The Huntsville location deserves all of the flowers, but the Madison location is a bit subpar in comparison. We did takeout so I can't comment on dining in, but it's your standard drive through experience. The staff, I will note, are EXTREMELY nice and personable. The food, however, just wasn't as good as the other location. The pork was overly fatty, the chicken gristly, and the sides were cold (when they weren't intended to be). I'm not opposed to going here again, but given that the HSV location is around the corner it's going to take some work. For a quick BBQ meal coming from a chain, however, this is a solid bet. read more

Pretty good experience at Jim n Nick's. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and the restaurant was actually bare. There weren't any customers, which was a plus for me... lol no lines. I ended up ordering the catfish plate with mac n cheese and collard greens. The food was delicious as usual. It was cooked to order and was very tasty. I did notice that the catfish filets were smaller than usual, which was a little disappointing, especially when the food is priced fairly high. I also ordered a garden salad. For the price, it was a little skimpy, but nonetheless, it was good. Luckily, the meal automatically comes with their famous buttery biscuits. I could eat a whole pack of those! The service was great and even though the restaurant was empty, it was very clean. They also have a nice big tv in the seating area... great for sports! read more

When we visit Alabama, we always try to stop at Jim 'n Nick's. This was our first time at this location in Madison. We ordered online for takeout. The service was much faster than I expected, and our food was a perfect temp. There was a small mixup with our order, but the manager, Chris, took care of us. The cheddar biscuits-my absolute fave, were DELISH! We also ordered a Not So Naked Spud, Pork Spud, and Lil's Pork sandwhich. The potatoes were good with a good portion of fixin's on them. The Pork spud was really big and had a large helping of pork on it-perfect! The kids enjoyed their pork sandwich, as well. We only stepped inside the store to get our order, but it looked clean, open, and cozy. We will be back to dine-in with the family! read more

When a certain type of blinding migraine is coming on, when the hallucinatory lights are flashing, I get the loaded Mac and cheese with pulled pork. The rich cheesy goodness calms the dragon roaring in my head down in fact it shuts up and gives me peace. I opt for a side of beans. Now you don't need to have any excuse for this tasty indulgence. This is a favorite gathering spot for my son and me. It's very consistent--the food is always excellent, and so is the service. Their prices are reasonable, and they offer a much-appreciated veteran's discount. My absolute favorite here is their turkey. This is my first visit to this new JNN. It is much smaller inside than it looks on the outside and different from the University Drive JNN. There is no table service as you order at the counter. A really good BBQ place. I'd go here over luciels any day. I got the 3 meat plate and my wife got the nachos with pulled pork. We shared both. The brisket was good but not amazing. I visited this restaurant yesterday 12/13/26 early afternoon. The collard greens were amazing, the Mac - cheese was ok and the brisket was really good. My friend's spare ribs were good. The manager Lex was amazing, my order was missing our collard greens and 2 extra bbq sauces. Lex really made up for the mistake. Thank you Lex, with service like that, it will keep people coming back. A lot of the crew seemed new and were in training, it's going to take patience to learn a new job, we as people must have more empathy for customer service employees. This Clift Farms location opened on 6/6/2023 right now they are only serving beer but will have the full bar opened in a week. We ordered the three meat combo, it comes with two sides. We chose pulled pork, bbq ribs and the brisket. Our sides were potato salad and baked beans. The ribs and brisket were delicious! The pulled pork was good as well. Service from True was 100%! The only thing we didn't understand is why the up charge for the ribs and brisket when you really can only choose from: Chicken, pulled pork, ribs or brisket for the combo. Just charge more for the combo if you have to have two servings of something because then it really isn't a combo. Great location and everything was nice and clean. Check them out! read more

