Would give more stars but the service is too inconsistent. Seems like they are understaffed at times and service slows down and wait times are too long. The staff on hand work fast but if you are in a hurry and they are once again short staffed you may as well go elsewhere. I have been an Uber driver for seven years and have taken my car here for inspection many times. But today's experience was something different. The tech said "I'm going to give you a chance to put your car right." I thought that perhaps I had a taillight bulb out. But no...he said he'd have to fail me because "You have a crack in your rear bumper" (a hairline stress crack that's been there as long as I've had the car.) I told him that there is nothing about that on the Uber inspection form. As I say, I've been doing this for years.) I handed him the form and challenged him to find it. He searched and searched and finally pointed to "Windshield: Small crack, large crack." I pointed out that that applied to WINDSHIELDS but he said "No, it's body too." I told him to open the door and I'd go elsewhere. He refused to open the door! I noticed the door behind me was open, so I backed out and took my car to another inspection site where it passed with flying colors of course. I don't know if the guy at Jiffy Lube was looking for a bribe, or if his talk of "giving you a chance to put things right" meant he was going to scam me into some cheap cosmetic body work. All I know is it was a strange and unsettling experience and I've contacted Uber and advised them to decertify this location as an inspection site. read more

Like many other reviewers, I came to Jiffy Lube out of pure necessity and convenience: I swore off the place years ago and now always go to the dealer. However, I wasn't heading that way anytime soon. They were busy and had four other customers in front of me when I arrived at 3pm on a Monday. I pulled up and was greeted by a young female tech who told me to pop my hood and walked me to the waiting room. The waiting area is fine - very warm, leather chairs, complimentary coffee and water, and a unisex bathroom (SQUAT!..go fig). When it was my turn, the young male tech, Dominick, apologized for the wait and then went over the recommended services/add-ons. He wasn't pushy at all when I declined, which is kind of a first and I was pleasantly surprised. He also asked whether I wanted the higher grade oil (nope!), so I'm glad he asked beforehand. I left a little over an hour later. Total cost for my '08 Acura: $36. (JEEBUZ!!1!) I mentioned the alleged AAA discount from Kevin W's Tip, and the tech told me he had never heard of that discount. He checked with another tech as well, who echoed the same. They gave me $5 off anyway ( = $31). Still, the Honda dealership is cheaper, I get a car wash AND, honestly, better peace of mind. (Sorry JL.) I had to go back inside after they rang me out so that I could get a 3000 mile reminder sticker. The tech recorded my CURRENT mileage, so I had to change it. Glad my neurotic arse had a black Sharpie with me.. Definitely not my FIRST choice (or second, really), but as "A-OK" of an experience one could expect at Jiffy Lube. read more

This place blows. It seemed like the dude who took "care" of my car wanted nothing more then to sell me the fuel system cleaning service and radiator flush. My 11 year old ford focus certainly did need it so I finally accepted after he offered me a 20 percent discount (this is why the place will get 1 star from me.) When I finally got my car back I noticed that it was running a bit rougher/louder than usual. I gave it some time to see if was a temporary anomaly but the sound got worse. I think it might be a loose belt, but I won't know until I check with my mechanic. Thanks for possibly screwing my car up with your carelessness, Jiffy Lube! Edit: So I took my car to the mechanic and it turns out that the noise was was coming from my engine because this particular Jiffy Lube PUT THE WRONG OIL in. This resulted in a $450 bill to fix the internal damage. Please avoid this place like the plague! Jiffy Lube has lost my business for life. read more

