I am a 19 year old girl. This was my first time going in for an oil change by myself. I had previously gone to the jiffy lube on Erbes and Thousand Oaks Blvd and was told that my oil change would cost 134 dollars which was absurd for an oil change on a civic. After going to this Jiffy lube which is also on Thousand Oaks blvd, they gave me multiple options for oil changes as well as a discount upon informing them what happened at the other Jiffy Lube, so my total came out to around 67 dollars which is almost half then what the other place was. I was impressed and Jose and Sam were the two amazing men who helped me out. They made me feel comfortable and safe as a young girl who doesn't have much knowledge about cars. I took my car this morning and was provided a $69.99 estimate for a simple oil change on my 4 cylinder Subaru. Upon completion, I was presented with a bill for $136.21 which they explained included labor. I've taken other cars to several Jiffy Lubes in the past and never ever have been fooled like this. Came for an oil change and they added in tire rotation which was very convenient and quick. They also inspected my engine which I don't even think about in my daily life and found battery acid coming out of the battery they cleaned it off for me and gave me some suggestions to fix it. Although it's open from 7am to 7pm, this Jiffy Lube location gets busiest around the lunch hours (11am-2pm). Since I work in the area, that's when I tend to pop in and out. Mind you -- even at its busiest, I've only ever spent an hour and 15 minutes here. All things considered, that's not bad. No appointment necessary (or allowed, for that matter) so it's first come, first served. Usually, I'm here for an oil change -- synthetic, because that's what my poor car deserves. They do check some of your other parts -- air filters, brake pads, etc -- and will try to sell you on replacement pieces. I've seen most people turn them down, myself included, but it's nice to know that you can come to Jiffy Lube for small stuff like that and avoid visiting the dealership or trying to find your own mechanic. The employees here are friendly and don't get wholly offended when you say no. I once went to my dealership and they ran every test possible to see what kind of condition my car was in. The bill for the proposed services was absolutely astronomical and insane, and the dealership said they were too busy to do most of the services that week. I instead took the itemized sheet to Jiffy Lube and they did all of the work for a fraction of the price. I asked them if they could beat the price or match it, and they ended up beating every price. They worked on everything right then and there. And in an hour, since it was slow. Amazing. I've had my tires rotated, my air filters changed, my oil filters replaced and my battery tested. Every time, they also wipe down my windows and vacuum my floors. It's the little things, really. During today's trip, I needed my brake light replaced in addition to an oil change. A synthetic oil change and some new pieces run about $90. The brake light was $5.99. I always look online for coupons, which knock about $15-$20 off my total. Jiffy Lube offers coupons for oil changes, as well as coupons for other services. Pay with cash or card. I've been pretty pleased with my handful of experiences up until today, and I will absolutely continue to visit this Jiffy Lube location for my future needs. read more

I received a coupon from Jiffy Lube, so I decided to take my car in for brake fluid change and radiator flush. When I got there they refused to honor the coupon. They said I had to have an oil change to use the coupon. I looked and the coupon said nothing about having to be used in conjunction with an oil change. Anthonie took my car in for a visual inspection for free and even threw in extra inspection/advice that wasn't supposed to be included. Their rates here are very fair and they hooked it up with great service. I've gone to multiple car service locations including the other big competitive brands such as pep boys, Firestone, etc. and these guys can't be beat in terms of service, personability, and attentiveness. If something is found on inspection that needs to be replaced they will actually show you the problem instead of just telling you. I had 4 tires extremely low on air and it was 5:40p. I called this location and they said to bring it in "now" before they close. When I got there, they were ready to help. They refilled my tires immediately, and even replaced my missing tire caps. They also checked if there were any nails in the tire. A+ attention and quality. They helped me out in a pinch! I sent my son after i called to make sure he can bring his dually in that is registered in his name to get oil change and fuel filter changed. They said come on it and then they called me to make sure it was okay and i gave permission due to liability which i completely understand. Then they get my son to call me to ask what oil to put in my truckhorrible customer service. We left they cannot communicate and now doubtful that they even know what oil to put in a diesel. Then the young man came back and said "sorry boss the oil rigs are full. Nothing we can do for about 45 minutes.". Let me start by saying, as I attempted to pull in I was met by an older gentleman who was glaring at me and giving me dirty looks. He looked annoyed and angry. Not the best customer service to start that's for sure! Then as I pulled in they asked me to get out of my car and wait in the lobby. I did. I didn't like how I was glared at so I decided to go to Yelp to see their reviews. Wow, seeing pictures of a worker/service man flipping people off??! I brought this to the guys attention and he just said "that guy was an asshole, it's illegal to take pictures of people" really?? That's your response???? And.. then" we come here to work and I don't care if people are assholes they get what they deserve". How about customer service? I was not impressed at all. Then he proceeded to tell me it will be $204 for an oil change! What?? But praise God, a light at the end of this dark tunnel. He came back and said "your mustang needs a plastic plug and we don't have those. So we won't be able to do an oil change". I was like "thank God". I told him I was not impressed and left to across the street to Valvoline. They were professional, met me with a smile and only charged me $122. Hmmm... I don't think this place will stay in business long with these guys working here. Jiffy lube... you should not endorse these rude men! Very thoroughly done, they even cleaned the windshield and checked all oils and tires. It was only $32.48 for conventional. The only compliant was after they were done they gave me weird directions to get out, they used unclear hand signals and didn't tell me what was going on, should've just told me to back up straight or parallel and to let them other car go in, it was awkward and confusing. 4 stars due to confusing directions at the end. They said "don't look around behind you" and gave confusing directions with their hands but if I didn't look I could've hit a parked car, so they really need to work on that. But their oil service was a great price, great deal. If you want the special, you just have to ask them for it in advance before getting service and make sure to be very clear that you want the special and they will have to see if it's compatible with your vehicle. read more

