I went in today with my mom for an oil change and I couldn't have been more pleased. The service was exceptional and my car is running smoother than when I brought him. I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change on 10/11/2020. I began having problems with my car in late November. I took it to a mechanic on 12/5/20 who informed me that my car barely had any oil. He asked about my last oil change and when I told him where and when I had my car serviced, he said that there was no way the oil was changed on that day. He drained the last of the oil, transferred it to a cup, and showed me how old it was. He then did an oil change and a flush and now my car runs perfectly. I took the cup of oil back to Jiffy Lube. The employee admitted that the oil was old but instructed me to call the general manager. I called Mr. Leamon McGinnis who basically said that it was impossible that JL made an error. He said that because of the age of my car, I need more frequent oil changes and that the oil I brought in, doesn't prove anything. I explained that no one, including the associates at Jiffy Lube, said that my car needed more frequent oil changes. Their report even says to change the oil every 5000 miles. He took absolutely no responsibility and did not apologize at all. Instead he started calling out all kinds of reasons as to why this could have happened. I had to pay $247 for car service because of Jiffy Lube's negligence. Do not get your oil changed here. read more

I was a bit skeptical about going to Jiffy Lube due to a bad experience (not at this location) and their reputation. However, I needed an oil change bad and decided to go. The people who work there are professional and it didn't take long. But....I did pay $63 for a standard oil change tho!!!! read more

I wish there was an option for zero stars because that's what they deserve. I went to this branch last Saturday. They open at 8am so I got there at 7.30 and waited so I'll be serviced ahead of the pack. While parked you can see the guys on the inside having their convos and looking outside ever so often which is fine. At around 7.55am a worker came and parked his car next to mines and asked if I was here for a oil change which I relied 'Yes'. He then said, "well you need to be parked out back. Now everyone out there is in front of you." Mind you there are no signs saying where to park. Anyways, I went out back and there were about 5 other cars. I parked my car then walked to the front office at around 7.59am. They were still in there having convos and no matter how much I signaled at them to ask a question they kept pointing to go to the back. I understand they were not within their working hrs and weren't obligated to speak to me so I listened and went out back and waited in my car. At 8.04am they started opening the gates and called on cars they noticed, by when they arrived at the shop. I was called right up to enter the garage without losing my place in line as the other guy said. The service guy then stops me before driving into the garage and asked if I came for an oil change and I said 'Yes'. He then said....."Pop your hood". So I did just that. He looked at my oil cap and shouted "Hey Jimmy, do we have grade 20 oil?" Jimmy shouted back "Nope! We don't even have grade 30!" He said... Sir, we won't be able to service your car today! WHAT? HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE CERTAIN GRADES OF OIL???? LIKE HOW COME? This didn't run out during the day. I was the first there one there! TF! He directed me to try the Clinton branch. When I got there at around 8.20am, no less than 15 cars and a bus were parked waiting to be serviced. I was super pisssed! I simply just reversed, went to Walmart, bought the oil and filter for less than $40 bucks and did it myself! I will never go back to Jiffy Lube Oxon Hill again. Total failure! read more

I received a signature oil change with friendly and efficient service. The cost is reasonable to avoid having to wait at the dealer. I find at this particular Jiffy Lube, they will try to sell services that are unnecessary and unfortunately, I got sucked in. These extra, overpriced services are where they make their money. They showed me both my cabin filter which had barely any dirt on it and my engine filter which was somewhat dirty and I, like a dummy agreed to let them change both because I was already there and it was about convenience. The cost for these services is between $30 and $50 each and the cost of the filters on Amazon is under $15. I believe I could have changed both of these filters myself and I will do so moving forward by watching a YouTube video. Another service that I got sucked into is the fuel cleaner which is nothing more than dumping a bottle of fuel injection cleaner into your gas tank and most likely, also unnecessary. That can be purchased on Amazon for less than $7 a bottle. I will continue to get my oil changed there but will avoid any other services in the future. read more

You have to be consistent with each and every employee. I have a coupon for a tire rotation and oil change and it says you can use it with your phone or print it out. The lady who's here some days allowed me to use my coupon in a prior visit. The the guy Omar refused to let me use my coupon since it was on my phone. Great experience at the Jiffy Lube. I called in prior to coming and they were able to tell me exactly the length of the wait and when to come in to miss the rush. Execellent customer service especially the young lady at the front. Kudos to her!! I do agree with the other review. They are very pricey. I will come back again. :-) read more

First time ever getting an oil change, Jay helped me and he was awesome. Very honest about my concerns and wasn't out to take all my money.

