Steve is my car. Like most relationships I sorta ignore things until there's a flashing sign saying, "Hey we have problems." When the change oil light comes on (because who pays attention to the sticker on the window) I take him right here. This is the only place I've had my oil changed. The service and staff, for the most part, have always been friendly and professional. I would stick to oil changes or tire rotations or transmission cleanings. Last September, I went in on a Sunday to have my rear driver's side turn signal light bulb replaced. Simple enough? I'm sitting in the lounge and get called out to the bay. My car's taillight is hanging by the wire and I'm told that my whole electrical system is not working. Let's just say that did not go over well because my car didn't have problems and just needed a light replaced. So the last resort was to try another bulb which, for their sake, worked. I kinda got out of there quickly, pop the trunk because I'm thinking "what did they F up?" and saw they half assed screwed in the interior of my car by the taillight section. I even had a wing nut missing. So I was pretty pissed. I debated about returning for an oil change. I decided to give them one more shot. I knew an oil change was something that they never screwed up. So I returned last month and had a completely better experience. It was the same great service and professionalism that I was accustomed to here. I even received 50% because it was my third visit. So Jiffy Lube you have won me over again. Basically I'm chalking up the taillight incident to a different crew that didn't know their ass from a hole in the ground. I have to say, thankfully, it looks like a new and better crew that actually acts more professionally is now staffed here. read more

I normally use the Jiffy on 75th or my car dealer but was in the area, had a little time and they were offering $10 off a standard oil change. Staff was the usual friendly but two things knocked the star rating down. 1. a loooooooong wait for my car for the two cars that were ahead of me and already in the bay 2. on my receipt it said they vacuumed my car. When I called and asked how long the wait was the gentleman said about 30min which was true and I appreciate his honesty. Brandon and the other gentleman took care of the oil change and showed me all my options and showed me what else was low or needed change which as a girl I appreciate cause I don't know shit about cars. Main issue, overcharged, bad service, and HOOD LEFT OPEN when I left and I discovered it driving on the expressway! I could have had it fly open or been hit by a truck while closing it! Secondly, My husband went in for an oil change and left paying $150 for a "signature" service change. After they didn't close the hood (which we didn't know yet), they also didn't check the tire pressure on my two low tires (with a tire light on) and told us to go elsewhere for that. That is one of the main 6 parts of the "signature" service. They said their air compressor was broken. We were deducted $15 off to get the $165 to $150 for the day. I call and "Mike" tells be the breakdown of the prices. I am not happy. I was charged for filters etc..that I wonder if they ever changed. After the price issues, I call back and am steamed after having to close my hood on I-88 during Rush Hour. I get two goofy employees on the phone who are telling me that the "Mike" that I talked to the day before doesn't work there and they have no idea who he is. Then they tell me to call the Lisle store for their manager. I call and this gentleman who has NO idea what I am talking about. I call back to Naperville later and the manager listens and promises a refund. After all is said and done, I only get a partial, 50% refund for the overcharging of what I wanted done, wacky employee service, the missing management, the absence of an air compressor, and the open hood of my car. I WOULD THINK IF OIL CHANGES ARE YOUR MAIN BUSINESS AND YOU CLOSE HOODS OF CARS ALL DAY LONG, YOU WOULD MAKE SURE THAT ALL HOODS ARE CLOSED. AM I RIGHT? The aggravation of trying to get a hold of someone to take care of these issues while at work was very time consuming as well. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! **ADDED JAN 2017**After message below says they want to talk to you, and IT DOESN'T WORK! I called because I got a 50% refund. I finally got the real manager and the real refund. Apparently, the employees travel between stores and that was the confusion issue. Lesson learned. read more

They did not put my dipstick back in. Caused my check engine light to come on. I've gone to this locations for years. This crew did not seem to know what they were doing and did not communicate with each other. Normally you hear them yell oil drained on one, oil filled, oil checked, etc. None of that happened. Will no longer use this location. read more

seriously the scariest oil change ever. i was asked what type of oil i wanted. i responded that it's a diesel, so whatever the manufacturer recommends. i was then asked again what type of oil i wanted. i told them they needed to look it up and tell me, i am not the expert. they then said x oil, i agreed, they drained the oil from my car. then i see a worker in my passenger seat. i ask what he's doing in my car. he says he's checking what type of oil to use. i tell them to stop working on the car. they say they've already drained the oil but can roll it out. drive home wondering if i am going to break down. i will never go back. read more