My partner and I came to place for a takeout to take back to her family. We ordered over the phone and picked it up at the site. The food was absolutely delicious! Definitely one of the best barbecue places I've ever been to. The spare ribs were amazing as was the briskets. The cheese biscuit really complimented everything we ordered and balanced out the heavier sauces I really liked the interior and atmosphere. The tile work and ceiling feet sleek but comfortable. It's a shame I wasn't able to sit in to really take it all in but from my time going in to pick up the food, the ambiance was well balanced. A wonderful and needed addition to Madison! The food was absolutely delicious, with the signature JNN taste you'd expect. The staff members were friendly and attentive, making sure we felt welcome and satisfied. We received our food quickly after ordering and everything was hot and fresh. The Carolina-style pulled pork, half chicken, fries, mac and cheese, and watermelon were all phenomenal. Their smoked wings with the Morgan Co. white sauce is also a must have! Their new restaurant design has a nice, modern feel for an excellent dining experience with great ambiance. However, we were a bit surprised to discover that this new location has adopted a fast-casual setup instead of their traditional table service locations across Alabama. Their new ordering system was very efficient, and they even offer online ordering from your table if you'd like to skip the line at the counter. Despite the elimination of full table service at this new location, their payment system defaulted to a 20% tip, which was a bit surprising and unnerving. One other thing that caught us off guard was the change in policy at this location regarding their famous cheese biscuits. Unlike other locations with table service, they no longer provide complimentary baskets of their signature biscuits, but rather, provide two with each entree and otherwise charge $5.99/dozen. Overall Jim 'N Nick's is the best BBQ in Madison and remains worthwhile. We'll frequent this location for their speed and convenience with their fast-casual setup (and their double drive-thru). However, we probably still prefer the Huntsville location with table service, simply because you get more bang for your buck with their complimentary biscuits and with Madison's apparent tipping expectation despite being a fast-casual operation. The quality of their food, the friendly staff, and the modern facilities make it a solid option in Madison! read more

Im an Alabama boy who lives in Las Vegas so I eat some of the best food in the world on weekly basis. I gotta say after leaving Huntsville a while ago when there wasn't very many options for food it's good to see this place getting more food options even if it is BBQ which is everywhere in the south. The food here is great, service is good. I orders the smoked wings. Perfectly smoked and sauced, the cheddar sausage definitely a highlight. The cheddar biscuit is one of the best I've ever had including my mother's. Come here and eat, you won't be disappointed! read more

Went in Friday Feb. 23 rd and ate inside. Noticed the loaded baked potatoes with pork wasn't near as good as the 2 previous times I've been in and had it. Dried out, skimped on the toppings etc. but didn't complain. Got a big order to go a full rack of Baby back ribs and a whole Chicken. I specifically asked the waitress ," do y'all have any baby back ribs left" and she said ," yes". When I got home I had spare ribs and not only that , they were completely dried out and Most every piece was like jerky on the ends. You could tell they have been cooked and had sat out a LONGGGG time! I was so disappointed because I had gotten a whole rack. Not only that I had 2 little bread muffins in there , No white sauce and NO barbecue sauce. And with an order that big, I only got a SINGLE size serving of coleslaw and one ear of corn. I came in between 8:00 and 9:00 pm but the customers who come in later in the day should NOT have to put up with dried out food that's been sitting too long. C'mon y'all can do soooo much better and we are regular customers too!! read more

I ordered my food off the website around 345pm. The site said it would be ready at 411pm. I pulled up at 415 thinking my food was going to be ready but no still sitting here at 430. I have seen multiple cars pull in drive thru, order food, get food, and leave. I see a lot of people walking around but no movement toward door. You have to do better. The worst ribs I've ever had. Amazingly tough. The biscuits were the only decent part of the meal.

The food was good, but the "service" is out of control. Too many people being too friendly. Seriously, this isn't Disneyland, everybody calm down. Act normal, please. You can't relax and enjoy your meal when everybody, everywhere, is asking how you're doing, jumping to open the door for you, smiling way too much. I don't know what the pre-shift meetings are like, but these people are on edge. Let the food speak for itself (it does) and be polite and attentive. Enough with the dog and pony show. read more

Service was awesome ! We got there at 5:30 pm and they said it was a 2 hour wait for pulled pork‍isn't 5:30 dinner time ? We ordered 1/2 slab ribs and beef brisket, Mac n cheese, coleslaw & baked beans. Restaurants always give you two side choices and act like they are doing you a favor when they show up with two little small dishes with sides in it. The sides look big in the picture but trust me, they weren't. The beef brisket was lean and flavorful. It could have used another piece or two, the baby back ribs were good, a little fatty but not fall off the bone. The sauce I was told was barbecue sauce, but it had a vinegar taste to it. After we got the check, I told the server the ribs were a little fatty and he said if I had told him sooner, he would have taken some money off the bill, but I hadn't paid the bill yet so why??? they have a few locations, but won't go back, wasn't worth the money. read more