The staff were friendly, met me at the car, walked me to the waiting room, pointed out the fresh coffee and reading materials and didn't try and BS me into buying something I didn't need. Let me start by saying that I used this location simply for convenience. If I had my way..... When I arrived there was a line. Not really their fault as the other oil change businesses were closed. Thinking they could still get me in and out in about...oh a half hour at most, I pulled in and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, my car gets pulled into the bay. The guys did work on my car...inbetween their side conversations of course, making jokes about anything and everything. So I start watching them work on my car. Instead of focusing on my car, they started focusing on me watching them. Uh....why? You're working on a $40,000 vehicle, you best believe I'm going to make sure YOU DO IT RIGHT. Eventually, my oil was changed, but not before the "fuel cleaner service" was pitched to me...at $79.99. Now I have a brand new car (2010 model year) with just a little over 15,000 miles on it. According to my service manual, it's nowhere near time for that yet. So it was a "uh....no thanks". He pitched it AGAIN. Again...."uh.....no thanks". The sales guy seemed disappointed. Sorry. So when they finally pull my car out of the bay, it seemed to me they couldn't get me out of there fast enough, to the point whereas they LEFT THE PLASTIC COVER ON THE STEERING WHEEL. And I didn't get a "thank you" OR A REMINDER STICKER. So how am I supposed to know when to get the oil changed again? I didn't feel entirely comfortable here, and as such, I'll go back to the other Jiffy Lube location I used to utilize. read more

needed an oil change and an inspection for completed. the car inspection form was preety basic so I figured I would have Jiffy lube complete it for the $20 they charged. All went down hill from there Oil Change Manager came in to the waiting room and informed my that there was a bit of leaking around my oil pan. He recommended an upgrade on the oil I was using to help with the oil leak. Really? I have never heard of higher quality oil fixing or even preventing an oil leak. Surprised they didn't try to sell me turbo charged lug nuts to make my tires last longer car inspection They said my front breaks were almost wore out. I told him they were replace 2 months ago. He then said that maybe they didn't replace all of the pads...again, really? That does not even make sense. Then he said he could be wrong as the tool he used to inspect the brakes may no show the real life of the brake pad, again, REALLY. So you are failing my car for something your not even sure is accurate Here is the kicker I actually did the brakes on my car. (and have much experience in doing so). Also said I had a leaky power steering pump. which appears to be just the usual build up of dirt and grime an engine typically gets.. I have had no reduction in my power steering fluid. I check the levels of all of my fluids so I doubt there is any leak that would be unsafe The kid doing the inspection seemed nervous and was corrected many times by the manager for things he was saying. They should not provide this service if they do not have the capacity to perform it. I am out that $20. I will need to get the inspection done with an actual mechanic.... read more

This place is terrible. I don't even know why I went back, but when I needed my cabin filter replaced, I figured there was minimal opportunity to screw it up... I watched them work on my car, watched the guy try and find a filter to match, which I suspected he couldn't since the auto parts stores I had checked in the area all said it needed to be ordered. The other guy tells me he has to "check in the back" as I need the first guy walking with a saw and a filter. CLEARLY going to just hack it off to make it fit. The sign in the lobby said $39.99, but he charged my $48.00. When I asked why it was more, they said since my car was new they needed a more expensive filter. My car is a 2009, hardly "new". Um... you mean the one you just cut up in the back? Give me a break. After leaving and realizing what a scam it was, I went back and demanded to see the one they had put in my car, to make sure they actually HAD put something in here. I told him I shouldn't have to pay extra bc thy didn't have the right one. He refunded me $15 when I told him I thought the way they o business is total bull. Don't go here. read more

The place is only safely accessible from northbound Main Street. Being right on the SE corner, it's a little dangerous from southbound and even eastbound traffic. Employees are nice and aren't too forceful to upgrade your oil change or get any other services. I brought my own air filter and they installed it for free (didn't want to get my hands dirty). The waiting area has decent OfficeDepot chairs and was sufficiently clean. I got in at 705AM and I was out of there before 720. Despite the $10 off in the morning, it was still a bit pricey, but you do get the top-off services and you're back on the road pretty quick. read more

Took my car in for a basic oil change in the middle of the afternoon and next thing I know my oil pan drain plug was stripped out and I'm having to take my car to the dealer for an oil pan replacement. $800.00 later I had my oil change. These guys don't care and don't know what they are doing. I will never use another Jiffy Lube again. read more