I normally take my car to the Jiffy Lube in St. Charles, IL - and I have never had issues there, so I took it to the Naperville location after work one day. The staff clearly did not want to be there, they didn't do a very good job cleaning the floors or the windshield, but what really got me was the mess they left under the hood. They managed to get transmission fluid spilled everywhere so it looked like my car had a pretty major leak. Upon calling them I was told "Um, yeah, you can bring it in sometime if you want". 0 stars if this was possible. The obligatory up selling is annoying. Did he check that the tires are brand new before suggesting a tire rotation? No. Service is very slow. Guys walk around like they have a 50 pound ball of chain. One Legacy Subaru just returned for who knows what'a wrong with it. No one answered the phone when I called for directions (phone just kept ringing, that is a red flag for poor customer service). 4x4 closet space which is actually a customer waiting area. Very glacial service, from ice age. Def not returning, or at least not recommending. Lastly, other franchises I know charge less than $35 for oil change and filter. Be prepared to pay greater than $42 for this service. Might stick to my local neighborhood car shop. read more

This place is horrible. I don't usually go here for my oil changes but the location is convenient and I was in a hurry. After dealing with extremely pushy salesmen-- expecting me to spend over $100 for an oil change, and trying to sell me a ton of services that was obvious to even me that I didn't need-- and waiting close to an hour I was asked to come with them so they can show me my car. Turns out they tried to use pliers to open the oil cap and punched a hole in what I'm assuming is the oil pan so my car couldn't hold oil. My car was towed and I had to get a rental car. The whole reason I was getting this oil change was for a road trip I was taking to Niagara Falls which I ended up using the rental for. While I was waiting to be picked up the managers joked around with me telling me "no offense but we could sell someone like you anything." I know I'm a young woman and admittedly don't know much about cars but I do not appreciate being taken advantage of because of those two things. When they finally called me (over a week later) to tell me my car was ready to be picked up they told me it was in Streamwood! I had to figure out how to return the rental and pick up my car on my own. I wasted over three hours that day picking up my car (4 hours spent the day they put the hole in my car). The good thing is that they didn't give me trouble about paying for any of this but I will never return to this or any other Jiffy Lube and recommend you don't either. read more

I needed an oil change, so I went to this location which is the closest to my job. When I entered, there was a woman who looked very angry, and in fact, she was very upset. I asked for an oil change, and she replied in a very rude tone: "I'm in a conference right now, you will have to wait. She reminded me to Alpha from the tv show The Walking Dead, not only for the way she replied to me, also for the way that she looked, she looked mad. I moved six years ago to the area, and this was one the Jiffy Lube I used to come to have my oil changes. There were very polite people, I hope a manager notices the way she treats people so they can hire another person. I'm sure this location is losing money because of this woman. read more

Came here because I was given a groupon for an oil change. Had then do a coolant flush while I was here too. Oil change pretty standard. They flushed the coolant but did put back any coolant into the tank before having me leave. Did realize this until it got cold a few days later when my car would heat up like usual. Googled why this was happening and sure enough, there was barely any coolant in my car. How the hell do u forget to do something like that?!?!? read more

Ogden Ave. I was assisted by Brandon who was very friendly and professional. He walked me through everything before any work was done on my car. This is the first oil change where I wasn't pressured to buy a useless upgrade in service, wasn't told my car would break down in the middle of a long drive if I didn't replace an already new filter, nor made to feel like I was interrupting the mechanics' busy afternoon tea party. This Jiffy Lube prides itself in it's service, of which I'm convinced! I was helped and greeted by 3 different guys, all of whom had a smile on their face and were incredibly nice, especially for having worked such a busy afternoon (the Friday before a holiday weekend). They even apologized profusely about the 30 minutes it took them to do a full oil change, vacuum my car and clean the windshield! These guys know how to keep people loyal! read more

Went in to get oil changed on my wife's Jeep. Usually I stick to the dealership I buy at because they can't outright try and rip me off if they want me to buy from them again. Anyways, V6 engine, 2013 Jeep. Attendant there walks in waiting room tells me it will be an extra $10 for a special oil filter. I ask him what he means, he says all Jeeps are like that. I think to myself, no way. After the service I go to Firestone, ask how much for an oil change on my jeep, he says $29.99. I say, any additional charge for the special oil filter? He responds, "no, its just a jeep" I feel bad for these guys that they need to rip me off for an extra $10 and who knows what kind of tricks they would have pulled if my wife had gone in alone. Avoid like the plaque. The guy didn't even sound convincing trying to squeeze the extra $10 out of me. Felt bad for him really. read more

