So far, so good. Called ahead because the Pepboys (since gone out of business) in Shoreline was always out of the filter or the synthetic oil that I use in my 2014 4Runner. I spoke with the manager MJ. He confirmed that they had my oil and filter. I was checked in and the work was started within 5 minutes! This is a first come, first serve place so I was prepared to wait. The whole crew seemed liked they enjoyed the job and the attitude around the shop seemed really positive. Great job MJ! read more

My last oil change here was amazingly fast and friendly. I had used some Sea Foam oil cleaning additive between oil changes, which apparently worked really well because Michael J. checked in before they did the oil change to make sure my oil wasn't still new. Super honest and helpful guys. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I found some oil smudges on my car door and on the steering wheel after the oil change. Not a huge deal since I keep shop towels and cleaner in my trunk, but never had this happen before at Jiffy Lube. I'm willing to bet it was just a fluke though and will definitely come back for my next oil change! read more

Spent $49,99 on a cabin air filter ($15 on Amazon) for them to "install" it and now it makes noise. Like a fan hitting paper. Tire inflation light was on the minute I pulled out. "We recommend the high mileage oil, oops, we don't have it. How about this one? Back to the dealership because I don't trust anything they did now. Total price. $139. Total value. My personal lube assistant, just say'n..... Sheesh! For my vehicles for cripes sake!! These folks are cool enough, they start with the up-sell, you know, air filter, oil options, etc... I tell them back off, as I used to change and lube my own vehicles back in the day, they say cool and go on their merry way. I tell the Tech don't worry about check'n the air filter as I just changed it the other day, he said thanks and mentions they'll save a lot of time since just to get to the air filter on a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan is a nightmare, I say, yup, and show them my scarred knuckles. Disappointed on how I was treated. They supposed to be open at a certain time and I went in to see why the garage doors weren't open. First thing the woman says is that they aren't open. I mentioned about seeing them open at 7am and she meanly states that she's not going to do a car by herself because her technician is not there. I'm like...okay sorry I didn't know that they were understaffed. Maybe a sign on the door would've helped and she didn't have to speak to me in a mean way. These guys are friendly and fast, but I'm writing this review to talk about the "upsell" that feels more like a scam. I'll admit up front that I'm bitter because at age sixteen, during my first oil change, I was tricked into buying a brand new air filter for my brand new car. The guy brought my semi-dusty filter out into the lobby where I was waiting, and with a concerned look asked me if I wanted them to replace it. I had no idea what a "bad" air filter should look like, and I certainly didn't have the smarts to ask them the right questions. But that was at the Jiffy Lube in Federal Way, and I'm talking now about the one in Shoreline... The first time I had my oil changed there, the guy told me the really nice oil was the same price (today only!) as the cheap stuff. Sounded like a good deal to me so I said "sure!" and went on my merry way. The second time I went there, he brought me over to a screen on his computer that showed a set of "oil choices" and told me "You've been using the really nice stuff so you probably want to do that again". My scam radar went *ding ding ding* and I pointed at the cheapest one and asked for that. He pushed me into getting the next level up, and I reluctantly agreed because I was proud of myself for supposedly outsmarting them. Got back into the car and looked at my receipt and saw that the oil types he'd told me to choose from were actually all upgrades, and the prices I saw on the screen were ON TOP of the basic oil change. It's the same principle as the air filter trick, acting like you MUST make a decision, when it's actually an unnecessary replacement or upgrade. I lost a hundred bucks to them because I was led to believe that I had to choose a certain type of oil, and not once did he say it was optional. I really like the guy who changed my oil both times, but now that I know what was going on I am left feeling like this dishonest company took advantage of me. Again. read more

Was not happy with service. They said my vehicle required synthetic oil. I checked my manual and it said otherwise. I confronted them about it but he said there was nothing they could do. I said you can refund me the money. The oil change was $100. I called corporate and got a full refund. It took several days to get to this point. In addition if you have an all-wheel-drive vehicle like my RAV4 it is automatically twice the cost. I will not use Jiffy Lube again. read more

I called 15mins before they close and let them know I was only mins away and they told me I can still come in. The whole thing took about ~30mins I think. Their customer service was great! I spoke with MJ the general manager and Matt who's the customer service advisor. They both provided an excellent customer service. I also used coupons, and most places give you a hard time when you do that but they were chill. I went to get an oil change on a Sunday afternoon and there was definitely something not right about what was going on at this Jiffy Lube. Just needing the simple $29.99 oil change I was told that was no longer available even though it was clearly on the sign and two banners over the bays. Then as I was leaving since I apparently couldn't get an oil change another car that seemed to be friends with the workers pulled in and was helped immediately. The owner should be concerned there is something going on here. I'm pretty sure the employees are scamming the place. read more

My husband and I came in to get an oil change on a relatively busy Saturday and were greeted right away. The team here is efficient and you can tell they work well together. MJ and Niel did a great job with the oil change but also did a full inspection of the underside of our car and were able to point out a random bungee cord they found underneath (who knows what it was doing there) and fixed it up so that it wouldn't snag on anything. The customer service was above and beyond what we expected and we were super happy with the job they did. They seemed like genuinely nice guys too. Would definitely come back again! read more

