Absolutely horrible service! I scheduled an appointment for 11am. When I showed up early for my appointment they said they couldn't take me until 1pm. I asked if I could return at one they said no that my car had to stay there or they would put other cars in front of me. Didn't take me until 2pm. Nice guy up front, but was pretty disappointed with everything else. They told me 1-1.5 hours to swap two tires for me, end up taking 2 hr 45 min. When I finally got my car back I discovered my seat was filthy, they didn't put enough air in my tires, and they scratched the hell out of my rims. For years now, this Mr. Tire has been my go-to for all of my car servicing needs! Though the management has changed quite a bit over time, the quality servicing, friendly customer service, and timely repairs have remained constant and has honestly improved as time has gone on. In my experience, with a lot of car servicing businesses, it always seems like they are trying to get over on you, especially those individuals like me who do not know much about cars -- but not at this Mr. Tire. I always walk away knowing more about my car and cars in general when visiting this location. There's a waiting room with somewhat comfortable chairs, a coffee maker, and a tv. Wifi is also available if you want to take your laptop and be productive. If sitting in the shop is not your thing, there's a Starbucks, a park, walking trail, stores, and restaurants all within a short walking distance. Hands down, I highly recommend Mr. Tire! read more

Usually come to this place for tire needs because I thought they were trust worthy. However, today I showed up with a flat tire, and was told there are two nails in one tire. We were told that they would not touch the tire at all (no patch, no plug, and not putting air into it to get us to another shop), and that we needed to buy 4 NEW TIRES. All because one tire had a nail?!? We were told that two tires would be $900. After much push back from the employee, we got our car back and took it to Costco. Ended up being a $10 patch and plug and it was good to go. Will never be coming back here. Lost all trust from my family. read more

BEWARE- can only handle jobs on vehicles with stock wheels and tires. I ordered a set of tires from an online company to be mounted and balanced at this location. When I called to make the appt. I specifically asked if they could handle custom wheels. They asked me the size of wheels and tires and then told me it wouldn't be a problem. When the day of my appt. comes and Im enroute to the shop, they call me 30 minutes before my appt. and cancel on me and push to the next day (inconvenienced but stuff happens). When I show up for the new appt, they tell me they don't have the equipment to do the job and also couldn't do the alignment on my car as they weren't equipped for that either. What could I do, based on what they told me on the phone I already had the tires shipped to their shop. They then call and speak to a manager at a location 40 min away who, after being told the specifics of my car, said to bring it to them. With little choice as my day was already booked with other commitments, I drive to the other Mr. Tire location just to be told the same thing, "sorry can't help you." Now looking at other reviews, I'm seeing similar stories- just wish I had read the other reviews sooner and saved the headache. read more

Our experience with Mr. Tire began in June. I made an appointment at the Arlington location. When I arrived, the employee said that he could not put tires on my car because he didn't have staff. He recommended we reschedule-which was not an option as we were traveling out of town. He told us to contact other locations-which he was not willing to help us with. We called the Alexandria location on Pickett St. They said to come right I and they would take care of us. We got there, waited for awhile-which was okay as we didn't have an appointment-and was taken in about 2.5 hours. Once our car was in the garage-we were told that they didn't have 4 tires, they only had 2 tires. We purchased the tires and decided to wait for another day to get the other 2. We made an appointment ahead of time for the Pickett location for November 1 at 11:00 am. Upon arrival, we were told that our car would not be seen until 1:00. I asked if I could return at 1:00 and was told no, we would lose our place in line and it would take longer. That doesn't make sense as I already had an appointment. I needed the tires so decided to wait. My car was not taken in until 2:00, and I didn't leave until 3:10. I would highly recommend getting tires done here if you have nothing better to do with your day than make an appointment ahead of time and then sit at the garage for over 4 hours for 2 tires. read more