What a weird place. Usually go to the Jiffy Lube on Randall Rd and it's always so easy. Went here because we've moved to Lisle, but I won't be going back. There was no sense of customer service, as in everyone was so awkward and communication was nonexistent. Now, my customer service expectations for an oil change place are already low (not really part of the experience), so they had to really be weird for me to notice.... Let me cut to my main issue: my husband and I both brought our cars at the same time. They started with mine and did the standard pushy sales crap I don't need, which is fine and expected. Pretty basic stuff. I made sure they knew I didn't want any bells and whistles and that I just wanted an oil change only. All fine. They finished my car and I paid, but they hadn't started on my husband's yet. Now we came in together, talked to them together, and they knew both cars were ours. Then it got stupid. They pulled my husband away separately and pushed all kinds of nonsense on him. Way more than me, including insisting that his car should have some $60 oil - get real. Our cars are similar. He insisted, as I had, that he didn't need anything special, just a basic oil change. So he comes back into the weird little waiting box and we wait. His car takes a lot longer for some reason. Then they come in to get payment and his oil change cost twice as much as mine! They had given him all these "signature" services he has expressly said he didn't want. Why would we want different levels of service?? And if we did, we would not have been so clear about what we did and did not want. At this point we just wanted out, so we paid and got out of there and we won't be back. The only positive I can say is that one employee, I believe his name was Brad, actually had people skills. He went out of his way to let us know there was room in the waiting room when it started raining on us outside and he offered to pull my car around for me when my husband'a car was finished. Brad deserves to be in better company. Maybe he should transfer to the Randall location. read more

This was the worst oil change experience I've had in 35 years of owning a car. I'd like to give it half of a star but the employee who took my car in was friendly. The location was understaffed. I was told the wait would be 20 minutes for the car to be looked at. It ended up being 60min. The waiting area was dirty. Empty box of hot chocolate and ice cold coffee and over flowing garbage. I told them the brake light was out and I over heard the clerks say "lights looked good". I had them recheck and the then saw the light I had mentioned was in fact out. After waiting approximately 15 minutes the manager told me the previous Jiffy Lube I had an oil change done at was closed because they were "messing things up" and my car in fact had been "messed up" to the point they didn't want to attempt the oil change. He didn't explain what it was or if it was even safe to be driving the car. I've used Jiffy Lube off and on over the years out of convenience. My experience at this location will make me never go back to Jiffy Lube. I took the car down the street and they were able to give me wonderful service and take care of the problem Jiffy Lube supposedly caused. There are multiple auto shops on Odgen I highly recommended going to one of those and passing Jiffy Lube by. read more

Do not go up this Jiffy Lube. Had my son's oil change done here. When they changed the air filter they neglected to blow out the debris which caused a sensor to burn out. $250.00 to get that fixed. The car's oil pan was badly rusted (they neglected to tell us). Not sure the workers here are trained properly if at all. read more

The people here wanted me to pay for services that seemed to be very necessary, but because I was only here for a quick oil change it felt like they were just begging for my money. Because of the previous bad reviews in her, I came in skeptic, and is probably why I decided not to go on with the recommended services. I went there last night after work when there were no other cars in the bays. It was a slow snowy night. After they started working on my car one of the technicians with a shirt that said "Ted" on it, brought me over to his computer in the shop and said something like, "Sir, I'm sorry to tell you this but I just realized that this car will only accept synthetic oil as per the manufacturers recommendation." I then said something like "Sure, no problem as long as its the same price." of course knowing full well that it wouldn't be. He then said, "Oh I'm sorry but no, it's more money. Our basic oil change service is $24,95 but with synthetic you have two choices, $59.95 or $79.95." I then said, "No, I'm not paying that for a simple oil change, so just close the car up and I'll leave." He looked panicked and said, "Oh I'm sorry but we already drained the oil and took the filter off and we could get in serious trouble, both me and Jiffy Lube if we don't follow the manufacturers recommendation and use synthetic oil." At that point, I looked more closely at the computer monitor and noticed that it said something like "For extreme driving conditions in temperatures below -20 degrees Fahrenheit, synthetic oil is recommended." I then pointed this out to Ted and he looked very confused. Did he really not understand what -20 degrees Fahrenheit means. That's really, really sad if he didn't. If he was trying to be deceptive for some reason, he wasn't very practiced at it. If he were better at deception (if that's what he was attempting) he should have told me all about how my engine would get damaged without synthetic oil, not what trouble he and Jiffy Lube would get into! Needless to say, he ended up relenting and using the standard oil and charged me $24.95 plus tax. And to finish the experience, the steering wheel was gritty from oily, dirty hands as I drove away! Very odd experience. It's sad to think what someone that wasn't as technical as I am would have done--maybe paid $80 for a $25 oil change. read more

