Called to see if they could do a transmission drain and fill. Was told (after being asked the make and model of my car) they can and that I should bring my car in. Then after driving over there, they said they couldn't do that since the device was registering a bigger issue. I then was told to take to a nearby transmission place and they looked at it and a wire had been chewed through by a squirrel, and that was causing the computer reading/ check engine light. No idea why they couldn't have done the drain and fill at Jiffy Lube, but it seems like they were too lazy to bother checking the actual transmission. Maybe it's a corporate thing? I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. I was informed by the Jiffy Lube employee that my vehicle only takes synthetic oil. That is not true and I let the employee know that. I've always put synthetic blend in my vehicle and the vehicles owners manual also says synthetic blend. The employee was still very persistent that it only takes synthetic and gave me a attitude that I didn't choose that oil. If you want to upsell a product, explain the benefits. Don't say your vehicle ONLY takes one product when it doesn't. I will NOT visit any Jiffy Lube location again. read more

I had a great experience with this Jiffy Lube. I always have my MDX serviced at the dealership, but upon arriving it was over a 2 hour wait. All I needed was the oil topped off in my car. The oil is in an awkward place and can be difficult to get to. I drove down the street to Jiffy Lube. They immediately got my car in a stall. The employee listened to my issue and checked my oil. He hooked up the oil and got it filled for me. He even explained to me how I could potentially fill it myself and what I would need to purchase to do so. I appreciate him taking the time to educate me on it. I will definitely go back to this location. They were thorough, listened to my needs, and taught me how to get to the difficult location. I've been coming to this location for years, with a variety of different vehicles we own. Hands down, this is the BEST location! I've been stuck having to go elsewhere, and it's not the same. Other oil change places will try to sell you things you don't need. Not this one! The staff is super knowledgeable & friendly. I've gone during the pandemic, and they've stuck to strict guidelines to keep me/others safe. Yesterday I took my vehicle, and Marvin, V, & Nicholas took great care of my car. They were awesome! Not forcing me into anything I didn't need, getting my oil changed, and getting me back on the road. V noticed my car was due for a service, and offered to do it. I knew I didn't have to get it done, but I trust these guys, so I did it. Since I have to stay in my vehicle during the pandemic, I had to roll my window down to communicate with them; I was joking with the guys & the time flew by! The service is fast and prices are reasonable, especially if you have a coupon. Here is my one point of caution; if you choose to come here make sure you know your factory service intervals. The technician performing the work brought in my nearly pristine air filter (nearly as clean and white as a wedding dress) to show me and told me that in spite of it being clean, that it should be replaced because it has 5,000 miles on it. When I disagreed and told him that was not the case, he never once recanted and told me that it needed to be changed at 5,000 miles, regardless of the condition. This is an all out lie for the intent of an up-sale. Toyota recommends replacement every 15,000 or 30,000 miles based on use. I brought it up to the manager who was apologetic and stated he would talk with the the service writer about the issue. I don't appreciate employees who lie in order to increase their sales. We brought my car in a week ago for diagnostics on an oil leak- said it was valve covers- $260. $60 parts, the rest labor. Brought it back Tuesday to have the work done and the guy said it was something else in addition to the valve covers- didn't change the amount so we didn't mind. However, this guy spent ANOTHER 3 hours doing diagnoses, so the car still didn't get fixed. (You see, we have children and jobs so, we can't leave our vehicle at Jiffy Lube entire the entire day). Brought it back this morning (8:30) and told the guy we needed it by 1:30. He called at 11:30 to say they ordered the wrong valve covers and would have to wait to receive them. I'm thinking that this is something he should've checked when he first began working on the vehicle. In any case, after 3 visits the car is only 1/2 fixed. I had asked if they could help me replace my headlight and tail light, but it turns out I had previously purchased the wrong tail light. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Jiffy lube is THE WORST. They just tell me my car requires synthetic oil when my mechanic and autozone say regular oil is fine. This is the second jiffy lube that has done this. Then they say they don't have regular oil.. Haha, that's insulting if you think I'd believe that. This place is inconsistent at best. Usually try to be the first one here on a Sat or Sunday morning to avoid long waits, but have seen it take 15 minutes or over an hour. One time was first in and the guy told me it would be over a 45 minute wait cause he was the only one there. Yesterday was the icing on the cake though - pouring down rain, pulled up for an oil change, asked if I could stay in my car. Was told I couldn't and that they don't do that here anymore. Walked into the office, there was a guy sitting at the computer who didn't even look up or acknowledge me (or the other person in the office at all). Also, when I brought my other car through not too long ago, it was not an issue at all. No explanation or anything, just "we dont do that" - really seems like whoever you first meet makes the rules here. Small thing I know, but just wish it'd be consistent as other jiffy lubes and valvoline around the corner let you stay in the car as opposed to waiting in their office. I went here after buying new tires for my car. All I wanted was an oil change. This place is far from jiffy. They tried to up sell me 2 times and gave me 2 quotes when all I wanted was an oil change. They even tried to sell me lenses for my headlights and my car is only 3 years old. I spent an hour and a half waiting and they only had 2 cars in the bay. They spend more time inspecting your car then an oil change would take. All they are doing is trying to find little BS problems to rip you off on. Very fast service at half the price (or less!), and they didn't try to upsell anything. The new battery comes with a 5-year warranty, which is a huge benefit, in my opinion. I decided to use a coupon . So I went on line to the local Jiffy Lube website and Thousand Oaks . The one on herbs and Thousand Oaks Boulevard . Downloaded a coupon from their website . I went to that Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed with my coupon in hand . Talk to a gentleman told him I came with my coupon and he told me to pull in to get my oil changed so I did . Once they had my car opened up Hood up filters out . A long list of things I needed to get done. They told me they wouldn't honor the coupon . After some back and forth they honored the coupon . The upsell was almost strong armed in nature . They wanted $200 to change my differential oil. And $130 to change my brake fluid oil . I declined both of those . When I was through I went to my mechanic . Who informed me I didn't need any of this stuff changed . I could have just went and got my oil change with my mechanic and paid about $10 more . Which is what I will do next time I would highly recommend not wasting your time with this particular Jiffy Lube read more