Went in this morning for a Lyft inspection. I called and they said they do them. I'm out here in TO and it wasn't worth the drlve to LA Lyft hub for a free one. I pulled up and they were busy as expected. A lot of people are doing lots more driving now that the state has fully opened. I was happy to wait had about 2 cars in front of me. Brandon the manager checks me in and says since I had to wait my inspection is FREE today! He also said since it was only an inspection he would do it himself right away. Credit due where it is earned... I went in for another service for our Company Fleet vehicle. They love us because we have a "set" unlimited account - well we stick to scheduled maintenance. So - I am remarking on how todays' visit stacks up against the competition - which includes the likes of Firestones and other Jiffy Lubes which we've visited around SoCal and more so in our home town region. As such todays' visit was 1st rate professional. We got our oil changed, tires rotated, air filter and windshield wipers changed - plus their rep came in explain what they were doing before they engaged in the service reviewing what and why they were doing such and such. Courteous, professional and fast. They got it done in a "JIFFY".... Other places take longer - and other garages and Jiffy Lube locations fall short or SCREWED IT UP? Seriously? Yes - even simple service issues had been messed up elsewhere - and in our decades with a company car we have been everywhere local - and many places afar - so we know excellent service when we see it. 4 stars were awarded today because 5 stars will come after I see a few re-visits with identical service like todays'.... On Wednesday (12/26/18) I decided at the last minute to drive up to San Jose to visit family. The car was due for it's 30,000 mile checkup but since I couldn't get in to the dealer I took my 2016 Honda Civic to Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed. I think most folks are aware that Jiffy Lube will try to up-sell for filter changes and the like, and I was prepared for that nonsense. What I wasn't prepared for was that they actually DISCONNECTED MY CAR BATTERY so that they could try to up-sell a new one. The technician showed me the report printout showing that the battery was 0%. I knew it was a scam and declined. When I drove my car off the lot, the computer system was no longer functioning properly - no GPS, no radio, no Bluetooth, and all of the programmed warning lights started cycling through repeatedly. Of course this was the result of the loss of power to the vehicle when they tampered with the battery. I immediately drove to the dealer and they were able to run a quick battery check. Of course, the battery was perfectly fine. NO issues. The dealer entered the system code to get things working properly again. Trying to trick people to replace a cabin filter is bad enough, but actually tampering with a vehicle is illegal. I urge you all to take your business elsewhere. I wouldn't trust this place to even clean the windshield let alone have access to anything under the hood. BBB notified. read more

"Too busy for customers" That's what I was told when I asked for clarity as to why I had to wait more than 1/2 hour just to check my car in. Before that sweet affirmation that this location has no clue as to who pays their overhead, in a feable attempt to up-sell me, I was told they did not know what oil was used at my last jiffy lube oil change. Basic customer service skills should be part of any company's training and at least this Jiffy Lube obviously has none. This is a disappointing 2nd bad experience. The last time I was here I had a similar experience but did not post because I know that stuff happens and I only post negative reviews when it appears to be a company problem...as opposed to a staff member problem. When patterns become apparent whether positive or negative, they're caused by poor management and short sided policies. Such is the case here. In this competitive marketplace, I suggest Jiffy Lube step up their game and invest in training and policy review. read more
