I took my car in on May 3rd for an oil change. When I arrived Juan helped me. I explained I was just there for an oil change. I was very shocked that he did not even try to up sell me anything else. I did notice that Jiffy Lube does other services like belts etc. I asked him if they could look at the Serpentine belt to make sure it ok. They did and told me it's fine you font need it replaced. On 3/23/20 I attempted to schedule an oil change for my Dodge Ram 2500. Oil change was quoted at $44, upon arriving they did not have the oil needed for my truck (10-30SAE). They offered to change to synthetic for an additional $40, I declined. They then told me I could purchase my own oil and they would rebate me the cost of the change. I went and purchaded the oil for $23 and returned to the shop. They then informed me they would only discount the oil change for $2, I declined the offer and left to do it myself. I find that an insulting discount when I both had an appointment (they knew the oil I required) and had to provide my own oil! I have been to this location previously for service but after this experience I would not deal with them again. read more

The owner/manager needs to address the total lack of enthusiasm of the employees and encourage a bit of interest in the customer coming in for service. Valvoline may be a bit more expensive, but their service and attitude far outweigh the added expense. Courtesy, and interest go a long way read more

I wanted to update my review from years ago because I was so disappointed by the handling of this by the owner. After my review an owner of this jiffy lube (and others) called me and basically said he was handling the situation internally and that he wanted to make things right. He offered me my next oil change for free. Whatever. At this point I'm just hesitant of using jiffy lube but ok thanks. 6 months later I go to take my car in for an oil change and they said they had no record of me getting a free one. Great guys. I went in on July 9th around noon and explain to them that I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube in Northridge, but there was a lot leaking. So I asked these guys to check it out and make sure everything was good. They didn't hesitate at all. They were very friendly even though they looked somewhat busy. They had no problem checking it out... even took videos of underneath so I can see where the leak was coming from. Thanks guys for looking at it and not charging me. I looked Jiffy Lube up on Yelp and noticed that they were offering a Memorial Day weekend special that included a standard oil change, plus detailed vehicle inspection for a total of $20.00, half off the normal charge. It seemed like a great deal, so I went for it. Bottom line: this shop is clean, the staff is courteous & professional, and the price was right, so I give them a "Yay! I'm a fan" rating. read more

It seems that my experience is not unique after doing some You Tube review. Seems that Jiffy Lube is a little less than ethical and seems hell bent on the UP SELL when thy have you there. My day began with full knowledge that I was a little overdue for an oil change. As I was greeted by a man at the entrance...I told him I did not want to be sold any other services other than an oil change. He acknowledged me. Next was the check in where I was told of all the things that were available to me. I politely told him I was not interested and that I had a VERY good friend who does my mechanic work on my Tacoma and my wife's Toyota Rav. Lowell has been doing work on our vehicles for at least 15 years. Then came the check out.....He tried to sell me a transmission serv ice, new air cleaners (2) and new wipers. I once again told him I was not interested. Paid my bill and he escorted me to my vehicle to once again try to sell me on his services. I finally told him I was quite fed up with the constant up sell tactics. As a result of all this I told him I would be leaving and not coming back....that was it and I went to the oil change down a few blocks on Thompson and began a relationship with the new lube place. I have been a loyal customer ever since they opened the doors and this will end our relationship. I do not recommend the Ventura Jiffy Lube to anyone as a result of what happened today. read more

(Check-In: FREE coffee (and water)) My name is called and I'm ushered to the "the back" to "register" with Jiffy Lube into their computer system, I answer all their questions about myself and MY car - the guy was so surprised I knew all my car information (doesn't everyone know if they drive a 4 or 6 cylinder??) that he proceeded to tell me "most girls don't know that" after each answer...weird, but took it as a complement. Car gets serviced, man comes back with all my fluids on a piece of paper and what "normal fluids" should look like - basically telling me that I needed to replace ALL of them. I then asked him, doesn't each of those fluids become discolored one they run through your engine, etc. one time (especially if you live on a dirt road...), "well, yes, but...," I didn't give him time to finish his sentence, said thank you for the servicing I needed and handed my card over. Really? After answering all the questions about my own car correct you still think you can get me to hand over extra money to you for services not needed...you gotta be kidding me... Get in the car, checked the everything had been completed then realized the little window reminder sticker they gave me read I needed it serviced again in only 400 miles...what the? Needless to say, not going back...stop trying to rip-off us girls who know what we are doing, makes me feel for the people who just say yes to everything because they don't know enough... read more