A lot has changed since my old mechanics left this place to work elsewhere. I should have taken that as a sign. Today I came in for a routine oil change.. little did I know that I would encounter not one, but several unpleasant surprises. 1. The bald guy with a beard pulled out some random person's dirty air filter and insisted that it was mine. I told him that I replaced my filter exactly 1 month ago, at a different location. I even have the paper records to prove it. That shut him up real fast. 2. After the oil change was completed, I pulled out of the parking lot. I was not even past a few meters away when all of a sudden, my engine DIED in the middle of the street as I was making a right turn on T.O. Blvd. It was a scary situation because cars were approaching quickly, and I was directly blocking their path. I immediately ran back to the Jiffy Lube office and yelled to the mechanics that my engine died. 3. One of the mechanics got into my car, turned off the engine, then turned it back on again. He yelled to the other mechanics that "The Check Engine Light is on! It's been on this entire time!" I know for a fact that this is NOT true. I was just in the car a few seconds ago, and the Check Engine Light was not on. After he took my car for a spin and came back, I looked in and still did not see the light on as he claimed. How deceitful. He lied to cover their asses and blame this issue on a preexisting condition that my car may have had. This mechanic was Hispanic and left immediately after he did the test drive (around 5pm). He was not wearing a uniform like his coworkers, but a gray T-shirt. 4. I made a different mechanic (I think his name was Greg, some blonde kid) check the hoses and make sure that everything relating to ignition was connected. I chose Greg in particular to do this task because he's the only one at this location whom I trust. He did my front and rear brakes last time, and I can tell the difference with braking power and distance. That's the only saving grace. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here again. I hope that others, especially WOMEN, will read my review and take caution. read more

Great customer service!!!!!! Thoroughly explained everything and let me know about the things that might need to done in the near future. They were able to put in a new radiator in the matter of a few hours. Also got an alignment with a couple new tires and an oil change. I hadn't done anything to my car in forever, so it needed a few different things repaired/replaced. The repairs weren't cheap, but it wouldn't have been much less anywhere else, if at all. I got the firestone credit card, which has no interest for 6 months and gives a 10% discount. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with the card, but in this case it actually made sense. In the past I probably would have just gone to the corner mechanic, but with a national company, there's no worry about getting warranty work done. And you can hold them accountable for the work they were supposed to have done. Something I have had a problem with in the past with the neighborhood mechanic. read more

The only reason I'm giving 1 star is that I got my money back. What a terrible experience all around. Paid $211 for a oil change in a 2019 pick up truck (rip off) from moment I arrived, the customer service was terrible, they were rude and acted like you were bothering them. Hr after leaving my low oil light comes on and there is zero oil on dip stick. They wanted me to get the truck back to them myself but after raising my voice they came to me. Upon arrival the guy acted like i was imposing on him (I'm supposed to be on a job btw) he pours about a gallon of oil in, it finally shows on stick, adds some more and shown me it's full and precedes to tell me he only added two quarts after I stood a foot from him as he added it. On return to the store to get my refund the guy at the counter literally asked me if I wanted to keep the air filter he was only refunding for oil, again had to explain the facts of life to this genius (at this point I've missed a days work) the guy was rude, saw me standing at front counter from outside, left me standing there 10 minutes. I have to say - I was pleasantly surprised during my last visit to Jiffy Lube... My last few experiences at Jiffy Lube years ago left me not wanting to come back. At best, they were ho-hum at service and pushy w/ the up-sells. At worst, they left the oil filler cap off of my car's engine! The only reason I noticed was that after I drove my car a few miles, I noticed that my car's hood wasn't seated properly. A quick inspection revealed that, fortunately, the oil cap was wedged between the hood and a flat area, and didn't fall to the road. That was the last straw... So, recently, when I received a coupon in the mail for a $19.95 Jiffy Lube "Signature Oil Change," I decided to give them another shot. I went on Sunday, July 3rd. The brief run-down: All of the staff that I interacted with was friendly and personable, except for the first guy who greeted me. That guy could have lightened up a bit. When it came time for me to get some paperwork, the guy simply gave me a printout of "recommended" services. And that was it! They also let me choose what interval I'd like my reminder stickers printed for. (e.g., every 3K, 5K, or other interval of miles that I wanted. I chose 5K, as that's the manufacturer's recommended). The waiting area was clean. The AC *strong*, which was good for that steamy July 3rd.. It took them about 50 minutes from start to finish. When my car was done, I was confused as to why they had left the hood up. When I went to get into my car, one of their guys motioned me to in front of the car, and he summarized the services they did for me, and showed my the oil level in the engine. I have to admit, I was impressed by this. All in all, would I go back? Based on this experience, heck ya. I don't know if I'd wanna pay their regular $40 price or so, but $19.95, most definitely. read more
