Ron & Liam: I drove my 2017 ProMaster in there today around 3:45pm- I needed an oil change and requested they replace my battery with the new one I'd just bought. I've been here for at least half a dozen oil changes with my van- everyone I've encountered has always been super friendly and their work is always thorough and remarkably fast- my van always runs great when I leave the shop. It was a Saturday. They close at 6pm. Unfortunately, my battery was an epic b*tch to remove and replace. It's located inside the vehicle, underneath a panel, basically under the driver's feet. I've replaced car batteries before (under hoods, that is) and only once was it a "hassle" (due to insane corrosion and some severely stripped bolts). This battery swap was, however, an absolute DOOZY- and Ron & Co were NOT to blame for this. Ron worked tirelessly and I couldn't be more grateful for his commitment to completing the job, his unwavering friendliness, his obvious professionalism, and his dedication to his craft. I'm not sure how long he's been working on cars (but I seem to recall him saying, "I've been doing this a LONG time"), but he told me that that battery was one of the most difficult batteries he's ever had to contend with. I left the shop at almost exactly 6pm (when they close). Ron even took a moment to thoroughly wash his hands because he'd just realized that I'd had my dog with me the whole time and he expressed a desire to "say hi" to her! Another perfect service job. But get these $30 for $40 oil changes out of your mind it's expensive now because of the liabilities involved. I got a complete oil change with synthetic oil and it was $107. And that's with military discount 10%. They don't vacuum or wipe the windows but they check the bulbs and the fluids and top them off and that's good enough for me. read more

2 of the sweetest gentleman assisted me with my oil filter issue a couple of days ago. One was named Matthew or Michael? Idk, it started with an M that's for sure and his dog yells at him. No one yell at him. He gets enough of it from his dog. I didn't catch the others name, wish I did :p They took me in right away and we're really helpful and funny throughout. It was quick and Matthew (We'll just go with Matthew) made sure my jeep was good to go before I drove off the lot. MJ and his buddy working early Sunday morning were very friendly, accommodating and efficient. I mentioned that I had a Groupon, and first he ensured that it had been purchased 24 hours or longer (it had) then he reminded me that we needed to pay for taxes (clearly stated on the Groupon). After gathering this info, the guys started the process and finished about 15- 20 minutes later. MJ mentioned that the previous oil change had been done incorrectly, and explained why. There were no upsell or add-ons (he asked earlier if we wanted just what the Groupon paid for and I confirmed this) and he remained professional and jovial throughout the exchange. The plastic protector shield under my sedan fell off with the heavy rain and they immediately jumped in to fix it as soon as I entered the service area. I stayed in my car and chatted with staff as others helped to secure the shield with clips again. Best customer service i've seen awhile. Definitely will come here again. Great staff! read more

These guys upsold me absolve me from synthetic bland to full synthetic after I specifically told them I did not want that because it was not what Toyota recommended for this year of prius.. They put the oil in anyway and charge me more because it was full synthetic instead of blend. The Jiffy Lube in Lake City is OK but I cannot recommend this one because of their shady practices today. I have had good luck at the Lake City Jiffy Lube for years. read more