So today was literally the longest day of my life. I needed to get the car smogged and registration taken care of, and I hadn't been to get my oil changed in awhile so thought it would be best to stop at Jiffy Lube to get my car serviced. Chris helped me from start to end, they were apparently short staffed today, a couple co-workers had called out sick and so there were only 4 people ALL DAY... So even though he was running around like a crazy person, he was courteous and friendly and ladies he is soooooooo good looking, sadly for single me, he's happily married. (sigh) In any case, he kept a cool composure and even though my wait time was over an hour, there were quite a few people ahead of me in line, the complimentary coffee kept me happy as did the fact I could change the channel on the TV in the air conditioned waiting room. I would gladly return, the professionalism is without parallel and even in stressful situations, the staff sails through it with grace. Drove up and a technician immediately ran out and took my keys and rolled my car into their shop. That was the only thing "jiffy" about this process. He said there would be someone to take my info in the waiting area. Walked in to a room full of bored people who looked like they had been sitting around for a while. I looked behind the counter and there was no one there. I immediately started to regret my decision to come here. I waited around for about 20 minutes then went back to the technician who took my keys and asked him what the deal was, and he said that someone would be there in just a few minutes. Another 15 go by and someone who works there finally comes out. I get excited, they're finally going to take my information so my oil change can start. Unfortunately, I got my hopes up for no reason. The guy called out someone's name and one of the other customer's eyes came to life. As it turns out, I wasn't the only one waiting for info to be taken. There were several of us, and I was last in line. Great. Another 20 minutes later and it is finally my turn. The guy asks what oil change interval I want to set, and I tell him what my manufacturer recommends: 10,000 miles. He then proceeds to lecture me telling me that the 10,000 mile interval is only for people running full synthetic, which is totally false. The manual does not state that anywhere. I tell him to put 10,000. He refuses and won't proceed with the process until I agree to put it at 5,000. Awesome. He then tells me it is going to be an hour. Resigned to my fate I sit back down. I had just waited almost an hour just to be logged into JiffyLube's system, but, hey, I got a free lecture out of it. Long story short, I ended up waiting almost an hour and forty five minutes from the time they took my information to the time I got my keys back. It took a grand total of 2 hours 40 minutes to get my oil changed. I know of two other places in town that will do the same job in under 20 minutes. Sure you pay more at those places, but they don't have you waiting in limbo for almost and hour, don't lecture you about your own vehicle, and give accurate estimates for how long the job will take. You get what you pay for people, take your business elsewhere. read more

I brought my car here (2011 Honda Pilot) on Sunday and had a very nice experience. I needed my oil changed and tires rotated. They showed me my filters and recommended I change them and looked at my records to see what else might be due. I had recently moved and they updated my information on their computer. Before I left the house, I had printed out some coupons and I used both of them. I thought the overall service was maybe a little pricey, but I can't immediately verify that with a comparison to anywhere else. Even after the coupons, I paid around $180 for oil change, filter changes, tire rotation, fluid check, and other checks they performed in the course of my service. I did like how they put protective covers on the floor, seat, and steering wheel, washed my exterior windows and vacuumed the floor. They went over all the services with me, and reviewed what had been done with me at my car, even verifying that my service light was no longer on once I started my car to drive away. They topped off my positive experience with an air freshener to hang from the rear view mirror. The only thing that would make it over-the-top glamorous in terms of a car maintenance experience would be sodas or water and a popcorn machine or donuts like some car dealers have in their waiting areas (there was coffee available but I don't drink coffee). As far as the service and work on my car--no complaints. Everyone seemed friendly and efficient and I would definitely recommend this as a good place to get basic car maintenance performed in Ventura. read more

I normally go to jiffy lube for oil changes because they're efficient and usually very painless to bring my car in. My car is a 2001 Camry and she has been used. I'm missing a drivers side door handle, my car seat (power motion) was stuck all the way forward, I have a dangling piece of plastic near the front bumper and sometimes my car just decides she doesn't want to turn over and makes an abrasive grinding sound. I'm embarrassed a bit by her condition but love the car nonetheless. When I pulled into this jiffy lube I was lowkey like okay all these employees are attractive. I mentioned to them my issues with my car and they seemed so not phased by them to a point where it felt apathetic/ made me feel like an idiot but like in a good way. At the end of the service they were all so kind and caring and they managed to fix my drivers side seat which like I said had been stuck all the way forward. I'm so stoked on their service I'm coming back and I live in Santa Barbara! One of the technicians was so sweet and chatting with me about how he has experienced similar issues with an older Camry in the past too and it made me feel less ashamed lol. Thanks guys!!
