I judge my Jiffy Lube's by how hard they hassle me to buy additional services when I am there. This one didn't do that (they even sent me home with mail-in coupons), so they get 5 stars! I have consistently had good experiences at the Jiffy Lubes in Seattle thus far; Ballard being the best. People here are honest, friendly, and speedy! Sure, you're paying a lot more for an oil change on the go (mine came to about $75), but for people who work a million hours like I do, I enjoy having the option to do so. Wish I could give a zero since they had my car for 45 min before they called to tell me they couldn't get the oil cap off to change the oil. Not being able to service my car, would be fine, but the Manager was rude, spoke down to me, and acted like I was a idiot. When I asked for my keys he told me to sit down and wait to sign the work order. Would a man be treated this way? Probably not unless the Manager is just a total jerk to everyone. On the plus side, the assistant manager was at least nice and brought me my keys and walked out to my car, offered a discount for next time. (Not that I'll be going back there.) Today I had the pleasure of being a customer of Ted and Dave. Not only were they knowledgeable and professional, but they were kind. They topped off my oil and checked my fluids assuring me that things were fine as that my oil light kept coming on. Their friendly faces were welcoming at 7:30am... NOT grumpsters. Stopped by since I was due for my oil change. They got me right in and out in less than 15 mins. The guy who checked me in was helpful, answered all my questions, and didn't push unneeded extras. The only compliant I have is they vacuumed my car but didn't do a great job. I wasn't expecting it and was told about it being done when paying, but when I got back in my car, only half of the stuff on the floor had been cleaned. Worse than terrible service. Took my truck in for a routine oil change and when I drove away I realized the driver side door handle had been literally ripped off. I went back and talked to both the technician and manager responsible for servicing my truck and they denied it happened. They just flat out lied and said there was nothing they could do. Good service. Nice people. Gave me a discount. The only reason it's not a 5 star rating is because the kid who was being trained damaged the valve on my tire when he went to check the pressure and I got a flat right after leaving there. I had stopped him and asked that he not worry about the tire pressure-it was the only one he checked. I had to sit at the tire shop a couple of hours waiting to get in to get it fixed. They confirmed it had to have happened there, that nothing else was wrong with the tire and that damage just inside the valve was fresh. This caused it to deflate. I hate giving 1 star. I do not reward bad behavior. I went in Friday of last week. I was the only one there. My car took longer then I expected. What's more concerning is that there was a man sipping coffee who clearly did not work there. He even said I dont work here. He was sipping coffee and shooting the breeze. He actually got in my car. I was so confused because he didnt work there. I actually let it go. I should not have. I had to go to work. I got on the freeway and let me tell you I freaked out. The idiot put my car to show kilometers per hour instead of miles. I did not know how to fox it. So I'm driving down the freeway freaking out, not knowing how fast i was going. Then the buzzer starts coming on to get my oil changed. Are you kidding me? I was livid. Took my car to another jiffy lube to fix the miles and reset the sensor. Late to work. I called jiffy lube to get a corporate number. The manager who denied this happening, gave me 4 numbers. Not a single one worked. 2 were prank call lines. How insulting. I went in for an oil change at the end of February in my new Dodge Challenger and as far as time went, the oil change went fine, but as they were finishing the process... the technician slammed my hood so hard that it literally cracked the cover on top of my engine. I honestly didn't even think that could be possible. In addition to that, after getting home I noticed specks and chunks of yellowish paint all over the bay of my engine which I called and asked about... turns out it was a tamper seal paste they use to void any responsibility if anything goes wrong. They wouldn't take responsibility for the cover and when I asked why they used so much tamper seal on a car with less than 10k miles, he said "oh yeah, I know who did it and he probably won't be working here much longer." Seriously? Why do I have to be the one they figure that out on. Absolutely joke. They seem like nice guys but I'm not going back unless there can be some kind of deal worked out to replace my cover and definitely not in any kind of nice car. If you own a nice vehicle in which you take pride in, go to the dealership. That's the mistake that I made. Absolute joke read more

WARNING: Negligent service! I've had two incidents at this Jiffy Lube, and I won't be back. The first was during a regular oil change. They didn't add enough oil, resulting in a warning light on the dash not more than 100 yards down the road. Their excuse? "Oh, your car's dipstick is really hard to read." The more egregious of the two: Last time I got my oil changed, they removed the radiator cap, and forgot to put it back on. When I went to a mechanic to get an engine light checked out, they alerted me to the missing cap, as well as a dangerously low engine coolant level -- they told me that if I'd gone on one long drive in warm weather, it would likely have completely exhausted the coolant, resulting in an overheated engine and likely thousands of dollars worth of damage. This seemingly minor oversight -- not putting a cap back on -- had potential to become a huge, huge problem. Thank God I took the car in somewhere else before it got to that point. I won't be back to this, or any, Jiffy Lube. read more

I confess, I have an aversion to these fast oil and lube franchises. So much so that I opened the hood of my car and snapped a photo of my oil filter before I took my car in to compare it with after the oil change to make sure the filter got changed. I have nothing but good things to say about this particular Jiffy Lube. The guy that checked me in was jovial and the staff seemed authentically happy to be there. Not the typical fake smiles and corporate-speak. They looked at my car then showed me the list of options. I said "do this but don't do that" and they said "OK, we'll be done and have you out in 10 minutes." Not a shred of pressure to do anything. It was a completely satisfying way to spend 15 minutes taking care of my car! And, yes, I checked and they did change the oil filter! :-) read more

