They did oil change OK. The engine check disappeared and they gave me a sticker for the next change. But its the things which were in the invoice which me laugh. I'm furious!!!! I took my brand new car with no scratches, dinks or scrapes to Jiffy Lube in Newark. But, while they were changing my oil, they dented my car door by backing it into an object while it was open, chipped the paint and tried to conceal it by covering up sparkly white paint with a matte white (nope, not obvious at all) Then, while accessing something in my glove box, they broke the hinge so the door won't shut. But wait, thereI is more, they then rigged it closed but left all of its contents on the floor bc it won't shut if everything is inside. My car hasn't been serviced or touched by any other shop besides this ONE TIME at Jiffy Lube. I called to talk to the manager about it...he said someone must have hit it at the grocery store. See the pics below, clearly not the case. And I want to know who has easier access to quick touch up paint, someone at the grocery store or Jiffy Lube? I'm really disappointed that a car servicing store doesn't have respect for its customers or their cars. I always loved Jiffy Lube and have gone for years. I will NEVER go again if this isn't resolved and my car is fixed properly. Heartbroken that the first car I ever bought was damaged by carelessness and deceitfully covered up. read more

This place rocks,,,,,,, I am going to take my car to this place all the time. I took my car there early in the morning for an oil change. Mohammad came to my car in a few seconds and with a smile greeted me and asked me to fill out a form and opened the door. He escorted me to the launch and offered me coffee, water and... There were 3 more cars a head of me. He told me that he is short handed with only more more guy, but he was just running to do all the works. It didn't take too long that Mohammad called me and apologized for being late (I don't know why he was really quick) He told me that during an inspection on my car he found out that the wipers were torn, one head light and one other light were out. He explained all the type of oil they were carrying and what was recommended my car manufacture. I signed on the piece of pad and he gave me the estimate. and asked me to set down. It took about 20 minutes that my car was out of the garage and Mohammad returned and called me again and said my car was done. He showed me the screen of the computer with all the work he had done to my car. ( Awesome ) he told me about the top off, and with a nice smile asked me return for the next oil change. I saw the second guy beside Mohammad who opened the door for me and I went to my car. The windows of my car where shining and the interior was well vacuumed. Why shouldn't I go to this place again? where do you think can do a better job?........ I was reading some of the reviews, I found it so sad that some people leave reviews with low stars on this place, like James and Houshang s. and so many more. I believe sometimes things won't go as good as we wish because it is our high expectations. Keep it up guys. see you next time for sure. read more

Ehhhhh....my experience at this jiffy lube was ok. I came in for an oil change and waited about 30ish minutes until it was finished. Decent amount of time. What got me was that their card reader stopped working? When they were ringing me up so I had to wait about 10+ mins or so until the employee gets ahold of corporate or something. Eventually they got it working. The waiting room is small. The TV wasn't working and the coffee machine wasn't working also. The same employee (who called corporate) would come in from time to time to check on other guests but I realized he was kind of rude and talking loud about how he doesn't care about the tv cos it's not his and excited about getting away from this place. I mean I get it....buuuuut probs shouldn't be spilling the beans so loudly. Lol read more

Don't go to this place. They rip you off. They changed my air filter without having my permission. Then they made me for it.

We brought our car in for an oil change this morning. Next time, staff may want to ensure that a radio or TV is on while they work in the bay. All customers present could hear every insult you made about some customers and their cars. It's amazing how, once the manager arrived, not an insult or expletive was to be heard. We've supported this business for the past few years. Moving forward, we'll go to an establishment where the staff either have the level of professionalism that this behavior would not take place...or at least sufficient brain cells to ensure music or white noise is on to muffle the shit-talking. read more

I found the place a fresh breeze compared to other service shops. Villiami, manager of this location was honest and upfront with all charges and explained the options carefully. It's hard to find guys like Villiami in this business these days. I have taken my other car for a quick check and Villiami gave the right assessment of the fluids in the car unlike other car shops who wants to get some work done at any cost. First time going to this location. Needed a quick oil change! And by far this is one of the worst customer service I have ever received. My car wasn't inspected like they usually do. Windows were not wiped down, inside of my car wasn't vacuumed. When asked what service I needed and what oil...before I answered I looked at my car and someone was already changing the oil. My coupon was refused by A. Mojaddidi (someone needs to reevaluate this kids work ethics) said I needed it printed out. Mind you they can scan it from your smart phone and accept whatever coupon you may have. So I was given a lower amount of the coupon I clearly had in hand. When transaction was through he handed me my paper work, left my keys at the counter top and said "you're done." Next time hand your customers their keys and say thank! Bummed out about Jiffy Lube. The focus was on sales. I wanted an oil change. Although it wasn't due, one of the 6 guys standing around groused to me that a cabin air filter was needed, I reluctantly agreed. When I got back in the car, the fan was so loud! I mentioned to the grouchy tech and he barked it needed to " settle". I went back to Oil Changers after that, but...a year later the fan was still louder than it should. Be. Had Oil Changers Hayward check, the filter had never been changed and as an added bonus, the doofus at Jiffy had stripped out the plastic part that operated the little closure lever, that's not too honest. I really, really like their service. I had been there once before and filled out the papers and all and it was very fast the first time and cheap. The second time what caught my attention was that they got my cars information and quickly knew my name so I didnt have to give em any information on their own they quickly pulled it up i didnt even get a chance to get out of my car when they called me by my name and asked me to wait inside. They checked my car and noticed I needed a new filter and one of my tires was flatter then the rest so they fixed it for free. They did my oil change and cleaned my car vacuumed and all. All in like 15 mins. They are fast, cheap, and have friendly staff. Highly recommend. read more

