They gave us a couple minutes to think it over and realize that it was actually the best deal for us to add on. I came in to do an oil change. They asked if I wanted the filter and oil changed. I said yes even though I was only planning on changing the oil. After agreeing to this they came back and also mentioned that my battery needed changed. I told him I couldn't afford it right now that I would do both the oil and the filters today and would have to come back for the battery. They proceeded to do their work, while attaching a battery gauge to my battery, and when they were done I went to turn on my car and it didn't work. "See , what did I tell you! You need a new battery." When I got upset because my car was fine ten minutes earlier they sent over the manager to explain. He quickly said they would fix it and recharge my battery. WTH. Never go here. They add items you do not need to the list and attempt to pull the wool over your eyes. They treat you like you are dumb and you can be taken advantage of. They do not take the time to thoroughly explain to you why it is you need done what needs to be done and then you leave wondering how you spent almost $400 when all you needed was an oil change. read more

After an oil change I was told for a free top off from previous visit at different location, I was told I couldn't get it at that location but that they would give me a discount. Gave me a price of $30 for a top off. I thought well I don't have to go buy the oil myself I'm already there, sure why not. Well because they used more oil now my bill said $78, mind you they didn't say anything just asked me for my card. I saw the total on the computer and asked why was I quoted $30 at the beginning and now it's more than double. He says it's because they needed more oil than what he thought as synthetic oil is expensive. I got annoyed because it wasn't only this but the whole service lasted about an hour and 15ish minutes because they clearly wanted to provide better and quicker service to two cars that came after me with really nice cars. I feel like such a Karen this is only my scone or third review ever in yelp in all my years using it. I feel stupid for paying and then leaving without reviewing then because this was months ago, now I'm at a different oil change business and the had to replace a small part that this employee is telling me whoever did my previous oil completely messed it up so they replaced it for free. From now on I'll be vocal about how people should not take their vehicles to JiffyLube. I have heard about a few bad experiences from friends but I thought it might be uncommon. I came here to have my brakes looked at and get an estimate for how much it would be to get them changed. The guy doesn't even take the time to even glance at them before he tells me 350$. When I said I had spoken to someone that week that gave me a MUCH cheaper price the guy cut me off and was totally rude. Then the rest of the workers came over and started telling me the same thing. Every single one of them was rude and they walked away while I was talking. Incredibly rude and disrespectful. I later went somewhere else where they did a full inspection of my car and I didn't even need brakes yet. Don't go here they'll be rude and try to screw you. read more

Andres is crazy trying to charge my daughter and I $100 for an oil change on a CRV ..... I've never even paid $40 at the dealer when I went there with my Honda Pilot. I'd say something else but i won't ..... We walked out. He was not pleasant at all, I don't know if it's because it's Sat and it was 4:45 around the time we walked in. He didn't even smile and didn't make eye contact at all. I will wait for Monday for our mechanic before my daughter heads back to college, he'll open up a little earlier to help us and get her on the road on time. I could have arrived on the wrong day, but that oil change felt like it was by the 3 Stooges. The computer system was down, which I understand can be frustrating, but does that mean you forget how to do all other aspects of your job? They open my car door without asking if that's cool. They just disappeared for 10 mins without saying anything. I had to go in and see what was happening and they were all hanging out behind the counter. "Oh we'll be right there boss". They were misplacing items "I handed that to you already!" "You did?" My favorite was Anthony asking Humberto "why can't I have a normal day?" as he was filling up my car with the incorrect oil. I'm thankful that he realized, emptied it, and filled it up with the correct oil(please lord I hope), but how would you feel if you were in an Uber and the driver said "oh we are going the wrong way I'll turn around now"? There are so many oil change places in TO. I would recommend you steer clear of this one unless you enjoy watching a comedy of errors. read more

