This is an establishment that is highly average. That is the best way to put it, and it's not going to blow you away or wow you but at the same time it's also not going to disappoint you. We all need these types of establishments in our lives the place you know is going to get the job done but it's not going to be incredibly fast incredibly inexpensive or just an overall amazing experience. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for about two years now whenever I need my 3000 miles oil change or if I want to get my fluids checked. The one thing I really do like about Jiffy Lube is they will check your oil your transmission fluid your wiper fluid as well as your tire pressure for free. They will top your tires as well to make sure they are the proper air pressure. This is quite clutch when you are about to go on a road trip and you want to make sure that the tires are the last thing you worry about. However at the same time they always advertise these really good oil change deals, but when you go in there it's really not as good a deal as you think. They consistently try to upsell you and update you to a different more premium oil that doesn't apply for the discount that they advertised online. Now I am not saying that this is not their job I totally understand it's a business but it is a little disappointing when you find an ad online for really cheap oil change and you go in there and it ends up not being nearly as affordable as you think. Overall they get the job done now and they do it pretty well, they will definitely not win any awards for customer service, but they will definitely get the job done and you will be satisfied with your results. I have yet to find any other place that does oil changes and since it is so close to my establishment I will probably be back to this location. If you have a regular mechanic or somebody who normally changes your oil I would definitely stick with them but if you're in the market for a brand-name oil change definitely check out Jiffy Lube. read more

Never, never again with these hacks,,,,this is the 3rd time in a row...each time I've asked them to clean my frame from spilt oil when they remove my oil filter....NOPE, they didn't do it again. My street is now puddled with a nice 8 inch circle of oil and my frame has a nice fresh coat of oil on it too.... Once again, I have to clean the street, the frame and the previous 2 times it was my driveway!......These careless young men will get nothing but poor reviews from me whenever the conversation of oil changes comes up within my community of friends... Quick and friendly service. All bays were full but they accommodated our topoff by bringing out a hand-carried filler.

So...I went in to charge the AC at this Jiffy Lube after being told by 2 other Jiffy Lube's that they couldn't provide the service. After waiting for hours, I inquired what was going on. The mechanic said he had charged the system ($140.00 as expected), but that a leak had been found in the evaporator and the lower hose and that it would take 12 hours to repair and $1,520 more. I said, "That's funny, it only took me 5 minutes to replace those parts which I did myself last week. At that point he immediately stopped pushing the point. AND he did not remove the Freon that had been put in despite the fact that he said it was leaking. Q: Are they not legally bound to remove the Freon if a leak is detected as it is harmful to the environment? Long story short...the AC is working better than ever for two weeks now, no sign of any green leakage. One more thing...what's the thing about Jiffy Lube employees using language such as "fifteen-twenty" ($1,520) to give you the bad news about something you didn't know needed fixing? Are they trained to do this because the amount is astronomical and they hope to catch the gullible who might think they're saying $15.20? I've run into this a couple times at different Jiffy Lubes. read more

Looking for a shop that could care less about service ? This is the place. If you value your time, be sure to drive by this shop. I had a prearranged set appointment this morning at 8am, and 100% of their repair staff didn't show up. I left, along with several other customers, at 8:30 to find a more reliable shop. The Jiffy Lube at 55 East Patriot Reno did leave behind the dirtiest customer waiting area that I have seen in a long time, with no less than a case of empty beer bottles in an open trash can, along with other filthy cigarette waste lying around. My complaints to Jiffy Lube home office go unanswered. From the party that it looked like they had in this one the night before, I can see why they have big trouble making it into work in the morning. read more

Very slow, they completely over charge. A fuel filter costs $11 and is very easy to put in. I didn't realize they would charge me $85 for this. Very slow, rude, and don't even do the job they say they do. They didn't wipe my windows or vacuum, I'm going to check my oil and make sure they even changed it. read more

I had to have my car towed at my own expense from another Jiffy Lube because this Jiffy Lube was the closest full service location after the Jiffy Lube on Sullivan/Oddie broke the oil plug. I spoke with Josh on 4/16 and was given every assurance that even though they would be closing soon my car would be repaired the next day and I would be provided a ride to go get my car. When I called on Sunday I was told that the full service mechanics are not there on the weekends and offered the phone number. (What good was this going to do me, when I was assured my car would be fixed on Sunday) I took the phone number and said thank you. I then called back and asked to talk to the manager. Manny got on the phone and when I asked about the status of my car he told me he didn't know what was going on with it and that it was out of his league and that I would have to wait till Monday to get my car repaired and back. As you could imagine I was very upset and angry at the fact that I was told it would be repaired on Sunday and I was now being told that i would be without a car yet another day. I said why is it not going to be repaired today it only needs a f***ing oil plug. I told him that if my car was not ready on Sunday I would not be paying for the service. I never heard anything back from him on Sunday. Monday 4/18 I received a call from Manny stating that the work had been completed on Sunday shortly after our phone conversation, but he didn't know how to reach me to let me know. (How was he now calling me?) He advised me that the plug had been fixed and that the rest of the oil change finished, but they would not be fixing the light bulbs I had requested be fixed because I was rude and distrespectful on the phone. I said that I didn't think that I should be responsible for paying for the oil change due to the negligence on their part and requiring me to have the car towed. He told me that he would just keep my car and if I wanted we could get the cops involved. Since this is my only vehicle I opted to go pick it up. When I arrived at the store (having had to take time off of work because it wasn't fixed when it was supposed to be) I was greeted and and asked if i could be helped. I let them know I was there to pick up my car. The tech said okay, walked out into the bay area and I didn't see another person for about 10 minutes. When someone else finally did come in he had to go have Manny release the paperwork so that I could pay for the service. When Manny came in he began to tell me the same story all over again. When he finished entering all of my information into the system he informed me that I owed them an additional 28 dollars on top of my groupon value. When I asked why he stated because your car requires 7 quarts of oil not 5 quarts which is what is covered with the groupon. I feel that at this point knowing everything that I had been through that there should have been some kind of additional discount or a voucher for me to receive a free oil change the next time it was needed. Not only was none of this offered I wasn't even offered an appology for the miscommunication between Josh and Manny the two managers that i dealt with. I will not be returning to this Jiffy Lube or any other Jiffy Lube after this experience and I will definitely be filing a complaint with their corporate office and posting this review as many places as possible so people are aware of how they will treat you when something goes wrong and it is their fault. read more