I usually like to give businesses a chance to fix any issues that I encounter for any service or product I purchase. But to put it short... THIS IS A TERRIBLE STORE THAT HAS NO REGARD FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, WILL SEND YOU OUT WITH A DANGEROUS REPAIR JOB AND WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR SHADY WORK. (And I don't even like typing in ALL CAPS). Long story short, I had to bring my truck back 3 times and my issues weren't resolved and they were unapologetic about the whole situation. My lug nuts were over-torqued after I specifically told them 97ft/lbs. I do my own work at home and when I tried to remove my wheel, the lug nuts would only budge after jumping up and down on the wrench about 5 times. Took it back to the shop and they end up breaking a wheel stud. So I had to find a ride home while they made the repair. They said they didn't have a stud and the right lug nut. A tire shop with out these parts? And they basically told me they don't have a torque wrench so they could get it to 100ft/lbs. A tire shop with out a torque wrench. RED FLAG. They made the "repair" and all was good until I check the rear wheels. One of them had nuts on so tight I didn't want to break them, so I brought the truck back to the shop. In short, the store manager Jorge Valenzuela told me they could get 3 nuts off but 2 were on so tight that they would have to break them off and put new studs in. So more time wasted. Here's the good part. He says, "You don't assume that we are paying for the repair, do you?" Now I am livid. He almost blames me for the damage. Wouldn't even offer a refund on the tire install. He asks if I want to schedule a repair for the next day! I call the 1-800 customer service number right there in the lobby. While waiting, I go out to check my wheel and 2 of the nuts aren't even seated into the wheel! This can cause MORE DAMAGE and IS DANGEROUS! I told him that I carry my family in this vehicle and my wife is pregnant and due any day! (I don't even like to share my personal "sob" stories for sympathy) But I can't believe he would endanger myself and my family and others on the street! He says, " We wouldn't let you drive away in an unsafe vehicle." I told him that he just tried to do that! Only then did he say he would take care of the repair at no charge. Like I would risk my family's safety at this shady shop. I finally got a hold of a customer service rep. They were surprised by the treatment and they said that I could take the truck to another shop and they would reimburse. I will see if that happens. There are a few other noteworthy moments. -They said they didn't use an impact wrench. They said that one of the rear wheels nuts came off by hand -- even though I HEARD them use an impact wrench (my truck was the only vehicle in the garage at the time.) -They never swapped the wheel with corrosion as the spare. -I had all matching lug nuts when I came in to the shop but this last visit they said I had 2 different size lug nuts on the wheels. They messed this up the first time I had to bring the truck back. Like I said, I don't like writing negative reviews, but a shop that is unapologetic about their mistakes and doesn't offer any recompense is one thing. But knowingly letting a customer leave the shop in a condition that could DAMAGE A VEHICLE and ENDANGER THE DRIVER AND THEIR PASSENGERS and possibly INJURE OR KILL OTHER PEOPLE ON THE STREET should not be tolerated! They are content on tricking the average customer that does not know much about cars. Even sitting in the lobby I hear them trying to upsell alignments. The customer didn't mention this as an issue but they sell them an alignment anyways. This proves that if you don't do your own car repairs, LEARN! At least, research the repair and ask an opinion from someone that knows cars where to go for a specific repair. What is worse than incapable techs, is the underhanded deception and unapologetic tone from the front desk! I wonder how many customers from this store have overtightened lug nuts and broken studs that are driving on the street. I do not know how Google Reviews gives this place 4.7 Stars. This place tricks people that do not work on their vehicle and are impressed with a quick "fix" and seemingly good service desk. read more

Trust issue! I took my vehicle as I have for years to Mr. Tire for an oil change and tire rotation. Not sure why, but I chose to mark my tires this time (perhaps the wear patterns). Well its a good thing I do so, as they were not rotated. I asked the manager if it was done and he stated they were and there would be an issue if not. I proceeded to show him my numerical marks that were still in the same order. He took the vehicle and the tires were rotated. I asked how I could be sure the oil was changed and was assured it was ( for what that's worth). I expressed my disappointment that something so trivial would be omitted. They took $10 more dollars off my bill, that's fine, since it will be the last $71 dollars I will spend there! As icing on the cake, another customer was in there stating that her oil change had been done incorrectly (i.e. no/low oil). read more

They were able to get the tires for me within one day. Because I have an all wheel drive vehicle I have to have tires that match. The tread had to match so they found me two tires so that the tread matches and I didn't have to buy four. That was great. read more

Still awesome service! The weather change created a tire pressure issue with my vehicle that I was dealing with all week. This place really is as good as it gets. I'd give them six stars if the system went up that high! THEY'RE HONEST! I've taken my Land Rover Discovery to them several times over the last year and had great service. I was FRUSTRATED with Alexandria Land Rover or Land Rover of Alexandria (whatever name they're using) and turned to Curry on the recommendation of a friend. So, I went from a place that traditionally ripped me off, to a place that made a point of telling me exactly what work needed to be done...and why! I recently had to have my car towed to Curry because the engine overheated. It had leaked oil for years but Land Rover could never quite figure out what was going on with the vehicle. The folks at Curry found the problem in under an hour and told me that the cost to fix the car would be more than the car is worth. Could you imagine having someone in the business of fixing cars recommend that you shouldn't have the car fixed? THAT'S CALLED HONESTY. I donated the car to a charity and Curry allowed me to keep the car at their garage until it could be towed; about a week after they originally diagnosed the problem. I asked how much I owed them for keeping the car on their lot (some garages charge) and the gentleman said "no charge. that's not how we do business here!" We wouldn't think of taking our cars anywhere but Curry's Auto Service. read more