My experience was quick and convenient. I originally came in for an oil change, but they inspected the rest of my vehicle just in case. They discovered that my transmission fluid had to be changed as well. They offered me options and I did not feel pressured to accept even though I did. All in all, I was out of there in approximately 30 minutes and when I re-entered my car, the carpets were vacuumed and the steering wheel was cleaned as an extra bonus. Price ran a little higher than expected, but the quick and friendly service didnt make me regret it. read more

They are terrible. They said the check list used for services usually IS ignored. "Customers are plain lucky to half of the fluids check", said manager Drew. Well I was in there a few months ago and they checked off the, DIFFERENTIAL FLUID as checked AND FULL!!! not even close. DRY AS A BONE. Guess what it blew the entire thing. Manager Drew said NOT MUCH THEY CAN DO. I asked, " how come it is marked as full? When it isn't. Drew said, "they really don't ever check it"! it is amazing the place is still open. They stripped my oil pan drain plug and replaced with a temporary universal plug which they said was as good as the factory installed one. Toyota disagreed with that line of thinking and recommended the oil pan be replaced so a proper drain plug could be installed. Had I not been watching and seeing all the trouble they were having they would have sent me off without a word. read more

Strongly suggest you avoid the Ogden Ave. Naperville location. Went there at 3pm on Sunday and was promptly met by a gentleman who stated no one showed up for work and he was just cleaning the place. Returned 7am the next morning and was 2nd in line. At 7:30am, they told me the wait would be at least another 10 minutes. They just lost a customer and you need think twice before using this location. No need to contact me. One or two free oil changes will not bring me back. I really hate to write bad reviews, but I wish I'd been warned, so here goes. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years - not great service, but nothing really to complain about. I guess it is now under new management. Ugh. So, I went in for my regular oil change a few weeks ago. I was berated by the manager when he called me to talk about my car, wondering why I was using "X" oil when I should have been using "Y" oil (as I had a hybrid). I responded, "Well I've come here for my last five oil changes, so I suppose one of your people should have told me." Then he up sold me for about 5 things, telling me that 1) I would get a $15.00 rebate check if I decided to go the "Y" oil and that I needed a new oil filter, a new air cabin filter, etc. etc. When he saw me balk at the price, he offered me $10.00 off the filter. So I decided to trust this guy - and with a $15.00 off coupon for the oil change, I figured it couldn't be THAT bad - right? Well when we got to the register to check out, he told me that he couldn't take my $15.00 coupon because he had already given me $10.00 off the filter. That would have been nice to know up front. At that point, it left me with no options - it's not like I could tell him to take the filter out. It was a bit shady. So I pay the $126.00 FOR AN OIL CHANGE. As I get in my car, I notice the floors had not even been vacuumed - something he assured me was part of the regular oil change. He looked in and said, "Oh, well you could come back tonight and then we could do that." WHAT? Seriously? As if it couldn't get worse, I just got my $15.00 rebate check MADE OUT TO THAT JIFFY LUBE. It's not $15.00 cash refund - it's only for another oil change to be used. And ONLY for that specific Jiffy Lube which makes it useless as I will NEVER go back there. I am mortified that as a savvy businesswoman I let these guys completely scam me. The woman next to me in the waiting room also had told me that she'd come in for an oil change and her total was $154.00, so I feel lucky. It could have been worse. Not sure if ALL Jiffy Lubes are like this - but THIS one currently is. Go elsewhere and save your money! read more

Will not go here again. Didn't check fluid levels, tire pressure, air filter. Only thing they did was to change oil and only question was type of oil. Left for MI the day after and had to pull off of highway because the TPMS light went on. now I question if the oil was even changed. Will not do back there and advise everyone else to stay away. read more