I've been going to this Jiffy Lube for years and have always had a satisfactory experience, however, I have had a number of car issues that have taken me there more often lately. Gomez is really friendly and professional and has done a great job getting everything taken care of. This last time I dealt with Jesse who was awesome. He went above and beyond to get my problems resolved and went out of his way to accommodate me so I wouldn't be stranded while the work was being done. I have been coming to this particular Jiffy Lube ( 55 East patriot) for many years. They give good service and are always really polite and helpful. I really appreciate it when the service rep doesn't try to sell me services I really don't want or need. On the last trip there 7/20 and 7/21, I was in and out in about 20 minutes. The mechanics were quick, efficient, and thorough and when they were done, they took me out to the car to show me the changed oil filter, and that there was clean oil . They are a bunch of punks. They told me I had an excessive leak but they could fix it. I knew I didn't have a leak, because I've checked the ground underneath my car quite often and found nothing. I checked after leaving the store and sure enough it was leaking. I wondered why I all of a sudden had a leak after getting my oil changed. I checked oil level and found that they overfilled it, which caused it to start leaking which is why they offered to fix it for a couple of hundred bucks. Why would I want an oil change place to do mechanical work on my car anyway. They should just change the oil and quit trying to sell repair service. They won't even be selling me oil changes anymore. Decided to try out Jiffy Lube and I am glad I did. S. Virginia location would not honor an expired Groupon, but Patriot location did with 15 minutes left before closing for the day. Jay at the front desk and the crew working on the car could not have been more professional. Found a brake lamp out and replaced it for $7. Vacuumed the car. Topped off all the fluids and said I could come back anytime to top off again at no extra charge. The high-mile engine on the car drove and sounded decidedly better after trying out their high-mileage option. I will definitely be back. read more

Called for a quote on new brakes on my Dodge: they had the best price of the places I called, and I was even offered a deal on top of that if it meant they'd earn my business. Dropped my car off early, was done and waiting for me when I got off work. Brakes are smooth as butter. Had requested an oil change, but the guys had a busy day and spaced it. Rather than ask me to come back due to them closing, the whole team jumped on it and got that oil change done QUICK! I will never go anywhere else for my car maintenance needs. Came in for an oil change. While getting my oil changed they told me that they could check out why my check engine light was on. Never really thought about it since it comes and goes on whenever it likes. They referred me to Josh the Breaks & Service manager and I couldn't be happier. Josh told me that they would diagnose the light and wave my fee if I ended up getting it done with them. I agreed they came back in about an hour and told me it was my gas cap. They told me how much it would be and Josh also told me that they weren't gonna charge me labor. They replaced my bad gas cap and I haven't seen the light come on since. I couldn't be happier the light that I thought was just a light ended up being something that needed attention. I wanna say thank you to the lube side for referring me to Josh and I wanna say thank you to Josh and his team for getting me in very quickly. I will always be back to have Josh and his team fix my check engine light whenever it comes back on. Came in to get a service done after my oil change. Dylan went over my scheduled maintenance and recommended I have my spark plugs replaced. Dylan told me that they could perform the service next door. I didn't think jiffy lube did anything but oil changes. Dylan had me speak with Josh. He explained to me what was part of the service and how it betters gas and overall performance. Gave me a printed copy and told me that they will beat any price out there. So I went for them to perform the service. Josh told me it would take 1 hour since they had customers ahead of me. I was ok and very happy with the out come. They had me in and out in 45 minutes. Josh came out showed me my old parts and let me know they were done with the service. I am so happy I got the service done that same day my car runs great now and my gas mpg is where it was when I first got my car. I'm giving this place one star only because there is no option for NO stars. THEY ARE A SCAM!! Over the last two months I have had NOTHING but PROBLEMS after PROBLEMS with these guys, as well as family members. My husband, mother, and myself have been taking our cars here for a long time to get the oil changed, but recently had to have more work done to my mothers car, as the guys told her that her brake pads were too low and it was unsafe to drive. She agreed to have them replaced, but after they kept squealing!! So we took it back in, and all of a sudden she needs new rotors!! Okay okay, fix that because they gave us a discount claiming it was their mistake that it was not done the first time. Fast forward a week, brakes are STILL squealing, ONLY LOUDER!! So we call...we are told its normal it will go away in about a week or so. Okay, wait a week, now the squealing is EVEN LOUDER!! So we take it back in....surprise surprise now her calipers are damaged and need to be REPLACED!! Only this time, its not their fault and they aren't sure why it wasn't noticed the last TWO times we brought it in!! So this is "not their fault" and they will not do anything except for charge an arm and leg to replace the calipers. After phone call after phone call, and countless emails sent to their main office in Utah, no one called or offered any attention to the subject. After calling them, we are still being left in the dust for a problem that was obviously created by the employees. Needless to say, we will NO LONGER be getting ANY services done here and will be letting everyone know that it is not worth the hardships!! read more
