So I went here thinking it would be the old sandwich place.. Unfortunately it's not. But I figured they look cool, I'll try it. First of all, they have 2 kinds of bread, wheat and a roll. That's it. Oh, and a lettuce wrap. Only one kind of cheese, Provolone. And No hold subs. So I first asked about the menu. I asked about the quantity of meat since they basically have a "reg sub" side and a "giant sub" side (meaning extra meat/cheese). So I just wanted to know about how much meat is "giant". The guy said it's a lot of meat. Great ok. So I order the Club Lulu off the giant sandwich side of the menu and asked them to go easy on the turkey and put more bacon since the sandwich has both meats and I prefer more of a blt than a club. ANYWAYS I get the sub, go back to work and see that I basically have a lettuce sub with 3 pieces of cold bacon, a slice of turkey, and a tomato on this thick ass loaf of bread . -_- definitely not going back. read more

If you have been to Jimmy John's before, you know exactly what you are getting. An awesome sandwich that is made while you are still placing your order! If you have not been here before, JJ's is 1000x better than Subway or Quiznos and 100x better than the sandwiches you get a Kinders. My favorites are the Italian Night Club and Vito (double meat). If you are mayo sensitive, you need to make sure that you tell them no mayo. Even light mayo is a lot of mayo. What did I learn today? They made my sandwich on stale bread. I was truly surprised at how fast they made my sandwich--they handed it to me before I could put my change away. I was the only one in the store, so I thought "wow, great service". I got the Hunter's Club because it had roast beef but the sandwhich was pretty salty. It was also a bit dry since it only had mayo in it so lacked some flavor. I had a casual meeting needed a quick luncheon place. I had recently saw this place and decided to try it out. It's a popular Midwest chain with Deli like sandwiches and friendly service. I had arrived early before lunch rush and was able to secure a booth. I stuck with the Aloha/ Hula sandwich which was basically a Turkey Club with Turkey, Tomato, Lettuce, Bacon, no Mayo with Dijon Mustard on a White soft roll. Sammie was ok but I was still hungry after the sandwich which was only of the 8" variety. The sandwich and drink was around $10 but definitely a little overpriced IM HO if you ask me. I will give them a 2nd chance because it's a newer place and I should give them a benefit of the doubt. My buddy who located to Hawaii recently was jealous we have neighborhood sandwich place, so I need to go back try a different sandwich. read more

We came to Jimmy John's today for a late lunch. The menu is too busy and hard to focus not only your mind but your eyes as it is way too high and at a ridiculous slant. One has to tilt their head all the way back to read. The music was loud which only made the staff super loud to where the cashier barely heard me. She was nice though. I wish I wasn't so rushed to order the extras because the sandwiches really need them or they are extremely bland. I asked for oil and vinegar. I should have looked at the receipt as it just said add sauce and of course there was no oil and vinegar nor "sauce" on my #10. We ordered the meal deal #12 and #10. Yes, super quick but just bland. The bread was hard and un enjoyable the meat too, just super blah. Thank goodness the chips were packed with flavor. Had to go back up to the counter for mustard packs as I forgot they only add that as an extra. It barely helped. If I wasn't so rushed I would have added pickles and peppers etc. Yeah, I know they only have provolone but it seems processed and just a weird texture. Also, from prior experience the avocado is merely an avocado type dip and not a fresh avocado, no thanks. Now the staff was EXTREMELY more loud by the time we sat down. It honestly sounded like they were playing hockey in the kitchen. Unbelievable amount of slamming things around and every clank and crash echoed throughout the place. Seriously almost 10 minutes of slamming things around. I have worked in many kitchens with younger staff but these were the most ridiculous people ever. The music got louder then they even got more loud. Honestly, the lobby should never have to hear the staff acting up like that. Good for them getting along with each other but if you're at work, do your work and have a quiet convo with coworkers to make your shift more enjoyable but take the silliness and party attitude to your own after hours time, the customers really want no part of it. I had less than half my sandwich packed it up and left. The noise was too much to stand. Also, one worker was on break when we came in and she was sitting sideways with her shoes on the seat. That's a bit gross. Over $27 for one of the worst experiences dining out. No thank you, it was insulting as a customer to have that many issues go bad. I didn't want my leftovers but didn't want to waste. So I made a superior sandwich from my own bread and condiments, pickles, onions etc and used the roast beef and cheese and tossed the rest. I absolutely would not recommend this location nor establishment. So they have a good selection of sandwiches but an even better choices of additional items to add to it. I had the Tuna Salad on French roll, I added light sprouts, extra mayo and avocado. It was so nice to have all the choices. I got the 8 inch sandwich which was more than I could eat, I took the rest home for later. I really like Jimmy John's and look forward to their subs whenever I am near a location. Today, I went into the one in Concord with my two young, Hungry, children. I stood at the counter, right in front of the cash register for at least 5 minutes while 3 people were making sandwiches - 1 of them answered phone calls periodically- but for the whole time I stood there, not ONE employee acknowledged me. This is the main sandwich place we go to, and we love it here! My dad has been on a keto/low carb diet for a while now, and then we found out about this place from some friends. They make "unwiches" here which are sandwiches with no bread (Great for low carb diets!) We've went here a few times and it's been great so far! Pretty clean place with more of a casual walk in and hang out feel to it. Their specialty is of course sandwiches with some extra knick-knacks such as chips and cookies, so if your looking for soup or something you won't find it here. As a native Californian, I had no clue about the amazingness (is that a word) of Jimmy John's. Just so happens, this is right around the corner from the ole homestead soooo I gave it a try. First, the atmosphere is super cool. Lots of fun facts & slogans on the walls and JJ gives FREE smells for all! Second, the service was on point. Quick, friendly and knowledgable about alllllll the options. Third, the food. I opted for a low carb Unwich (No bread wrapped in lettuce) #12 Beach Club and a whole pickle quartered. Ummm, could not believe how amazing this Sammie was! So yum. The pickle was crisp and cold- very important. Fourth, they deliver. Let.Me.Repeat. They Deliver!!! They only have one type of cheese and if you order a Thin slim, They do not put mayo on them, they give you a packet which they ended up forgetting. This is a great little sandwich shop with from the workers and good sandwiches. I've been here twice and both times I've got the ultimate porker. I have added provolone on each time, and got my sandwiches on French Bread. I've also got the sandwich delivered to me from Jimmy John's and it was at my door in about 15 minutes very impressive. The sandwich it's always been very good the lettuce and tomatoes and I seem very fresh and the meat is also pretty good. I really did enjoy all of the sandwiches I have eaten from here. Like I said the workers are very friendly and every time that I have walked in the store I have been greeted with a hello and I haven't had to wait more than 30 seconds to give them my order. read more

