I know a little about automotive stuff, I took 2 years of automotive, enough to get my smog check certification, and when i went here they told me the minimum oil that met my dealers specs was a synthetic blend. I was a bit surprised as the only cars I had encountered that on was Porsche. I didn't argue and went with it. when I got home I checked ( this actually took way more research then it should including checking if Jiffy lubes base oil met the API SN and ILSAC GF-5 requirements of ford's specs) to make a long story short conventional motor oil is just fine to use in my car. Just got my oil change here. Was told the wait would be over an hour but they were done in 30 minutes at most. Very professional and helpful techs. They even vacuumed out my van which is something I hate doing! Very happy with the whole experience and will be bringing them more business. read more

I just left Jiffy Lube getting my oil changed and looking at a couple of other things and the service was fantastic. For some reason I didn't have an oil cap on my car and they ordered one and it was there within 10 minutes at no charge to me because they were the last to service my car. The young woman was so sweet to me and gave me an even better coupon that I had brought in. I haven't felt that great about a car service in a very long time and I will definitely be going back in 3000 miles! read more

My first time at this facility, usually someone else in the family handles this task. Cannot say enough positive things about the men I encountered working here. James was incredibly pleasant and courteous. He greeted me quickly, offered all the amenities of the waiting room, explained the process, and opened my car door when my service was completed! CJ was very professional, efficient, and helpful as well offering additional services without a hard upsell, and treated each client respectfully. Pull up behind a car currently being serviced (as instructed by them), they later move my car behind another, then the car that was being worked on that I originally parked behind was finished and they let someone who came after me proceed to be worked on while I had to wait for the new car my car was parked behind to be finished and still no service after waiting a total 40 minutes so I decided to leave. Bad management of workflow. They need an onsite ops manager to manage the process better. read more

I was a coupon customer at Jiffy Lube for a while, not any more!! This time they try to rip me off big time and I ran for my money and never to return in the future!! "Your GM vehicle needs special oil, so your $24.95 coupon is worthless here" stated the lube guy pulling the computer screen on my face! The cheapest oil change for your car is $59.95. Strange, why did they not find this fact last time they changed the oil in my 2004 Chevy Malibu? I had a good experience with these guys (and gals!) today. Everyone was professional, working efficiently and as a team. They create a comfortable environment and appear to be doing honest business. They offered things that could be replaced but didn't hard sell like other places might. I had a uniquely great experience at this Jiffy Lube today. Things were running a bit long on my oil change (not their fault), and the manager, Justice, plus all of the technicians went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done right, and that we were happy and taken care of. Was told if we went to different Jiffy Lube the warranty on the part they replaced would be no good, I called the one in Benicia and they said that wasn't true, they honor the warranty. I've been sitting for two hours, with my disability...missing my doctors appointment because they went to lunch an hour after I got here. The other Jiffy Lube said they never leave a vehicle standing alone, they rotate their techs. All I wanted was consideration to say we are going lunch it's going to be awhile so I could change my appointment and eat something myself, and when I asked how long lunch was for their techs I was told 30-60 min depending on how long they decide to take. I'm really angry and In physical pain from sitting too long (can't stand more than 20 min either). If they would have kept me updated I could have taken a Taxi to my appointment. read more

Its okay place to get your oil changed, i wont take my vehicle here if its anything major..their service is pretty fast..customer service is so so...what gets me is that they are always trying to upsell stuff that i really dont need..sometimes the restroom is out of order and sometimes their complementary coffee machine is broken down..i check my car before i leave there just to be on the safe side,dont just take their word for it! read more

I wouldn't be coming back to this JL. When I arrived, I was 4 in line for an oil change and tire rotation. I thought it was going to be a short wait. My car started to get serviced about 15 mins after I arrived. After 45 mind, my car was still at service. Turned out that after draining the oil, they realized they did not have the filter. It too about two hours to get a filter. Almost 3 hours later, they gave my car back. Granted, they waived the cost of the rotation, but chsrme an extra oil quart. Somehow a 1.8 litter car took 5 quarts of oil. On top of that, I had to refill the oil after a week, because they left the oil pan bolt loose. Never again. read more