I will agree with other reviewers that they do try to upsell. This can be confusing for those of us who don't have a great knowledge of cars. It can be hard to determine what is really necessary or not. This is a Jiffy Lube thing though - not a location specific thing. I'm going to give them 5 stars for 2 reasons. One...these guys are always polite, helpful and quick. Two...I have a brother dying of cancer. I had just been given his "3 months to live" diagnosis. Needless to say, I was a bit of a mess. I had an appointment in another city the next morning and my tires were low on air. This is something my brother usually does for me. I dropped by on the way home and asked how much it would cost to fill my tires. The guy happily said "nothing!...feel free to go have a coffee and we will get this done for you". In my sadness lately, I also have let the car get a bit dirty. They said "hey should we vacuum for you?". This meant so much, because I just haven't had the energy to do it and it has been bugging me. I think so many businesses have forgotten simple customer service. You never know what someone is going through. These guys had no idea what I was going through. Their simple act of being kind made my day. So thanks guys! Keep up the good work! read more

Early morning oil change on a Saturday morning. First and only person at this location, lol. Kind of hidden if u arent looking for it. Im guessing this is the reason. Not sure just how much these guys really know about cars under the hood based on their statements about their "inspection", but since i was the only customer service went fairly quickly. The waiting area is pretty typical, cold, no tv, 4 magazines and smells of oil, lol. They do try to upsell which is a pain. Vacuumed out my car and cleaned the windshield as part of the service. For the last 8-10 years I've been an avid supporter and advocate for jiffy Lube. I've just recently began being a patron of this location in the last year or two. I've visited 4x; however the last 2x visits have considerably left an absolutely disgusting taste in my mouth and a HUGE DENT + POTENTIAL DENT IN OUR POCKET BOOKS. It all began with our last oil change, the team there does a great job at acting as if their customer service is ON POINT...HOWEVER.... after my oil change they didn't fasten the radiator cap all the way; later that evening on my trip to Portland my car began to expel tons of smoke. I pulled over and to my surprise not only was the radiator cap missing but the radiator fluid evacuated out from the compartment and spilled ALL OVER MY ENGINE/Other Parts. Now...I don't know DIDDLY SQUAT about cars, so I stopped at a local gas station, and in my panic purchased a random coolant fluid and topped off my radiator... WAS INCREDIBLY FORTUNATE to find the radiator cap sitting on the frame....canceled my trip.... and went home. The following morning I visited the Jiffy Lube (BIG MISTAKE)... they said I needed a radiator flush ($155) as well as a new radiator cap ($20). I paid it... had a sour taste in my mouth, but figured they had my best interest in mind. OH MAN... DOES IT GET #$@#$@# BETTER! Not a day goes by.... and red / amber fluid comes GUSHING OUT OF MY VEHICLE. At this point, I'm about ready to just give up and start taking the bus. I opt out of going to Jiffy Lub and visit another (Reputable) mechanic nearby; literarily 6 blocks south of jiffy Lube. I drop my car off at 8 am and by 8:45 they call me and ask me to come in. The mechanic meets with me and asks me 1 question. . . . . "Did you recently flush your coolant?" I replied yes Jiffy Lube did it.... HE CHUCKLED.... remained AMAZINGLY CALM... and hinted that this has occurred before, but was incredibly responsible and didn't drag Jiffy Lubes name through the ground, instead he said what happened was they (jiffy lube) didn't fasten (insert part name here) and caused the radiator fluid to spill out entirely (4 quarts worth). NOW IMAGINE....IF THIS MECHANIC WANTED....HE/THEY COULD'VE TOOK ME TO POUND TOWN...I explained to them I had no clue what I was doing and what the leaking fluid was..... and instead of taking advantage of me.... they simply said that they fastened it..... cleaned up the area around it and took care of the vehicle. Asked if I wanted to top off for $Xxx amount... I said of coarse... and THEY PROVIDED ME WITH THE MOST AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. This mechanic / company could've easily drug Jiffy Lube's name through the mud; however they stayed professional and were so kind. SO... jiffy lube has obviously deceived me and potentially completely messed up my transmission. Thank you to Edwards Automotive for your mercy, professionalism and honesty. Had a great experience getting my oil changed today. When i pulled up, the employees recognized me right away and already knew what my order was. They new some of the pre existing issues with my car (it burns oil) and were able to diagnose some of the newer issues that started cropping up. Getting your oil changed can feel like a laborious task especially when there are 3 cars ahead of you in line! Turns out these guys have amazing service and turn around time and i was threw the line quickly and efficiently. Very nice staff and great service! I went in the other day a half hour before they were due to close which I felt bad since it was the only time I could and my car had just recently started making an unpleasant noise. However, the staff didn't mind and were very nice about the whole situation. When I pulled up they let me know right away that it would be a half hour wait since they only had two people working. I didn't mind waiting, I wasn't in a hurry and already knew there would be a wait either way. They let me know that I was due for some servicing but didn't push the sale, it was more of a reminder as something I should do. Honestly feel like I just wasted $50 and an hour of my time. I am annoyed. I went to jiffy lube and they said it'd be an hour so I came back in an hour and the guy was like "we did this and this and washed the exterior windows and all that" and I thought that's nice and then I got in my car and noticed they hadn't cleaned it up at all like they usually do so I looked at the receipt, and among all the items it says "vacuumed floors- completed" and "washed exterior windows- completed" and like, maybe they did the shittiest job ever washing the windows and they immediately got covered in more schmutz, but they do not seem like they've been washed and the floors were certainly not vacuumed. So I'm like, did they not do anything? I notice they changed the sticker (barely!) but my check engine light was still on so I went back to ask about that. They were all standing around smoking. They were like yeah sorry we don't know about the check engine light, which is fine, but I just felt like... y'all have 5 of you standing around smoking and looking at your phones, and over the course of an hour you didn't have time to vacuum my floors or wash my windows? Or potentially do anything else, I feel like I have no idea if they checked anything! read more