Second time having a sandwich from there and it was really good! I've got to say, when I first tried them the sandwich looked very disappointing but it tasted so good! I got the turkey avocado with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and hot peppers. No mustard. This definitely isn't a subway or togos or an old deli but I actually enjoy the taste and the bread is freaking amazing I love the white bread roll. They do put a good amount of mayo so just tell them to put light mayo! Yeah I admit I was kind of excited when I saw a new sub shop opened, again excited when I saw it was located next to trader Joe's and even more excite by the decor. THAT where the excitement ends. I have eaten Jimmy John's sandwiches on the East Coast on many an occasion. I didn't know that this location was in Concord until I stumbled upon it today. I ordered a turkey sandwich on multigrain, hold the mayo though with Dijon mustard. My sandwich was made surprisingly fast. I took it back to my office and was dismayed to find that whoever make the sandwich used the heel of the loaf of bread. A heel? No one at home would use a heel in a sandwich. As a result my sandwich was dry and the taste of the sandwich was masked. Very disappointing. Next time I'll just head over to Capriotti's. read more

For some reason I am a fan of this place LOL! I love the fact that it takes them about 45 seconds to actually make your sandwich. It is nice to know that you are going to get in and out within 3 minutes when you are going to a non fast food place. I also like the fact that the bread is thin as they pull out the excess bread on the inside (a little wasteful though). The Turkey Tom #4 is my favorite. For a full sandwich wither everything it is only 550 calories which is pretty good for a full sized sandwich. The mayonnaise is super tasty and stands out for some reason when I eat here. When I am really feeling it I will get a pickle which they can cut all different ways for you. It is a nice little bit of crunch and saltiness that complements any sandwich well. In regards to the bread, it is nothing extraordinary. Really all the ingredients are just satisfactory and probably not that great in and of themselves. But it's the collective taste that is above average in my book. The ambiance is totally standard for a chain this size but is always clean and professional looking. Last the price point is on point. Pretty cheap for a solid sandwich. It will never compete in quality, size and taste with the "real" delis in Concord/Clayton, see Luigi's, Canesa's, etc. But it doesn't have to. read more

I walked by Jimmy John's the last time I was in the area, but decided to go somewhere else instead. Today, I had not eaten all day so I decided to give this place a shot. Before I begin, I should also point out that I do love Quiznos for my sandwiches, so my review may be a bit biased. Anyways, as soon as I walked in, I noticed how clean it was. It was quite impressive. I walked up and looked at the menu, but was disappointed in the limited selection. I was hoping there would be something along the lines of a meatball sandwich, or a chicken sandwich, or something more than just a basic sandwich. I decided on the #10 Hunters Club (I think) with no tomato, and before I was done grabbing a soda, the sandwich was ready. The sandwich was a pretty decent size, although lettuce made up the majority of the sandwich. The bread was not too bad, and the roast beef was pretty tasty. I was expecting the mayo to be bland, but to my surprise, it packs a lot of flavor. Unfortunately, there was too much mayo and it overpowered the provolone. I will have to remember to ask for light mayo the next time I stop by here. So, if you are looking for a very fast meal, this place is quick and extremely clean. Definitely not satisfied with the delivery service. Delivery took 40 minutes and it's literally a 6 min. Drive. The reason they said was because they had run out of bread.