Today January 23rd went to my local Oxon Hill Jiffy Lube #129 St. Barnabas Road (I believe Black Owned Franchised) for a simple Oil Change. I want to support my local area Oxon Hill and put the Waldorf, MD location on pause. I stopped going to Oxon Hill #129 because of poor customer service and quality of work. The Oil Change was complete but the vacuum was not done accordingly or my drivers side window not cleaned (sloppy work). Called JL#129 spoke to David on duty Manager expressed my visit and he had no enthusiastic engagement to my concern but to say 'Sorry for your experience". WOW..!! This is again why I don't support OUR businesses because of their of LACK OF WORK ETHICS and untrained poor Management Skills and Experience. Once again I will return to Waldorf, MD Jiffy Lube where Customer Service and Work Ethnics IMPECCABLE work. Gave JL#129 a 2nd chance and once again they lack quality service and Customer appreciation. I am a Job Development Trainer and I give JL#129 a Failing Grade of F-. Hire people who take PRIDE in what they do or take a visit to Waldorf, MD Jiffy Lube your Crew could learn so much needed techniques -- its worth the drive. Enjoy your day..!! read more

Terrible mechanics, not paying attention. They left my oil cap off after service and offered no form of compensation.

After waiting 10 minutes without being acknowledged I finally left as did the car that arrived after me. The staff seemed more concerned about their cell phones than their customers. This is one franchise to could stand to go out of business. read more

I went to this jiffy lube because it was Sunday and there was no other place where I could get my oil changed. I normally have a synthetic blend put in my car which is less expensive than regular synthetic. I told the gentleman who came up to me that I wanted the synthetic blend and he said OK. When my car got in the bay he then decided to tell me the do not carry the synthetic blend oil so I would have to pay for the regular synthetic. I ended up paying $100 for a oil change which is ridiculous since I normally pay $40 every where else I have been. I will never go here again. They are a rip off. read more

After having our vehicles serviced at #129 for more than one year, my wife and I are impressed by how process oriented is this service center. This achievement may be rooted in policies and procedures of the Jiffy Lube corporation or Service Center #129, or both. I find the management and technicians are thorough in explaining my vehicle needs, but I appreciate the fact that they do not try to sell me more than is needed. These professionals seem almost military in how thoroughly process oriented, organized, and disciplined is their work. Observable on-the-job training reinforcement demonstrates the formal training that has apparently preceded it. Each position in the shop has a title so that one technician can call out information to another technician by position title. Each position in the shop has its unique duties on which the other technicians in the shop depend. Like checklists used for evolutions on military aircraft, ships, and boats, the checklists employed by the technicians at #129 include a protocol of calling out each step of a procedure while another technician confirms on the checklist. Protocol also includes a welcome to each customer, invitation to the customer lounge (with coffee, TV, and restroom), interview and detailed explanation of services, and window decal to remind the customer of the next service due date. Each service performed on a vehicle is logged into a computer data base in that vehicle's unique record for future reference. Such dedication to process has led to a very positive customer experience for my wife and me. This dedication has surely resulted in 1) lives saved, 2) vehicle longevity, and 3) maintenance affordability. The ultimate reward is passenger safety through definitive vehicle maintenance - all at a reasonable cost. read more

Wednesday evening my auto-shop was closed down and i wanted to get a oil change because i didn't want to go over the oil change mileage number because I don't have any knowledge on (watcanhappen), so a friend referred me to Jiffy Lube. So I went and got the inspection and Oil Change there. I drive an Infinti G35 Sedan. Later that night I decided to drive to 7eleven and I noticed a small rattling sound as i tapped the gas but it soon went away. The next morning on my way to work the sound came back but was knocking this time and the knocking began to get louder and louder as i tried to accelerate to keep up with highway traffic. I was forced to pull over b4 getting RAMMED from behind by following cars. The acceleration had left my car. It had to be towed. Thanks Jiffy Lube for **&^%$ up my car. Was there any previous engine damage b4 that oil change?, NEVER! Wat an coincidence! Now they are trying to put the blame on me, asking me do I warm up my car in the morning....It's the end of April and 60 Degrees in the morning; of course I don't. read more