I have been to Jiffy Lube for the last 8 years and during that time, never had I had an experience that lasted as long as yesterday. I sat for 1.5 hours waiting for a "15 minute" oil change. During the time I sat there, 3-4 other people came and left after I had been there. All for the same oil change. I after an hour of just waiting, I asked the front desk why it was taking so long. I immediately got told that I was merely in line and I was next. At that point the front desk employee yelled to the crew saying to prioritize my car and was asking what was wrong. That is when I realized they had just started my oil change. My car had been sitting there for 60 minutes with the hood popped and nothing happening. Not sure if this was due to lack of care of my vehicle or if the employee's that day were under trained (took 1 person 15-20 minutes to put my air filter back in the car). Either way, it's crazy that as soon as I ask why it's taking so long, they magically get the car done in the next 10 minutes. I will not be returning to that shop. read more

On the bright side, no appointment necessary and a relatively quick job. 20 minutes and you are out of there assuming nobody is ahead of you. I want in the morning before 10 am and they have an early bird special that gives a free 5 dollar starbucks gift card. The people were nice, just watch out for them trying to convince you to get the fuel cleaning procedure which is a rip off. This is my go-to any time I need an oil change, and in fact, anytime I've taken my Jeep elsewhere I've had a super poor experience (I think because this location does such a great job). Admittedly, part of the reason I don't change my own oil is because of everything that comes with Jiffy Lube's signature service, i.e. the vacuuming of the interior - ha! :) Everyone at this location is helpful, friendly, and my car looks/runs great after each visit and there's always some promotion they're running that gets you a few bucks off the standard price. read more

This has been my Jiffy Lube location for the past couple of years, and at the risk of sounding selfish, I hope the current manager and staff stick around at least another couple of years. The manager here is honest with me, he's the first JL manager that doesn't try to sell me anything my old, reliable, 1996 Oldsmobile doesn't need. Just to share, I went there a few months early for a change, they said my car didn't need an oil change, yet; however, the manager topped off my oil while another team member vacuumed my car...at NO CHARGE. When I showed up this week for an oil change, (it was necessary, this time),I was offered a bottle of water as soon as I stepped out of my car. After a few minutes, the manager checked in with me, discussed the various grades of oils, synthetic versus conventional, etc., and explained to me why I didn't really need the more expensive oil for my car's needs. I needed to replace my old wiper blades and he gave me a quick tutorial on how I can do it myself next time...or, just come back and they'll do it for me, pronto. I was in and out within twenty minutes, (lucky I came during a lull), and I drove away in my freshly vacuumed car. Service here is top-notch and I commend the manager and his team of knowledgeable auto techs; I have no reason to go anywhere else. read more

I went in to change a headlight since I noticed it went out the night before. I came in around 10:15 am, handed over the keys and sat down in the lobby. Less than 2 minutes later, a technician came in and said it was finished. I asked how much and he waved his hand telling me not to worry about it. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised! Stopped in on a weekday morning for an oil change, and couldn't be happier with the experience. I've never been into an auto shop because my husband does all the car maintenance, and they were so friendly and patient with me. I had no idea what I was doing (parked in the wrong place, did the key hand-off wrong, didn't have good answers to their car questions...) and they were very professional, up-front, and clear about the service without talking down to me or making me feel dumb or out of place. A nice surprise that the service included vacuuming our floors and checking a list of other systems to make sure everything looked good. Preparing for a car trip, it gave my husband great peace of mind and saved him time that he'd have used to inspect belts, check the tire pressure, etc. Great service, great product. I am sad to give this Jiffy Lube a one star, because I really liked the personality of the guy who helped me that day. I ought to point out up front that he wasn't the one who actually worked on my car, but there is no excuse for this, Jiffy Lube! My car was due for an oil change, and a little caution light was telling me that my tire pressure was low as well. To take care of it all (and get a free vacuuming!), I found the closest Jiffy Lube, because I know they do a multiple-point check on your car. I told the guy up front that the tires needed air, that I wanted synthetic oil, etc., etc. I asked about a AAA discount, but he said I wouldn't need it... he was already giving me a discount. Sweet! I wasn't in a huge rush or anything, but I know Jiffy Lube is never very jiffy, so I was patient and watched through the window as they worked. After about 45 minutes, my car was ready to go. The guy said my oil had been low, so it was good that I came in for the change. He also said the warning light for my low tire pressure would go away after driving a few miles. I was skeptical, though, because I watched almost the entire time and didn't see them mess with the tires. But I didn't question their service, because the tire checks are standard. When the bill came out, it seemed super high... much higher than I've paid in the past for my oil changes (even with the synthetic oil). Thinking that maybe I had just imagined cheap prices in the past, I just paid and went about my day. After driving around for 5 miles or so, the tire pressure warning never went away. Not trusting myself to measure it correctly at a gas station on my own, I just swung by another Jiffy Lube to ask for help. The guy found that each of my tires was at 29 psi, but they needed to be at 34 psi. WTF? Did the other Jiffy Lube guy lie to me, or did he just not realize they had forgotten? And no one ever vacuumed my car. :( So really, I just went to Jiffy Lube to get an overpriced oil change. Grr. I'll know to go elsewhere next time. read more

I drove around my neighborhood and tried to find an oil change place that I can trust. The only place with yelp high rating in Lake City is booked for today. Therefore, I came back to jiffy lube. I really don't know the mechanic stuffs, but as far as the services and explanations I think they did a great job and they were very patient with me.