Took my car for an oil change today and was very pleased with the service I got from this Jiffy Lube branch. I think I'd be bringing my car here regularly now. I normally go to Speedee on Redwood and Tuolumne Sts. but it is so out of my way that I thought I'd try somewhere else. I tried PepBoys by CostCo... that was big mistake. Won't ever go back to that place again. So anyways, I thought I'd drop off my car at Jiffy Lube and then work out at 24Hour Fitness. But decided to stay since this is the first time I am taking my car to this service center. I want to be available if they have questions. It was sweltering hot in Vallejo today but I am so happy the waiting room is fully airconditioned. The guy who gave me the first estimate was very polite and professional. I didn't feel pressured to get anything I did not want. About five minutes later, James, the mechanic working on my car asked me to go into the service area to show me how discolored my transmission fluid was. The person who gave me the initial estimate did ask me if the transmission fluid has ever been flushed. I didn't have any recollection of it being done before but I declined. The mechanic, when he called me to show me the transmission fluid, explained a little bit more. So I decided to have the transmission flushed and changed as well. The work was done in no time at all. Maximum wait... maybe about half an hour. Not bad. As I paid, James, the mechanic gave me an additional 15% discount, which I was happy about. Then he asked me if there is anything else. I did mention that my service engine light was on. He mentioned he did notice it and asked me if it has ever been tested. When I said no, he offered to test it for me for free. I was glad to hear that too. PepBoys was going to charge me $55 to test. Speedy was asking for $100. James tested for free, gave me the codes and suggestions on what my next step would be. All in all I received polite, professional service and a price I can afford. read more

this is the most laziest store i have ever seen. i have been sitting in my car with an open lot for about 15 mins. they see me but absolutely no customer service. they slow as hell. all they do is talk and don't work. they don't care about the business. the service in vallejo sucks. i say quit if you don't wanna work there and put people who wanna work. so customers don't have to spend their entire day there. it's poorly managed and i will go to the Benicia store for now on. their employees wanna work. these lazy fools are ruining the name. you need to fire all of them and get a better crew. read more

Fast, great customer service, good value. Came on a Friday afternoon after visiting A1 Smog, who recommended this location. Greeted immediately and guided into bay. I like that they check fluid levels. Got premium oil, not synthetic , for hi mileage car. Appreciate that they have something in between standard and synthetic. Pennzoil is a trusted brand. Waiting area has a/c bathroom and coffee. Mechanic was available to speak to about minor leaks. Will go back for next oil change. read more

Employees were very helpful and got me in and out fast. I don't know very much (if anything) about cars, except how to drive one. Lamont and the other employees were glad to explain anything I didn't understand, showed me my air filters and how often I should clean them, the different services they provide, and more. When they showed me how grimy my cabin air filter was, they told me they could replace it right then and there. They were even kind enough to give me a large discount because it was an unexpected purchase (I had just come for an oil change). Seeing the bad reviews, I was doubtful of their quality, but my great experience there prompted me to get on here and leave a review. Great experience for a first time getting an oil change. I will never NEVER NEVER return here. They almost ruined my car engine because the oil spilled out and a few days later my oil light came in. Turns out they never tightened the lid and oil was spilled all over my engine. When i called they never apologize and blamed the employee. I had to go to another location just get it corrected. read more

do not go here! 3 weeks ago i went there for a free oil change due to bad service from a previous visit. last night my oil pressure light came on and i found no oil in the engine! i put some in and it all leaked out! i took it to a dealer and found the gasket on the oil filter was blown and now i need a new engine! bad customer service! words cannot explain how i feel right now!!!!! im surprised they are still in business!!!!! read more

Went here with mom to make sure they did their job. I used to work at a jiffy lube but I don't know how this store runs things. I know for a fact that our vehicle's chassis is not sealed, they just said it was and didn't add lube. They tightened the oil filter with a tool so it's already scratched. Didn't clean the oil around the pan. We used to sign the oil filters but maybe they don't do that anymore. No tamper-seal on drain plug. Also didn't reset oil light, an easy 5 gas pedals, takes 10 seconds. Left streaks on the windows. Didn't wash all windows read more

Make sure you find out price of oil change before they touch your car. They post $38. Then tell you that you have to have synthetic oil even if you don't. This oil is $79. They drain yours right away, while your stuck inside with salesman trying to sell you a bunch of other stuff. read more