Dishonest. A while back I came here for an oil change, and I'm told my tranny fluid needs change when it was already replaced 3 months ago. They said they checked it and it was dirty, which is BS. Matter of fact, they didn't check any of my fluids, nor my tire pressure. NOTHING. Just oil and filter and a $50 bill and bogus paperwork. Doesn't surprise me to see so many bad reviews about the place. I always thought that all Jiffy Lube places would be consistent with the way they do things as they have the same guidelines and policy to follow. I have visited so many branches and believe me when i say this was the bottom of the barrel. Its a pity how inexperienced and lost the techs seem. It took them more than an hour to change the oil in my car, they weren't even busy. I drove in and no one said a word, went in and started waiting, no one came up and asked me what i drove in for. Once they did the oil change they asked me to pay and i was on my way. If they had asked i would have got my wipers changed too. With all the competition around one would think they would be very happy to see customers at their door but i felt like i was an inconvenience for them. I went back thursday am for an oil change and expected to get the same great service like last time. Unfortunately today my experience was nothing but disappointing. I saw one of them put oil in my car coming from a dirty looking plastic container instead of using the normal oil hoses they use. I paid for the oil blend 5w30 but how can I know that was the actual oil they put in? And how could they measure how much oil they have added if it all just came from a large plastic container? I'm reporting this to Jiffy lube and BBB. They did not even vacuum my car. I think when they saw 3 cars arrive while they were working mine, they got rattled and did not finish the work on my car thoroughly. I think its time to find a new place to take my lexus. read more

I should have read the reviews for this place first. They used to do a decent job but seems this one has gone downhill. When I got home after an oil change, I looked under the hood and noticed that one of the vacuum hoses to the air filter was not connected. I looked around for a loose hose and turns out it was crimped inside the air filter housing. I was able to open the housing and reconnect the hose. I just hope that's all they messed up. read more

Service here is horrible. I've been here 3 times and still haven't been able to get an oil change. The first time. I was turned away because there was an hour wait with only two cars and was asked to come back later. I had the day off. So I didn't mind. Came back later. Around 2pm. Apparently not a single person on their staff took a lunch. So they had to close up shop and turned me away again. Understandable. Now it's my 3rd time here. I just went to this Jiffy Lube in Newark with a $24.99 coupon for their signature service. They still charged me $41.99 and when I asked about it the guy said because it's 10w-30 the cost is more. That's a $17.00 difference. In the store the oil costs the same. Also on my receipt it says interior vacuum completed external windows wash completed and they didn't do either. Plus when I arrived it looked like the 2 guys were pissing in the bushes then suddenly turned around adjusting themselves. read more

I always come to this jiffylube because the price is very reasonable and they change your oil very quickly. That's the positive side. The negative side about this place is they have a very poor customer service. They take your keys without listening to your problem, have you wait in a room while they bullshit outshit outside and smoke cigarrettes while changing the oil on your car. After changing the oil on your car,they leave your car a mess. Oil spilled all over the engine, steering wheel very oily, dirty oily footprints on your carpet and missing items in your car. They also broke a piece of my air intake cover trying to change my air filter. So, fast and cheap but very inexperience workers and very bad customer service. read more

Pulled in to get an oil change today. Without asking them to do anything just waiting in the room, the tech comes in with a greasy finger-printed air filter and dirty cabin filter. I asked if those were mine and the guy at the desk said yes. I said how can that be when I personally changed both filters 6k miles ago. And why did the air filter have so many greasy finger prints? I guess that they keep using the same filters and tricking their customers into repairs (my assumption). I told them I didn't want them to work on my car and I was going to leave. Then they started filling my car with oil; I asked why? They said they drained some oil (I didn't see them do it). I checked my oil when I got home it was over-filled. I decided to try out this location after having a really positive experience at another Jiffy Lube in a different state. I was really disappointed here. They didn't reset the oil life in my car, or give me a sticker to show my return mileage. They tried to clean my windows, but ended up leaving dirty smudges everywhere on the windows, and on the body of my car. At one point, they had to move my car to another bay, and the employee driving my car screeched my tires going around the corner. I'm disappointed at the lack of customer service here. I got my car's A/C serviced here a few months ago and when it started having problems I brought it back and even though they don't do A/C repair here, the manager looked at it, talked with me about it and helped me find a place who could repair the damaged hose (damage due to fender bender, not their due to their negligence). He showed me where the problem area was and offered to top off the fluid again after I get it repaired. read more

I am a regular customer for this Jiffy Lube, I haven't needed to find another place because every time I come here my car is well taken care of. During my visit today I told Danny at the front desk that I was concerned my car was leaking oil. He checked with the technician and told me that he had looked through the whole bottom of my car and that it was clean with no leaks. I will definitely be returning here also because they always give real advice on whether or not something needs to be fixed or if it can wait. read more
