walked over to Home Depot and bought a lanyard and got cash back . I walked back over and the manager took my payment and she apologized and said they have problems with other cards too . If that's the case they really need to address it or at least let ppl know in advance, post it on their advertising maybe . Fortunately I was off yesterday otherwise I'd have been pissed wasting over an hour there. I think I'll stick with jiffy lube in the future .

The gentleman running the front desk was professionally charismatic and knowledgeable. Without an appointment, he took me right away, within 5 minutes. He put one of his mechanics on it and within another 10 minutes, they found the nail and patched it up. 20 minutes later, I was back on road, after paying the $20 fee, heading to work. I know at other places, it would have taken "all-day" to be seen without an appointment. I really appreciated their care and timely response, and costs I paid for the service. I felt like a valued customer and will return for other services in the future.

Since then I've brought my vehicle back 4 times. Fast forward to 11/21 I had my vehicle TOWED in because the check engine light started to flash (as shown in video) I originally dealt with Steven, that's whom I dealt with the whole time since bringing my car there, days went by, then I called twice since I didn't hear any updates as to what was going on, allegedly Steven was out sick so I spoke with James who would tell me what he thinks I wanna hear & give me the run around, weeks went by I called AGAIN, spoke with Steven, this time he told me "he doesn't know anything about the vehicle James is dealing with it & he's not in at the moment" at this point I'm started to get pissed, so I decided to pop up there 12/18 since there has been poor communication on what is going on with the vehicle. When I get there Steven tells me they still don't know why the car is misfiring or the check engine light is blinking. I had my car TOWED in at 163,538 miles(as pictured in video), when I got the car back 12/18 it was 163,615(as pictured) with NO GAS IN THE CAR & that is 77 MILES OVER. I understand that a mechanic had to drive the car around to figure out what's going on but 77 MILES IS COMPLETELY INSANE & UNACCEPTABLE!!! At this point I'm starting to think these are a bunch of basement mechanics they are only good for oil changes, brakes & rotors (the basic stuff) that's just driving people vehicles around & not really fixing anything. The worst experience ever I should've known having to go back 3x's for the same issue. Don't waste your time.

I arrived at the shop 20-30 min after that phone call and found that the car would not start when I arrived. As mentioned previously the car was running and was driven to their shop and had to be towed out. The owner states they would like to handle this offline. As stated they will not return my calls and in the time it took to write that response he could have called me but did not. They did not charge me (I would hope not after damaging my car and performing unauthorized work) but it cost me $1200 to just to repair the damage they caused. The receipt is attached. I don't want anything from them at this point beyond admitting their mistakes and an apology for damaging my car and lying to me about it. But I know that's not going to happen so I just want to warn others to beware of this shop. Use their services at your own risk.

They earned 5 stars because although there were some inconvenient and frustrating scheduling discrepancies that occurred regarding my pick up date, they rectified the situation. The customer service was great. It was easy to get an appointment and connect with my insurance company to get the damage fixed. It has been my intent to call them to see how much they would charge to solely detail my car in the near future because it was that shiny all over and so spotless inside.