Coupon SCAM!!!! There is only 1 Jiffy lube in Vallejo. In the Vallejo weekly flyers we got a Jiffy lube coupon for a $24 oil change. Too good to be true? Yup, it was. I was forced to wait 1/2 hour (I could have popped 5 Jiffy popcorns in that time) for the ONE person ahead of me to clear before I presented the mailer coupon. Upon presenting the coupon the heavily-tattooed, social reject behind the counter said he did not recognize the coupon (the same coupon the previous customer used) and did not know if it was accepted, or not. I told him to check if it was accepted. He said "I cannot check because we have not serviced your car". Yeah, just how stupid are your customers? I told him I would not get an oil change until I knew the price. Miraculously, he was able to check the coupon, upon which time he tried to upgrade me to synthetic oil(at 2x the price), because supposedly my car manufacturer recommended that (only at jiffy lube, I checked the manual and they don't) , so I refused the upgrade. At this time he stated that the coupon was not accepted. at this time I refused service, because I can get an oil change almost anywhere for $10 cheaper in Vallejo. He felt offended and immediately ran off. So, typically, I never use Jiffy lube, and kind of expected this treatment. But the treatment was soooo bad that I wondered if this group of criminals was a band of border crossers that stole a Jiffy lube sign, and uniforms, and decided to open their own coupon scam business in america. Don't worry, I'm sure they won't be in business long. I'm sure the DEA or NIS will raid their shop before long. read more

If I didn't have to give a star, then I would not have given one to this Jiffy Lube (but I wanted to rate them). I visited this location so I could have my vehicle inspected by Uber. It turns out I needed a new stop light bulb. While I was working with the Uber reps., I saw a mechanic go into my front passenger door. I thought he had to get some car information from inside the car in order to pick the correct bulb. As my vehicle was being pulled into the bay, the same mechanic asked another mechanic to finish the bulb replacement. Odd - I know. I had left my new LG tablet and case with blue tooth keyboard on the front passenger seat. After the bulb was replaced I went home. That afternoon I got my tablet out and and tried to fold the case open. It was broken, someone tried to ripe the tablet from the case and striped several of the screws and broke the plastic hinges that held the keyboard next to the tablet. SHAME, SHAME on you Jiffy Lube for not reaching out to me after I responded to your online customer survey and reported the damage in person. I will never go back to your establishment. To all customers visiting this etsblishment, keep your eye on your possessions and check to make sure they are still in your vehicle and not damaged before you leave their business. Lori B read more

Wow this place treats their customers like garbage. They assume that everyone is stupid, It's a good thing that I'm not or my truck motor would be garbage right now! Their mechanic overfilled my truck with oil. He said he put in 12 1/2 quarts I told him he better not have because it only takes 10. There's a bit of a confusion because the mechanic thought there was 5 quarts in a gallon not 4 LOL. They told me that my tire pressure was 50 in all of my tires. I asked them if they added any air? the assistant manager who is ringing me up yelled out to the bay and they said that they did not even check the tire pressure. I just had new tires put on and knew they were lying about the tire pressure. I expressed my frustration about that and told him that I did not feel that it was honest to say you done something if you had not.he was nice and agreed with me and gave me a $5 discount to say sorry. I thought that was a nice gesture. I paid and went out and checked oil in my truck and it was overfilled. I went ahead and got the assistant manager and he came out and checked it and told me "it's supposed to be full". I showed him that if you did not put the dipstick all the way and leaving it out in a half an inch it still read full, then he agreed with me that they overfilled it and that they could drain some oil. They also got oil on the carpet in my truck. He told me to pull back around and they were drain some of the oil. Upon getting into the bay we found out that they did not even put in the oil that I purchased. They put in a completely different type, And they put in an extra 2 quarts. I contacted the franchise owner office and The receptionist took a message and said someone would call me back within 48 hours. 48 hours later I contacted them again because they still had not contacted me. I even got a call back from somebody that offered me a free oil change.I wanted them to clean the oil off my carpet. They told me that they would pay for a can of carpet cleaning scrub from an auto parts store if I wanted to clean it. They also said they would send me a refund check for the oil change. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and still have not seen a check. It's a good thing I checked my oil before I left. With the resistance they're giving me on having my carpet cleaned I can only imagine what it would be like if they had to do real motor work. I don't live by this Jiffy Lube and I will never go back. I just want the oil out of my carpet and I'm going to leave that to the pros. read more
