Phenomenal experience at Jim n Nick's BBQ! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The complimentary cheese muffins were such a delicious surprise--warm, cheesy, and absolutely addictive. We kicked things off with the deviled eggs, and they were packed with flavor. For our main meal, we had the 3-meat platter with jalapeño cheddar sausage, turkey, and Carolina pork (vinegar style). Every meat was cooked perfectly and full of incredible flavor. The collard greens were seasoned just right, and the mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy comfort in a bowl. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Jim n Nick's BBQ is a must-visit if you want fabulous food and an unforgettable dining experience!

Ate here recently with a friend. We both selected the pork plate with 2 sides. The pork was a little fatty, but I really enjoyed my sides, Mac & cheese and baked beans. Prob my fave thing were the cheddar biscuits!

1/4 BBQ Chicken with BBQ corn and fried

I have eaten here and take out. Take-out is very easy and the line moves almost as fast at Chick Fil A. Sweet tea is always good and fresh and BBQ Chicken was cooked perfect. I love the outside patio area when the weather is nice. TVs available and caught a Tennessee baseball game last week. Brisket and brisket chili is excellent. Warm corn muffins to the table as you wait on food. But food never takes much time here. The only reason I didn't do 5 starts is I am just not a big fan of their sauce. The original is OK. Just not the style I prefer. However, the meats are great. Some days I order takeout and take home and use my favorite BBQ sauces and get a 5 star meal at home. If you are not a fan of their sauce, order what you want without sauce and take it home, you will not be disappointed.

Barbecue Chicken Sandwich with a side of white sauce

First time I went I ordered a barbecue chicken sandwich with white sauce (a nearby Alabama favorite). The chicken was slimy and seemed a bit undercooked, which made me feel uncomfortable about going back. However I went back and tried the spare ribs and was much more satisfied. In fact the rub and char was so good it didn't even need the barbecue sauce. The sides of Mac and cheese and fries were fine on both trips however the real star was the service. While Jim N Nicks is an order at the counter kind of place, we had at least 5 or 6 people come by our table asking if we needed anything. Oh and their cheese biscuits are pretty good too. The service along with the rub on the ribs saved me from not coming back, so Jim N Nick's is solid but not my favorite barbecue around.

Enjoyed a combo plate of Ribs and brisket - wow the most awesome ribs!!! Enjoyed sides of baked beans and potato salad and of course the complimentary cheese biscuits. Jim 'N Nick's never disappoints!!

It's a chain BBQ place, but I liked it - I really liked it. It's a 10/10 as far as Knoxville BBQ goes, 7/10 for BBQ overall - and it's a chain... I don't know how I feel about that. Place was packed, in line with a group of 8 people and a kind worker set aside a table for our group. Order at the front and get a number, food is brought to your table. Food came out in 10 minutes, every seat was full including the outside heated (warm) patio. Before the food comes out they bring out a tray of "cheese biscuits" they are more like muffins, slightly sweet with a sweet butter - they were alright. Mac & Cheese was solid, I'm not a Mac & cheese fan but this one was pretty good with a cheese crust. Collard greens on point, potato salad was meh - take it or leave it. The regular pulled pork was good juicy - not dry, as was the chicken. The marbled fatty brisket was moist, tender and what I was hoping to find. Servers even came around and filled up our sodas - it's not a table service waiter kind of place so that was nice. Great experience my first time out and I'll be back.

Delicious BBQ in Knoxville. Lots of choices. We love they don't have freezers and everything is fresh. The line was out the door but moved fast. We started with the Deviled Eggs - which were delicious. My son had the loaded Mac & Cheese. He loved it. It doesn't come with sides though. My husband had the 3 meat plate with: sausage, ribs and brisket. His sides were loaded baked potato and onion rings. He was stuffed. I had the 2 meat plate with pulled chicken & pork with coleslaw and Mac & cheese. All delicious. The banana pudding was like grandma used to make. The General Manger was checking on everyone. Restaurant was clean even though it was so busy. We a very enjoyable dinner!

Really really good experience. Quick service, delicious food, free incredible little warm cheese muffins. The manager came to thank us at our table, which was very appreciative. The restaurant is big and clean. We will absolutely be back! Get the ribs or brisket!

Best BBQ I've had since visiting Raleigh, Nc 10/10 Amazing people and great vibes. Brisket chili was amazing.

The burger was cooked a perfect medium, and the wedge was fresh, crisp, and exactly what we were looking for. Even though we arrived late, the service was excellent and never felt rushed. There was still a lively crowd, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The bar is especially impressive, with towering shelves stocked with an enormous bourbon selection, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel. After last night, I'll be recommending some other place.

The calendar is on the web page. But why chase bad BBQ. This wood pellet (Traeger) grill smoked BBQ is dry. The smoke flavor is light to the point of being almost non-existent. The rub is okay, but when a brisket is this dry it's just not worth eating. The other meats are okay. The pork is probably the best thing, and it's just good not great. The ribs were okay too. The sides are about the only reason this has two stars instead of one. The mac and cheese is tasty and well made. The beans are good. Look, I don't write any reviews less than three stars and few less than four stars unless I have visited a place multiple times. Any place can have an off day, and I hate giving lower reviews to small businesses. But this is just NOT good BBQ. And, yes, I know a bit about BBQ, with deep roots in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Italy. I've cooked many briskets. Many. With wood. Cooked many pork butts and ribs. Tons. And so has my family (I have two relatives in the Dallas area who cater BBQ). So, this is not an area where I have no experience. Oh, and don't snicker at Italy in the list. I especially want to try the pork belly bites, but those are only on Fridays. I ordered the most popular dish, the gomer. I asked what the freshest meat was because the reviews varied. Many stated that there was a lot of dry meats, others report tender and perfect. My suggestion if you don't want to be disappointed is to ask what is the freshest for that moment in time. Pork was it today and it was delicious. I think next time I would rather get the meat plate as all the sides piled onto the pork was a bit over the top for me. I wanted to taste each item they have separately, but it was challenging being piled together. But that is what I get for picking the popular item and not what I think I would enjoy more. Gomer was $12. I see the cost has gone from $10, then $11 and now $12. I would not be willing to pay more than $12 but I understand the cost of food has gone up. Curious why the nacho is $16. If I understand correctly it is just the gomer with chips and cheese. I don't think that is worth $4 more. Maybe the quantity is more too??? Overall, I am happy with my first trip to Lloyd's and looking forward to pork belly bites in my future.
