Wednesday is 50% off pizzas and I ordered a 16 inch sausage, meatball, bacon and onion pizza with extra sauce and the pizza was absolutely excellent! They also have a lot of other menu items including pasta, salads, sandwiches and wraps, chicken and ribs, slices of pizza and adds for meals, desserts and much more. I do like their Italian beef sandwich and their Italian combo (Italian beef and Italian sausage) sandwich. Their prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. Jimano's Pizzeria in Waukegan is this small, nondescript hole-in-the-wall pizza shop, not a big chain, not a pain, and not a strain on your wallet. I enjoyed the deep dish The Beast this evening. I have to say, this is one of the best pies I've had in a very long time. My belly is saying "Ahhh". Thank you Jimano's for an awesome opportunity to enjoy Chicago deep dish pizza once again. Ordered the 10 piece garlic Parmesan wings, fries, jalapeno poopers, and 2litre of cherry pepsi. The fries, poppers and pepsi were perfect. The hotel I was staying at gave a discount on any orders at this restaurant, if you mention a specific phrase. Since I was back in Illinois, I was craving something hearty and fatty, which was probably not the best idea since I just started eating meat & animal products again (after being on a strict vegan diet for 3 weeks) just prior to arriving back in Chicago. The food here was definitely worth the time hugging the toilet though (haha)! The wings, Italian salad, and stuffed jalapenos were delicious! They were very savory, which is what I was craving at that given moment. I love how they give you big portion sizes as well. The staff were great! They were very friendly; however, the woman didn't know how much change to give back. Other than that, I had a wonderful experience here and I look forward to dining here again! read more

Ordered the windy city pasta. Was delivered very quickly. When I saw the size of the order I wasn't very happy considering the price. What made matters worse is that it was cold! Very QUALITY Pizza. I hate pizzas that are full of artificial or simulated pizza sauce and cheese. This was not the case w Jimano's. They use real cheese (not flavored plastic substances) and genuine pizza sauce (vs artificial red sauce that kind of tastes like tomato sauce). I get pizza from here multiple times in a week. The crust has recently gotten to be really good. My concern was that I usually have it delivered and today I thought I would pick it up. Not one person working inside had a mask on which I found to be odd considering food prep and the covid and all.?! It was like a mask less orgy inside! We were staying in a nearby hotel and saw their advertisement on the back of the channel guide which boasted "Hotel Special: 18" 2-topping pizza, breadsticks, and a two liter for $24.99." When I called, the girl seemed imposed to be taking my order. She told me the price had increased to $26.99. I asked if I could still get the lower price since that was what was advertised to me and she said no, the price had increased. I then pointed out that it was not my fault and that it was false advertising otherwise. She put me on hold and carried on without clarifying the price. She hurriedly told me she'd give me the lower price. I wasn't sure if my kids would eat anything but cheese, so I asked if I could just get extra cheese and that was it. She argued with me saying, "But you get TWO toppings!" I settled with getting half sausage (which they put on the whole pizza anyway). We then found a triangular piece of black plastic, measuring about half a square inch, located in the sauce of the pizza. The name of this place is now Jimano's Pizzeria, but I guess the name hasn't been changed officially in the listing yet...ANYWHO....best pizza hands down in these parts, if you ask me. Some people who live or are from here will say Quonset, but I beg to differ. Jimano's AKA Jimmy's has not let me down yet. The pizza is always hot and fresh when I pick it up. It's tradition that I eat a slice as I drive home. The best one is the thin crust, cheese, ground beef and bacon....I'm in ecstasy just talking about it. I could eat this pizza at least twice a week with no problems. It's conveniently located in the shopping plaza 10 minutes from my house, next to a Jewel and.....hot DAMN, a 31 Flavors....so I can run into the grocery store, get some Mint Choco Chip ice cream from the 31, pick up my pizza and be in 7th heaven when I get home...WHOOOHOOOO...... I also like the fact that they have programmed my phone number into the system so when I call all they need is my order and I don't have to give a last name and phone every single time..... Only thing is, the place is not spickin span clean, but it's not disgustingly dirty either.....also, it's really small and between customers and the pizza delivery guys coming to pick up orders, it can get a little croweded and it's HOT AS FISH GREASE IN THE PLACE! It may be hotter than Hades in here, but sometimes you have to sweat a little. The pizza is worth it and if you can't handle the heat, you can sit outside, they have some chairs out there for you. I've only tried the pizza and breadsticks, both of which I'd be all over again, but my sister also enjoys some of their other choices. Sometimes it's not a pizza kind of day (BLASPHEMY!). My husband and I ordered the BLT pizza with a stuffed crust and an order of breadsticks. It was amazing! Not only was the crust perfect but it had a ton of toppings on it, and with bacon that's definitely a good thing. I was skeptical about the breadsticks at first because they didn't look typical, but I was pleasantly surprised with those as well. This will be our go to delivery place from now on. read more

I'll start by saying this bad review is NOT about the quality of the food or the delivery service which is consistently very good in my experience. But because of my experience last night, I'd rate lower if I could. On 12/9 I placed an order from this location. I have ordered from them numerous times since about July or August of this year with no issues. I receive many emails with discounts and deals too - including an email from 12/9 with the subject line that they "missed me" and had a discount offer.  So I ordered through their website (not a 3rd party delivery service) and immediately after placing my order, I got a call that they don't deliver to my area.  Since when? And if I'm no longer in your delivery area, why keep soliciting my business? Guess what - you sure are going to miss me because I will NEVER order from you again nor will I order from any other Jimano's location. This is a really sh***y way to treat your customers.  I guess you needed money back when you allowed me the great privilege of ordering food from your restaurant and you clearly don't need that anymore. Good luck with that business strategy. 12/10/21 REVIEW UPDATE: I was contacted today almost immediately by Rod from Jimano's. He apologized for the error and the mishandling of the situation. Turns out I was and still am within their delivery area so this should not have happened. I truly appreciate his professionalism and prompt response to resolve my issue as well as his offer to make it right. This used to be our go to place for delivery.... no more. The last three times we've ordered, the order was wrong. The first time, we had to prove it to them!!!! I had the email confirmation proving what I ordered was not what was delivered. Twice since then we have ordered and again, the orders were wrong. It was late night and not worth the argument, but we will find other alternative moving forward. read more

I love their pizza!! I introduced my boyfriend to their pizza and he is all about it. It comes LOADED with the toppings you order. Often delivered before the time frame they give you. It's a little pricey, especially since you don't get a large portion for what you pay, but my husband really enjoys the Spaghetti and their breadsticks are AMAZING! You actually do get a huge order of those, but how expensive can it be to make? Anyway... it's not somewhere someone on a budget can afford to eat often but it's good as a treat. The pizza special "The Beast" which is a supreme type of pizza is just ridiculous in the amount of toppings they put on it, maybe a little too much.