After receiving 19" of snow overnight I was picking someone up this morning. It was 7am. I saw the OPEN sign, stopped in and asked if they were available for service. The GM took care of me, had me in and out in 1 hour. This is a work vehicle which I've been to this location before with, and I have to say I'm pleased every time I go there. I'm at this place right now and only came for an oil change, they upsold me on $150 with a silver standard oil and new duralast gold battery. Came in at 10:15am with only car ahead of me, they got to working on my car within minutes. They ask me what type of oil I want for my car and they say that the mixed synthetic oil is recommend for my car, so I agree. 10 min later the tech/mechanic tells me my battery isn't performing well and that it is at 448 amps and that I lost a cell in the battery. He said that it should be at 575amps. He tells me he has a $20 coupon off for it as well, so I say sure why not, I just got this car recently and it needs to be changed. At 11am he said it's all done and lifts the garage door and he's still working on it to tell me he's blown a fuse and that it'll take a few more minutes. So okay, whatever tell them to his time. I call the autozone next to this jiffy to verify the cost of the battery etc to make sure I'm getting a good deal etc checks out Battery given is actually a duralast pro power battery and not what I paid for 12:03pm my car is inoperable and must be towed to a mechanic shop because they don't know what's going on and are offering me a rental car plus a refund and all mechanic expenses covered I pass on the rental car because I feel that will only lead to more problems They tell me that the tow truck will be here soon and can't give me anymore details as to when everything will be fixed. The car will be towed to Arlington heights to Casey's and that I will have to pick it up What I've received today was deceitful and utterly unacceptable. Really unhappy with our service here. We normally do oil changes through our dealership but decided to try jiffy on a weekend to see if we could get same day service. The customer service was horrendous. The men working there were straight up rude. When asked if we could use a coupon we received blank stares like we were crazy. Was referred to this location due to having a bad experience at another location. The staff explained, re-checked everything that was done at the other place I went to, and were so polite, supportive, and made me feel comfortable with the work they were doing. The manager and staff were overall efficient, quick, knowledgeable, and able to clearly articulate what was going on with my car. I would highly recommend his location; they are a great team. I live pretty far from this location, but given the work they did, (only went for an oil change, but they completed a full analysis of my car) the thoroughness and explanation, I wouldn't go anywhere else. This place is great and the guys are very cool and good at what they do.. I never feel like I am being upsold (I am sure I am - But, I'm good with that) and if I am sold more stuff they do explain it to me... What people should know is that in between the bigger services they do - you can stop in for a top off of any fluids that you might need... That's really a deal of you think about it... Plus these guys at this location are really car smart and offer suggestions on things that they don't even service - They don't send you anywhere, they just tell you what they would do and give you tips. Look it's a oil change place ... The price is right and they do their best... Easy to get into and while not the most comfy waiting room... I have been a jiffy lube customer for 6 years, my car takes conventional and I KNOW for a fact you have conventional and that you KNOW my car also takes conventional. I've been using Jiffy Lube for all my oil changes because it's cheaper than the dealer. When I arrived today, there was no wait. A man came out to greet me before I had even put my car into park. This was a Thursday morning around 9am. I waited about half an hour for my car (I had other work done as well). The tech kept me updated on my car and was very friendly. As they finished up, I realized it was going to cost more than I thought. I voiced my concern before they were finished with my car. The tech smiled and found a lot of discounts for me. I ended up saving a lot and the tech didn't have to do that. I would come back here again. read more

In addition to doing my oil change, they helped me with a nearly flat tire and also pointed out that my stabilizer was detached - it's a repair they are not able to do and they advised me on it regardless. Fast service for less compared to other car repair shops I visited in the past.

I was at Jiffy Lube promptly at 8:55 on a Sunday, they open at 9. I was the first car in line with one gentleman behind me. At 9:01 an employee comes out and says he can't take any vehicles as he is waiting for his other two employees to show up. I felt badly for him as he managed to get to work on time but seriously? I have been going to this location for years, no more and no more Jiffy Lube. I had a very small window of time to get my oil changed. Now have no idea when I will be able to get it done. I hope those employees are reprimanded and the importance of showing up on time is stressed. read more

this place is horrible...they left the oil cap off my car..the oil all ran out and my engine had to be fixed. it took them 6 months to finally mail us a check after they admitted they were wrong. after that they made us sign something saying we wouldn't come after them if the car had more problems...we had to sign or we didn't get ANY money from them.