Seth, Olivia, and Cole were friendly, funny, and all around awesome. Seth was great and personable, and didn't make me feel guilty or stupid for driving over the miles I should have on my last oil change (which I have experienced before at auto shops for various reasons just because I am not also a mechanic and don't know all the things) and explained things to me in a way I understood and kept it light hearted. Covid is weird and it was interesting staying in my car for the oil change but honestly I loved that I got to talk to them a little bit and I enjoyed that. Cole was under my car/in the pit so I didn't get to meet him, but he made some good jokes so I bet he's great! Olivia was awesome and filled up my tires for me and for me as well as doing the top part of the oil change and just being super sweet. Overall, this was a great crew. I want to start off with saying that I am not typically the person who complains about things, especially something like a wait time. I have worked in customer service my whole life so I am pretty empathetic towards customer service employees and understand that even when things go awry, it's usually not on purpose, and the employees who are working are trying their best. One of the main things that drew me in was the fact they had a sign advertising "15 minute oil change" so I stopped by to get my oil changed before I had to go to work. My experience here though was pretty bad though from start to finish. I pulled up and was quickly and warmly greeted by a friendly employee, and told him I was just in for an oil change, and he said they would be right with me and to just pop the hood and leave the keys inside, and I obliged. I stepped inside and there was 1 other couple waiting for their oil change to be completed and here is where the trouble began. I over heard them talking about how long they had been waiting, and the couple were talking about the movie playing on the TV. I'm not exactly sure how long they were there, but she was comparing the movie that was playing to the movie before. Yikes. If someone has time to sit through more than one movie while their oil is getting changed, chances are they have been there for too long. Later on I overheard them talking about how they had to text the man's mother since they were going to be late to a family event because of how long it was taking. I should have taken these red flags as a sign that something was amiss. I sat there and patiently waited, my car was pulled into the bay finally about 15-20 minutes later. I understand that shops get busy especially during peak times (or when understaffed, but I saw plenty of employees here working on this 1 car) but I came here in the middle of the day and there was only the 1 other car getting serviced. It doesn't seem like there is any integrity in the company when they have a sign that says "15 minute oil change" outside, yet that time had very well passed and my car was just now getting pulled into the bay. I saw the employee who drove my car stall the engine (it is a manual/stick shift) multiple times. I watched him stall the car and lose control as the car rolled backwards since it was on an incline, and have to hit the brakes to get it to stop moving. He did this a couple more times before successfully getting it into the bay. This made me very nervous, seeing how little control over my car he had to even just drive it about 10 feet forward in a straight line. After the 2nd time my car was stalled I wanted to go out and offer to pull it up into the bay myself since it didn't seem like any employee there was capable of it. I resisted the urge, and just sat there watching the damage be done to my transmission. 15 or so more minutes pass and I'm told to come outside. Total time passed is around half an hour at this point. I go outside thinking the oil change is done, but when I came outside, I got asked what kind of oil I would like.... again, a sign that says 15 minute oil change but I'm waiting for 30 minutes and they haven't even started? It seemed instead they were too busy picking apart my car taking the air filters out trying to upsell me on a product I didn't need. I get that's their job and corporate probably enforces that, but that's not really my issue when all I came here was for an oil change. I waited another 30 minutes or so until the oil change is finally done. At this point it took a whole hour, and I am running late to work now. Again, an hour for an oil change that was advertised as "15 minute oil change". Supposedly I should have been able to have my oil changed 4 times in that period of time, and thats what I came here for, and thats what I paid for. I didn't pay for an hour long oil change (I would have easily gone somewhere else if I had known ahead of time), I paid for a 15 minute oil change which I didn't receive. All the employees were friendly but I don't understand what the issue was or why this took so long. Is this normal? Does Jiffy-Lube just lie to their customers and not care about their day? If it isn't normal I'm not sure why I wasn't informed before the oil change started (something along the lines of "Hey because of xyz our service time is around an hour instead of 15 minutes, is that okay?" I felt like I was being held hostage their since I couldn't leave with my car taken apart and I felt like I was being robbed when I was forced to pay for this. This whole experience just reflects so badly on the business, and I almost wanted to warn the 2 people that came in after me to steer clear of this place if they dont want to wait an hour plus for their oil to be changed. To make matters worse, the District Manager Rory Aldana reached out to me, only to stop replying to my messages even after repeated attempts to follow up. The staff and service here are honestly exceptional. These guys were totally slammed the whole time my car was there, but they all kept such positive attitudes, handling the fast pace respectfully and gracefully. It was immediately apparent that the whole team, especially the manager MJ, are properly knowledgeable and excellent at their jobs. Consistently demonstrating incredible customer service skills, as well as evident expertise in their field, not only are they extremely good at what they do, but they seem to genuinely enjoy their work too (and they even work so well together). It's noticeable when people are happy in their work environment. All the customers were treated so kindly, no one seemed to mind the wait times, which honestly weren't bad at all. I used to do my own oil changes and minor maintenance, but not having a garage eliminated those days. Since moving to Seattle, Jiffy Lube has taken great care of my car and the folks at this location never let me down. I get coupons via email and since I only change my oil every 5K miles, the timing of the more valuable $15 off and 25% off coupons is usually perfect. The staff is friendly, but the best part is that it's a no-pressure environment. They explain the services I want and then go through the scheduled services to see if I want to add anything. If I say no, it ends there and I like that because some shops try the scare tactics of what "could" happen if you don't do this or that even if you know you don't need the service. The shop is clean, the staff is professional and knowledgeable, and I'm in and out in a decent amount of time. I wish the prices were a little lower, but who doesn't! They also have top-off service between visits; this is at all locations, but I can honestly say I've only been reminded of it at this one. Keep up the good work fellas...and ladies! TLDR: I paid for an oil change that didn't happen My usual Jiffy lube is on Greenwood, which I always had a positive experience with. On my last oil change, I decided to go to this particular location because I need to go to Safeway after. I don't know if it was because it was busy that I fell through the cracks, or they were annoyed that I declined all other services than an oil change. Whatever the case may be, it didn't get done. A month later, my check oil light came on and I noticed my engine sounded differently. I took it in my usual Jiffylube and they told me, "yah, there's no oil on there..."
