Never again. This place forgot to put back the dipstick- you can just imagine what happened after months of driving without it. OIL everywhere and all the other damages that followed. It's a little small but they sure get the job done. I like coming to this one because it's less crowded than the other Jiffy Lube around the corner. They don't really hassle me about getting the extra stuff done to my car and it doesn't take'em that long to change the oil... about 20 minutes. It's located right across the from Pasadena City College and it's down the street from some nice food joints. Not much goin on inside, just a few leather chairs, coffee table, magazines, and a flat screen tv. Not sure if you're using Yelp to find your next great oil change experience, but you should definitely give this Jiffy Lube a try! read more

Colorado location in Pasadena-They didn't secure the covering underneath my undercarriage after my oil change- guess they decided to keep the screws or just screw me. This JL overcharged me by telling me my car requires synthetic oil instead of regular. I didn't know, so I said OK. When I looked it up later, it turned they had lied -- there is no problem mixing synthetic and regular oil. So, what should have cost $35 ended up costing me $90. It won't happen again to me; hopefully by reading this you will know to go somewhere else that won't rip you off! read more

I admit, I was a little nervous taking my car here, after reading the horror stories (about jiffy lube in general) but i wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. Plus I was headed to Vegas and my car need an oil change baaad. Service was quick and I was happy to get out fast, but as soon as I hit the 110 I hear a loud scraping sound. I pull over and discover that my plastic plate underneath my car was dragging in the street. Took it back and they replaced it the next day, so I am satisfied with the outcome but it was a hassle going back. When all they needed to do in the first place was tighten a few screws. From their view, it is what it is...an assembly line of cars all needing an oil change. They dont really care about your car as much as you do. so it is a crap shoot whether something will go wrong or not. Me...i'm gonna start changing my own oil. read more

I went to change my oil yesterday. My quote was $29.99 but I ended up with the $104.97 bill. One of the employees pulled my cabin air and engine filters and showed them to me. They looked dirty. We agreed that if I change both, it would cost me $50, in addition to $29.99 . When I came home and checked my bill, Jiffy Lube overcharged me by $10: $25 cabin air filter + $50 engine filter - $15 discount = $60 vs. $50 promised. Jiffy Lube, First, does $10 really worth your reputation? Second, i think upselling is getting tired and old. Be honest and say after how many miles it's recommended to change your filters. read more

I've been to this location twice now and had poor service both times. The 2nd time was the worst. Pulled up and only one car was in front of me. Sat there for about five minutes before one of the employees actually came up to my car. He asked me to go into the office so they could collect my information. Waited and waited in the office with no help. I don't know what they were all doing since they obviously weren't busy. It seemed like they were hoping I would leave. After 20 minutes, I walked back to my car which hadn't moved and left. Went to the other Jiffy Lube location around the corner on Walnut. Bigger and much better service. I came here to get a usual oil change because I was due. Normally I go to my usual mechanic but since I recently moved to the area I decided to give Jiffy Lube another chance since it was very close to my office. I had previously stopped coming to all Jiffy Lubes because of an incident several years back. So I get to the shop early right after they open because I need to be back at the office quickly. A service person comes and takes my usual information and says it's going to be out soon. I get my car about 40 minutes later and drive a few blocks away to my office thinking everything was fine. A few days later I notice there is oil on my hood, I find that strange but think nothing of it so I simply wipe it down and continue to my next destination. I then pull in to a gas station and I notice even more oil on my hood and the front side of my car. I then open my hood and discover they DIDN'T PUT THE OIL CAP BACK ON. The oil cap was just locked snuggled in between some hoses (thankfully). I then check my oil and notice that I'm missing a significant amount of oil. The next day I go back and explain to them what has occurred and they person whom helped me states they have been having a lot of trouble with the representative who helped me and that he was sorry but he would take care of the issue and clean my car from all the oil spillage. After about 30 minutes of him cleaning my car he then calls me back and says it's ready. He checks the oil one last time and then he finds that it's missing even more oil. He must have added about 2 quarts of oil while I was standing there after he had said my car was ready. Keep in mind that I drive a small 2009 Nissan Sentra so it only takes 4 maybe 5 quarts tops. He then says he is going to give me $15 dollars off my next oil change, assuming I was going to ever come back to this location. I don't think $15 off an oil change is equivalent to running the risk of my engine blowing out due to lack of oil. Thankfully I don't drive a lot nor had a long trip in which I would have really been in big trouble. Bottom line: Don't come to Jiffy Lube especially this one. Their oil changes are very expensive and their service is horrid. I hate to be negative and give this type of review but it was just a very bad experience. Hope this was helpful to some. read more

Standard run through of upsells and overall decent service. Yelp is currently doing a Check In Deal and I was able to get $12 off my service. In and out in about 16-18 minutes. I have been coming to this particular jiffy lube for around six years. its pretty much the only place I want to go to, to get my oil changed. Its of coarse fast because that's what they are known for but I'm in and out in around fifteen minutes or less and the guys there are efficient and quick. I especially am fond of Gerardo who leads the group and provides great customer service which is hard to find in Southern California in my opinion. Since I am in that particular field of business, it is a dying or less taught practice. Which is fundamental for a business to grow and have return customers. Anyways that's my two cents. read more

Danny made suggestions about things my car may benefit from but wasn't overly pushy about selling anything. Both Danny and Josh also worked hard to help me get rid of a light that kept showing up on my dash board, which had nothing to do with my oil change, so I definitely appreciated their extra effort. I have been a patron at the 'other' Pasadena location, as well as Glendale and Glendora. The team at this location hands down are the brightest and best! Location is clean and efficient. Staff are helpful but standoffish. Waiting room is small and can feel crowded at times. A location like this would benefit from having an outdoor seating area. The location on Hill has a much nicer waiting area. read more

The guys here were so helpful. My oil light went on so I thought I needed an oil change. They examined my car and found i didn't need an oil change. They explained I just needed a top off and they would do it for free. I thought my a/c was broken so they took a look and adjusted my settings and now my a/c works perfect. They explained everything and were very professional. This will be the only location I will come for an oil change. read more

For some reason they always seems to overfill the fluids and leave a mess around the drain plug. When this happens it is hard to tell if a new leak has formed. They are cheap though so I guess if you're felling lazy and don't want to change your own oil take your vehicle here. Just make sure to keep an eye on your fluid levels as the car heats up and vacuum out excess fluid if necessary. read more
