Mushroom chicken and fried rice bowl

The food is great tasting (they know how to put veggies and egg in their fried rice), the servers were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was steady but not crazy, and very clean and fairly quiet. I loved it. Would highly recommend it.

Panda Express just opened up near our house. I wish it was better. It was Ok, don't fall over yourself trying to get to it. This is a CHINESE restaurant and they ran out of white rice. How the heck does a CHINESE restaurant not have white rice ??? LOL!!! The quality is less appetizing than mall food. I got the orange chicken and sesame beef & shrimp with fried rice on the side. Not much flavor to be found anywhere. I got the rangoon.... no crab in there whatsoever. Just melted cream cheese. Hubby got the Kung pao chicken and Bejing beef. The beef had some flavor, but not enough to get excited about. Free drink refills. They have rootbeer and Fanta, which I appreciated. They had 2 different types of tea that might be worth a try. There seems to be a steady line of people constantly. The restaurant is attractive. Everyone working there yells when you walk in the door, which is weird. Get there early to grab one of the booths or regular tables, otherwise you'll be forced to sit at the uncomfortable high chairs and high top tables.

Got the big plate a with kung pow , Black pepper stake, and teriyaki chicken. The service was just like any other "fast food" place. Nothing special but after a long day in the car it was most definitely the move

Chow mein, honey walnut shrimp and honey sesame chicken.

Got 2 kids meals and a plate through the drive thru tonight! Everything was fresh, hot and the service was fast. The line inside was super long so I was expecting to have a long wait but they managed customers so well. Great addition to the area and love that they have a drive thru with multiple lanes!

Hot day. Costco run complete. Charlotte traffic testing everyone's patience. That meant one thing:…read morecomfort food stop at Taipei Express. It was pushing 97 degrees outside, and after a long afternoon of computer work and errands, I finally stopped in for the crispy scallion chicken and pan-fried dumplings. Huge portions. Fair prices. Friendly people. Consistently solid food every single time. The best part today honestly might have been the air conditioning. They've got a cool, comfortable space to wait while your order is prepared, which felt amazing after baking outside all day. I forgot to take food photos because I was hungry and ready to get home, but trust me, they pack these takeout containers like a game of Jenga. Nothing spills. Nothing shifts. Everything is packed tight and thoughtfully. Only tiny downside: the dumpling sauce goes into the same container as the hot dumplings, so by the time I got home, it had softened the bottom a bit. Still, the dumpling wrappers are thick and crispy enough to survive the trip. Into the air fryer later they go. One warning: the parking lot can be chaotic since it sits right off busy Providence Road. Just be patient. Cars are constantly pulling in, backing out, blocking entrances, and today people were absolutely treating red lights like suggestions. Saw it multiple times, including a bus cutting across traffic when I had the right-of-way. Charlotte drivers... please relax a little. That said, the food made the trip worth it. It unfortunately was quite bland, big chunks, & not crispy. Fried rice/ super bland, no additions except peas. I was unable to finish the rice due to blandness even with soy sauce. Great ambiance and staff- foods just not for me.

It is busy enough that plenty of other people had also called in for takeout. The price was higher than I thought it would be by a significant margin; I thought something was off but then rechecking their menu I saw it was indeed $20 for a vegetable entree. On the upside, they did offer brown rice at no extra charge. Still, I'll get three meals out of it and as someone who eats a lot of takeout, this was not a great value. In terms of quality, I was thrilled to find that they offered a stir-fried okra dish. This is a ubiquitous Indian dish, and of course okra is common throughout the tropics globally, but I'd never seen this offered at a Chinese restaurant before. And the rapid cooking technique typical of the cuisine produced a delightfully crisp vegetable, which went great with a black bean sauce and some very hot dried chilis. On the other hand, their interpretation of ma po tofu had some fermented broad beans but minimal vegetables (sometimes you get mushrooms or peas or at least some leeks or something) and no numbing sensation. They had a bean curd roll dish that I enjoyed, and some quality dumplings. Overall, not huge portions and a mix of okay to great quality.

It was our first visit and we wanted to try the curry. We ordered the Thai Red Curry and the Thai Green Curry. Both were perfection! The red curry had just the right amount of spice to give it flavor, but not be too spicy hot. The green was mild, but flavorful. The dumplings were so good. These were both very good and we added shrimp and chicken. I believe they would be just a satisfying with only the vegetables. This is my go to place for Asian noodle dishes from now on...can't wait to sample more of the menu on my next visit.

They genuinely did not taste like chicken at all, and I couldn't even finish them. I strongly recommend staying away from that item. I also tried to order a bubble tea without ice and was told I'd be charged an extra $2 because they would need to "add more juice." I didn't ask for extra juice, just no ice!!! And charging extra for that feels unreasonable and borderline price gouging. Ridiculous!!!! Between the poor food quality and the frustrating service, the overall experience wasn't great, and I won't be returning.