This store needs to be audited and better managed. An absolute scam and everyone that works there is in on it. You go in for an oil change and walk out with a car that's falling apart and borderline inoperable. The store mgr should be ashamed of the way things are run here. Our year old Civic was taken in for an oil change only. We stressed that we did not want or need any additional services. They continued to push sales tactics and tried to get us to buy new filters/etc... we again declined all additional services. Finally, they come back in and tell us the battery is totally dead and the car won't start. Battery needs to be replaced. This is a new car with a new battery and everything was working perfectly before we came in. They decided to jump start the car and it shocked the computer system shutting down all services (maps/radio/etc). They insisted a new battery was needed and that the car couldn't be shut off or it wouldn't start again. Took the car straight to the dealer who confirmed the batter had 80% of life remaining and that Jiffy Lube was full of s**t. Absolutely ridiculous..... they should be shut down. Worst service and customer service ever Hello I went to this location on Friday I was told my coolant needs to be filled They forget to put all the screws on the plastic cover And broke the valve on the connection in the engine When I was driving I heard loud noise Went back, they were closed already I had to go to a mechanic shop in Newberry since oil change places close by 5 pm My plastic cover underneath the car was hanging down, partially broken since they did not put all the screws back The mechanic showed me the damage to this snd to the coolant hose valve. He fixed the plastic cover and said he had to order the whole hose to the coolant. Today I went back to the manager, only assistant manager was Available (Luis) He was incredibly rude and unprofessional and kept yelling at me Refused even to check the damages I went to the second location on TO On 2095 TO blvd Brandon the manager, is the best Was very professional, knowledgable and very polite He apologized even though they did nothing Went out of his way and fixed everything. I took my 2 year old (2016) Honda in for a routine oil change. I was told that several employees had "called out" so it was gonna be about 45 mins to complete. I told the guy that would be fine as my husband had drove separately, and I could just come back to pick it up. Fast forward to picking up the vehicle: My husband dropped me off and left. I arrived to see the technician standing at my vehicle with the hood up, saying my battery was DEAD and proceeded to tell me a new battery will be $132! First, my vehicle is only two years old. It has never had any problems starting. Why do I need a new battery???? Why are you even looking at the battery when I only purchased an oil change? I'm not too familiar with cars, so I called my husband to let him know what was going on and he suggested having them jump start my car so I can drive it home. The technician stated that they didn't have jumper cables to help me out. How does a car repair place have no jumper cables? At this point I asked my husband to come back and help me. Once he arrived, like magic, a pair of jumper cables was found, and miraculously my car had started again. It has been about 3 weeks since my oil change at JL and have had no problems starting my car whatsoever. So let this message serve as a warning: If you appear to be a car novice, or woman, you will be taken advantage of here. I've always heard bad things about Jiffy Lube oil changes - deceptive work, etc. But my experience this week was nothing but good. I was in a bind. I usually take my car to a dealership for maintenance but service takes 2-3 hours for a basic oil change. My car was well over its mileage for oil so I opted for Jiffy Lube. To Good: - The service was prompt and informative. If anything, I got too much information about factory recommendations, etc. I just needed an oil change! - Free refills. I can bring my car back to top off cleaning fluid or oil - free of charge. - The staff was incredibly friendly. The Bad: - The expense! Granted, I upgraded the oil used. But the oil change that usually costs $40 totalled nearly $90 at Jiffy Lube, even with the Yelp discount. Best of all, my car has been running exceptionally smoth ever since this service. I might go back to Jiffy Lube (expenses and all) just to get this same upgraded oil! read more

Terrible service experience combined with horrible customer service! I went in to Jiffy Lube for an oil change on my 2013 Volvo S60. I was told it would take 45 minutes even though there were only 2 cars in the service bay. The oil change took close to 2 hours and then the store manager Chris Marshall, tried to up sell me on transmission service, regular maintenance and windshield wipers- all of which I declined, as I told him at the start that I only wanted a synthetic oil change. To make matters worse, they could not figure out how to turn off the service warning message. Both a mechanic and Chris tried and failed. Chris resorted to looking the info up on Youtube and when that failed, resorted to calling the service department at Volvo, but could not get through. As it was very hot outside, I went back inside to the customer seating area to wait for them to find an answer so I could leave. After an additional 20-30 minutes and no status update I went back outside to check on my car only to find Chris working on another car. I threw up my hands and said "What's going on with my car?". He replied that he couldn't reset the warning message and didn't know what else to do so he started working on the next car in the shop. He NEVER came to tell me what was happening but let me sit inside and wait until I found him. He only offered an apology but no compensation or anything else. I can't believe no one in the shop knew how to reset a Volvo service reminder message. After being there nearly 3 hours, I drove home and looked up the info myself on youtube and solved the problem in 5 minutes or less. Needless to say I will NEVER use Jiffy Lube again! read more

I've used JL a few times. However, no more! In addition to highly overpriced oil changes, they manage to find several other " problems" with your car to up sell you on more costly work. I paid $74 for an oil change, $220 for just rear brakes, $66 for an air and cabin filter, $100 to change the brake fluid and $25 for tire rotation. While waiting for my car, I called the local Honda service department to compare the cost of service. They quoted $40 for an oil change, $300 for a complete brake job for ALL wheels and $22 for a cabin filter vs. $40 JL charged. It was too late to stop JL working on my car. Additionally, the manager had to replace the brakes because the other workers didn't know how to do it. On top of this, they didn't have the proper tools to do the brake job properly. Since I used to be a car mechanic, I watched the entire time the manager was doing the work. He used wire cutters to remove the brake shoe springs. WTF! I questioned him about this. He complained that he didn't have the proper tools. I also mentioned to him that I just called the local Honda dealer and that they quoted substantially less than what I was having to pay JL for service. He didn't believe what I was telling him. I told him I would be happy to call them back and he could listen to what they were quoting. He then asked if I wanted JL to stop the work on my car. Now that it was already in process, I said just finish it. To cut the manager some slack, he was a knowledgeable mechanic. However, it appears corporate doesn't provide adequate training or tools for the other non-oil change services they offer. I'll go to the dealer or Pep Boys for future service and not JL. The rear brakes that JL replaced as well as the "new" drums didn't last 3,000 miles. The drums were very cheap knockoffs and the brake shoes the same. Pep Boys said they couldn't salvage the drums due to minimal metal left on the piece of shit drums. Had to replace the drums and brake shoes. Forget JL and stick with the dealer or Pep Boys... read more

The tech told me Jiffy lube wasn't going to CARRY the blend anymore. I asked him if the location had run out of the blend. No, franchise wide, 33 locations, were no longer going to carry the 5-20 synthetic blend. I don't like the up sell. I REALLY don't like being lied to. He didn't open the hood. Show me the fluids, dip stick. They did not vacuum the floors. I asked as I walked out the door if they filled the fluids. He said "ya, and your tires". My tires are nitrogen. I'm pretty sure he didn't fill the tires. I don't like being lied to. Bummer for them, I have 5 work trucks to keep on the road. read more