Came here to get my recently torn tires checked out as well as an overall checkup for my baby Mazda and was very impressed. I picked this location because of the overall 4 stars (hard to come by around this area), and so glad I did! First off, the store is shiny. Loved how organized the waiting room is, complete with plush sofa and high chairs. There's a small beverage station, as well as a TV to keep you entertained while you wait. Though, if you're like me, my phone can keep me entertained for a while... But those plush seats are for the win. The store manager was really helpful in getting me checked in and explained the service thoroughly. He wasn't pushy and was honest about some of the maintenance that my car would have to go through. The service was timely -- I was out before I could completely watch my small collection of favorite videos on YouTube. I've been coming to various Mr. Tires for over a decade, but I was particularly impressed with this location and Moe. I had a nail in my tire that I needed repaired, along with a few other deferred maintenance items inspected. Moe took my car back promptly and within a few minutes brought me back to the shop to explain what my options were and his recommendations -- while being understanding and not trying to push me in any direction. Saturday 6/8/19 I called prior to coming to see if they were available to process an oil change for me, I spoke with a Spanish woman named Andrea - I think, and she said sure come on down as long as I was there by 6pm because they close at that time. I arrived at 4:47pm and I speak with her and I announce that I have the $15.99 coupon for an oil change and plus I called her about 15mins ago, she says "oh it's only that price during the weekdays" now imagine my surprise because nowhere on the coupon it says that!!! So she says I'll squeeze you in but it'll be $35.99 for the oil change. I showed her what the coupon actually says and it just says that it good until 6/13/19 when the promo ends BUT nothing about weekends or weekdays unfortunately I needed this done so I had no choice at this point. So the white guy w/ long hair takes my car processes the oil change so I leave and now it rides differently and at 6:31pm my check engine light comes on....I called 6x no answer- their CLOSED! Now, I've had my car for 3 months now and I've never had the "check engine" light come on - not even once - for any reason! So I'm so upset that I came here. Oh and not to mention they put 5w30 engine oil in my car, but that engine recommends 10w30 engine oil. So today is Sunday 6/9/19 and they're closed again. Took my car to the shop to have my tire fixed (nail puncture) on Wednesday 8/11/21. Attached photo showing the nail was nowhere near the sidewall of the tire. The representative at Mr Tire said I had to replace the tire because it was too close to the sidewall. The total cost was $200 to get a new tire. As you can see from the picture, this was bogus. I felt they were trying to make a sale regardless that it was unnecessary, and was taken advantage of because I'm a female. Prior to bringing it into the shop, I spoke with multiple friends who work in this industry and was assured this should have been a cheap and easy patch job. Instead, the representative balked and refused to consider patching it. I'm a local who lives down the street, and this could have been an opportunity for repeat business should I have any other issues down the line, but instead I am left feeling taken advantage of and very upset that I paid so much money for an easy fix. Absolutely cannot fathom coming here again and strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your simple fixes. read more

Worst experience in a Mr Tire. They could not include one dollar of the work to inspect the car toward repairs and they told me $130 to inspect the car but they said ohh the tax was not included. So I paid $159. Lousy service no willingness to budge on price. I went there because they had a better price than other places. I will never ever ever go again they lost me as a customer. If they want me to take down this review they will pay me back the $29 difference for the inspection of a private salcar I was considering to buy. I called the 800 number below twice. Once today and once last week and still have not heard back. It seems like they provide a number to demonstrate a false concern for bad service. Called ahead for road force Balancing . The representative assured me that they do it for 29.99 all four tires . I asked her if she is sure about it cuz i didn't need a regular balancing . She replied YES !! Road force balancing , are you tires over 21 inch ?? . I said no 18 inch , she it should not be a problem and told me to come in . I drove about 30 min in traffic to get there around 5:30 pm . As someone who has had BAD experiences with car service places in the past, and as a woman, finding a place to get my car serviced can be a challenge. Originally came to Curry's on a groupon for an oil change, but was impressed with their customer service and their no-pressure approach to explaining what they did to your car and telling you prices up front. I noticed they had a "female friendly certified" certificate framed on their counter, as well - which I can definitely attest to! The guys here are all really nice, they can usually take you in right away even w/o an appointment, and their prices are reasonable. I've had a number of things done to my Toyota by Curry's, and everything has turned out great - no issues. Had my brake pads replaced, air filter changed, oil changed several times, etc. I like that they have a warranty on all the work they do, too - very reassuring. And if you ever have issues after getting something done there, they'll pick you up and tow your car back to the shop for free. This is a small thing, but their waiting area is really nice, too - they put out coffee and snacks and have a tv and magazines. Nice touch and bathroom was clean too :) read more

I came here expecting to just get a routine state inspection which shouldn't have been a big deal. Lucky for me because of the special close attention that the techs paid to my car they noticed that my tire was split! Had they not been paying attention I could have been in serious trouble. I ended up getting new tires at a reasonable price and the service was excellent Yes, I ended up paying far more money than I was prepared to pay but it was worth it. I've visted several Curry's locations and have never had service that was less than excellent. Everyone is polite, friendly and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable.
